We were in the area and stopped by for a late lunch at around 2:30pm. The place was empty and service was friendly and quick. The food was great, so I highly recommend it if you want to try homemade pizzas and pasta! The reason Im leaving four and not five stars is that they charged a surcharge to your check due to increase in costs and they dont reflect this on the menu but instead only tell you about it in your check which I dont think is the right approach. Its a 4% surcharge.

I went here for a late dinner last Friday night with my cousin and her friend. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and it was the best darn fettuccine Alfredo Ive ever had in my life! No kidding! The sauce was magical. The chicken was so tender and flavorful. I was literally transported to heaven with every bite. The service was excellent. We didnt even notice that everyone else had left and the staff were waiting for us to leave! So kind of them! It was truly a wonderful evening!

While the Thai Chicken pizza was slightly overcooked, it was still very good. Also really enjoyed the garlic rolls and the jazz music playing in the background. The music selection was perfect for a Sunday afternoon.

I haven’t tried all this place has to offer yet. The server was also the cashier, she initially asked if we were ready within 1-2 minutes of being seated. Because we weren’t ready that quick, she said she would be back in a few minutes, then she had to seat others, so we had to wait a bit to order, which isn’t too horrible, considering that maybe they are short staffed like most other places or the other employees don’t like to assist, either way, it was no fault of her own, she was definitely trying. Their prices seem inflated due to current market inflation, which we see everywhere, but yet this restaurant charges a 4% surcharge fee due to increase of costs, it’s not disclosed when placing the order, apparently it’s on the bottom of their menu, which nobody reads.

Impossible to communicate with staff over the phone. unable to do simple things like record phone number and take down card. completely incompetent. good luck trying to get a delivery from this place. when i realized there was an issue with the order they gave BS excuses like the card was declined and they tried to call me to let me know. neither case was remotely true. unbelievable

The food was excellent. Their Chinese Chicken Salad is a favorite of mine. A very large portion, can easily be shared. I also love their lasagna. Inside is nice looking & they serve garlic knot rolls with your order. Also, they have an outside area with heaters. They do have a Happy Hour as well.

I cannot really speak for other dishes on their menu but they should not make pizzas. Period. I ordered margherita and it was nothing but dried up crust. No cheese, no taste and five thinly sliced of tomato. Yes, I counted. The other order was gluten free Italian meats. Sorry to say that but there was nothing that could be called meats and it is simply offensive to call this piece of cardboard Italian. And to top it all off: there was supposed to be eight wings in the order but we only got seven. And yes, counted those too. What a sorry excuse for a pizza place.

First of all let me say the food is GREAT! Prices are on the hi end of the spectrum. Staff was friendly. There was 5 of us ordering and they seem to be a bit confused about what we ordered but got it together just one too many salads. Did have to ask for fresh garlic balls because the ones they sent were so hard you just could not chew them. Once the fresh ones came they were really good. I will definitely try again.

I used to go with my dad everytime I came to town. It was one of his favorite places togo. We love their pizza and salad lunch specials. They have awesome garlic know rolls too. Yummy. We went back recently in honor of Dad and it was equally as good.

The seating is closer than I or others prefer. Most times your conversation is either impossible to hear as other patrons will be much louder. The pizza is decent even though not NYC. However, the locally famous lasagna is as good as it proclaims. Reservations dont mean there isnt a wait time

Very disappointed and annoyed. I called this shop ahead of time to check if I could place an order for 12 garlic rolls, they told me I could just walk in and they would be ready, no need to order ahead. When I walked in it took 27 minutes for me to finally get my garlic rolls. During which time other customers had received garlic rolls. Most decent restaurants would of at least apologized for the long wait, which did not happen at Pizza Nova.

Came here for lunch and enjoyed my meal as usual.Food: The rosemary garlic knots were out of this world.This was my first time ordering from the lunch special. Between the 3 of us, we ordered 2 lunch specials, one with Thai Chicken pizza and one with fettuccine alfredo. I also ordered my favorite, spicy shrimp warp. Out of the 3, my least favorite was the alfredo; the pasta and sauce itself was good but there was no meat at all.The pizza was very good. But my favorite is always the shrimp wrap. They make the wrap from scratch so its doughy and delicious. I get the sauce on the side so that in case I cant finish, I can take it home without it getting too soggy.Overall, an excellent meal and will return!

Wow. The portabella and black truffle pizza was incredible. Lots of gourmet and brave ideas to be found on a pizza here. Things like gorgonzola pear and arugula on a pizza! I’ve eaten at this chain twice and both times were noteworthy.

The hot wings were good. The salad was subpar at best. What little dressing was used had little flavor. The chicken on top was clearly bulk pre-cooked chicken purchased as a topping for pizza or something. It was dry and had zero flavor at all. Bad at any price, but it was on the pricier end of salads.

*AVOID THIS ESTABLISHMENT OR YOU MIGHT BREAK YOUR TEETH* Used to order delivery once a month from Pizza Nova until I cracked multiple fillings on a ROCK in a pizza. The ROCK was about 1/2 the size of a jellybean. I heard a loud crunch noise as I bit down and caused several $ hundreds in dental damage. I called Pizza Nova immediately because the rock appeared to be from inside their wood fire oven. The host on the phone was unable to get a manager to speak to me, but assured me I would be called by a manager. No manager ever called, I never received a single apology. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a restaurant. I was given no reassurance that they would inspect their oven. The dental work was painful and extremely expensive. *DO NOT EAT HERE*

Well, it is an American restaurant, in the end. This means that all the plates are modified and mixed up. The pizza is acceptable, and the service fast. Better to stick to the american food, or the Italian if you want to start to have a far idea of what that is. Easy parking and outside seating.

Well to begging it was our first time going there, we were coming tired and hungry from pumkin patch . We were seated waited 10 mins no body came to ask us if we needed help with the menu or what we wanted to drink. Yet a couple w a kid that came 5 min after had 3 servers go to there table and had drinks after the 15th minute we gave up and walked out. Its very disappointing and upsetting for our kids we were ready to try something new.

I had the lobster bisque, the baked macaroni, the fish and chips and the Korean hot wings. The only thing that was good was the macaroni. The prices are too high for food that is below average. The lobster bisque had the tiniest pieces of lobster, and honestly by far the worst fish and chips Ive ever had.

Just to start off im a fairly nice person who is very forgiving....but i have never walked out of a place EVER... 17 minutes into it we dont have drinks, food, or even anyone to talk to..i understand if its busy but there were only a couple people and two ladys who work there in the front just talking. At 20 mins we finally get bread from a man who didnt say one word to us. So i gave him the benefit of the doubt and thought he didnt speak english or was busy. 25 mins and we saw a table infront of us who was there longer barely get there 3 waters and leave for another 5 mins....at that point 30 mins of my life was wasted. Very sad to say but not recommended unless you dont mind withering away like a dead flower that hasnt been watered in ages.I dont like ending negatively so, on a positive note, if you dont mind waiting 30 mins there bread balls are fairly good. Compliments to the chef.

Good pizzas in the Del Mar area, we had a great time and they served us excellently. Our waiter was Phillip and he was a great help, he even started joking with my kids!We ordered the Nova pizza with smoked salmon and fried calamari, the lemon mayonnaise is excellent!For the kids spaghetti and meatballs and a cheese pizza! They were very full!We will surely return!!
