I love Thai food and I am so excited Ramona has a great option! It is a little warm in there so I sat outside. I had the Pad See Ew which was excellent and the service was phenomenal and friendly.

I had the yellow curry with fried white fish and it was delicious! Sorry I can’t remember what kind of fish but it was perfectly cooked. Delicate, crispy outside and moist on the inside. I ordered vegetable Yellow curry and added the fish. I highly recommend their deserts as well. I loved the Purple Taro gelato which is handmade locally. I went back later in the week because it was so good!

The Tom Kha soup (we had veggies + tofu) was super delicious! Even though it is listed as a specialty, I didnt really like the Pad Ped Ta Lay (it was ok), especially after having had the Tom Kha. Service was friendly too :). Would come back!

This place is a hidden gem! The best Thai meal and experience since my trip to Thailand. The entire family/staff are warm and welcoming. The decor and environment is wonderful. The food is outstanding!!!! Will make the drive from San Diego to Ramona just to eat here again!!

I went here with a friend based on their choice. I have never been before. I had an appetizer based on their recommendation, which was some sort of shrimp wrap with peanut sauce, and I would agree that it was okay. It was a cold appetizer and decent, but it wasnt a WOW experience.As far as the service goes I will start out by saying that I realize this may be a culture thing, but when I go to a restaurant i go with the intention to enjoy my food as well as the person I am with and I didnt appreciate the server reaching in front of my food while eating to remove dishes off the table from my friends almost finished meal, without asking first if they were done or if they could take anything away. It left me feeling as if my patronage wasnt appreciated, and I was being rushed out the door.We definitely didnt stay for dessert if they even offered any there.The atmosphere was okay. But it was the person I was with that made it better, not the establishment.Overall, I would say that this might be more of a take out vs. a come and dine with us experience. Its definitely not a place to go to sit, be social, and dine. But if you are in a rush to get out, eat something real fast, and then be on your way, well then, this may very well be the place for you.

Absolutely loved the food, service and decor. Ordered green curry, spicy thai noodles and some dimsums. The place is comparatively cheap too. The sweetness and spiciness in the Green Curry was just perfect!! Would love to visit this place again to try more stuff.

Skip everything else in Ramona and come here!I was not expecting to find Thai food in Ramona to be this good! All I can say is that they know how to make some good quality food here with good service as well.We got some pad see ewe and pad thai along with fried calamari and it was all delicious!

I’m giving two stars because their tea was really good but I couldn’t even eat the yellow curry because of the amount of grease on it. I have never had curry that had so much grease the flavor wasn’t even good with the grease and I am from the south and I usually love Grease. Go into town for a good thia food

Updated 11/5/20: We have eaten here in the past when we are in Ramona. This is the first time since the pandemic that we ate here and so glad that they had outdoor dining. They were very busy for lunch on a Friday. Their dishes are fresh, tasty, and delicious. Though our server was busy, he was friendly and excellent.Old 11 months ago: We have been going here in the past 2 years after we spend a day in Julian or after hiking Iron Mountain. The food is excellent and the service is friendly & fast. This is a gem!

I really used to love this place but since I found a long hair on my rice I started to have a second thought about going back. I was trying to call first but theyre not able to pick up the phone. My family and I have been going here for years, the food is actually really good, but as of today I’m not sure I’ll be coming back. I ordered the lunch special pad thai noodles with tofu as I’m a vegetarian. I got it with tofu and little pieces of chicken in the noodles and I called the place to confirm with them that there was no chicken or any sort of meat in it and they reassured me there wasn’t. I’ll link the picture of some of the chicken I picked out of my noodles.

Probably the best food weve had in Ramona. Authentic and flavorful. Panang curry is delicious, but too spicy for me. Was told that I can get it less spicy next time if I asked them to.Kids enjoyed their shrimp fried rice and crab wonton which was crispy and fresh. When I called to ask if the curry was vegan friendly they said no. All they had was stir fry for vegans. They also said they add fish sauce to their curries, so if you have a fish allergy as well you shouldnt order their curries.

Updating this review. 3rd time eating here. This time the shrimp spring rolls had lots of lettuce but only 2 shrimp. Last time there was 4. Also, ordered the orange chicken dish. The flavors were good but once again the chicken was way overcooked. Chewy. Sent the dish back and asked for another plate not overcooked but the cook said this is how I cook it. NOTE TO COOK/OWNER: I would rather pay more for good food than pay they same price for food you have skimped on. Also, the only thing worse than undercooked chicken is overcooked chicken. We wont be back.Went there 2x. The shrimp spring rolls (the ones with the sticky rice wrap) are quite good. However the main meals were just average. I had duck with yellow curry. Over cooked a bit both times. Service was very good.

Came in for a family meal, was not disappointed! I always enjoy a new cuisine even if its not my favorite, this place had a bit of everything. I ended up getting Beef Chow Mein and my wife got the Pad Thai. They like most have a number system for spice... Yes you can get a level 0 for NO SPICE. Coffee was good as well as the crab/cheese wontons. Would come in again, staff was friendly and helpful, good price point.

Pinto Thai offers excellent Thai food at a reasonable price.Having dined there on multiple occasions, I personally enjoy their Panang, pineapple and yellow curries with chicken. For entrees, I havent branched out much more than that.I cant say for sure, but I think their samosas from the appetizers menu might be frozen and/or made off-site. They taste fine, but I cant identify anything truly unique about them.The service is wonderful; the staff is friendly and attentive. Since COVID and the associated lock downs, your dining experience will differ from what used to be, but they have limited patio seating, but if you choose to eat there, be prepared to deal with traffic noise as Main St. is just a few yards away from your table.Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant. Ive eaten at roughly a dozen different Thai restaurants in the county and this one ranks in the top four easily.

I was amazed at how good everything was! It is a somewhat small dining area, yet quaint and despite arriving with a lunch rush going, we were seated quickly. The staff was superb, and the food matched! I can honestly say that they have the best Thai food I have had in San Diego to date, and I have tried many Thai restaurants throughout the county. Come here. The people there are great and the food is phenomenal. Not much more to ask for. I highly recommend their Thai Iced Tea and Massaman Thai Curry with Chicken. The curry is on the sweeter side but definitely has a little spice going on in the background. I loved it.Visiting from New York, this spot was super inviting and tasted great. Love this place. We have eaten at many Thai restaurants and this is one of the best. Love the lunch specials that include a soup, egg roll, fried won-ton, and cucumber slices to cool the taste buds. You will use these as the spice level is a touch higher here than most places. If you are used to ordering at a 7-8 go with a 4-5 the first time. Amazing quality!

We came to this restaurant after a long day of apple picking in Julian. Luckily we managed to have arrived at the right time as there werent may people in the restaurant. We ordered the following:Chicken skewers - This dish was awesome! The chicken was not dry at all and tasted so good with the peanut sauce.Shrimp wrapped in fried noodle - This was a great treat and the kids seems to enjoy them. It goes great with the sweat and source sauce that comes with it.Yum woon sen - One of my favorite dishes and they did a terrific job preparing it.Eggplant with pork - The eggplant was soft and caramelize to perfection. Loved it!Crab friend rice - It wasnt fake crab so it was really good.We were so surprised how delicious the food was and friendly the service. This is certainly a gem in Ramona.

Amazing food and great serviceEdit: unfortunately the rumors I heard were true about this restaurants unsanitary nature. I initially gave the place a perfect review as it was my favorite restaurant, but in my most recent visit the servers gave me obviously rotten food, and when I pointed it out, I was met with denial. Id sent on of my dishes back which I thought was the only rotten one, but it seems all of their stock was contaminated, either by fecal matter or something else, because not only did I, but my girlfriend as well got a bug from the food

Honestly, I was a huge fan of lemon grass before they shut down and so the only reason I went to pinto thai is because there was no other option. Ive been there twice, and got pad Thai both times. Im thinking they have two chefs because the first time my food was pretty good, but the second time is was terrible. It just didnt taste like pad Thai to me. The sauce was super weird. But the service was good, and I would probably eat there again just because Im not willing to drive all the way to San Diego every time I want pad Thai.

Got the dinner. They refused to make any corrections and demanded I pay the additional $8 for the dinner when I didn’t want it. Paid and will never come back. Lets just move passed the food. You could through a dart at their menu and youll love whatever you get off you like Thai. More than just the food the place is clean menu is easy to figure out, service is second to none. The staff there is amazing and will go the extra mile if you need help ordering, wild like your food done a specific way, or if you just want to know about the local fair. A special thanks to Golf. She made my daughters and my experience unforgettable with her warmth and generosity. We dont get to eat her often but I wont ever pass up a chance when I get it. Very good Thai food. They offer most dishes with a choice of vegetarian and vegan protein. They didnt have a complete grasp of vegan, so be sure to explain any ingredients you wish to avoid, but they are happy to accommodate. Weve tried several dishes and desserts, everything has been good.

Best Thai in SAN DIEGO. Not just Ramona. Have been coming to this restaurant for years, even when it was called Thai Time. If you are a vegan and you want a go to restaurant in Ramona- go HERE. They have tofu, mock duck, and mock chicken. Atmosphere, staff, presentation, portion, and taste are all off the charts and the prices are well worth it. My favorite dish is the Pinapple Curry with mock duck and ginger hot tea, made with real ginger. And if you somehow have room for dessert order the mango sticky rice. This restaurant really appreciates its repeat customers. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

As a Thai person I have to say this is one of the best and authentic Thai restaurants in the San Diego area. I ordered shrimp spring rolls which were huge with delicious sauce, and I really enjoyed the pad ka praw chicken and tom ka chicken (coconut cream soup)... they were both excellent! We went here with a party of 8 for a Birthday celebration. I was sceptical given it is located in a strip mall, but this ended up being some of the best Thai food we have ever had, and we love Thai food.The service was so welcoming, informative and friendly we couldnt have been happier. We highly recommend this restaurant for quality food and really reasonable prices, with excellent service:)

I really feel 1 star is too generous for this place. I cant believe how this rest. can stay in its business with such disgusting food they serve with such a fake terrible service. All dishes I ordered tasted horribly stale. No wonder theres no one dining in at the time, and I shouldve realized that as a first sign. The only take we had was that the places interior looks well decorated, but Im not going to pay the high price they set to lure ppl in with the bad food that taste nothing better than if youre to cook for yourself at home!! So with that being said, whats the point of eating out!? Save your hard earn money for something else that deserves it!! Avoid being riped off from this Pinto Thai!!!

Delicious, fresh, and healthy food! Service was somewhat slow and disorganized. Had to ask for silverware and napkins. Should serve the spring rolls first. Two large parties were there but it shouldnt distract from serving other guests. Perhaps more servers are needed.

Been here a couple times and it is quickly becoming our go-to take out. Delicous and consistent with its quality. Their pad thai is a great option we always get it. Perfectly balanced with the peanut, lime and spice. Also, just tried their Penang curry and it was so good I had to lie down after from eating to much lol Highly reccomend! (For my taste level 3 or 4 is perfect for heat if you like it spicy id give the higher heat a try)

Happy we stopped by here. I had the beef spicy basil, it was delicious...and my grandfather had the asparagus shrimp, he too said it was delicious. Pinto is very cute inside and is very clean & tidy. We will be coming back.*update* since posting this 3 years ago... i have yet to find a Thai restaurant I like. Pinto Thai is the absolute greatest Thai restaurant, I highly recommend. I miss being able to eat at Pinto.

It was our first time to eat at Pinto Thai Resto since we moved here last Feb. 2019. And I can say we had a great experience. Aside from the very friendly and attentive staff, 52he food is very delicious especially the Tom Kha Soup, its rich, thick and refreshingly flavorful coconut milk infused with lemongrass, lime, etc. A must-try! I also love their Thai Fried Rice and sticky rice with mango. This Thai resto is a jewel in Ramona, CA. Dont miss it!

I went in today to try their food usually I don’t try much of the local stuff from Ramona because they seem to let me down most times especially in Chinese food Vietnamese etc....Gave it a try from the reviews it had so I wanted to see what all the hype was and how people tell me to goLooked good appetizing and all that but from a closer look rice was oily mush and under cooked more heavy then and the rice stuck together wet the chicken was flavorless and the shrimp was too moist the sausage was just gross tasted as good as a Vienna sausage probably bly would have been better honestly...and instead of having a fried rice taste like tradition fried rice tasted more like curry and top ramen put together salty and sweet...like what the heck and on top of that about 20$ for that is not worth it....giving too star just because of the nice service but also took about 20 minutes too make my order.
