09/28/23UPDATE: I’m so bummed. I just found out that their Miso soup has fish in it. Really!? Ive been coming here regularly for the past few years, thinking this place had at least one vegetarian item. Beware lovely vegetarians/vegans this place does not have one safe vegan item on the menu. Their poki bowls contain fish sauces also. So now I can’t really recommend this place for folks that don’t eat animals. So disappointed. 😢The woman behind the counter really didn’t seem give a 🦉 hoot or concerned. Not even a “sorry “. Got my money back. The search continues for vegetarian good food in Ramona.

Food was great, very fresh.You walk in and they give you a paper where you select all the items in your bowl from protein to sauces, it’s however you want it. I also ordered a matcha boba (which was just ok).The bowl was about $13 and boba tea $5.

Are there poke other places you might get a bit more bang for your buck? Ya. None of them are in Ramona though. Food cost on these kibds of ingredients is high, and the quality of ingredients is always fresh and delicious. The staff is friendly and works quickly. We are lucky to have such a great option in town.

I really liked this place for a while but after comparing it to other Poke spots I feel I dont really get any fish. I always order four proteins and get less than I can put in my palm and excessive veggies compared to the fish portions. When I go to Poke Poke in North county I get so much fish I cant even finish the bowl. After comparing prices and quantities. I may just wait till Im out different areas.

Great gluten free and dairy free options. We were pleasantly surprised. The boba teas were tasty. The poke portions and flavor were average; good for the price point.

Stopped in and had their teriyaki salmon bowl for lunch. So many fresh veggies and delicious flavors. Definitely a great option when you want to eat out but still have a nutritious meal. Staff was friendly and helpful. Cute shop decorated nicely. Will definitely be headed back!

Delicious fresh fish and lots of veggies. I was very happy to find an option where are all the goodies went on very Fresh green salad. Flavor was terrific, prices were excellent and and I look forward to going again! I felt badly they’ve been open for four months and offer healthy food which Ramona has been lacking for about the last 30 years, and we hadn’t gone before. I’ll definitely go back.

Incr-Edible! Such a delightful surprise tucked away here in Ramona! I have had poke and sushi in some of the finest venues in the world and this ranks, without a doubt, right up there with best of them. Poke Oka has some of the freshest ingredients, finest varieties and their attention to detail in preparation is amazing for such a small venue. Modest seating, but comfy and cozy like a familys dining kitchenette. Adorable. We each got a bowl, thinking small (two proteins for me, one for my partner) and by far the star of the bowl was the tender eel. Perfectly prepared, with exquisite taste and texture. The spicy crab also excellent, the ahi was superb and the edamame shelled and chilled to exactly the right temperature for service in a salad. The sauces were excellent and even the toppings still had the perfect crunch. I struggle to find anything to improve on, but as a critic the only thing I would ask a reflection on is the Thai ice tea; could use a little more robust flavor and let your patrons mix the layers. Other than that minor head tilt, 100% recommend! Poke Oka (and I love the Spain family history on the wall at the entrance) you really have something here to be proud of and worthy of review. Amazing poke bowls and such beautiful presentation!! if only google would let me add a picture but the fish was super fresh, amazing colors, and great customer service. Family owned place which makes me feel good and the daughter helping out at the front was super helpful! Will definitely be coming back.

So excited to have a poke bowl place in Ramona. And they have good boba milk tea, too? How have I not heard about them for two whole months!!Ive only been here once, but everything was fresh and tasty. Better than Poke Stage IMO. They were out of two proteins I wanted to try, but they still had about 8 more options. They had Eel as well as Eel sauce, which are two of my favorites! They also had two kinds of steak and tofu, great for that One Friend that doesnt like raw food/fish/places with less than 3 different proteins on the menu.Like another reviewer mentioned, the portions are a bit less than poke bowl places in Mira Mesa and Convoy. But Poké Oka is an oasis in a metaphorical poke desert- the next closest poke place is over 20 minutes drive. I am more than willing to pay extra to stay in town, and eat poke that tastes fresh.I am looking forward to trying the octopus, house tuna, and more tea flavors.

The food here is amazing, definitely worth the drive. Super fresh and delicious, the presentation was beautiful as well. Make sure you grab some boba when you visit too, definitely the best i’ve ever had. Couldn’t think of a better way to support a local family owned business while also getting some incredible poke.

Go to this place! Their fish is super fresh and the staff is very welcoming. Ordering here is very simple. You pick a base of rice or salad. Then, you pick 1 to 3 proteins, such as salmon, yellowtail, tuna, tofu, etc. Next, you pick your veggies and then you add your sauce. They also have a variety of teas to choose from. We will definitely be coming back to Poke Oka! What a great addition to Ramona!

Decided to check out Poke Oka for lunch yesterday. I got the spicy tuna and salmon with a rice base, seaweed salad, and two sauces. The fish tasted fresh and the rice was cooked perfectly. The sauces and veggies were delicious and fresh as well. The staff was great in answering questions and helping me customize my bowl. Definitely recommend checking out Poke Oka if you’re in Ramona looking for something outside of the other restaurants in town!
