So here I was sitting down and enjoying my pizza after a long day (well the left side of it I should say)...Im about 3 slices in when I taste nothing but pesto and char. 😅 The service was good and the employees were kind, and I usually have positive experiences at Pieology... But the right side of that pizza 🔥🔥🔥

It was super busy and there was only 1 person working. But she was so delightful and pleasant and really tried to make everything go quickly. I was very impressed by her they should make her manager or give her a raise! I purchased 2 customs on the app and they were made right!

We went to get dinner and the female employee greeted us by saying ugh, people love to make orders before closing. This was not a welcoming comment. The entire time she was creating the pizzas she had an attitude. She then got a phone call for another order and she said ugh, another one!. All 5 pizzas were burned and the customer service was very dissatisfying

We were very impressed with both the food and the service. A member of our party had multiple food sensitivities and the staff went above and beyond in making sure everything was OK for her. They were very patient in gathering all the ingredient lists and information for us. And food itself was wonderful! Well definitely be back.

If you want super slow pizza under the guise of fast and fresh, this is your place! Do not expect Blaze or PizzaRev level here. Pizza’s good though. There were 3 people, one making pizza, one bossing them around, and one cleaning a juice machine all the whole orders are backing up, people were waiting 20 minutes for a 5 minute pizza, and app/online orders were piling up.

Went there for a gluten free pizza. Staff had knowledge about how to manipulate food without crossed contamination. They even put the pizza in the oven with a paper sheet underneath to prevent the contamination.Pizza was great on top of that.

We frequently dine here and usually results in a really great experience. The staff here is very kind, but last night this wasnt the case. Maybe it was partly my own fault for coming in 1/2 hr before closing. We walked in nobody was at the counter for several minutes and finally a girl (I think her name was Macy or something) came out, didnt even greet us. First thing she said was: how many pies tonight. Notice I didnt use a question mark there, that was her tone.A second person with longer brown hair came out to help, he was much nicer. Macy goes to the back and leaves my pizza in the very hot oven until the guy notices and tries to move it around. I could tell he needed her help too but she was in the back for a while so it resulted in the worst, burned black crust I have ever tasted. While Macy was in the back I even told the guy to please let her know that we were really sorry that we came in so late and that we didnt mean to ruin her night. I didnt feel comfortable calling to even complain to her about my burnt pizzas, that we didnt even eat and threw away. What a waste of money.Its crazy, youd think they would have online orders even during the last half hr of the day so why get upset when guests walk in? I guess the managers name is John. Im hoping maybe he can at least make up for my burnt pizzas at no charge.BTW, Im not sure if John happens to be the guy who wears glasses. But hes the nicest guy there, always friendly and remembers us every time we go in. Awesome guy.

Gluten free pizza crust is available! Inexpensive and delicious create-your-own pizza restaurant. $22 for two pizzas. The ingredients are fresh, pizza dough is rolled out when order. It was my first time at a Pieology and the girl who helped us was very friendly and helped me pick out the ingredients I needed for a BBQ chicken pizza.

The last two times we have gotten Pizza To Go, it has been burnt so badly that the bottom is totally blackened and the top crust on the edges is pure black. When we took it back, they would not give us our money back. Their Pizza is too expensive to receive in that condition not once, but twice. Will no longer return to that Pizzeria

This place is like the subway of pizza places. But they arent very good with cross contamination. Specifically, the sauces had a bit of every sauce in them from not being careful, veggies or meats or cheese in with other items due to fast-paced environment.When handling their gluten-free pizzas, they do not wash their hands OR put on new gloves OR take the precaution that the surface theyre working on is also contaminated from the other non gluten-free pizzas. (Whats the point in offering a gluten-free option that isnt actually gluten-free?) 🤔

I am always a little nervous about coming to places like this because I like a lot of toppings, however, the crew working here was amazing. They have me the amount that I wanted and didnt roll their eyes act irritated with me. I also asked for my pizza to be really crispy and I like it VERY crispy. They got it absolutely perfect! They joked around with me and we had fun while my pizza was cooking also. This place was great. Once I got the pizza home and started eating, I couldnt stop! The way they had spread all my rooms allowed everything to cook perfectly and marry all the flavors together so each bite was an explosion of flavor in my mouth!

The pizza is amazing. Their website says they deliver pizza, however they do not deliver. When I called to confirm she told me they do not deliver yet I paid 20% delivery fee. She checks the ticket and says there is no delivery fee. I said just cancel my order. She says I have to do that online. I cannot cancel online. I go ahead and pick up order. I call at curbside and they already canceled order but would restart order. 20 min later we get a text saying order is canceled. I call and number goes to voice-mail 3 times. I leave and get a phone call from unknown number saying are you out front. I doubt they could careless about this review but just know they do not deliver like their website says.

Id really like to do a series on customer service. Since moving the front of the Pacific Northwest to Bakersfield I have struggled to find good customer service.I was on my way to the Habit for a salad they have great salads great proportions for the price. I saw pieology and I remembered in Portland getting the salads there I enjoyed them because they would mix them in a bowl and you can get so many different toppings. This was not the case at this pieology theyre packed in a my opinion pretty small for the price plastic container the employee was very skimmed on the toppings and the salad dressing that they said was a homemade hidden valley ranch Im pretty sure the hidden valley would be ashamed to have their name associated with it. It was very watery. I realized prices are going up everywhere but its also charged 90 cents for this extra side of ranch.But the overpriced salad wasnt even my complaint my complaint was the attitude actually. The server was just playing rude I feel if youre offering a lunch special and just because youre slow youre backed up you dont have enough employees if youre in the door before its time its good customer service to honor the lunch special why lose a customer over that 2 minute why lose a customer over poor customer service theres so many choices just in the shopping center I just wish people value good customer service.

Im writing this because my wife and I have supported Pieology from the day they opened . We ate here every Friday night for a couple years and enjoyed the pizza and the crusts and toppings. The staff was great and the place was clean and organized.Ever since Pieology reopened though it hasnt been anywhere close to what it used to be. The pizza is still pretty good but you practically have to twist the employees arms to get acceptable cheese and toppings on it. The employees just arent as good as they were and the place is dirty.

Different take on pizza, but absolutely fantastic pizza. They caters to both the health coincidence and junk food eater alike.I was reminded of Chipotle as I first walk in; as far as the restaurant was set up. I was pleasantly surprised by the operation, however. Aside from the pizza, the staff was great. They were very friendly and patient with their customers.The pizza took less than 5min to cook. The portions were excellent, and each pizza cost only $8.49; which is well worth it. Unlimited toppings. Im shocked their wasnt a line out the door. All in all, my experience was absolutely wonderful.Id eat there again, without doubt. I highly recommend you stop in and make a pizza yourself.

Been going here since it opened. Dont know what has happened in the last 6 months but service sucks. Pizza was burnt. Asked for another one and took 25 minutes to make it. But they gave mine out to someone else and tried giving me someone elses. Asked for my money back and the manager had to call someone else to to walk her through how to do a refund.

The employees are wonderful and friendly and on top of things. The soda and tea selection is good and the environment is good. For me personally the pizza is pretty good, but it feels like it could be better. It seems like a few toppings are missing are some different flavors.I also dont like either the Italian sausage or the other type of sausage that they offer compared to sausage offered at other restaurants.

Wow. What a let down after seeing customer pics on here. The pizza is basically cafeteria quality. All the online pics make it look like fresh dough not prefab crust but if this didnt come from a freezer Id be shocked. The sauce tastes like generic dollar store spaghetti sauce. Again looking at alleged customer pics I was expecting to actually get some toppings but you get more toppings on a frozen pizza from the grocery store. And they werent even spread out. There are two pieces that got chicken on them, maybe three that got what I think is sausage, and I guess they feel fancy calling ground beef meatballs. If this is extra cheese Id hate to see what regular cheese is. DoorDash delivers from grocery stores now, I could have gotten TWO better pizzas delivered from the freezer section for the same money. Tasted great. The crust was nice and crispy. The ingredients all looked fresh alls good. Loved that you could customize it exactly how you want it. It was fun to watch them put each of our pizzas in the woods burning open oven and shift everything around to mange sure all the pizzas cooked evenly. My husband and I also loved the watermelon tea. It was refreshing and light. My husband never adds sweetener to his tea and I usually add a little but we both agreed that this tea didnt need anything extra.

This rating is not for the food but for an employee.We have been to this pieolagy about 1-2 times a month since it has opened and normally we love it. However, the past two times we have been here one of the new employees has been very rude and unsanitary. I always get an after bake on my pizza and when I do this they ask what number is on the pizza so they know what pizza to put the after bake on. When I asked what number my pizza had on it she told me thats not for you. When I saw the number and told my husband what it was so he could let the cashier know she told use you dont need that, thats not for you. I informed her I wanted an after bake on my pizza and she said she would take care of it. When we got our pizzas there was no after bake on my pizza, instead it was on my daughters pizza. They remade my daughters pizza but what happened with the messed up pizza? She added more toppings on the pizza and took it on the patio and ate it. This time when we came in she was again rude. She spent about 5 minutes restocking the line that didnt need to be restocked when there were about 6 pizzas waiting to be made. She started on my husbands pizza and half way through walked away to go to the back for god knows what. When she came back she didnt have anything with her then proceeded to work on my husbands pizza. When he stopped her and asked her to change her gloves she rolled her eyes and ripped her gloves off. I have worked in the restaurant industry for a very long time, I know that you can not walk around touching everything then touch the food! Disgusting! Someone needs to do something about her before she makes someone sick. My husband told the cashier that the second pizza needs an after bake. When the cashier asked what number the second pizza was she told him it doesnt matter. This time we ignored her and told him what number is was and guess what... they didnt mess up our order. Amazing how that works right!

They are slower and their top priorty is getting the online orders done first before starting the order of the people who are standing in line. And when or if you place an online order, your pizzas will be made with very little toppings, making you angry because it took over an hour to cook for a flimsy, mediocre pie. Used to be a great location. But the current staff is underwhelming. VERY solid ordering process, inconsistent with the toppings, frequently burnt crust. Still love the food, but each visit is painful.The place is open until 9:30, but half the employees quit working at 8:00 and start shutting things down, putting things away, and planning chairs on the tables; it makes you feel like youre intruding to be there ordering food.Plus, they just raised their prices to go along with the poor service and lower quality.

So, we came in and people in front of us ordered 8 pizza’s there was only three people working. Two of the three were just sitting or walking around. The guy doing all the work was named Zackary. He was a rock star! He got everyone’s pizzas done and kept apologizing it took so long. If the other two employees helped it would’ve gone faster. Needless to say my husband made sure to tip Zackary. Hopefully this gets him some recognition. The other two people couldn’t figure out what anyone ordered. They kept asking what pizza was ours.

Ordered pizza at 730pm told to be there at 755, i arriced at 745 no worries.. however its no 8pm and its still not ready. Seriousky the guys who made the pizza inline when i got there had their pizza before me who ordered 29 minutes before they were even in line! What a waste of my time. Definitly will think twice of ordering from here, the pizza place by CSUB and stockdale is faster and better even with people in line. Order was complete and correct. Food was hot, two of the five pizzas were burnt on the crust. Almost returned one of the pizzas because of this. Some staff was pleasant, attentive and others seem distracted. All the tables and chairs needed to be wiped down. Mostly littered with crumbs and food. The floor needed swiping as well. Rating break down is: Food is four stars. Lobby cleanness two stars. Staff three stars.Owners/Management definitely needs step-up at this location.

Quick, easy painless. I ordered online. Waited 10 min. By the time I arrived they were taking it out of the oven. I walked up to the pick up window and i was out in less than 2 min...the pizza and salad was yummy!! Win win!

Tried 3 times and all 3 times it was inaccurate with pizzas being cold at pick up time, or only half thr order being done at pick up time. Just got my order after an hour wait for a pizza and “cheesy” bread. The cheesy bread is dry and not cheesy. The pizza is lukewarm at best, doesn’t taste good, and is half crust and sauce. The cheese and toppings end halfway up the pizza.

I think they were pretty busy the time I wrote about in my old post. I have had their pizza over 10 times since and always order ahead so theres no wait. We come here about once a month. We came today and the gal in the red shirt who was making the pizzas her hair was a mess and it was everywhere. Everyone else who was working with the food has their hair pulled back. We were waiting in line and also heard someone else talking about it. I absolutely love this place, even though the price went up by a dollar compared to whats listed online, your options for pizza are huge from sauces to unlimited toppings, a variety of sauces, etc. I would reccomend Pieology above any other similar pizza chain. Took over ten mins to even be helped, there was no line and at least five people working. There is employees off the clock standing around talking to the ones that are supposed to be working.
