Ive been searching for a good Mandarin restaurant (they have other styles too, good menu) for a long time. While staying in my old hood, a person suggested Pings here in San Rafael, CA. You can order ahead but uses a company to delivery, I used Uber.The food was hot upon arrival, very good and reasonably priced for the portions of food. I will order again the next time I visit here.This was takeout, can not say about the ambiance of the restaurant or the service. Who ever took my order was so pleasant and helpful.

I have gone to pings for a long time which is now bought out and called Emma’s, and I regret to have to make this review because they had the best Chinese food around but what I just ate had to be the equivalent of eating yesterday’s meal out of the toilet I have never had Chinese food I have ever actually been disappointed in that I threw it out save your stomach and your pocket you want Chinese food go to Safeway and get P.F. Chang’s. It’s that much better.

Delicious Food. When my children were young, their Aquarium had lots of exotic fish and was very popular. Went again this week after a dozen years, and the food and ambiance did not disappoint. My now 21yo agreed and confirmed my 5 Star Rating.

I had a terrible experience going to this restaurant, they honestly don’t deserve the ratings they have. I arrived 30 minutes before closing and their waiter was being rude telling me that they’re close even though they still had 30 mins left. I tried ordering to go and their waiter immediately asked me what I wanted without giving me a chance to look at the menu. Once I told her, she told me they didn’t have the rice that I wanted with an attitude and immediately began to make fun of me with her coworkers. I highly recommend anyone to NOT come to this restaurant. Horrible customer service and lack of respect for guests. I hope they close down soon.

So I came here because I been meaning to try when I door dash I find new places thanks to you all lol.Lunch special I asked what was the shrimp made out of ... the lady was cool with it. I was happy with her response. I got plate but I didnt like the presentation .I have seen other places where my plate looks very pretty and decorated I dont know but they look clean . This one was kinda sloppy. 🔥My plate was very well in temperature that is a big plus . I tried the rice . I loved the rice and the shrimp I think its the princess ones but they little spicy very good and a kick to them the broccoli 🥦 was very delicious its 3 stars here in GOOgle but I give the food a 8 out of 10Plus I loved the soup I did.And the old skinny man he was just old skoo no harm but for real let them know they messed up if they did . But they are polite in their way. My bill was 11.95 I gave a whole 20.00 like I said its a old skool joint ehh.. u get what u get . Its just that simple. Because we grew with this place its a local.. sooo 8 out 10 .

Terrible service. Very rude attitude, seemed like they didnt care at all. Did not explain what i was asking, rushed me into making a decision because they were going to close (even though they still had 20 minutes), received half my order and paid for the whole thing, when I complained they were like no, sorry. we are closed. the food inside the bag was messy and very gross since some sauce had touched all the other containers. Awful place. Not going back.

Food is great. But the delivery is too often wrong. Im diabetic and we dont eat shrimp. So they delivered us sprite and shrimp noodles.I feel sorry for Nathalie, who received our $70 order.

Ping’s Restaurant has very poor customer service. I placed an order for three items and forgot to include one of the times. I called to inform them that the item as missing and they questioned if I was sure that the item was missing. They agreed to prepare the missing item and I went to pick up the item. I received 6 calls from them asking if I was on the way to pick up the food because they were about to close. Regardless of the time they close if they made the mistake of forgetting something from an order they are bound to wait patiently and professionally until I arrive to pick up. This did not happen, they were rude and practically threw the food at me when I had arrived. This restaurant does not deserve the rating that it currently has because it honestly does not l take care of their customer and rectify the mistakes it has made. You’re better off going to Ping’s next to the Safeway at Terra Linda. They do know how to take care of their customers.

Waited over an hour for food, and the person at the cashier argued with us about our order telling us we order stuff we didn’t. When we finally got our food it was the completely wrong order. They remade it and gave it to us again but the order was still wrong. What was supposed to be gluten free was made with wheat noodles and a dish requested to be make without egg had a ton of egg in it. Do not recommend if you have any dietary restrictions or if you want good service. Terrible experience.

Great service, great prices, great food! Just moved to San Rafael and Im so glad I was introduced to this place. The ambiance is nice too, with a fish tank, lots of seating. Servers were very attentive.The egg foo young was a bit bland, but the vegetables were crisp and flavorful. The sesame fried prawns had a good flavor and wasnt overly breaded. Singapore rice noodles with curry sauce... delish pan fried flavor and variety of meats. They have many unique dishes that I havent seen before. Will be back soon!

I ordered take out tonight. Even though they were slammed, they got my food done in 10 minutes. The princess chicken is so garlicky and just the right amount of spicy. The BBQ pork chow mein is killer, so is the hot and sour soup. Plus they are super friendly!

Used to be my and partners favorite place! Same management but other employee lacking. Doesnt speak English very well and is very uppity when trying to place order. Impatient and just rushes off without really understanding. And when you get wrong order, says its your fault. Owner still awesome but just lost a customer. Friend doesnt ever want food from them again. Sad

We were in n the area and decided to stop. Great decision. Tony was very helpful with my decision what to have for dinner.I had the Mongolian Beef it was delicious!! There was a nice amount of beef that was juicy and tender. The sauce had just enough spice. I ate every bite of food in the plate.My husband had the Spicy Basil Chicken. Again checked full of tender chicken breast. The chicken was tender you did not need a knife.The server walked by with a bowl of their special wonton soup. It was a large bowl looked like enough for 6 servings.Both dishes were excellent!! Everything we saw served looked appetizing.Service was friendly and welcoming .made us feel.like they valued our business.

I only ate their once. I cant say if it bad or good with one sitting. I just know I got the sesame shrimp. The sauce had a burnt taste. Nothing to nasty. Just a little off. Service was good. The place looked clean. My stomach didnt feel good that night. I will try again and review this restaurant soon. I give it a three star right now.

I love Chinese food, and have been very frustrated trying to find a great place in the San Rafael area we could count on for consistency. After trying 4-5 different places weve settled on Pings. Its decent, not great. They are very quick with take out orders so youre in and out. They usually have a coupon available which makes the pricing more reasonable. The location is tough to get to, but its worth it for me.

Their food is generally very good, except recently part of my order was Crispy Duck; well not so crispy as it turned out. As it was for takeout, when at home I opened to contained to discover a non-crispy, pale looking dish that could not have been in the wok longer than 30 seconds. Perfection???

There is a woman working the desk often who couldnt be worse at her job, I see she is mentioned in other reviews. She shouldnt be in the food industry nor customer service, I have had many bad experiences with her... the food here is great so I will continue to go here though I really dont have a choice, Chinese food is lousy in this area. Portion size, taste and prices here are great although meat quality has room for improvement... still my place of choice though and I stand by that.

This is the worst Chinese food I have ever had. I couldnt believe it when I saw the pot stickers. They were dried up and shriveled - looked like they were from a frozen package. The Sweet and Sour chicken was disgusting. The fried rice was pretty much the only thing we could eat.

I dined-in for a quick meal at this Chinese restaurant for the 1st time. They didnt have the dish I wanted, so I ordered Combination Chow Fun. They didnt have the Chow Fun noodles for some reason, which was odd since its a very basic Chinese noodle, so I ordered Chow Mein instead.The Chow Mein was adequate, but rather pricey for such a basic dish. Ive had much better Chow Mein at other restaurants for a lot less $$.Suffice it to say, I wont be coming back to eat here.

I ordered some food through grubhub and was told the restaurant would deliver it themselves. I order at 12:40pm and was told I would get it between 1:40pm - 1:50pm. I didnt get any notification saying my order was running late so.i waited patiently. Its now 2:45 pm and I still dont have my order. So I called or tried calling the restaurant about 3 times and they didnt pick up. Finally went on Grubb and chatted with a nice lady who was able to reach the restaurantThey had the audacity to tell her they couldnt complete the order so theyll have to cancel it. I.legit was starving for hours and they didnt call or text me that I wasnt gonna get my ducking Food like what the hell?

We arrived with a party of nine. They had room at the big table. Very friendly and professional owner. He rushed around to get everything set for us. They really took care of us. The stand out dishes for me were Salt and pepper prawns, Mongolian beef, and the cashew chicken. It was all yummy and we had a good time as well. This is one of my fathers restaurants. They treat him like a celebrity. This also pleases me. Good times at Pings!

I ordered the mapo tofu VEGETARIAN (theres even an option on DoorDash and on their take out menu), and it came with meat so I had nothing to eat for lunch. The salt and pepper prawns we ordered for my parents was NOT what every other restaurant serves (head on prawns, lightly breaded), they were fully breaded small shrimp like popcorn shrimp. Contacted DoorDash customer service and they only provided a $2.80 credit.Dont offer a vegetarian option for a dish if you cant follow instructions.

This Chinese restaurant is not my favorite. But its a close friends favorite restaurant. Some things are great - Hot and Sour soup. Its great and if you have a cold its actually made me feel better and shortened the cold. But some basic foods like Egg Rolls, once was enough. So try it. Food is such a personal thing. If its my friends favorite, it may be yours. I give it a 3 as I cant speak for everyone, combined with my friends loving it. Great fortune cookies! There something else I love.

Best Chinese food in Marin. Fresh ingredients, delicious dishes, and lots of menu items to choose from. The soups are amazing, as is the Princess Beef and calamari with green beans. Staff is friendly and service is fast. Pings is one of my favorite restaurant in the area.

The waitress demand to be tipped by a customer for a to go order. He paid in cash. She counted the cash and the said wait that doesnt include tips. That doesnt include tips He was so embarrassed that he gave her money. I have worked for tips at several types of jobs; if my boss caught me saying that, then I would have been fired. This waitress was young with long black hair working on 4/2/16. By the way,I have been a customer since 1998, but I have not returned since that experience.

Tony is the nicest restaurant owner ive ever met. He is very nice and all his staff work hard and serve quickly. Food is amazing !! They had a new cook/owner for a couple of months (garbage), but they came back now. Its the only place my whole family and i get chinese food from. The place isnt the fanciest restaurant ever, but they are very welcoming and they make sure you enjoy your meal.

I just ordered a kung pao chicken and it was disgusting. There was less than 4 pieces of chicken and over 1 can of water chestnuts. I pulled out more water chestnuts than i had rice on my order. IT was horrible. By the time I got done pulling out the chestnuts i was no longer interested in the few bites that remained. ON a side note, atleast it wasnt expensive so I didnt waste any money! still =( BOOOO

Delicious! Best Chinese food in the North Bay. I really like the dumplings, Kung Pao chicken, Mongolian beef, broccoli beef, chow mein, and crispy noodles. So far everything Ive had was great. Everyone who works there is really nice too.

Today was my first time coming here and I expected it to go well, got my food pretty fast, no complaints there but at the end as I payed one of the ladys asked why I didnt tip them and I just didnt think the services was worth a tip, nothing wrong with the service just not tip worthy. I told them that I was low on money and she said take it to go next time this place is really rude. Never coming back here.

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Marin. Best potstickers and Orange chicken Ive found north of the city. My daughter always gets the Chow Mein and Broccoli Beef, and the noodles are high quality and the beef is very tender.
