Poke Etc. in National City

If you’re use to the majority of poke places that sell bowls and you add all your toppings I highly encourage you to give this place a try. Omg I feel like I was missing out on probably what poke is supposed to be, so delicious! I wanna thank the staff for being so nice even though they get packed with people. I will definitely be going back!

Omg!! The food is sooo good!! The best lechon!! The price is not bad either!! So many cool little snacks from Hawaii too. Im definitely coming back!

Just tried this places poke bowl and wow, was I blown away! The fish was fresh, the spicy sauce was a perfect blend of creamy and fiery, and it was generously lathered over the top, giving a luxurious taste without overpowering the delicate flavor of the fish. The rice was cooked to perfection - each grain separate and just the right side of sticky. And the furikake seasoning? A masterstroke! It added an umami punch that elevated the whole dish. The simple takeout packaging meant I could enjoy this gem anywhere. This is a must-try for any poke bowl enthusiast or anyone looking for a quick, delicious, and filling meal.

Im sad to say that the poke is okay. Ive had fresher fish elsewhere. The flavors are awesome and so much variety and the price is great. Based on so many reviews and word of mouth, I was really excited. But the fish didnt taste as fresh as other places. But Ive only been once. Hopefully it was an off day. The service is awesome! Ive only been once, and they were so kind to ask about my day and such and learn I drove quite a long way to try the poke, so they offered me a bag of ice for my poke! So so nice. The atmosphere/restaurant is awesome. I used to travel to Maui frequently and you definitely get a taste of Hawaii in the decor.

The young lady was super nice and she put my Poke with lots of Ice. They have so variety of Poke flavor and very fresh.

This is our second time here. The first time we ordered poke bowls and this time, we ordered combo plates with cooked meat and a side of poke. Next time, I would just stick to the poke. We didn’t find their meats to be that great. At least the ones that we tried.We got the Island Bento (teriyaki chicken, pork tonkotsu, and spicy garlic poke) and Ohana Bento (kalua pork, shoyu chicken, and spicy mayo poke).This place is still by far the best resemblance of poke in Hawaii IMO. Besides HFS. We love that the poke is already pre marinated.They also sell tons of island merchandise like leis, necklaces, snacks, and even different flavors of Japanese Kit Kats.

Long line because everyone loves this place. Good food and amazing service. Super friendly staff. Parking in lot. Can buy clothes and bags here too. Bathroom in the back for customers.

Excellent food and flavor combinations here. Unfortunately, their cold beverage refrigeration unit needs to be replaced as the loud noise of the compressor was very, very distracting. Not only that, there is condensation that is building up on the inside glass of the beverage doors. And one more thing. If you look inside the refrigeration unit itself, look at the fans above inside the unit. There is dust and dirt building up on the fan housing that really does not help the beverages being appetizing to drink. Because of the loudness of this unit, everybody has to talk louder because the refrigeration unit is on the fritz. I would have given 5 stars all around, but the beverage refrigeration unit was a total buzz kill for me. Make your customers happy, please replace that old tired beast. Thank you.

Poke Etc. is located in alil run down center right off the 5FWY in National City. Inside has that kinda filipino/hawaiian vibe you get all over national city. Not much poke spots in SD and this one is by far better than the rest.I got a spicy mayo bowl and a pound of shoyu ahi. Simple easy, like in Hawaii. They have other selections as well. Just like Hawaii but a bit more expensive. The bowl isnt like the poke bowl you would get at sushi bay in Hawaii and they dont add the other items like they do at the SD Poke spots.In all its probably my spot of choice when I do come down or around National City. Next time Ill have to try their plate lunches. Mahalo!

The food is good and they have a nice variety on the menu. I would definitely stop by this place if you are in the mood for some island grinds. This place gets busy si prepare to wait in line.
