Came here with some friends to get some food and I ordered the $6.50 pizza during happy hour. A margarita pizza and added sausage. It was pretty good and decent pizza but nothing special. The service was good though, the bartenders were very sweet, patient and kind to everyone. The restaurant was starting to get full with families and people at the bar. I wish I could have tried more on the menu! Definitely will be back.

Absolutely delicious food!! Lots to choose from!! Good beer and IPA beer choices.I had the garlic rolls and roasted garlic for appetizer and Portobello, Pancetta & Truffle Oil pizzaPortobello mushrooms and black truffle oil with crispy pancetta (Italian bacon), caramelized onions, and parmesanMy server (Vanessa) was very professional, friendly, personable, and checked back to see how everything was.

We ordered food to go.(delivery)Absolutely terrible.It took almost an hour to prepare. I could see our driver just sitting there ant the restaurants for almost 30 minutes. She messaged me and said she was waiting for the lasagna. We finally got our order. What terrible food. The bottom 1/4” of the lasagna was burnt black beyond burnt. The pizza was ice cold. The pasta was cold & taste so bad we threw it away. What a waste of $144.00 order.Overpriced is one thing, but for disgusting food?!? We won’t make that mistake again.

Waitress was what made this a great review and i am bummed i do not remember her name :-( she was amazing smiled super helpful!! It is refreshing we both just had soup and it was probably the best minestrone you can get. We shared artichoke heart dip which was perfect. Highly recommend.

Always enjoy dining at this Pizza Nova. Food is consistently on point. Enjoyed the updated version of their signature Baked Garlic appetizer. Also tried the new Carne Asada Pizza which was excellent with ribeye steak, Monterey jack, and poblanos. Happy hour all day Sunday and Monday which was a pleasant surprise! Half price apps!!

I seen the sign off the freeway. I decided to place an order for pick up. I just got a small pizza, one topping pepperoni and let me say it was very delicious. I will definitely come back to try more things on their menu.

I love this place. I am not a huge fan of red sauce and this is my favorite white pizza place. Im just pleased at the white pizza options that dont include tomato or arugula on top. My last visit the radio was an acceptable volume with excellent 90s alt rock unlike my previous visit where it was incredibly loud with awful pop country. So this visit was much more pleasant for me. Crazy Beer selection is mostly IPAs, but unique options.

Tried it with my company for the first time for lunch then immediately had to get it for the family. It is so good! Definitely recommend to all! My daughter had the Chicken Alfredo it was also delicious! They give you fresh bread rolls on the side (omg!)

The barbecue chicken pizza was delish!The fish and chips were ok. The fish batter was light, but a bit greasy.The slaw was good.My Martini was perfect, and held a lot of punch! The redeeming quality was the bread and server. Otherwise the food was bad to meh. Two of us got two different specialty salads. The chipotle chicken was gross. Ate the chicken and left most of the salad which was browning and just odd pairing of ingredients. The Asian salad wasn’t much better. Fettuccine Alfredo was okay - a good size portion - but average at best. This place is way too expensive for the quality and taste of the food. The pizzas looked good but that wasn’t why we came. I wouldn’t even go back for pizza if in town though.Skip it and try some place else.

I give it 3.5. Nice staff and inside is modern and nice. It’s a little loud inside but manageable. I ordered a Caesar salad and do not recommend it. It was very disappointing. The lettuce and croutons were crispy but the dressing is not good at all and my wife didn’t care for it either. Also order spaghetti and meatballs. I wasn’t crazy about the sauce but the noodles and meatballs were great. Loved the calamari. My son got the fish and chips. I was solid but not great. 10” pizza is fine two share with two people as long as you get a salad and fill up on the yummy bread. All in all I would eat there again, but I would not seek out pizza nova it was neither great nor bad, right in the middle.

Extremely overpriced and gradually reducing their serving sizes. We used to eat here often but this place keeps increasing their pricing and removing popular items from the menu. Our last vist, my wife ordered the $23 salmon that was the size of a stick of butter on a pad of risotto (see photo) and I had the $22 lamb shank with enough meat to make a steet taco! I also punished myself by substituting the risotto with veggies and was charged an additional $4.50! Our two children had ofcourse mac&cheese and chicken strips that were flat,dry and crunchy. I will post the recipe of the other expensive items like appetizers for $12 .This place is heading for closure.

Really good. I order Chicken Piccata anytime I see it on the menu, and it was super tender. The vegetables were crisp tender. The sauce was perfectly tangy, and that beautiful saltiness from the capers. Garlic knots are amazing. Im obsessed.

We originally planned to go to Spaghetti Factory but the wait was too long, so we walked to the other side of the parking lot and wandered into Pizza Nova. We were pleasantly surprised. The food was very tasty and pretty good sized portions. With tax and tip, it averaged about $20 per person which includes a kids meal. Seems to be about the going rate these days. We had three pizzas - white pepperoni, pear gorgonzola, and white spinach ricotta. All three were very good, although the white spinach ricotta didnt seem to have any sauce so was a little dry. However, the crust was delicious. Soft and a touch of sweetness. We also had the chicken fettuccini alfredo which was pretty good as well. Overall, a solid dinner - nothing amazing but just good food.

This place saved my life. Okay maybe an exaggeration but the only place that was open until 9 so after I got off work we went there and the pizza. was great! Some restaurants have had service suffer during the pandemic - that is not the case for Pizza Nova. They have fantastic service, delicious food, reasonable pricing, and a comfortable environment. I went today with my mother in law and two year old son for lunch and our host and waitress were so accommodating and kind. Our waitress made sure my son was comfortable with a booster seat, got him crayons and something to color, double checked the lid on his drink was on tight so he wouldn’t spill, and gave us extra bread rolls for the road because he liked them so much - and this was all without us asking for any of it. Just so hospitable. I love going there and will continue to recommend to people. Thank you for an enjoyable, stress-free lunch!

Visited on a Thursday at 1:30 and were seated without a wait. Service was fast and friendly. Server brought out delicious bread while we looked over the menu. The offering includes a variety of pastas, salads, and pizzas. Although we both ordered iced tea, the back of the menu had many tempting drinks to choose from. Pizza was very good.

Went with my Granddaughters so was happy they had an outdoor patio. It was nice and spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Ordered Mac and cheese for the littles and they brought it out immediately, it looked delicious, the girls gobbled it down so i didnt get a chance to try it. The bread they bring to the table is YUMMY!!!! We ordered the “Best” salad to split and a mini pizza for each of us. The salad was the best!! A nice light dressing that let the greens, cheese, walnuts and cranberries stand out. The pizzas were delicious!! Will definitely be back!!

Great atmosphere for both friends and families, its a bit more on the adult side because of the dark wood decor and sports bar vibe but they have plenty of kids menu options and big seating! I went with family, several kids, and a baby, and we had a good time.Food is spectacular I absolutely love everything Ive tried so far!!! I even took my salad home and ate it a day later. Portions are good and prices are decent. Its not a cheap bite to eat but wow the food is so good I honestly dont mind. I cant wait to try more from their menu. Staff is also very friendly and nice. Horrible service. The greeter were nice however the waitress took forever to even greet us. The table was dirty and we had to ask to have it cleaned. Then my son opened his silverware to a giant piece of lettuce stuck to it. 🤢She said she would be right back and never came back. She was on the patio socializing with a group. Then she comes back looks straight at us then leaves again. This was our breaking point and we got up to leave.

I would go again, sorry no photos. I wasnt planning on reviewing. I ordered the works pizza medium (enough for 2), fettuccini Alfredo with chicken (also enough for 2). Im a big guy so I ate all the chicken Alfredo and 2 slices of pizza. Sadly the best item was their garlic bread balls? They arent sticks but not quite balls either. Anyways. Garlic bread is on point and you can ask for more. The 1st slice was delicious, the 2nd was okay. Idk something about the temperature dropping made it less good however the veggies on it was very tasty, the meat was typical flavor no spice surprise on the meat. The chicken on the Alfredo was delicious not too dry and not too moist. The Alfredo sauce was creamy and flavorful. The fettuccini which is my favorite pasta was okay. It didnt stand out which normally it does for me. I also ordered a something Mai Tai which the first 2 sips was delicious and then the rest was terribly strong which Im assuming I forgot to mix it enough. The glass of water at the end was surprisingly tasteful and delicious. The staff was super nice and quick to react. We were a party of 5. The other people order a shrimp wrap, some type of soup, beer and some other mix drinks. They all said it was very tasty but I cant chime in on what they ordered but visually.. Im definitely ordering a chicken wrap next time with fries because its BIG. Anyways, i hope you do try them out. We arrived at 7 pm and we were seated within 5 minutes. We were served drinks within 5 minutes and our order was taken within 7 minutes so overall really fast for a restaurant. Our server was really nice, i didnt catch her name even she told us 2 or 3 times.

Quality food and a fun atmosphere. Great place to hang out with friends and family while enjoying well prepared dishes. The pastas are very good and the pizzas are some of my favorite! We tried the goat cheese gourmet pizza (delicious), regular cheese pizza (excellent), fettuccine alfredo (very good), macaroni and cheese (if you like gourmet man n cheese, youll like this... Call me simple, but I like Kraft better).. Oh and I almost forgot, they make THE BEST garlic bread rolls!So yep, I have them 5 stars because the staff is friendly, intelligent, and efficient. Their food is all around very good, and pizza is excellent, and they are staying busy through the pandemic, that says alot in it of itself. Food is decent but the staff looks like they hate being there and they allow small children to run around barefoot screaming in and out of the outdoor dining area. Not just the restaurants fault, obviously horrible parents, but this place isnt someones backyard. Both very rude to every other guest and business around. Owners/Managers need to stop it. First time going there due to a recommendation from a friend but I dont think Ill go back after that.

Love their artichoke dip. Im rarely in the area, but when I am, I have to pick some up! The staff at the San Marcos location is very friendly and the vibe is casual and comfortable! Right now theres no dine in because of quarantine conditions but still great food. Support our local restaurants so that theyre still there when we come out of this!

Husband and I never go out to dinner. We finally chose here for the first time. It was ok, until families outside dining let their kids run around outside the gate, screaming and climbing on everything, slamming the outside gate over and over, walking around inside the dining area with no shoes on. Seems like it is the norm there for this, which is very rude to patrons and other businesses around, I doubt statues are for climbing on. So, not only this, the staff all look like they hate their jobs, our waiter Drew was good though. On top of all this, I woke with food poisoning this morning spending the day off of work sick as hell. I would never recommend this place to anyone nor come back.

I didnt eat at the restaurant. Just picked up food to take home. I was mildly disappointed in the pizza, which I remember being better, somehow, when I last ate there ~5 years ago. I dont know, I think everything has lost its luster to some extent since COVID hit so perhaps Im just projecting this on to the pizza. Or...maybe, its just not quite as good as it used to be.That being said, Pizza Nova food is still better than most other Italian fusion restaurants in SD and I would unabashedly recommend it to my friends and family. I didnt know what to expect coming here because its a pizza joint in a strip mall near a college. I was fairly surprised to find a high class pizza joint. They have a nice setup indoor and out with very friendly service. In observation I noticed the crowd was mostly middle age professional types which makes sense because the pizza are so damn expensive. Great tasting za but not worth it on a regular basis. Just somewhere to take a date or client maybe and enjoy overpriced food. Thanks for the smiles though I always appreciate it when it seems like people are enjoying their jobs.

In my opinion the service is far superior to the flavor. Nik, my server was very knowledgeable in the dishes and the contents (i have several food allergies) and helped me to order something i thought was the most appealing. I was however, wrong. Nova is a 3.75 actually. They have good stuff and bad stuff. Only way to navigate this is though trying it yourself. I stick with them because they deliver with Grubhub. Stay away from their lasagna. Terrible. Love their fish and chips.

Always love Pizza Nova. This time was also good except the service fell short unfortunately. Our waiter, Harvey, started off strong and then it was like we became non existent. Had to ask for the check and then our change. Our waiter didnt even bring it to us. It was just so strange. Mgr said he thought he might be busy, but they were not busy. Well be back but just very disappointed with the service this time.

We had a really good waiter with a beard and nose ring, drank beer, and ate an off menu pizza with smoked salmon and capers that I heard was one of the best the person I gave the take home portion to had ever had. Portions certainly couldnt be called generous, and its not particularly cheap, but the food and service quality were as good as can be found anywhere.

We entered and went there for dine in after a long day of errands. They told us if dining inside was fine and we said yes. We then just sat down at the front for 20 minutes just waiting, they didnt even bother asking for our name. When we askes what was going on, they askes us what our name was and we clearly stated that they didnt take our name. They served other people first when we had been sitting for more than 20 minutes. Not one person walked up and asked anything. Poor service and it reflects immediately at the front. I would recommend retraining your entire staff on customer service because it is the worst thing for any business to make a customer wait only to tell a customer that you dont have a name even if they were there before other customers. Poor management and poor customer service makes the food taste disgusting. I would get better service at a McDonalds with a broken ice cream machine than Pizza Noza... thats incredibly sad.

Never knew it existed. Walked in to get lunch but was short a few bucks. I politely asked if there was a wells Fargo near so I could walk and get money but a waitress named stephanie came and said dont go and gave me what I was short to save me the walk. She was very kind. I had a stroke last weds and she didnt know me from Adam but was nice enough to see I was having trouble walking so for that kinda kindness needs to be shared .ty for making my first experience at pizza nova one I will never forget. Adriana also went above and beyond to make it a great experience as well highly recommend.

Horrible. The worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. I will never go back.We asked to sit outside, and they asked us to wait for 5 mins. 17 minutes later, upon asking for an update, the hostest said we are working on it, please be patient..50 minutes later, we left hungry and angry. No manager was called or present.. there was no apology when we left.The worst part of the experience was starting at a patio of 50+ empty chairs while we were waiting. ...and to top it all off, it was Fathers Day. I am so incredibly angry at this place for treating me and my family with such disrepect.
