Poppy Hills Golf Course in Pebble Beach

The golf course is superb! The generous fairways may give you a false sense of security because the greens dont give up Pitts very easily. The bentgrass greens make for a very smooth surface so watch out when putting toward the ocean. The pro shop is full of stylish apparel and youll be tempted to pick something up for sure. The snack bar was disappointing and I avoided eating there after hearing others complain about how the food didnt taste good and was very expensive. I went into the bar to get a beer after the round and stood there for 10 minutes while I watched who was maybe a bartender count her tips rather than see if I needed anything. After she was done she just walked away. I had to run over to the other side of the bar to chase down someone else to get me a beer. So from my experience the service at the restaurant has a lot to be desired. Needless to say I left after that and had a great meal in Monterey. On the other hand, the staff in the proshop gave impeccable service and all were very friendly. Overall, it was a nice experience.

Played Poppy Hills for the first time. Really like the course. Very hilly, take a cart. Some very challenging greens. Beautiful scenery. Lots of nature. Great pro shop with friendly staff. Good restaurant and bar. I like the food, very good quality. Really nice place to take in the serene environment. They have a small range.This is an NCGA course, think about joining, lots of great benefits.

I visited this golf course today. The course was excellent, but the experience at the restaurant was truly appalling.My husband and I were almost done with our meal, still enjoying the remaining fries. We had ketchup on his plate, so I was dipping fries from it. The server, without asking, just took his plate away. Then, inexplicably, they grabbed the napkin from his arm, even though we clearly hadn’t finished eating. They did the same with my plate, as if we were waiting for them to clear it!Would it have been so hard to ask if we were done or if they could take the plates? What was this behavior about? Did they want us to leave quickly? Did we do something wrong? We were just quietly eating our burgers. The rudeness was incomprehensible.Was this discrimination because we’re Asian? They didn’t seem to treat other tables this way.While the golfing was enjoyable, the restaurant service was extremely rude and left us both upset and angry. We didn’t want to make a scene, so I’m leaving this review instead.

This is a real gem the Del Monte forest. Played two rounds here with my son and a couple of friends. Course is in great condition, fairways are beautifully cut, and the greens are deceptively hard. One of my favorite courses.Course is in great shape considering all the storms this year.Absolutely gorgeous today!!! Weather was great, greens are in fantastic shape, and the fairways were beautiful.Update on 9-4-23, it was punched and sanded a couple of weeks ago. Had a few 3 putts today.

When you walk onto the grounds of Poppy Hills Golf Course you immediately feel like you are on a Championship-style course. You are treated with the utmost professionalism and great customer service. And from the 1st Tee right until you walk off the 18th green you have a great time while playing on a very well maintained course with spectacular views. One of my favorite courses to play!!!

Beautiful course. Had a twilight tee time which was significantly cheaper. The time of sunset allowed for us to play quite a bit of golf. My biggest complaint was that they shut the grill before 5:30. So, dont come hungry to this course!!!

A course worth playing. It will be windy in the afternoon, which will be more challenging. The greens are more firm and rolling.

This is a fun and challenging course. It keeps your interest throughout the round, and throws in some beautiful views along the way. It can be a tough one to walk and carry, but absolutely worthwhile to do so if you can.Really friendly staff, welcoming environment, and The value for money is unmatched if youre an NCGA member.

Jesse was absolutely fantastic and really made our experience over and above what we expected. My golfing partner is handicap so we have to use a golf cart, Jesse got us and earlier tee time to ensure that we finished before dark and could return the golf cart on time. He was more than accommodating and because of him we will be coming back to Poppy Hills multiple times a year because of him. Thank you again Jesse!
