I recently visited Pints of Joy Ice-Cream Parlour, and it was an incredible experience! The variety and quality of their ice cream left me thoroughly impressed. I started with the Mango Mastani, which was a deliciously rich and creamy delight, capturing the true essence of mangoes. The Mango and Chocolate Ice Cream scoops were equally fantastic, with each flavor standing out in its own right—refreshingly fruity and decadently rich.The Pistachio Sandwich Ice Cream was another highlight, combining the crunchy, nutty goodness of pistachios with smooth, creamy ice cream between perfectly baked cookies. I also tried the Gulab Jamun and Paan flavors, which were unique and absolutely delightful. The Gulab Jamun flavor was wonderfully sweet and reminiscent of the classic Indian dessert, while the Paan flavor was refreshingly aromatic and a perfect palate cleanser.

After our lunch we decided to have dessert from here. We were looking up about this place and figured its a womens owned business and we wanted to support it. I was going crazy with the amount of flavours they have. Mostly the Indian tropical fruits and sweets flavours too. There are ice cream scoops single, double, split option and pint of ice creams to taste which is usually 4 icecream single scoops. We tried different flavour ice cream scoops such as mango, paan, gulab jamun, cookies and cream, gulkand/ coconut and tuti fruti ice cream. I also ordered a badaam pista mastani drink. Everything was so delicious and nostalgic too. The place was buzzing with people lined up inside out. They do sell pints of ice cream of all the flavours. They do cater for birthday parties etc. Its worth trying at least for once and rest you know the way to them.

What we liked -Finally found a icecream spot that serves eggless ice creams.! Love that they have so many flavors. Our favorites have been - Chikoo, Guava Chilli, Mango, Thandai, Pista Kulfi. The staff/service is wonderful. They were so helpful and willingly/patiently offered samples. I liked that they were eager to please. Also detailed description was provided.What we didn’t like -- found it way more expensive comparatively. I thought it was because of the unique flavors - but then we compared it to Ricks in Palo Alto ( they also serve Malai Kulfi) and Pints of Joy was way more expensive.- Gulab Jamun icecream - the gulab jamun itself tasted stale. It tasted like canned Gulab Jamun - such a bummer because the icecream itself was good.Overall, loved majority of the icecream flavors, service. Pricing could be better and Gulab Jamun icecream - the Jamun itself should be fresh not canned. Hence minus 2 stars but hoping since it’s a new spot, they’ll consider the feedback.

The Biscoff ice cream was amazing, loved the variety of flavors that are fixated unique to the shop and can’t get it anywhere else. Their blueberry lavender and mocha were pretty good too but had to try their recommended flavor from a friend. Will need to come back to try their other flavors.Service wise, they were excellent. The only suggest I have is using wooden, non-reusable spoons. Sanitation is kinda big to me and having to eat my samples off of metal reusable spoons that may not be cleaned off thoroughly kinda grosses me.

Super cool and unique ice cream shop! My favorite flavor is the blueberry lavendar, it is so flavorful and creamy, and not too sweet. Im usually a butter-pecan fan but this blueberry lavendar may be challenging it for my favorite ice cream flavor ong. They also sell flavors by the pint so you can take the joy home :)

This place really justifies its name. Ive tasted almost 8 of their flavors like Gulab Jamun, Chili Lime Guava, Salted Guava, Bourbon toffee, Meeta Paan, Gulkand Coconut, Chickoo and Jackfruit. All of these nailed its flavor. The best option would be to go for their flight that gives you an opportunity to taste many flavors at once.

Amazing and such unique ice cream flavors. Our favorite was Salted Guava. It tasted just like having the fruit and even more. We also tried coconut, meetha paan, pista, mango and lychee.Lychee was the only flavor that I didnt enjoy as much but may be that was just not for me.I would highly recommend this place.

Loved this Icecream parlour inspired by unique Indian flavours.They let you taste before you order. That was a new experience for me in the US.I loved the Gulkand flavour the most, followed by Meetha Paan and Guava.I tasted Gulab Jamun flavour, and it is surely worth a try.The platter option with 4 flavours of your choice is a nice concept. Ice-cream flavors are amazing. Service is also good. It stays crowded but the dont rush with the customers. Staff staying late to service customers in the queue even after the closing time. Their ice-cream plater is recommended, you can taste 4 different your choice of flavors at once. Will be going their again and again.

Best dairy and non dairy ice cream in the town so far. For Asians this place and flavors will remind lot of tropical fruit memories and taste.Apart from the ice cream the next best thing is the kid who is handling the point of sales. 10/10 I was craving something cold and sweet and googled the closest ice cream to me. I was not expecting the delight of creative flavor I encountered. Holy moly, best ice cream Ive ever had. I cant tell you the names, because Im not familiar enough with Indian words, but I had one scoop that was cardamom and cream and the other was an apple custard. Both flavors were dynamic and delicate. The ice cream was soft and textured from the ingredients.

I recently visited Pints of Joy and was blown away by the quality of their ice cream. The Alphonso mango ice cream was absolutely divine and tasted like a little piece of heaven in every bite. It was creamy, smooth, and had just the right amount of sweetness. The other flavors we tried were also excellent and had unique and interesting flavor combinations.Despite the long line, the staff was efficient and friendly, and the wait was definitely worth it. The shop has a fun and cheerful atmosphere, and the pricing is very reasonable for the quality of the product. One of the newest ice cream spots in Bay Area and one of the great ice cream spots. The queue here could be very long on weekends, I would say about half an hour. The two times we went there, we had to wait in the queue for about 30 minutes. The flavors are really good and fresh. On top they have Indian desert options which are really good. I tried their flight, which is a mix of 4 flavors. Must try. The prices are reasonable and parking could be a hassle at peak time. They do manage all their customers very well.

It was nice to try so many indian flavors. some of my favorites being gulab jamun and butterscotch and salted guava.In addition, we again tried falooda,meetha pan, blueberry lavender. I did feel that the blueberry lavender was a bit overwhelming or the flavors together didnt do justice to each other and if the team is willing, I would like to suggest vanilla lavender as a future flavor. I tried this combo in a lavender farm once and still remember how fresh it was. It was just perfect given that vanilla is a mellow flavor and you can truly get the essence of lavender in a combo like this. This place was such a delight. The man helping behind the counter was so excited to share the ice cream with me that he let me taste at least seven flavors! The flavors were unique, subtle, and creamy with a nice texture. Both mango flavors were great and tasted like perfect ripe mangoes of the tree. The blueberry lavender was calming and creamy and avoided tasty soapy like so many lavender ice creams do. It was very sweet so just a little will do. The fig and walnut was the first ice cream that I have ever tried that captured the delight of a fresh fig. The pistachio kulfi flavor is one I have been chasing for years after the Persian ice cream sandwich shop in San Jose closed. I really appreciated that they had four non dairy flavors to choose from, and that all their ice cream is eggless. While some of the non dairy flavors are more like sorbets, others are very creamy and do not have a coconut flavor or iciness the way some vegan ice creams do.It wasn’t as expensive as Salt and Straw or Humphrey Slocombe and I appreciated the option for a split scoop so I could have two flavors. While I was there a wide range of families stopped in, it was clear that the place is popular. I was tempted by the Coldstone down the block on my way, and am so glad I came here instead. Give it a try, you won’t be sorry. :)

Visited this place after dinner, tried malai kulfi, pistachio and Alfonso mango flavors. I like malai kulfi and pistachio, mango was like little bit off side for me as it tasted like some syrup or concentrate kind of taste. My favorite was pistachio kulfi. There is no much seating area as shop is very small and atmosphere is also not that appealing, but just pickup ice cream, go and enjoy. You will definitely love them as there are so many varieties of flavors. I recommend this place.

I can’t get over the Alphonso mango ice cream! It has such a deep mango flavor and is so thick and creamy. I feel like it also has a tiny bit of a chew, like gelato has.We asked the man working behind the counter how they add such a wonderful Alphonso mango flavor. They don’t use canned purée, they actually import their own shipments of Alphonso mango from India (also chikoo!).There was no line on a weeknight, but the place was hopping on Friday night. I think we waited about 20 min on Friday, but honestly… for the Alphonso mango… it’s worth it. :)Next I want to try the Jalebi sundae!

It wasnt immediately clear in the description but this is a fusion ice cream place with some Indian infusion. They also have non-dairy ice cream made with coconut milk. They are very liberal with tasting so you can try a lot of flavors. I tried the coconut which I usually like but it was a bit too sweet, but I had the non-dairy chocolate and it was *fantastic*. I love it so much that I bought a pint home. My wife had the lychee which she loved as well because it had a lot of chunks. What a find!!

However I wish they went to cleaner ingredients like organic, less to no additives & artificial flavours and fresher batches. Disappointed at Pint of Joy. The Butterscotch ice cream tasted far from what a butterscotch should be. The name is definitely misleading. If youre looking for classic butterscotch flavor, I would recommend trying somewhere else.

Absolutely delicious and fresh ice-creams primarily based on Indian/desi flavours. I so wish they served in cones as well. I believe they are eggless and preservative free. On a recent trip to San Jose I discovered this hidden gem - Pints of Joy ice cream in Sunnyvale .I tasted and loved a lot of their flavors especially Chikoo, Mango, Motichoor (Their Diwali special) along with Ras malai and wanted to carry some back to Dallas for my family . The owner worked with me diligently to get dry ice and a box big enough to fit all the pints I needed to carry. A lively ice cream place! I went on a Friday night and the line was out the door and into the parking lot. I thought, “There is no way this place is that good.” I was very swiftly proven wrong. I got the motichoor/laddoo, Alphonso mango, and lychee. They were all to die for. The lychee tasted so fresh and familiar that I started crying. Quality ice cream with new and interesting flavors, and vegan options (if youre into that). Its a little hole in the wall spot in what looks like an abandoned shopping center, but the quality is top notch; making this hole in a wall a hidden treasure. My family got some cups to go (its cups or pints only afaik) and my butterscotch was amazing, and the cookies and cream was also great. You dont need cones, cookies, toppings, silly songs, or any other gimmick when youve got a simple quality product. Try this spot today and incorporate it as one of your weekly stops for groceries; if you love ice cream.

Hole in the wall ice cream shop churning out some great quality ice cream! I got the Alphonso Mango and Blueberry Lavender flavors and both were smooth, creamy, and had a great balance of flavors. Really friendly owners too, hope to see them at their brick and mortar!

They have ample variety of flavours.We tried alfanso mango and pista kulfi. They somewhat taste like the named flavours.The servings only come with size of half and full pint, no option for scoops. The well-known flavours like custard apple only come in pint size and they dont even offer a spoon taste.The place is fine only for Indian ice-cream flavour cravings, but not the best ice cream in the town.

What a fantastic Indian sweet flavored ice cream place. Never thought of these flavors in an ice cream and it is the best ice cream place in bay area. NOT JOKING! Sweetness is just enough and doesnt make you not have one more pint of joy!Need to be advertised more as an Indian ice cream place! Also work hours on Google is outdated. Great fresh Indian flavors. All flavors I had so far are really good and refreshing. The non-fruit flavors like rasmalai and meetha paan are also great. The salted guava is particularly delicious! Im not a big fan of ice creams but the ones from Pints of Joy are really good and not cloyingly sweet. Will keep visiting this place!Update: On another visit, we had very bad experience with the service. The cashier was clueless and rude. Knocking off 2 stars for the service.

This is hands down the best ice cream I have had in Sunnyvale. I got chikoo-sapota and its so good! My favorite childhood ice cream was chico zapote (I grew up in Mexico) and it was a delightful surprise to find this similar flavor here. Its granulated, not too sweet but definitely tasteful! You can feel the top quality of the ingredients Pints of Joy use, and also the love. I have tried other of their flavors too and they are always delicious. They have vegan options too :)

Stumbled on this store and chanced to go in. Ordered sitaphal and mango. Icecream itself is soft and light. Fruit flavors made it extra silky smooth and delicious. Nothing like supermarket frozen stuff. Our family loved it. Definitely going back to taste other flavors. Hope they dont run out of these exquisite flavors.

To keep their ice creams egg free they add gum products to make their ice cream feel creamy. Unfortunately the texture is too gummy and messes up the entire experience- it’s a shame because the taste isn’t that bad.

4 stars, more like no stars. No flavour, bad after taste, way to sweet, and not at all creamy because its eggless. Taste like synthetic chemicals. Really bad ice cream. On top if it all it made a hole in my wallet at $6 a scoop without a cone. Please go buy a pint at your local grocery store instead, less expensive and tastes much better!
