Despite some drawbacks, one of my favorite poke places - takeout. I have a renewed appreciation for this place after driving through Texas trying a couple poke places. Spotlessly clean, always perfectly fresh, and wide variety of add-ins to pick from. I’ve never eaten in the restaurant- it’s McDonald’s style seating and sometimes they’re cleaning in the daytime with public school strength cleaning solution. There is outdoor covered seating that’s not terrible if you don’t mind views of parking lot and 6 lane road.

I love this place, the building itself is very special to my wife and since before it was PokehanaI. Now, Pokehana its a treat to us. Healthy, delicious food... I get to enjoy what they offer paired with sone fond memories. The workers here are very genuine individuals.

Exactly what I was hoping it would be and for a more than fair price! Went with the Tuna Hana and added a scoop of shrimp plus whatever sides they recommended and it was perfect. Im a big dude and it was more than enough food for one sitting. And dont judge that I was using a fork as I was there for sport, not for leisure... 😉😆

The best value for you buck when your craving sushi. For the price of 1 roll you get a huge bowl of fresh deconstructed sushi roll with endless options. Super fresh. Super yummy! Usually eat have and save the rest and it taste just as good later. The owners are really nice and welcoming as well.

My best poke experience. My 1st time there I was greeted with a friendly introduction to the ingredients and amazing sauces that created a unique experience. Sauce from sweet teriyaki to wasabi citrus and some amazing spicier choices made for a great mixture. The manager came to check on my visit and took the time get to know me. I cant wait to go back to try more.

I came to La Quinta for business and ate here both nights. I appreciated the knowledgeable staff that listened. Right away they understood I needed gluten free so they were able to make other suggestions for me as far as sauces. All the sauces that are premade have soy, but they had sesame and that did the trick! Plus they have a free tea check in on Yelp! How sweet is that!?

Visited with my mom about a week ago. We found the staff to be extremely helpful in explaining how the restaurant works. The fish was high quality and tasted fresh. This is a unique spot that is definitely worth a visit.

Terrible experience. Ordered spicy tuna for delivery. Being from Hawaii and knowing that poke means cubed, I expected nice fresh cubed slices of tuna with spicy sauce however I just got bunch of disgusting mushed up tuna that’s not even recognizable as tuna.

Pokehana is an interesting higher end concept of making your own Japanese bowl a la carte. You pick your rice, protein, vegies, sauces, toppings, etc...all with strong Asian flavors so they all blend together exceptionally well. (Basically you cant go wrong regardless of your selections.)The ingredients were clearly fresh and perfect for a Sushi type bowl (I had the Salmon and Ahi tuna)...the rice spot on. The addons (edamame, garlic aioli, seaweed salad) also were absolutely delicious!The service was exceptional from an experienced, very pleasant and congenial hostess who provided her recommendations on what to try that I took, as I am prone to try what is recommended to me! (most of the time)While I probably couldnt have it every day, as looks are deceiving in that it is really a *lot* of food packed into one bowl, for an occasional change of pace for something unique and favorable...I would say to totally give it a try!

It was good at the beginning, now a total disappointment.1- The app has not worked for months.2- No chopsticks for weeks.3- Smaller bowls.4- I used to mix my toppings with my protein, now no more.5- Music is too loud and club music is being played (You come to this places to have nice Asian meal and relax).To the owner: You officially have lost a loyal customer (Being coming since the first one in LA Quinta). Absolutely Incredible. The flavors were so perfectly balanced and everything was so fresh, definitely the best Poke Bowl Ive ever had. The service was excellent, great environment, and amazing food. Shout out to the guy behind the counter with the tattoos that made mine so good with his suggestions and questions, all while being extremely friendly and helpful. Cant recommend this place enough!

This is such an awesome concept my one gripe is that I only recently found out about their app. I’d have like 7 free bowls by now. The employees are awesome and hospitable (I especially like the employees who hook it up fat scoops on fish; being polite goes a long way)I suggest mixing it up because everything is good and also do not forget about the jalapeños and citrus if you’re doing albacore.Fast food can definitely be healthy

Very pleasant place to get out of the heat and get a refreshing bite to eat. The options here are much more diverse than anything Ive had near LA (kelp noodle, watermelon radish, etc). The staff was very friendly and patient while we made our choices and Id honestly go out of my way to come back here. Lovely!

Id been really excited to see this place was finally open, the food is delicious! A bit on the pricier side (compared to other poké places) but its well worth it based on how much food you get as well as what they offer. Theres a seemingly endless amount of options for toppings, and the staff is very patient and friendly. It has a good amount of open seating space, large tables for bigger groups and the smaller ones for more intimate seating. I definitely recommend making a custom bowl for your first time, since you know what you like best (as opposed to ordering one of their pre-made bowls).

I love the food but I cant justify giving them anything more than 1 stars. Today was the second time Ive had to pay out of pocket when I shouldnt have. First off, theyre knowing selling gift cards that cannot be redeemed because theyre system is down and their gift card system is ridiculous. You cant even use it to purchase a bowl through their own website. And they dont tell you until youre at the register with your bowl already made. Second, their app clearly states that you get a free bowl at 150 pts but when you try to redeem that in store they say its 160pts for a free bowl. No one there can help with it, it has to go through the owners, whom are non existent. This really shouldnt be allowed. Theyre stealing peoples money, especially with the gift card sales.

Consistently some of the worst customer service in the valley. If its not the angsty teenager in Palm Desert that avoids eye contact and communicating with you at all costs, its the La Quinta location that has messed up our orders three out of three times. Their online ordering is a joke. 1 - They only start making it once you get there. I had to wait 15 minutes after the scheduled pickup time to receive my order. Twice. 2 - They charge you EXTRA to order online. 3 -The employees wont scan the rewards app if you order online. 4 - They always screw up the order and forget toppings. Ordering online costs more, its slower, its wrong, and theres no rewards. In summary: We cant wait for Haus of Poke to open further south.

We had the fortunate experience of eating here on Pokēhanas first day open and we were not disappointed! The Pokē (sushi) bowls were handmade in front of us to our order. I had the white rice with salmon, spicy tuna, massago, with lots of fresh vegetables, ever thing was extremely fresh and blended well in the bowl. Great friendly staff, very knowledgeable even on the first day. If you love good sushi, you will love it here, its even better in a bowl!! I will be back as soon as I can.

It’s stops there.I suffer from a breathing disability and I asked the staff to make a medical accommodation for my disability because it is near impossible to breathe with a mask over my face. The employee that was serving me at the time said “I have the right to refuse service to anyone”. Unfortunately in California that clause doesn’t apply to medical accommodation requests. The fact that the ownership of this location doesn’t educate its employees on current healthcare laws pertaining to masks during the pandemic is unfortunate. I have sent several emails to the management and no one has responded.

Pretty average poke a little pricey for the portions they also consider tofu as 2 protiens which I havent seen before. Interesting assortments of fish shrimp and octopus. I have traveled the globe extensively and spent a great deal of time in Asia particularly Japan where I first learned to appreciate raw fish in its various preparations and it is all about the quality, freshness and preparation of the fish. Pokehana does an outstanding job in that regard and at an amazing value. The woman who owns it and conceived the concept also owns the best sushi restaurant, Okura, in the desert valley. She is a first class restaurateur and does not cut corners. You cannot find better or even comparable Poke anywhere within 100 miles except for their second location in Palm Desert.

Went to pickup our order and the person making the food was not wearing a mask, he had a bandanna around his neck. When asked about it he said it was okay because he said it was okay. Talked to the manager and she said he was wearing his mask (a bandanna) even though he just pulled it over his face the discussion was going on and she came out. Suggest she look at their video.
