Went there tonight to do take out. Got large bowl (4 proteins). They ran out of white rice and bringing a new batch. Meanwhile, the girl asked me what I want for my protein. I ordered shrimp, ahi tuna, spicy tuna, and seared tuna. Spicy tuna and seared tuna don’t need mixing and because the rice wasn’t ready before she placed the mixed proteins into the bowl so she forgot to put my spicy tuna and seared tuna in the bowl. I didn’t notice that until we got home. I don’t feel like they pay attention to detail. They don’t seem like they want to be there working. And the place is depressing. There was no one dine in. Not that it’s a surprised. Mostly take out or delivery. We should have gone to California Fish Grill next door for seafood and they are in the same price range but better food.

This place really sucks. I just made a purchase 2/28/2023 at 1:30pm and the girl there didn’t even pay attention when she was serving my order. She was serving very poorly that on my 3 protein servings she put exactly 7 pieces of shrimp. That place wasn’t worth my money. $17 bucks to the trash. Don’t waste your money there. It’s not worth it.

Every time I order, my plate comes with random ingredients and add one that I didnt order.Good luck if you order a veggie bowl, youll get krab, shrimp and pretty much anything they feel like adding

Witnessed an employee bullying her coworker, calling her this woman!, snapping at her that she never listens (while the bully was getting my order wrong). Im a long time customer and was made very uncomfortable. The girl being victimized is always polite and has always gotten my order correct, I dont know her name but she is the petite Asian girl - always courteous and efficient. The bully is a gangly white woman. Ill come back in a month and if I see the victim being treated with respect Ill update my review to 5 stars.

I’m originally from Escondido but live in Florida. Florida has no real poke culture which is a bummer.Coming back home I’ve been eating here EVERY. OTHER. DAY.I’ve been to alllll kinds of poke places and this is just my favorite. So many sauce options, and cheap for three scoops of proteins versus other places a regular bowl is just two scoops.It really is very filling, especially with all the toppings. This place is usually busy and for a reason. My opinion, best poke in town, hands down.

Personal keeps changing constantly and every time I go they prepare it different which everyone has their own personal touch, but when I order the large it’s like they give u a extra small regular . So disappointed in how expensive it is and they don’t give you, your money’s worth SMH! 🤦🏻‍♀️. Will be going somewhere else. And if you ask to add a bit more rice 🍚 they charge you extra

Went in around 7:50 got 1 bowl. The guy ends up charging me 38 dollars! It didn’t sink in till I was in my car.I tried to look at my receipt and it wasn’t in the bag like he said it’ll be. Went back in told him what had happened and he claims to not remember me. I told him I was just in there, and no one else has been in the store after me. My receipt was at the top of the pile. He then proceeds to tell me that he doesn’t know if I did or did not get two bowls again because he doesn’t remember me. He tells me to be back tomorrow when someone who has access to the cameras is there. He bets I’ll be there! Worst experience ever.

The food is fresh and they have not been cutting down portion sizes like other restaurants of this variety. I hope they continue to serve the same size and quality of food. I understand prices for things are going up and I hope they don’t cut back the quality and instead choose to price things as needed because I have seen a lot of restaurants lower quality instead of raising the price.Please always have the same good food keep up the good work. It is getting harder to find good Poki thank you for continuing to serve quality food.

Line order, see what you want and order as they make it in front of you. All Poke poke I have been are the same. Great friendly quick service. Parking is easy easy to find. Good for quick healthy meal. Eat in or take to go. Food is always fresh. Servers always friendly and helpful. I have been to 4 or 5 different locations. I believe they have different owners but all are awesome.

The past two times I’ve gone to get poki they were greedy with their portions they served in the bowl. My bowl has had more rice than the actual toppings. I just ordered there tonight and I couldn’t even taste the eel sauce or spicy Mayo I asked for. I just mostly tasted my rice! Kind of disappointing considering when I first started going there the portions and flavor were great.

I arrived to pick up an order that my niece had placed under her name, and was told that I needed a confirmation number. I texted her and she had not received an email with the # (Postmates). I provided them with the phone number she used, her credit card information, and the exact order. They would still not give me the order without the confirmation number, and I ended up having to pay for the order again. Staff was rude, and extremely unhelpful. I have picked up food under similar circumstance at many other places without issue. Seems to me there should be more than one way to verify and order for pickup. I will not be going back.

Absolutely horrible experience here. Went in around 7pm on a Saturday and right away there was a girl yelling at us and another poor lady. I’m not sure what we did do deserve this kind of treatment, we hadn’t even been in there 5 minutes, we were just waiting in line for our turn, and we hadn’t even spoken to this girl before. I understand that customers can be annoying at times, trust me, but I don’t think anyone deserves to be yelled at for no reason. We didn’t even feel comfortable enough to order anything so we left. Will not be returning anytime soon.

Worst poke i have ever had. didn’t give any forks or chopsticks, fish and seaweed salad was very obviously old, cucumbers were brown and soggy, didn’t get more than a scoop of fish. to top it all off there was hair in the rice. the most disgusting thing i’ve eaten and i couldn’t even eat it.

Super expensive and very little portions. I didnt like any of the toppings except the seaweed salad. So i asked if I could get extra salad if I got no other toppings. She said it costs extra. Soooo, does that mean that if I dont get any of the toppings you will discount me???? Unbelievable. Talk about nickle and dime you.

I will never be coming to this restaurant ever again. I order from Poki Poki through DoorDash on the regular and usually have it delivered. Recently I’ve been opting for pickup since it’s cheaper. Every time I have picked up an order the same employee helps me and gives so much attitude, and all I do is say I’m picking up an order.This last pickup was the final straw. I walk in, she asks me if I have a pickup and I say, “yes, it’s an order for Heather.” She couldn’t hear me so I repeated myself and emphasized my name so she could hear me better through my mask. She brings me my order and goes, “Here you go HeaTHER. HeaTHER. Her name is HeaTHER.” I grabbed my order said thank you and she went, “you’re welcome HeaTHER.” And continued to make fun of me and my name as I walked out of the restaurant... I could hear her still doing it as I was in the parking lot. I have no idea why she literally mocked me for repeating my name when she asked me to, but I am over it. Her consistent obnoxious and rude behavior is unbearable. The food may be good but the HORRIBLE customer service is disgusting. Congratulations Poki Poki, you lost a loyal customer.

We went to this place after a softball game with my dtr. We had to wash our hands before ordering our food. The staff at the counter stated bathroom are for customer only. Explained to the staff behind the counter we are buying food thats why we are here. So not a good first impression. Not welcoming and very rude. We try to support local restaurant in Escondido specially new ones but this one we would skip and we would rather drive farther to get our Poki. Perhaps more training for staff.

Visited Poki Poki with my boys, it was the 1st time here at this place. Each of us got a bowl. We pretty came to the same conclusion. Food was good and fresh. You build your own bow. Bowls are pretty big and enough for 1 person. A regular bowl has a choice of base (White rice, Brown rice, salad or half/half), 3 scoops of Poki ( I got ahi, salmon, & shrimp one each) . Add sauce, I had Mild sauce which had a bit of a kick to it. The girl behind the counter wanted to add more sauce or was offering more. I could not understand her much so I was very explicit on what I wanted on there and made sure I pointed to the exact item. My son asked for seaweed and got masago instead. For the most part, the place is clean and quaint. The Poki is fresh, the topping were good but I have better. We will be back since this is close to home and easy to get to. Location has plenty of parking since it is in a strip mall where Staples, Home Goods, Aldi, & Bev mo are. Its a nice addition and brings an added choice to what is already there.

This is my first public eatery where I could easily support my ketogenic diet! Usually when I eat out it means a cheating day. Not in this Poki-Poki. Even though they have carbs in their menu you can easily skip those.The food is fresh, tasty, and “keto” rich for those who follow this eating protocol. We had to even spend quite a bit of time in a line. Now if we want to go out, we know where can we go. This is nice.

One of my favorite places to get poke but after my last experience has been less than satisfactory. They were very rude and felt like they did not want to be there during picking our meals. I get it why they may not want to be there but when I got back to the dealership I found hair in my food!!!!!!!!!!! I called five times and no answered and the message said the data is full. There must be new management or ownership because I never received this type of customer service from here in the past. The photo shows the hair in my food...YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
