Fish was fresh and sushi bowl was pretty delicious. However, had to wait over 45 mins to get my order. Definitely recommend calling ahead.

This place only seats 2-3 people so its clearly designed mostly for takeout, but I had the best bowl of ramen (spicy miso ramen) and the best sushi roll (spicy tuna roll crunchy) that Ive ever had in my life (including two trips to Japan). Youll probably have a long wait but its totally worth it.

Absolutely my favorite sushi place period. The sushi is amazing and freshly made (which is why you typically have to wait when you order). It is well worth the wait and the owners are very sweet!

Horrible service, she won’t even talk to me. Just keeps saying “ No no no “ then walking to the back. There’s sushi rolls just sitting on the counter behind the register and I’ve been here for more then 10 minutes. That’s absolutely awful. Over priced and understaffed. Never again. Wants me to wait 20-30 minutes when they should have been ready 25 minutes ago.

Sara and Kio are a local Japanese couple who run the best take out Sushi joint in the southbay. The quality and portion size are amazing. Thus is takeout only. The menu is limited. The portions are about double the typical size. Expect a wait of about an hour once you call it in.

I had diarrhea after sushi from that place. Stay away! After a couple of weeks my husband ordered sashimi. Salmon was watery and smelled bad the owner did not want to return the money. Never ever coming back.

Don’t let the Small atmosphere fool you, this restaurant has the absolute best sushi, and Rolls I have ever eaten. They serve it beautifully, but best of all, Sarah (the owner) is extremely friendly and will make sure you have the best dining experience. Make sure to go here!

We ordered for take out on a Friday night. We showed up after 45 minutes (as indicated by the owner) and we had to wait an additional 30 minutes.We got home, and were really disappointed to realize that most of our nigris and sashimis were still frozen. There are plenty of sushi options in Manhattan Beach. I normally try to encourage mom and pop shops, but our experience + quality was simply just not acceptable.

Very sweet woman behind the counter & great sushi. The roll isnt skimpy & I dont know if the term is technically accurate, but the fish texture was so tender & tastes fresh. They also serve it with the usual soy sauce, ginger, wasabi combo but also bottles of spicy mayo & sweet sauce that crunchy rolls usually come served with, so its nice to have/control the condiment selection & an easy way to add variety yourself. $13 for a rainbow roll.

Very small,just two tables and counter for four.we sat at the one table outside .this is more of a take out joint.everything is made in the back,no show here.Mostly rolls and sashimi filled the menu.the fish is very fresh and tasty. The food was better than most sushi places I go to.Sara the owner is very gracious, and patient.Go for great fish,not the frills.

If you are in South Bay/ Manhattan Beach / Los Angeles and love Sushi, sashimi, rice bowls or Ramen, then you MUST visit this small authentic Japanese establishment. Pros: fresh seafood, reasonable prices, friendly service. Cons: husband and wife team so make sure you order in advance for take-out, or come early or during off-peak period; very limited seating. I had tried crunchy Spicy tuna roll, spicy scallops roll, chirashi special mix bowl, spicy miso ramen. I’m very discerning where food is concerned, and I give them 10/10 !

What a gem in Manhattan Beach. Delicious sushi-so fresh it almost bit me back. Even the tea was top notch. I highly recommend this establishment for any lover of authentic Japanese cuisine served generously and with great hospitality. My husband and I will be returning soon. Thank you Pisces.

Cute sushi place in Mahnatann Beach. They have a few bar spots inside but they mostly do take-out. The salmon lovers roll, eel lovers roll, and crunchy spicy tuna roll were delicious. Very fresh fish.

They let you wait a bit but its worthwhile the wait. Great, convenient location for pick up Sushi, but I always call ahead at least 20 minutes. They also have great Japanese chocolate.

This is definitely the best traditional sushi place Ive tried in Los Angeles, and close to the best one Ive tried in my life.The servings are HUGE in comparison to other places, and the fish is F-R-E-S-H.Go there and check it out!

I walked in with my husband and kids on Father’s Day and was immediately told as I grabbed to read a menu Not even a chance to read it and the lady behind the counter telling me my food is going to take 2 hours to make maybe longer in other words go away. How do you know what I’m going to order? And sushi shouldn’t take 2 hours anyways. Bad service especially since you didn’t even have not one customer in the establishment. Unprofessional and just plain rude!

We recently visited Kyoto and Tokyo and found Pisces to be an authentic Japanese shop with generous portions of fresh, atractive sushi, sashimi, and Chirashi (similar to Poke bowls). Priced right, too.
