Really good and tasty Thai food prepared from scratch. My favorite neighborhood Thai spot for sure. You wont get disappointed whatever you order. I usually go there to have some soup, pink pepper rolls, their spicy beef salad (mild) and Thai coffee. Delicious!

The food was really good and there are some less expensive options on the menu. The staff is nice and are attentive. I will say it took an extraordinary amount of time for our dishes to come out and it was only us and one other couple in the whole place so not sure what the hold up was. But the decor is really nice.

My friend and I had the panang curry. I got the one with shrimp and he got the one with chicken soup. Their curry is sooo darn good and flavorful! If I wasn’t going to an event after dinner, I would’ve taken my leftover curry home! My friend got the wonton soup and he enjoyed it.This restaurant is perfectly situated if you’re going to the Roosevelt Hotel or walking around Hollywood.Great service as well!

Thai food is always my comfort, go-to meal and this restaurant do justice. It’s a walking distance from where I used to live and we love to come here to dine or takeouts.My favorite menu is got to be Green Curry. The Red Curry and Pad Thai are pretty good too. They have special menus of ‘modernized’ Thai food, but i always go for the traditional ones. Tasted delicious, with the perfect amount of spices.

INCREDIBLE place!! The curry lamb is amazing, please order the pineapple rice with it, its truly incredible!!! The wines are great as well - we order a bottle of Pinot noir (HonNob) and the mango sticky rice is the best!!!! Super relax ambiance, great music, outstanding service. Parking in the back!

Very good food and customer service. We were not familiar with the tipping system in the US, and after making a mistake the waitress explained it very respectfully, and we were able to correct it. She was also beyond nice, smiling and helpful. Her boss sitting there had a negative vibe though.

RACISTS ALERT!We visited as a family of 4 with our parents & hated the treatment. We waited 40+ minutes, not even water was offered as a courtesy. I have requested 4 times to take the order, they just ignored by taking orders & serving the people that came after us. The lady’s behavior was very rude! Even when we were leaving, she wasn’t apologetic. She just gave the racist looks all the time. Just be prepared before going to the restaurant, you never know what you will be served!!

Really solid Thai food but the service could be better. I highly recommend the Garlic chicken and Tom Yum.soup. Green curry was good as well. The Spicy fried rice was pretty flavorless but that was probably the only disappointment. If the service improved then I’d definitely say it’s a must try for the price.

(Update: Bumped up the rating from one to three stars for the positive experience last time).First of all, if youre planning to spend less than $35 here, good luck finding a place to park. The parking structure next door charges $15, and the restaurant validates only upto an hour if you spend more than $35 DINING IN. I was there to pick up an order I placed half an hour before arriving. Upon my arrival, I was told they were still working on just a chicken bowl and rice. I waited almost 25 more minutes and it still wasnt ready. There were other customers waiting after me and they werent even acknowledged for 10 minutes. And when I walked in, the server didnt even bother greeting or just saying hi and straight jumped into for here or to go?. Absolutely horrible service.

Not memorable and most likely wont return. Service was nice and quick on a wed night. Ordered spicy shrimp fried rice and coco ice cream and sticky rice. $17 for normal portion of rice and $12 for one scoop of ice cream and one scoop of rice, a little pricey for the mid quality food and serving.

I always wonder why NO ONE, and I do mean literally no one, is ever in this restaurant. Today, I understood why. The woman with a black ponytail is rude. I asked if I could substitute the white rice for fried rice, she rudely said, “No.” When I asked if I could pay extra she said, “No” again because apparently they “only make friedrice for big servings.” I won’t even comment on how she greeted me as if I wasn’t welcome. So I walked out. I’ve eaten here once before & the food was good! The male server was also good. That’s why I’m always shocked when I see no one’s in the restaurant. But I get it now. Rudeness & treating people as if you don’t need their money will keep your restaurant empty.

This was just the kind of place I was hoping to find in this crazy, touristy area. Went in at a non-peak dining hour and received friendly, fast service. I highly recommend the curry salmon. It was cooked absolutely perfectly, was a substantial portion and had a delicious sauce and accompanying nicely cooked vegetables. Pricing was totally fair. Will definitely go back.

I wish I would have taken photos because the food was absolutely divine. I thought I’d have left overs but it was so fresh and healthy I didn’t even feel guilty. Had a glass of Pinot noir, the pineapple curry (AMAZING) and the Pink Pepper Rolls. All vegetarian and delicious to the point you wanna roll your eyes back into your head. I’ll be back to take pics of the food before literally devouring it - ASAP! Staff super friendly too :) thank you guys.

Nice cozy thai restaurant selling an interesting mix of Thai and asian food. We had the Tom Yam soup, the chicken satay, the thai salmon and the phad thai. The tom yam soup (chicken) was spiced at level 3/5 cos we wont sure how spicy it would be but it turns out quite mild and not spicy enough. The phad thai was well cooked but a tad too sweet. The highlight was the chicken satay (4 pieces) and Salmon, both were cooked to perfection. The service was great and price for 4 dishes + 2 jasmine rice was reasonably (total + tips) for 3 pax comes around to $90.

So…I usually eat here at least once a week, sometimes I pay with my card and sometimes with cash. Today will be my last day eating here after hesitation of taking an old $20 bill due to suspicion of it being fraudulent. Just because the bill was redesigned in 1998 doesn’t mean the ones prior are obsolete. I googled how to check the legitimacy of the bill and suggested she have a marker to check bills if it is a concern. After getting validation from coworkers in the kitchen, she finally rang up my order with NO apology whatsoever. Food is very expensive these days and I can spend my money elsewhere without getting accused of being a counterfeiter and subpar customer service.

I did get delivery. Thankfully the food was still nice and hot.Overall I feel like everything lacked the specialness of Thai cuisine.I really do think its because nearly every restaurant is catering to the palette of Americans. What can you do?I dont think the Tom Yum Gai used fresh lemongrass and the tub contained over 2/3 rds of broth, not much meat or mushrooms.Pad Thai Noodles. My taste buds must be off as others really liked this dish and happily dug in.Anyway I wont keep going. I hope they do well.

Loved my Panang Curry with chicken and extra veggies! Theyre very sweet and patient, as we hung out and talked for nearly 4 hours and they brought us water refills long after we had paid and shouldve left. It wasnt terribly busy, so I imagine if they had needed the table maybe they wouldve dropped some hints. :-)

Had lunch on Sat. and was pleasantly surprised of the quality of food considering its basically a small fast food carry out establishment although they do have limited tables for dining in. Ordered the 2 meal combo plate for $6.99 which was a decent amount of food and tasted good. I usually drive to Panda Express once every 3 weeks to La Canada but now I maybe have found a better fix for my fast food chinese craving experience. I would recommend to anyone that is looking for good quality of asian cooking for less amount of spending.

This place has the BEST Thai food! Ive had almost the entire menu and its really really good (its the best around, especially since Chan Darae and Chan Dara, its local competitors, are now gone). Way better than Natalie Thai; way better. Friendly staff. Beautiful inside and nice patio near all the Hollywood Boulevard and Sunset Boulevard tourist stuff. Great for tourists and locals. Please patronize this place so they dont close; we cant lose any more Thai food resources please!

I love the food here, tasty, fresh and cooked with quality ingredients. The service is really good and attentive. I go to pink pepper very often when I feel like having a low key night out. Prices are also very reasonable. The only problem is that sometimes the place is empty, I guess because is tucked away on a side street and not many people are aware that it is there. Beside that I love the food and will keep going back.

My husband and I went there for lunch a few weeks ago. I had the chicken satay lunch special and my husband had the chicken curry lunch special. The food was excellent and I asked for extra peanut sauce twice and they brought it but I had to flag the server a few times because two of them were talking constantly. The very worst service we have seen in a long time. There was only 1 person to take orders, serve, attend the phone and handle takeout orders. Naturally everything was delayed and some items in our order were missed. On top of that they didnt have enough cutlery for our table! Not enough mugs, soup spoons or table mats. Despite that in the end the place also charged an 18% service fee despite such poor service.Food wise vegetarian options available.- Chowmein noodles were pretty bland but became ok after adding some soy sauce and chilli paste.- Ragna noodles were good and Id recommend. I couldnt even eat it because it looked disgusting. This little, out of the way Thai place on La Brea is a hidden gem. It is small with less than 20 tables. The food is wonderful & they specialize in curry dishes. They have curries that I have never seen on any other Thai menu. (IE: Lamb curry, which is outstanding). This food is why you would visit. Not for ambiance or service.When the restaurant is full, as it was on the night I was there, my dining partners & I had to basically scream across the table at each other. There is almost nothing to absorb sound & in such a small area, it becomes a roar.The service, when the place is busy, is spotty. We had ordered several bottles of wine for the table & they didnt have enough wine glasses. So people got water glasses, champagne flutes, even a jar.Street parking is unavailable by the location so you must park in the lot. Pink Pepper does validate.

I have been a long term customer of Pink Pepper and agree that they have good food. However, the service has been a challenge. Today, I arrived at 11:50am for lunch and the restaurant opens at 12:00pm. Myself and one other customer were waiting outside far past 12:00pm watching restaurant talk in the kitchen through the locked front door. At 12:25pm, we called the restaurant asking why the doors werent opened yet and we were told because they had to clean the kitchen. After already waiting for approximately 40 minutes we asked them if we could have validation for the parking since we couldnt wait an additional 30 minutes. We were told no because we didnt spend $35. There was no empathy for the fact that we waited so long with no signage on the door or word from the staff inside. The parking ended up being $15 - which could have been a meal.

It was very close to my lodging so decided to try it out..Tea was very good. Pretty neat how they bring it out to you. I went during lunch and tried the teriyaki chicken. The rice and sauce was good but the chicken had an overpowering charred taste. I am not one to waste food nor money so I ate most of it. Would have given 3.5 rating for the food but customer service was very nice.

Now that I have more time sitting at home with little to no travel, I figure this would be the time to compile the review.Ive been looking for green curry fried rice in the Hollywood Hills/L.A. area since relocating here from Orange County a few years ago. Ive been ordering green curry fried rice from Rocharin Thai in Seal Beach for many years. It is so good!! Its been very difficult to both, find a place nearby that has it and finding a place whose green curry fried rice tastes good.Ive been ordering from Pink Pepper for delivery for the last 1.5 years. Their green curry fried rice is so good! I always order that with chicken satay. Their food is excellent. I like to order the rice without the chicken and have them add extra rice. I use the chicken satay with the rice instead.I have not been in the restaurant, so no clue about their service. I usually from them via Postmates, Doordash, Caviar, etc. Either way, the food is always good!

DO NOT EAT HERE EVER! I bought for the first time last night from my hotel. The order was incorrect I called them immediately to let them know as I wanted what I ordered. The lady on the phone said the kitchen has closed. I requested my money back. She first made out like she didnt understand what I was saying until I asked to speak to the manager. She said she would speak to him and call me back. I received no call from them so I called them tonight to see what was going on and i was put onto 3 different ladies none of them helped me. They took my name and number which they already had! Absolutely disgusting customer service!!! I shouldnt have tipped them so generously! Ive been a loyal customer here for 10+ years and I love the food but recently they have forgot items in their delivery to me and wouldnt credit back my card, instead they promised to give me a credit for the items the next time i ordered. The first time this happened I just let it go but when it happened again I decided to use my credit. When I placed my order this evening I asked to get a credit for the $5.95 wontons that I didnt receive last time and they refused. Ive spent so much money here over the years and the fact that they were willing to loose a customer over 5 dollar wontons really got under my skin. SO, been going here for roughly 6-10 months and I also order from this place via Uber eats.1. The front desk guy he never gives his name has always had a issue with me. NOT sure why but. As 3 drivers wasted there time waiting to pick up the order …. If you want better, head to Thailand. Im sure Thai purists would dub this a fusion joint, If so, its Thai fused with everything good in this world. The traditional flavors and textures of the dishes served here are mind blowing. My best advice is to order generously from the appetizer menu and share an entree. Where do I even start with this place? Ive been a loyal customer since I was 4 years old...Im now 22! When my dad first moved to the U.S. to chase his Hollywood dream with my mom by his side and my brother and I following along, this was the place he would pick up food from and bring it home after his late acting classes. Weve come here at least a few hundred times. From birthday celebrations, business meetings, to the longings we have for the Royal Shrimp and Thai Iced tea, Pink Pepper has stood the test of time as my #1 choice for Thai Food. You cant beat it. The seasonings they use on their fried rice has to have crack in it. I mean seriously, its THAT good. The Seafood Udon is EXCELLENT and a personal favorite. If you like udon, and a coconut/panang cury taste, get this dish. They have great hot teas as well. Everything on their menu Im convinced is great. There are only a few things on the menu Id shy away from (like the salmon), simply because they are the less popular dishes, and there are lots of other great things you can get on this menu for an outstanding tase that they specialize in. Honestly, I think Ill really cry if this place ever closes down. I have countless memories of the restaurant before they implemented the modern look: when they had historic paintings on the walls from Thailand, the statues I used to stand up next to and imitate when I was a little girl, and the black floral dining table cloths that would brush up against my legs. The food is one phenomenal aspect, but the memories this place has provided makes it that much more special

From the outside this looks like every other little Thai restaurant in this part of town. But inside, it is quite different. A very spare, modern, bright and clean décor.And while the menu has a lot of the usual suspects,the execution is a cut above.There is a notable freshness to the ingredients, and the presentation is often like something from a more modern high end restaurant. I use to think this was the best Thai restaurant but my last visit changed my mind. Prices seem higher and food is so so. I ordered an Arnold Palmer which is 1/2 lemonade 1/2 ice tea. I Asked for a refill and was i told I would be charged full price $3.50 even thought they have free ice tea refills. So I asked if I could just have an ice tea refill. Waitress instead brought me another AP. I told her I didnt ask for another AP only some ice tea since i already had an AP which is 1/2 ice tea. She left the AP and argued with me when I said i didnt want it and and i wouldnt pay for it. I didnt touch it and she billed me for it and lost a long time customer. How sad they have become so cheap and dont care about customers any more.

With better management,. alert staff and warmer food the restaurant could be 4 star. The salmon was flavorful but the vegetables with it were served at room temperature with no flavor & almost raw. Staff very inept and passive -shows minimal interest/understanding of the customer experience - understands very litle english.... we attempted to communicate about the cold vegetables but gave up .. yet the restaurant was not at all busy - only one other couple in the restaurant so very hard to understand how the food could be cold and how it could take so long to get served... even when asking if the food could be made medium spicy got a flat NO - you do it yourself ...there also appeared to be a language barrier between the kitchen staff and the servers. the other couple got the wrong dish which resulted in a near comical disjointed discourse between the server and the cook. not convinced the problem was ever really resolved. There was no manager to be found. The dining experience is similar to a (not so) fast food/take out place (without benefit of even a teenage manager) but with a rather nice upgraded interior Oh... if you need to have your parking garage ticket validated make sure you get both tickets back from the server as youll need both to get out of the garage. They gave us only one back which turned into a big hassle with the garage attendant who also spoke very little English. On the positive side the Tom Kha Gai was delicious but of course just barely warmed above room temperature..... Overall the servers were plessant but not a fun experience that Id like to repeat - very stressful and frustrating I guess they depend on high volume non-repeat tourist trade

Lets start with we were told after being screwed over NO MANAGER ON DUTY?!! If you have business and youre ordering for your staff BEWARE! These people do not care if they screw up your order or entire meal. They shorted us on our order, while half the food got cold they insisted we wait for the rest of order and pay more, then refused to give a refund on the food we were not going to eat. We asked to speak to a manager and they told us one was not on duty! First a waitress who spoke little English advised us that she was the only person to tal too then rudely hung up stating she had a table she needed to get too. Next call landed us with the person who claimed to be the delivery driver. He also could barely communicate. Back to the horrid experience... The food was already cold let alone wait for more to make it a full meal and when we asked to get it refunded they refused! THEY RIPPED US OFF! My whole staffed starved while I re-ordered from another (and better) Thai restaurant and paid once again for a new meal... but at least they got a hot plate from somewhere else!
