Unprofessional quality reflects the staffs impressions. Pizza is nothing like the photos on the website. Bait and switch. Go to the real pizza my heart on 41st pizza is much better

Pizza My Heart bought Pizza 1, kept the name but got rid of their pizza. Pizza 1 was far superior to Pizza My Heart pizza. If you want to get a slice of pizza, this is now the best way to go in the county. Otherwise there are two other pizza restaurants in the county with better pizza, but they dont sell by the slice.Three stars overall, partly for being deceitful by not changing the name. Otherwise, it would be 4 stars.

Was looking forward to this sourdough crust but it was just meh. Nothing I couldnt do at home. Ok sauce and cheese and toppings. Workers were cool and the place was clean. Huge bathroom. Typical $5 local slice experience.

Well...the pizza is great...although Ive never dined in...so...the only service I have experienced is at the order area.Weve been there three times now...they have a pizza with apple on it that was delicious.Weve had The Big Sur twice...and if you like garlic the way we do...this pizza is perfect...although a bit pricey. Being so close to the seacliff campground I can see why.The photo is a picture I love in their lobby.

Came here for a slice. We got lucky with parking. There are pick up spots in front. I heard good things about the corralitos market. It came out quick and had a very sweet smell from the apples. I was worried but I thought the combination of flavors was more complex and the sweetness was not overbearing.

Were the only ones sitting in the restaurant, yet weve been waiting 50 minutes for 1 large pizza. The tables are dirty, floor is dirty, bathroom is filthy, nothing is stocked. Really bad experience.

Decent pizza, but the quality needs to be a lot better for the price. (When there are multiple pmh within 10min you need a better product to compete).High employee turnover is a good signal of poor managementStore cleanliness also needs work. Heard employees chatting about how a manager never cleans, the next day a customer came in and commented that it was like being in a million dollar bathroom (because the whole place stank).

Excellent thin crust pizza! A welcome addition to the neighborhood. I had a slice of pepperoni and a slice of combination. Both slices were excellent, and the crust was particularly good. The location is a little simple and cluttered but it didnt impact the quality of the food.

We stopped in because Manuels Mexican had a waiting list, and my daughter was hungry. Ordered 3 slices and a drink, ~$17. The toppings were interesting on 2 of the slices, but my daughter thought her cheese slice was just Okay. My thoughts exactly. I am no longer hungry, but far from satisfied. My main issue was the crust. It was overworked and very hard. They should rethink their crust recipe. Just disappointing. I had a ranch base with garlic, and another with bacon, sausage, apples and onions. The toppings were good, and I ate those. That helped bring up the overall score to 3/5.

Tasty pizza! And friendly humans! Clean space and quick in and out. 👍We grabbed a large for a family of 4 and walked down to the beach/pier to eat. Theres lots of picnic tables (some in sun and some in shade) and a cool ship wreck (not really wrecked, just eaten by the sea) with birds and seals.

This place makes truly fantastic pizza - crisp and light crust crust that is deliciously chewy on the inside. Toppings are super fresh and generous. We love pizza and eat a lot from our local specialty pizza shops (never from chain stores) and this is by far one of the best we’ve ever had. Absolutely worth a long detour if you’re in the area.

Pizza 1 has one of my favorite pizzas ever. Its been ten years since Ive had it, but I think of it every time I have pizza elsewhere. I highly, highly recommend the Corralitos Market pizza if you have an adventurous palate. Garlic-infused olive oil, Corralitos Market cheesy Bavarian sausage, slow-cooked apples, real bacon & gorgonzola cheese all taste amazingly delicious together and are perfectly balanced. Im so glad to see this pizza is still on the menu. Pizza 1 is on my list of stops for my next trip to Santa Cruz.

For my money, by the pie or the slice, best pizza in Santa Cruz County! Clever pizza combinations, generous toppings, super dough--all for the price of a ho-hum chain pizza. Personal favorites are the Corralitos Market (sausage, apples, bacon & gorgonzola) & Mediterranean (goat cheese, red bell peppers, artichoke hearts, red onion & olives), though my now-converted BFF & her hubby swear by Hectors All Meat (6 meats!). Some obligatory salads (or so Im told). Odd & slim beverage selection, but beer & wine are available. The small dining room is cramped, cluttered & noisy with multiple screens all on. (For what its worth, the restroom opening directly off the dining room is clean & maintained.) But its about the pizza, so order ahead & eat at the beach, in a park or watching the games at home! After a couple dozen take-out calls, Pizza 1 has given me precisely what I ordered every time! And if they say your order will be ready in 20 minutes, they mean 20 minutes. If youre looking for a romantic pizza joint, dainty Michelin-star designer pizza or a raucous sports bar, keep looking. But if youre looking for a serious, hearty, delish pizza or even just a quick slice, youre looking for Pizza 1.

I ordered a #1 combo with pepperoni, red onions, green peppers, mushrooms, Italian sausage and fresh tomatoes but when I brought the pizza back to my motel room, the restaurant had given me the #2 vegetarian combo with red onions, green peppers, zucchini, mushrooms, black olives, herbs and fresh tomatoes. A little annoying but I like veggie pizzas and didn’t want to drive back for the correct pizza so ate what I got. It was unfortunately a bit bland with a too-thick crust. Maybe a little salt on the veggies or roasting them or a sprinkle of Parmesan would have helped. But the vegetables were fresh.

My mom and I went here for the first time on halloween night, super hungry. We were just Happy that they were still open, we barely made it 5 min till they closed! Very good pizza with a staff with a good attitude. We sat by the window while it was raining and watched the traffic and the people go by and talked, it is a quaint little place. The pizza was sure just as we ordered it, my partner ordered one kind light on sauce and I ordered another kind heavy on sauce and that is exactly how we got it.

I have had pizza all over San Francisco and New York. This ranks up there with the best of the best. Slices are plentiful and a great variety of vegetarian - which I like. You can get a glass of wine or beer as well. Its very casual - beachy. You can get in a out quickly or just hang out for awhile. Its consistently very good. Highly suggested and for the price a slice, how can you go wrong?

My favorite pizza place in Santa Cruz area. They use a San Francisco sourdough crust for their pizza that’s amazing and all local and organic produce/meat on their pies as well. Give the Corralito’s Market or Chicken Garlic a try. You won’t be sorry. They have all the traditional flavors like combination, pepperoni, and vegetarian, but what’s really neat about this place is their unique flavors like the Corralito’s which has cheesy Bavarian sausage, apples, bacon & gorgonzola cheese on it. Stuff I’d never think to put on a pizza but after eating it you’d wish you had.

Really good pizzas that taste fresh and nothing like any other pizza chains, was walking distance to the beach while you wait for your pizza which was ready in 30 minutes, my only complaints is that it seemed like a small dining area but was reasonable considering the area, but the beverage prices were way overpriced so I would reccomend getting those elsewhere .
