Ive only been in one theater lately and its always clean with comfortable seating, good sound, and pictures.
Great theater, friendly employees, restaurants everywhere so you can just park and enjoy your afternoon/evening.
Love the monthly foreign films shown here. Kinda a dirty theater- but the big screen looks great, sounds is good and so is my soda! I am content 😄

Pricey, but beef bugogi was the best since my fave Korean restaurant closed in LA. No grizzled or fat, just tender beef.Ramen was outstanding as well.

I believe that this theatre is Oxnards best kept secret for enjoying movies. The service is always so friendly and the popcorn is fresh. Occasionally I will stop by just to get some popcorn and they allow me to do so even though I havent bought a movie ticket.

Plaza cinema has been a great theater and I’ve been going there since a kid. They’ve slowly been updating the theater more and it’s been refreshing to see the change. Only nitpicks are that I miss the big cutout movie posters and the 4D is insanely fun but there’s some seats in the back that squeak and kills the mood everytime lol. Hope they fix that up. Still great nonetheless
Great price on Tuesdays, comfortable seats... prices are made up if you buy food inside. The parking lot by the park is sketchy we felt very unsafe eventhough it was during the day. Would I go back? No, no to the area.

This couple told on us to the employees because we were laughing but they were kissing and the lady didnt let us hear because she was laughing so loud they also fell asleep and yelled at us because we woke them up. And the manager and employees were following us like if we did something wrong

Cool movie theater. Cool food near by. The ticket price is cheaper than Ventura and Camarillo theaters. Also a $8 ticket was a screen that plays 4k.

I couldnt believe how much more money this place would have cost me had I not been truthful. It was the ideal match for my budget. That day, we had a wonderful time at the location and watching movies. To tell you the truth, Im going to tell everyone I know about this fantastic place. Its a joy to collaborate with such a lovely community of people.
Best popcorn around, and so much more than that. I have never had a bad time at this place. Everyone here is absolutely helpful, courteous and they dont mind when I bother them for my five layers of butter!
Some wierdo walked between me and my 4 year old then walked right behind us into the theater. He sat in front of us and creepily kept looking at us. We were the only ones there. The manager was very nice and made sure he had tickets then gave us a refund and complimentary tickets so we could go see something else at another time. They even gave us new drinks and popcorn. Very pleased with the customer service.
The tickets are a little expensive, $8. However, on Tuesday they have $5 matinee tickets. As with most theaters, concessions are crazy expensive! The seats are decently comfortable. It seems like a popular place, always busy. The courtyard outside is really cool though!

This is the third Christmas Ive been to see a Star Wars at this theater. Back home in the South Bay Area, Ive been to some rather crowded films on holidays like Christmas and Thanksgiving. But each of the occasions Ive had the pleasure of attending screenings at this location, they have been pleasantly slow to moderately busy. Not so slow I felt bad for the skeleton crew, but not busy enough to have to deal with any lines. Our family group of nine had no problem finding seats in the theater, although we had no unreasonable expectations of sitting in a consecutive row of nine seats. We sat in threes in three consecutive rows right in front/back of each other, which was a welcome surprise.I have no idea what this place may or may not be like on days that arent Christmas, nor do I have any clue how popular the non-Star Wars showings tend to be here. But I have had a pleasant experience each time I have been.I have a Movie Pass membership, and can confirm that this location is include amongst the theaters the service can be used. The tendency for this place to be slower made this a perfect opportunity to use that.
The seating is old school, but its comfortable and clean. The prices are good and family Fridays you get a large, free refill popcorn, 2 drinks and a candy for $10!! Score!!

First off, this theater is a great place to watch movies. If you go in on a Monday or Wednesday, theyre pretty much empty and you get the whole theater to yourself. The popcorn is amazing and they offer a huge variety of other foods to enjoy during the movie, my favorite is the pretzel bites. I only really have two problems with this theater. One, there are no reserved seating, its a first come first serve establishment and that kinda sucks. I dont want to come to the theater a few hours early just to stand in line, I want to show up at the assigned time and watch the movie. Secondly, the theater is located in the center of Downtown Oxnard, where constant events are taking place like the Salsa Festival for example. During the most recent Salsa Festival, I spent 30 minutes driving around to try and find a parking space! Thats crazy! All in all though, its a good place to watch a movie with your friends and/or family and forget about the world for a couple hours. Also, the staff that work there are awesome!

The movie theater was very nice. Getting the food was very quick and easy. However the floor of the theatre was very dirty and gross. My phone fell out of my pocket and it was covered in filth by the end. We parked in the parking garage. And it smelled of piss. (Believed to be one of the homeless people near the plaza area) however the theatre can’t control that.
Good to go on Sundays, they have 5 dollars tickets. Also offer fair prices on cenima food.
Good, small friendly and reasonably priced move theatre. Was in town for a business trip and decided to threat the family too a movie. Good staff. Everyone had a smile. If Im ever back Ill definitely return.
So today I watched Bohemian Rhapsody with 3 other friends at the 4:45 showing and as we were walking out me and my best friend caught a glimpse of one of the employees whom was about to clean rocking out to the final credits in queen. The guy had glasses and cleaned auditorium 5 came in dancing and was totally feeling himself until we saw him he quickly closed the door after himself. Once we opened the door and started walking away he said You didnt see anything This person made this experience 100× better he deserves a raise! We loved him he was adorable 😂💜 I hope he sees this we tried calling the theater to praise this man but were met by an answering machine. Hope we see him another time 😄💜🌈
Its a great value for families. Service on the snack bar could be quicker but we always enjoy the close-to-home treat of seeing even 1st run movies at a discount! A great escape!
I usually dont like to post anything negative but I went there to watch a movie and I ordered a butter popcorn and got food poisoning
Lots of parking available. You definitely want to watch your favorite action movies in 4-D Motion EFX. I highly recommend it. Just watched Star Wars: The Last Jedi and we had a great time. Most of the staff are pretty good and greet you with a smile. Most important of all: the theater is kept clean. Also, this is a nice place to bring your kids.
Absolutely love this place. Its right across the street from plaza Park so after the popcorn and movies you can take a walk. Parking here is limited but there is a parking structure one street away between 3rd Street and 4th Street. Free parking. Only one block away so its not much of a walk. Sundays and Tuesdays are discount days but it gets packed. We order our tickets ahead of time to make sure that we have our tickets if we go on those days. This place is clean staff is nice.

Went to go watch the new Spider-Man homecoming movie with the 4d experience. Overall it was great however the cleanliness is not good. The trash bins are overfilled with trash, the area where u first wall in to get food is dirty. Made me think twice about getting good there.
Great experience. Theatre was clean and the popcorn was fresh, fluffy, crunchy and buttery, just the way I like it. They even have a popcorn bar where you can stop and dress up your popcorn with your favorite flavors before you enter your movie theatre. I like to add jalapeños for a little spice. Staff is very friendly and hepful. If you had a bad experience it must have been brought on by your attitude. Service with a smile is always appreciated.Thanks for a great movie experience!
Went here during the week to watch a movie with my kiddos and it was great to be back to the theatre. Everything was clean and not crowded and perfect for our family.

Saw Alladin with great friends, happy they started the line on a $5 Sunday 4:10pm, a tiny kid kept crying during the show but overall is always great to see a movie there. There was a musical group right outside playing some of my favorite songs, the place was lively and full of soul. We had subway and cold stone, all within steps of the cinema, parking was easy and a couple of restaurants even had live shows, buffetes and celebrations, happiest place in town 😉when I paid my bill at Subway, the attendant forgot my change, I did not realize it till ice cream time to pay, I barely made it with what had with me. I went back to Subway and the attendant was honorable and immediately returned my change from a $20.
The movie was great, but a child kept yelling during the movie. We spoke to the manager afterward and she said we should have said something during the movie and she could have done something.
Good customer service. You will spend an estimate of $40; with the price of the tickets, a large popcorn & soda. The extra popcorn flavor powders are a nice touch to the buttery popcorn. Theres other entertainment in the lobby such as a small arcade area, the claw machine with decent prizes and movie boards to take pictures or selfies. Some theaters have a rancid smell and there needs to be air circulation in the theaters.
I love this movie theater i’ve been going to theater for years I am remember watching King Kong Transformers 2 and 5 pirates of the Caribbean 3 and 5 The invisible Man assassins creed Godzilla Spiderman 3 and the amazing Spiderman 2 and also I did a short film and I asked for my long time friend Marco who works at the theater notice put up the film but this was years ago
Bad service! They make you wait longer in the lobby for a movie that you paid to see that is about start! The person that suppose to be at the door to check the tickets isnt there multiple times. You have to have your tickets checked by a person working in the food area. Management sucks as well!

So quaint and lovely on the outside but the inside is huge! I love the updated outdoor picnic areas and benches right across from the park. The Chinese food next door was awesome!!!
The homeless have always been a presence in the park, but tents are being erected and left pitched all day and night. I dont like to admit it, but I was homeless for a while years back and the bicycle cops came regularly and suggested to me and others that we not lay down in the sunshine especially during the events that are held in the park. The bottom line is most dont feel safe to use the park and benches. I would raise a fit but this ignoring this public safety issue seems to be a regular occurrence... especially in Sanctuary Cities and the State of Confusion... oops I meant to say Calfornia. As long as this new policy remains, our small park becomes the Field of Dreams and they do come. The homeless are mostly American that are there NOW, but Sanctuary Cities do encourage this behavior whether you are a citizen having a multitude of problems in their lives or illegal immigrants looking for a fair and just way of living and a home.
It deserves no stars because well first of all I wanted to watch Annabelle they didnt let me then need to stop asking for ID well I mean if we are coming were coming for a reason we were allowed to and well its just we were so hopeful and we were just so enthusiastically watch this movie and now we cant watch it and it just really disappointed me 😣🙁🙁
Seating was perfect. No one was in the way no matter where we sat. Popcorn came with a refill and was more than I could eat. Sound was perfect. Its a good theater.
My friend and I have our weekly movie outing and most of the employees are nice and very hospitable but last week there was two gentlemen who were more interested in their own conversation than helping us. It was disappointing to say the least.
It was a nice experience the workers were very nice they answered all my questions quickly and calmly they were always where they needed to be at times they seemed a little short staffed but everything was still being done properly and neatly would definitely recommend and go again and again!

Ive been to this theater the least of times over the others in Oxnard. My most recent...two weekends in a row on Saturday nights, & they have their oven out of service...still after 3 weeks, so no pretzels, no mini corn dogs, no pizza, ect...only pop-corn, Nachos, drinks, & candy. They also need to work on the cleanning, this theater looks way too old and dirty inside...it pretty much looks like the $3 theater in Ventura. It needs seat upgrades badly...& their outer kiosk barcode ticket reader is crack and wont read the ticket phone code...had to line up to print out my tickets...unbelievable unsatisfactory score.
The ticket price is cheap BUT thats for a reason. The theater is always a hot mess! The restrooms are cleaner at a truck stop. The floors sticky and messy. Unorganized concession stands. The Ventura 3 dollar show is better.
At first looks good then you go to the ticket Booth prices a bit high whatever felt like popcorn again wow a bit high but the person attending me rude uninterested and rushy with bubble gum pops so I left without anything overall seats were comfortable if you dont mind the mess all around popcorn cups candy extra everywhere needless to say I rather stay in Edward in camarillo for my next movie
Best theater seating Ive ever sat in and the seat is also a rocker. If youve never sat in First Class on a flight, this theater is for you. Plus, there are very nice restaurants just outside the theater.
Not sure if theyve fixed it now, but screen five had an issue with light on the screen causing discoloration on the bottom corners of the screen. Staff admitted it was there when I told them at the start of the screening, but apparently management couldnt see the problem. No compensation offered.

I always come to the movie theater here seats are comfortable and then afterwards theres a Cold Stone ice cream place there or if its too cold for that theres a Starbucks nearby to have a nice warm cup of coffee or cocoa. And if you feel like getting yourself a drink they have a little restaurant or bar nearby next to the Starbucks so you can have dinner and a movie if you choose to

Needs upgrades first and foremore and the theater inside was dirty popcorn in the seats and floor also the seats were not comfortable so i didnt like that they have good deals like the large popcorn and 2 drinks the reel deal so that was good and the employees were nice and helpful so that was good.
Holy batreviews. The 4D is a must. Saw Batman v. Superman here and the chairs literally rocked. Must try with a action or horror movie as Andres the ticket counter recommended. 4D cost is worth it.
I really enjoy this Plaza Stadium 14. The movies are good and the sound system is fantastic. Prices for the snack bar are not too expensive. I really enjoy $5.00 Tuesday and Sunday.
I only go here because of the Oxnard Film Society but thats reason enough. Monday afternoon, twice a month and Ive never seen a bad film.

Great theater but the snacks are really overpriced, small popcorn is 6$ but a large is 8$ and 5$ for bottled water but I like that at sundays and Tuesdays its 5$ for tickets but all in all I would rate it 3.7 out of 10.

Cylinder for the 4D experience broke down, bought my tickets a week in advance. I get to the front desk and the gossip between the cashiers goes on for a few minutes before they address me. They dont alert us that the movie isnt playing, dont give us 3D glasses so we go in and sit down for a few minutes and finally someone comes in to inform us the movie wouldnt be playing due to the issue thats been ongoing. Mind you we drove 40 minutes to experience this place

Theater stadium seating. I was unhappy with the handicap seating. A family of 6 with 1 handicap person sat in all the seats & didnt move for 2 obviously handicapped individuals. Management did not have them move.

2023-11-11 16:35:35Not a bad place to enjoy a movie, but theirs no cardboard boxes for families to share large popcorn, seats are not comfortable, the staff is the worst part the ones serving food they’ll see a line of customers but instead go and talk to their coworkers for various minutes. They took so long the person checking peoples tickets came and took peoples orders ridiculous staff. May more attention.

2023-10-07 06:19:25I have been coming to this movie theater multiple times, but lately it has become a teenager hangout that don’t let you watch the movies. They are calling, yelling laughing, kicking the chairs and the theater does not take action plus even they do not check for id 🪪 for rated r movies. They even recognized parents buy the tickets for the minors to go inside. Management needs to step it up .

2023-10-28 19:57:08Dont come if you want to enjoy a movie. It is a teenager hang out spot full of kids yelling, shouting, screaming, pulling up their flashlights every five minutes. This is a circus, not a cinema. Unsupervised children with no regards for others, trashing the place with food and drinks spilled everywhere. The poor staff is in over their heads with crowd control and crown management.

2023-07-12 21:45:01The sound is played much lower than industry standards. If the 3-D projection lenses installed on the projector, the image is very dim and if it’s 3-D, it’s even worse. There’s light pollution on the screen in cinema one so you’ll see a constant orange glow in the bottom right and left corners during dark scenes. But there is cheap seating on Sunday, so if it’s a movie, you don’t really care about this is a cheap place to see it.

2023-07-31 04:18:221 hours and 8 minutes and im still waiting for my hot dog. My movie is half-way over. There has been several employess and supervisors or managers that have seen me waiting here. Im not making a fuss just patiently waiting and not one of them has asked if i have been helped need help or offered some sort of customer service. The only person who actually seems concerned and feels bad is the young man who took my order. I noticed he originally had my hotdogs on the cooker but another employee took them for her order. I know its not my cashiers fault its clearly poor supervion and management.....its offically been ober an hour and im still standing here waiting. How long does it really take to heat or cook a hot dog anyway? Why not ask for a refund? After waiting this long a refund of $12 couldnt possibly compensate for not receiving goods and service nor could a refund for my movie that has less than an hour left. At this point its not about the refund its about the time energy and lack of any customer-service. Just horrible.
