Fellas, you don’t know how good you have it. I’m from NYC and I am confident that this is a superior joint to anything I can find. The last time I had something this good was in Toronto almost a decade ago. The bun vermicelli was the perfect thickness, and the five spice chicken so juicy. And getting taro in a spring roll these days?? Jesus go support this place!

This is my all time favorite PHO spot in SF for a long time. They have the best crab meat noodle soup here which not using the ketchup to make the soup base. I always choose flat rice noodle which taste really good Fried tofu salad also has the right amount of the dressing to combine with peanuts as well. Simply the simple and good quality food. Five spice friend chicken with rice or garlic noodle are both good too. Satay beef pho it’s special not all the restaurants offer this. However, I took one star down because the restroom really need a renovation work. Overall service is good and good quality also decent too.

Legit pho spot, The noodles were tangy and chewy and bouncy was a little more salty but so flavorful. The spring rolls you can skip lol

Have eaten here for 10+ years and always gotten the same thing. The #8 is the ultimate spicy /curry /chicken soup. The spring rolls and imperial rolls are legit but just a skosk too Caucasian to be for my liking… doesn’t mean I don’t order them for the wifey tho.Shout out to Connie who’s an angel when it comes to entertaining my 5 year old and her fledging Mandarin skills.Love this place like it’s an integral part of the city and hands down my fav noodle spot on the west side of town. Cheers

The wings were so juicy so flavorful, the papaya salad was tangy and crunchy and the peanuts and chicken balanced so well. Everything was delicious! Def recommend.

I ordered the pho,The soup is like beef and chicken stock mixed together with some herbs and msg.Aside from salt the rest notes of the broth had taken second place in terms of flavor.Beef slices were also few and far between.I wouldnt recommend this place unless you were starving and the whole sunset area was closed for some reason.Tldr food is slightly below averageService is its saving grace with food coming in fast and hot.

PPQ Noodle House is a hole in the wall Vietnamese noodle restaurant that has been serving up delicious dishes since 2007. The restaurant is located in the Outer Sunset neighborhood of San Francisco, and it is a popular spot for locals, folks coming out of the nearby bars and tourists alike. While the menu is large, I usually go with either their Pho, Bun Bo Hue, or Oxtail noodle soup as theyve never let me down and are both flavorful & filling. If Im extra hungry, Ill grab some crispy rice cakes or spring rolls to top off my stomach but their noodle bowls are typically substantial enough to not make that necessary.Family owned and run, so I ask anyone reading this to please tip kindly as this is a neighborhood Gem that deserves to be supported.

The last time we been here was about 3 years ago. The curry chicken noodles soup still taste excellent! Also spicy beef and ice coffee. Not the cleanest place but its all about the food

Updated review 6/14/2022:PPQ is as good as the first time I ate here, back in the 1990s. The thing that keep me coming back is, they are opened late until 9:30pm. Sometimes I take a nap after work and by the time I wake up, most places are closed. My #1 pho dac biet, medium $11.25 was good. Theres less meat now than before though. The imperial rolls $9.25 werent great. They were too mushy in the middle. I would have preferred some rice noodles along with the cucumber, lettuce and mint leaves. Regardless, Im just glad they were opened at 9:30pm.Updated review. Indoor dining 4/21/2021. Tonight I had their five spice chicken garlic noodles with a fried egg. Even on a Wednesday, they were pretty packed. Theres an endless flow of food delivery workers picking up orders causing the single waitress to be overwhelmed. Their little kitchen cant keep up. Their garlic noodles are not bad and the chicken was moist with good amount of flavor. Good job PPQ.Indoor dinner 3/19/2021. Pho Phu Quoc PPQ no longer have outdoor dining tables, only indoors. They have five indoor tables and a few window counter seats. The waitress told me indoor dining started Wednesday 3/10/2021 for them. Sometimes the kitchen staff will make spring rolls in those window seats, so it might not be available all the time. I only came here because Kevins pho across the street was packed. I didnt want to risk getting sick. I ordered their #1, pho dac biet $12. There was a mistake with the noodles and the waitress had to bring it back to the kitchen. I can totally understand why they messed up my order. The waitress was running back and forth with all those food delivery app workers. PPQs soup broth was alright. It is authentic and I can taste that it was boiled for a long time. They are really stingy with the meats, tendons and tripe though. The menu clearly said meatballs. There was only one meatball in my large pho dac biet. Regardless, my meal tonight was not bad. Good job PPQ staff. My bill was $15 with tax and tip.

Excellent pho ga, shrimp rolls and great service; theyll happily accommodate any special vegetarian/vegan requests. Service might get slow when theyre very busy in the evenings but the wait is worth it.
