Came in and waited in line, they run you step by step on how to make a bowl and theres also pictures on the glass that also guide you. Service was good, it was great making the bowl and just great overall eating in establishment. Would gladly recommend this as a place to come visit and enjoy some DELICIOUS Poke!

Tbh the prettiest store in IV!! The store is super clean, workers are super nice, and the food is so fresh!! Try out their takis musubi.. its so good I come here twice every week just for the musubi
I am writing because I would like to complain about a staff member at the ceviche poke shop in Isla Vista, Goleta CA. Today, February 2, 2023 around 2pm. I ordered a ceviche poke using a groupon coupon. I was treated horribly by an older white man around his 50s, who claimed to be the store manager, because I was using a groupon coupon. He told me that my voucher was invalid. However, he told me that other staff members will accept it. I dont get it. I bought this coupon that says a miso soup, a musubi and a poke bowl. And he told me that I could only get one thing but then he told me that only for today he is going to validate my voucher. His service was poor and he was not filling the scoops with food and he also told me that there were no musubi takis, he just didnt want to give it to me. Also, I asked for half salad and half rice and he said I can only make two scoops of rice or salad. Also, he told me that he had the right to tell me that he would not validate my voucher because he is the manager. This man shouldnt be working there, he has anger issues. I was so scared of him and he made me feel horrible
Always love it. Great food. Always fresh. I like their selection and flavors. Still some of my favorite poke I’ve had. I always get the poke bowl, haven’t tried the tacos or salad.Oh, and my wife and I both love their Takis musubi for a tasty, cheap snack. One of them will usually hold me over until my next meal.
Its okay. Its a little overpriced. Pokemee in Goleta is MUCH MUCH better. Compared to them pokeceviche is like a 1.5 star but it wasnt terrible or anything so i wont go below 3.

Came in 8/20 around 6:30ish and wow… crew upfront had no idea on how to ring up the combo (which is 5 bucks)charged me for my bowl then tried to charge me for 8 bucks and some odd change for the combo… doesn’t know how to ring up that correctly. Texts her manager for help. Then when I asked for a receipt for the previous transaction she told me too late for that. (Gave her the look of disappointment lol) but come on… offer a receipt at the end of each transaction. Not that hard.
Surprisingly good food. Slightly expensive for IV, but the amount of unique flavors you can combine to make a bowl of your choice is worth trying out. I had a very interesting Asian flavored burrito.i found the ingredients pretty fresh as well.
Amazing food. Great owners and management. These guys go above and beyond to make sure their clients are satisfied. Please. If you’re new to the area or just not familiar with PokeCeviche, please try their Poke bowl with a side of the best Miso on the Central Coast, as well as a Mango Lychee Slushee. Truly the best meal in Life. If you like a good Miso this one is served with thick chunks of tofu so yummyyy and delicious. Will always return to this place
They take forever and everythings way more expensive than it should be. 2 musubis took 30 minutes to come out. Dont recommend
Came here by accident when our first choice was closed. And am I glad! This restaurant just opened and they really have a refreshing menu. Healthy, very refreshing, and natural. The meatballs are awesome and no matter what you order, you will really miss out if you dont try them. The owners really aim to please and make every effort that their customers are satisfied. I am truly a fan!
Surprisingly nice and clean IV restaurant. Doesnt seem to get much traffic. They had run out of a few staples and the soda fountain was out of order. The bowls are good, though, with countless combinations. Ill gladly be back when everything is back in working order
Very mid poke. The quality and quantity of the fish are both subpar. I also got piping hot rice which for me is a big no no going with stuff like raw fish and seaweed salad. Poketheory is the much better poke in iv
Food is great, nice selection of ingredients to make your custom bowl. They have a happy hour from 2 to 5pm with cheap items. Restaurant is cosy and clean and there even is a Switch to play games and relax. Really lovely.
Ordered a bowl. My rice was hard. Definitely not worth the $13. Also, one of the (female) employees wasnt wearing gloves while serving food. The trash was overflowing. The countertop at the register was filthy and the fountain drink station was a mess. Its as if there was no management/leadership on duty to make sure these type of things wouldnt happen. College area or not, it was unacceptable.
I ordered a bowl through Doordash and it had a small piece of plastic and a razor blade in it (that I chomped on before realizing). Only giving two stars because the manager was nice when I confronted them about this issue. Yikes.
Cute place in Isla Vista, CA. Haunt for UC Santa Barbara students. Great selection to compete your poke bowl and youll actually get two meals from one bowl. Excellent flavors and good, fast service.
My friend and I went there twice yesterday for their musubis. If youre worried about the price go to happy hour and/or late night! We went during both times and got 2 musubis for $5 (after tax like 5.40). Speaking of which, their musubis are quite bigger than I expected them to be so we found them well worth the price! Were definitely coming back again :)
Food was great and quickly made (I had a medium bow with tofu and tuna, on sushi rice w/house ponzu sauce, edamame, seaweed salad, etc), the Stubborn soda fountain has a lot of delicious flavors, staff was friendly and helpful. Small but nicely kept shop in busy downtown Isla Vista. They even had video games set up to play!
Theyre kind of stingy with the amount of protein they give out 😔 and theyre not very good at explaining their menu either. Like it says 3 bases but they only allow you to pick one? And the servers arent entirely friendly either
A single person was running the whole place; i asked what I should get after they came back from the bathroom and they unenthusiastically shrugged and said they never ate the food there. After that I decided to forgo raw fish and got a cooked spam roll instead. It was OK.
It may have been my selection. I ordered a shrimp ceviche tostada. Plain, kinda tasteless. Shrimp seemed like it was just removed from a freezer and served. Pico de gallo was diced tomatoes, no cilantro, lemon, or jalapeño.
It’s not bad. Definitely got some great aesthetics going on, it looks great. Especially at night when the lights are on. Way better than poke mee in Goleta in my opinion. Poke mee used to charge for items like crab salad and seaweed salad. Fresh and exciting actually. A pretty diverse menu and some pretty great food makes me very satisfied.However, I recently discovered a new poke place, Pokirito on Seville next to Ike’s. Would just recommend that as well seeing as how they’re in a less populated area of Isla Vista. They have phenomenal service and different options. Go check both these places out!

This place CHANGED my life. Hands down best date/quick-bite/anything spot in Isla Vista. The food is AMAZING, toppings are great, and fish never tastes old.
The fish isnt fresh which is clearly reflected in the taste and texture of it. The person cutting the fish doesnt know how to cut the fish in correct proportions and also doesnt know how to filet salmon correctly. The ceviche is alright. I recommend only getting the ceviche if you plan on going here. The sauces are okay but nothing special about them. I would have ranked it 3 stars if it wasnt a rip off. If you want decent poke in isla vista then go to pokirito.
Arrived before closing time, just wanted a lychee smoothie. Staff was very rude, closed the door in our faces and refused to serve / open doors. He also flipped us off.
The food was cold and bland. The wait was long even with only one person ahead of us. This place also made my boyfriend sick. He has avoided fish ever since.

It was not as good as expected. If you want to have a nice large poke bowl, then go to the one in Hollister. They have larger poke bowl and more fish.
Awesome people ambience and food
Good Poke. The 3 stars is for the absolute obnoxious rap music that was playing at an unnecessarily high decibel level in the dining area. The music they were playing in the back kitchen was more reasonable.
Good poke place and they do other things. There was another place in IV I liked a little more that had mote fish options, but they closed. They also have video games.
Overcharged me the first time, but management was great and reimbursed me the meal. Really delicious meal and great daily specials
Always have issues with their deliveries, and the pico de gallo was old and disgusting. Next time don’t even bother adding it.. oh wait! There won’t be a next time!

2023-12-09 01:07:54Wow this is one of the best poke I’ve ever had! I’m super impressed! The decorations inside is beautiful. I couldn’t stop looking at the colored balls above! When we went in to pick up our order, the person working didn’t know we were there so we waiting for awhile until I finally yelled out to them in the back lol. I don’t like waiting around. I got their slushy and it was really good! I definitely recommend this place! The fish is so fresh and so delicious. I’m sad I didn’t get to go the last time I went to Santa Barbara. I’m craving it now. Until next time :)

2023-12-03 23:33:22Went in to store and the person who was serving was very rude. Started yelling at customers to get their attention and did not come off polite at all. Everyone in the location looked at him in shock. I preceded to get my order which as he was taking he was rude the entire time. I asked him if you could give me a bit extra of the crab salad and told me I had to pay extra for. Which would not have been a big deal if he wouldn’t have been rude and would not have said if they never have charged you we are today. I said damn in all the time eating here that’s the first but it’s fine. preceded to then tell me that he was the manager and he would know and that that was that. He made it very clear that he did not want to be there. To be honest seeing a manager do that gave a horrible impression and gave horrible service. Surprised he was happy with saying he was the manager especially considering his ugly attitude.

2023-10-17 20:49:46I went here recently and had one of their Poke Ceviche bowls. It was just ok. There is a better one in the shopping center near storke rd by kyles kitchen. That one is much better, but its a further drive from Isla Vista. I probably would come back to this place again because its close. You should at least check them out.

Recommend a rice/ poke bowl, which can be made with salad or rice or combo and a side variety of fresh veggies and other toppings, including sauces... also popular with everyone are vegan musubi with tofu or the regular which is made with spam similar to the Hawaiian version.Also available to create are grilled burritos or loaded nachos, miso/spicy miso/ and slushes with jellies or not.Lots of pork modern seating and a charger area for your phone or laptop, with several video game controllers. Easygoing friendly staff. No public restrooms, but theyve re opened the public ones in the park just across the street.To go is efficient or grab a table outside if you change your mind on way out!
