We walked past a guy delivering pizza and it smelled wonderful. He heard us and said “Pizza of Venice. Best in Pasadena. Tonight is Margherita Monday, $5 off Margherita pizzas.” So we drove there and it was delicious. We got The Don, a Margherita, a salad, some wings, carrot cake, brownie. Definitely going back! The staff is very friendly as well.

Best pizza in the area by far. Love the thin crust and high toppings : crust ratio.786 Degrees is equally great, just a matter of preference. I like that the dough they use for their pizzas is much higher quality than the average pizza place. Feels better on my stomach.Also, some of the best hot wings ever. So many different flavors. The Korean is a must-have. Their ranch is impeccable. The flavors and textures hit the spot, especially after a long day.Great, fresh salads to pair with the pizza and wings.FANTASTIC customer service, down to earth, friendly folks, support this awesome local businessSee you soon, again.

We really liked this place! We got the Kevin Bacon pizza and honestly, it was really good but I felt that I could’ve gotten a different pizza that I would’ve liked more. But for those that love bacon that pizza is perfect! We also got the wings with the Korean bbq and pineapple bbq sauces. The pineapple bbq sauce tasted just like fresh pineapple and the Korean was the perfect amount of spice. The atmosphere was great and felt we had awesome service. Would definitely recommend!

The vibe is laid back with interesting art and a casual atmosphere. Great service and friendly staff.They serve up delicious thin crust pizzas with a wide array of fresh ingredients and inventive pies. Both the mushroom pizza and the POV really hit the spot. If you go with a friend I’d recommend sharing one pizza and a couple bites. The house salad has an excellent balance of greens, crunchy almond slices and a spot on dressing. I also highly recommend the cauliflower bites in a mango habanero sauce. Yummy.

I was passing through Altadena and had saved this place on Google Maps most likely because it had received a good review on a foodie instagram account. I was traveling with my favorite vegetarian so we decided to get the Saucy Fungi Pizza. One of the most uniquely delicious pizzas Ive ever had. The flavor combo was excellent, the crust was thin, crispy and perfect. Being from New York I often approach pizza on the west coast with skepticism and Venice defied any expectation. James was a great host and gave me suggestions for next time I visit, which I surely will.

Pizza of Venice is a great pizza spot for all ages. With everything homemade(except the cheese and ketchup) and great customer service. The overall menu has a lot of options not only for regular people but for vegetarians as well(Over half the menu is vegetarian friendly).When approaching the resturant you are met with homegrown jalepenos and other peppers. Their drink menu consists of homemade pineapple, lemonade, and hibiscus juice. It also consists of cold coffee. The home-like feeling when eating there really was it for me. I plan on returning again and again. It was a pleasure eating there.

The best pizza, wings, and salad we’ve ever had! This food is high quality, without any shadow of a doubt. They make their own sauces and they are simply phenomenal. Their ranch is unique. We always order extra ranch. Everything tastes so fresh and is so incredibly delicious. We don’t get pizza OR wings from anywhere else anymore. If you’re looking to branch out, try their curry sauce. It’s phenomenal.

First time here. I like this place. I ordered The Don which is pizza with homemade sausage etc. I really like their sauce which is also homemade. Set in a small shopping center in Altadena. Friendly service and a nice location with indoor and outdoor seating.

Ok, I usually don’t do reviews but if I can save someone the trip here is your review. Pizza had no flavored, toppings overcooked (maybe that is the way they intentionally do it) but if it did have a flavor it tasted like paper. We ate one slice from the two pizzas we ordered.

The pizza was very dry, crust was super thin and for a barbecue chicken pizza, everything was just wrong. There were bell peppers on it, not enough barbecue sauce and the chicken could barely be tasted.

POV did it again — made my day, carried me back to my aunt’s Christmas dinner table…and all they did was provide an indescribably delicious slab of meat lasagna with a delicate greens side salad.POV (the vibe and the staff) is mellow, welcoming, filled with pride-of-ownership. Very good pizza and Korean chicken wings are very good (they also sell bottles of this sauce). Brownies have great flavor but consistently not baked long enough so I bake them in toaster oven for an extra 5 minutes and texture is much better. Food is a bit overpriced, although quality ingredients on pizzas. I usually get the saucy fungi without sauce and it is tasty. That, 20 wings and a brownie cost $48.

Dont let the unimpressive location fool you; its a cut or three above your typical local pizza place. They specialize in very thin crust individual-sized pizzas. They use very good quality ingredients, including house-cured meats. The pizzas range from old standards to exotic house creations. A huge sleeper in the competition for best pizza in the LA area.

I was referred to this pizza place by a friend, it is kinda out of my way but I had to try it regardless. They have only personal size pizzas but incredible choices to choose from like the curry pizza. They also make an incredible house-made habanero hot sauce that is very flavorful. I will be looking forward to trying the rest of their amazing menu!

Were not gluten free, but we always order at least one pizza with the gluten free crust, made of potatoes, because it is so delicious. Very clever way of making gluten free crusts - thin potatoes. They also have several interesting pizzas, like chicken curry. Its a cute hole-in-the-wall place with communal bar seating. The 3 stars is that even though the pizzas are creative, theyre not very flavorful. Perhaps Im a salt hound... Or perhaps not. Theyre worth trying out especially if you prefer gluten free.

I just had lunch there today for the first time. a friend told me about the place, so since i was on that part of town for a meeting, i stopped by after i got done. simple, that is the best description of the place and the menu. the food - spectacular, not what i expected, this is like gourmet pizza. i also enjoyed the fruit punch lemonade which is made fresh. i also learned that its an organic pizza place after i ate, which made me feel a little better about my choice. i highly recommend the place- specifically the Fungi pizza. the prices are fair, the owner and staff are nice.

This place would thrive in Berkeley CA. Artisan pizza with Artisan toppings. Pleasant surprise. Great place for a bite after hiking or riding Angeles National Forest. Cracker crust is perfectly done. A little pricey, but quality. Delicious Limeaid, dont serve beer but bring your own.

I originally heard a lot about this pizza place and how amazing it was. Unfortunately I found it sub standard, and the pizza is too expensive for what you get. I ordered two pizzas for delivery thinking they would be a “normal” size pizza, but got two, small, oddly shaped, burnt crusted pizzas. The toppings were almost non existent as well. I’m ok with paying more for good quality food, but unfortunately this wasn’t it. I guess you have to be high to enjoy this place? I would not recommend this place if you’re looking for good quality pizza. Two stars because my delivery turned up on time.

Great pizza joint in Altadena. Im really happy with all of the different varieties of specialty pies you can order from here, but I think that the pricing needs a little adjustment. They cure/make all of the specialty meats in house, so Im guessing thats part of why it costs more (better quality), but for the size (each pizza comes in 4 large slices), you could get a medium or large specialty from a chain pizza joint. I would always choose Pizza of Venice over the chains to support the local business AND it tastes great, but because of the pricing, I only eat here once in a while.

They have the worst tasting pepperoni pizza you can get. First of all it is way over priced for $9.00 and for the amount that you get. 2nd I didnt care for the taste of the pepperoni they used. Dont know what they actually use but its NOT pepperoni. You are better off getting a cheese pizza there, would taste better and be cheaper. I live close by this place so I decided to give it a try and im never going back there again. I usually go to Pasadena Pizza Co which makes great true original style pizza with good prices and not this new trendy flat stuff that these new restaurants have been coming up with recently. They are a few miles more away from me but still worth it.

Great little place. We had the brussel sprouts with the korean sauce, extremely TASTY it was the perfect balance of tangy sweet and a hint of spice. The saucy fungi was DELICIOUS and filling for two with the sprouts. Oh and the limeade, it was slightly minty and not overly sweet, helping to quench our thirst. My friends and I went in on 5/14/20 to make a carryout order. All of us noticed that a kitchen employee wasnt wearing a face covering, and two other kitchen staff members had their masks pulled down to their chins. We left immediately and wont be back. Worse Pizza and terrible customer service... I dont understan how places like this can advertise so good but deliver mediocrity. $46 for two porsonal pizzas about 10 inches and a salad.. The pizzas got to me with in 40 minutes and burned.. They are suppost to be gourmet pizzas but not even close.. On top of everything they dont do refunds.. o.O I called an ask why is my pizza burned and Suzan said that they were supposed to be a little burned they refused to come get them and refund me my money.. Disappointed and feeling robbed :-(
