The food tastes good, but the portions are small and expensive.See the impossible burger with fries in my pictures. I put the fork on the burger for scale. Smaller than a burger serving when you buy impossible burgers in the store.For $19 + tax and tip I expect to be full on a burger and fries, not wondering why its only a little bigger than a slider.It did taste good, though.I skipped the Parmesan crisp.My hubby and son got the naked wings, also very small appetizer, and Ahi avocado tacos.The tacos were like little sushi things, liked cuteIt was difficult to get the waiters attention, and took a very long time to order. They have long tables for groups to share out front.

Great experience here. Ordered a couple drinks and a couple apps + meal to share amongst three people. Saucy tots were fantastic, must order as an app. Mac and cheese and the short rib were good as well. Great location in Culver City - will come back here again to check out the rest of the menu.

Public School is a decent pub to go hang out and chat with your friends but I wouldnt expect high dining or anything like that, even with the extravagant prices attached to each dish. I went with the Thai coconut curry, and tried some bites of my friends other dishes and I can solidly say that along with many Culver City restaurants, the food was quite bland.There were no flavors that stuck out nor where there any dishes that I felt were worth the price tag.Our server was very polite and nice, but under their max capacity, the servers were far too busy to give us attention, which is of course understandable, but we had an appointment soon so we couldnt afford to wait very long.

The service here is not up to standards at all. I’m not one to usually post a bad review but stay away from Public School 310. The food came out cold multiple times the chicken was not fully cooked. The entire energy at the restaurant was off there was no synchronization between the waiters and the kitchen staff. Our order had to be sent back multiple times. The food looks great it is photo-worthy and very presentable that is just about the only really good thing about this establishment. I am really disappointed that my experience at this restaurant did not go as planned and a bad combination of bad staff and a bad experience with the food was just not acceptable by any means.

Came here with some friends for some food and drinks. We had an amazing time with excellent service. The food was great from the apps to our main plates. Not your typical restaurant width unique items on there menu like the PBJ Burger. We love the beer selection too! Will be back soon!!

Had a great dinner here last night with a large group of friends. The food was great, and Evon really really helped us when it came down to splitting the check for each party as we are all internationally based and couldnt just rely on Venmoing one another. We didnt realize we were lingering as they were closing, but felt like we were being shooed out which is understandable. Everybody wants to go home at the end of the day. Either way, Evon was very friendly and patient with us and she deserves all the praise. Everybody enjoyed their food and drinks. Would recommend this place to friends if you go before 7pm.

Been a happy customer for years. This past Saturday we were served a chicken sandwich that was pale, not crunchy, two strange flavorless sauces on s dry bun that fell apart for $18. A BBQ chicken salad that turned out to be fried chicken chopped up on salad with what tasted like bottled BBQ sauce poured over it. We were told there is a new chef, but thats no excuse for management allowing this food to be served. Lunch for two with tip $70+ and it was terrible. Been enjoying walking to PS and eating for years but we wont be going back.

We ordered the Parmesan truffle fries, chorizo mac and cheese, and the barbacoa chili cheese tater tots. I personally enjoyed the truffle fries and mac and cheese, but they were all really good! I think they’re on the happy hour menu too so you can get a small discount. The tater tots serving size was much bigger and quite filling than the other two dishes. Service was fast and very friendly, the drinks selection was great, and the vibes were laidback and chill!

The water cups were disgusting dirty. They didn’t look clean and even had green chunks on the glass. I ordered the tropical berry lemonade and it was missing the blueberry and mint. The food was good and when we asked for peppers for our pizza we got a pepper shaker lol. Overall, food was good everything else sucked.(There was even something we ordered off the menu and was told by our server that they add things on the menu that aren’t available yet to make it difficult on them.)

The first fried chicken sandwich I ordered was basically a chicken tender on a bun. Unacceptable really for a $15 sandwich. I asked the bartender if this was normal and she asked if I wanted a new sandwich. Not knowing what to expect I said yes. Boom - Three minutes later a new crispy chicken sandwich came out with two huge pieces. Much better. The chicken was crispy however it was a bit overcooked. Otherwise the sandwich was good. I have both pictures below. Five stars for the super friendly service and second sandwich. If this review was only the first it would be 3 stars at best.

So their PB&J Burger is surprisingly awesome. I see why its this restaurant prizes it so much. Fries are great (pretty hard to mess up fries lol) cocktails are fantastic. However, the rest of their foods that Ive tried so far have been very bland.. at least their fried chicken sandwich and their curry dish. I really wish theyd just season their food more... both times we went, it took a really long time for a server to get to us, even just to give us water. I imagine that this restaurant maybe understaffed, in which case I understand the struggle- but thats just another thing I felt was worth mentioning. Honestly, if it werent for their PB&J Burger and their cocktails, this place would be very mid for me in terms of food, especially considering the prices

If you are on the prowl for some good quality place, I highly suggest making a visit to Public School 310.Its got a happy hour you simply cant beat. Although your options are fairly limited to be honest, doesnt mean they skimped on quality. We opted for truffle fries that were featured for happy hour, a nice Moscow Mule and a delicious pretzel. Food arrived hot, fresh and bursting with flavor in every bite. Im not one for salty food however the pretzel was an even balance of salty and savory.For our entrée we opted for the butternut kale pasta that was packed with a firery punch. A personal recommendation from our server when it came to tough decisions. Although service was slow my experience was still very positive.Its ada/ wheelchair accessible, perfect for a group outing or an intimate dinner.

I just returned to this restaurant after 4 years or so. I sat on the patio with a friend and it was a very enjoyable lunch.The crispy buffalo cauliflower appetizer was just ok. It was too firm and could have been cooked a bit longer. My chophouse steak salad was delicious. The greens were fresh and the beef perfect.Our server very friendly and attentive.I wont wait as long to return.Thanks for a great lunch!

I love this place in downtown Culver City! The manager, Kristina is passionate about service and it shows. The vibe in this place is very cool and welcoming. A nice place to just kick back and have a drink and a good meal. My favorite is the Salmon Caesar salad. For good food, a good vibe, and very nice casual dining I recommend Public school 310.

Public school is cool place. The bf and I sat at the bar. The waiter the was super friendly...I wish I would have gotten his name to give him a proper shout out.Please excuse the picture of my half drunken Irish coffee and half eaten buffalo cauliflower. By the time I realized I needed to take a picture.... well we had already enjoyed a few bites and sips. I like that the cauliflower where large pieces and they had good texture. But I will say they were a bit on the bready side. They had a nice buffalo taste and came with a side of blue cheese dressing and marinara sauce which personally I thought was weird. Ive never had any buffalo flavor food with marinara sauce. I just feel like those are two competing flavors and not complimentary to each other.We also got the pb & j burger. Sounds weird but its actually delicious. For me I could have used more pb.... I love pb and the fact that they use chunky pb is awesome. The meat tasted fresh and was cooked perfectly... medium. The bacon lardons (thick cut bacon chucks) added a nice saltiness to the sweet pb&j. I would totally order this again. We got fries as the companion but you can decide to get a peanut coleslaw or red quinoa. The fries came with a side of sriracha ketchup, which is not for me. I like my ketchup to just taste like ketchup.As for the drinks, I personally am not a big drinker.... im still learning. But the Irish coffee was good. Although I thought it could have been sweeter. My bf got the coffee stout, which he said he like... again not for. But Im not a beer drinker. He also got the guavalajara. Which had a lovely presentation and delicious flavor. My bf said he could drink those all day. You could taste the basil. Very nice.This place was very nice and I love the look of the menu and napkins.... super cute.

I went there with a friend and while I went to use the bathroom I come back to find that my friend was being asked to leave there was a couple of waitress who had an attitude say that he was causing a scene which he was not while rightfully asking why hes being demanded rudely to leave they have no answer for him at all but to call the Culver County police department and have him arrested. The atmosphere is hostel and crass to its darker skinned consumers and their pasta was bland. Not worthy of a true distinguished palette but if you crave the mediocre be a guest

What a great place. Went here for a bday during happy hours and did not disappoint. Prices are ok, just need to be careful with times because it can get packed. Parking can get a little tricky but we’ll where in LA isn’t? There’s a parking structure in the back, but be careful they don’t validate for it. Food was great, beer selection is O K.Recommend it 100%.

I appreciate a creative menu! The pb&j old fashioned was unique and good for Screwball lovers - not something I need to order again any time soon, but glad I tried it! The chorizo mac n cheese piqued my interest because it’s topped with salt and vinegar chips. The flavor wasn’t especially groundbreaking, but it was a solid mac and fair serving size if you’re not super hungry.

Happy hour was affordable & the buffalo cauliflower was great, I’ll give Public School 310 that. However, the drinks (Guavalajaras) were terribly mixed, our other food (truffle fries, buffalo chicken sliders, pb&j sliders) was bland and not cooked well, and our server Alissa was highly unpleasant.From placing our drink orders to her returning to take our food orders took about 20 mins, and she did not check on us during our meal at all. It wasn’t busy in the restaurant.Even after running our cards, she dropped the checks on the table and walked away without saying a word - not even a thank you. Very disappointing experience and will not be returning.

At Public school I dont recommend the Margarita Pizza 🍕 from 1 to10, I score this one at (3). After we test this Margarita Pizza we order the Burger 🍔 slider we will see if this will boost the score from 4 🌟 to 5 star 🌟 review. The slider Burger 🍔 save the day, this i score from 1 to 10 a full (10) . The next order will be the Buffalo wings. The Buffalo wings are good and I score this one from 1 to 10 and full (10). I would give most stars for the great variety of food and starters I enjoy the u calamaris berry crisp, they have an amazing selection of fancy beers that I would recommend you must try you wont find it and other common bars or pubs even fancy ones I would say the one star off is that it could get a bit too crowded at times a random crowd could be younger as well, but sometimes it gets too crowded, the kitchen closes early by 11. I wish they would stay open longer. I wasnt too crazy about the workers there so the one star off would go for the lack of professionalism from some of the staff, who didnt even know what a certain beer tasted like, but I would still recommend it

Really love the food and the atmosphere at Public School. A heads up that they close much earlier (9 PM) than any restaurant that serves alcohol should and they stop seating even earlier (8:15 PM). If youre planning on a later dinner, its a good idea to have a backup plan

Hostess was incredibly rude and seating is disorganized. Was told we couldn’t put our name down for a table. Saw a reservation was available for 5 mins later and booked it. Came back and was still turned away. I was a loyal local and suffice to say, I won’t be back. Food is average anyway.

Was really interested in the jambalaya because I love it at CPK but this was a miss. A heap of dense rice on top of spicy red tasteless soup, dry shredded chicken, and limp bell peppers left much to be desired. My children ordered from the kid’s menu- cheese burger sliders and they were huge and filling. The fries were also great. Service was good and we sat outside under a heat lamp so felt comfortable. Not crowded at all on Mother’s Day.

Outdoor dining protected in tent, tables spaciously set, masks required while speaking to servers, who also are required to wear masks.Barcode used to get menu. ordered the Impossible Burger,my first . at the recommendation of our server. who also suggested lettuce wrapped since I didnt want the bun.Excellent! perfectly cooked, lots of mushrooms on top.the sauce and jelly on top made it very tasty,messy to eat, but I wanted to eat it like a regular burger NOT with a knife and fork. added coleslaw that also was large portion and tasty. Friend had the Beer cheese burger with fries. he said it was very good also. I tasted the beer cheese sauce, too smokey (cheese)for me. the fries seasoned and tasty. Service very good, attentive. We picked this place on a whim and it really enjoyed it. It is really affordable for anyone wanting to eat out without over spending. It was a really nice environment but it did take a while for our food to get to our table but with the same issue happening at every resturant, its something that we will have to get used to. In conclusion, its a really great place to grab a bite & beer with a friend!

This place is fun and has great service. The menu can appeal to almost anyone. Im very particular and really enjoyed the Buffalo cauliflower and the way they serve the imposible burger here is excellent. I like the fun and flavorful twists to the food like Parmesan crisp on the burger and chimichurri on the avocado toast. Plus they have yummy cocktails. I recommend.

Great selection of beer including some reds which is somewhat rare since most places dont carry red beers. They also offer the impossible burger which is the immitation meat but tastes just as good. Somewhat pricey for imitation meat but the vibes are great for happy hour and sporting events. Fries are great too both seasoned and sweet potato. However, our fries were consistently cold the last time we went. Hopefully it was a fluke that day, but all in all its a cool place to go for dinner / happy hour.

This place is cute and great for outdoor brunch. But overall, the food is just fine. The fish and chips is a bit lackluster, and the burgers are good but its a burger. I think the brunch is better than the dinner, but theyve got great small plates/apps. But its all quite pricey and the service is just okay. And frankly they are inconsistent with drink prices. What is a well drink. The drink specialties are subpar. I ordered their version of an old fashioned stripped down. Tldr; They have a covid time limit of 75 minutes. We were here for 2 hours, but not because we wanted to be. Food was ok.The appetizers and drinks took 35 to come out. The place is divided into two sections based on the type of fare youre after, with only one half of the restaurant devoted to Happy Hour items. Its easier to sit in silence. This location is also out of stuff a lot, or maybe I just am unlucky. A bar that resembles an old school classroom. Such a clever idea! This place has the theme down to the cocktail napkins that resemble composition notebook paper. Magnifying lamps, globes and bookcases adorn the dining room along with multiplication tables.Food and drinks are on point here. The brown bag fries are so good and with their spicy ketchup and honey mustard it adds a gastro-pub fancy touch.I usually order the ahi tuna Niçoise salad and its delicious every time. I would recommend dressing on the side since the dish has so much flavor.The service here is great and everyone is super friendly. I would recommend reservations since its really busy especially around dinner time. Oh and here is a little secret, no corkage fee for your wine! I hope they never change that because my friends and I love that perk about it. If you didnt like school, dont worry, you will absolutely love Public School 310.

We had the deviled eggs, tater tots, hot dog, all-American burger, and the Brownie with ice cream. And everything was absolutely to die for! Our server Aaron was the greatest and Chef Chris was very nice. Well be back every week for happy hour Monday through Friday from 4 PM to 7 PM!!!

Okay let me take you school. The Bathroom was filthy and the waitress was not tentative she mever came to our table not once to ask if we needed anything to sum things up at this Public School as a whole the hospitality dining experience was aweful. I would never return or recommend. I feel thats what the waitress was trying to achieve so her mission was accomplished.

Happy hour was killer:$34 for:ahi tacos: texture heavenchicken sausage: snug as a bug in a little Lodge pan on a healthy bed of arugulalamb burger: cranberry sauce was too sweet but the meat was cooked to perfection (we specified medium, and it was MEDIUM) and the brie was, well, brie on my burger. $$When you walk in you almost feel like your in a sports bar, hooter-esque. Not because of the girls but the layout. Then you look at the menu and see that they have some great foods to offer.The drink and draught beer selection is very solid, with many craft beers to offer. They have many of the LA local breweries as well as some of the more popular Northwest and and San Diego breweries.The location is ideal as it is in Culver City center, where you can walk to other bars and pubs.

Sat at the bar to watch football and had a great time. Bar tenders were personable and friendly, very knowledgeable as well when it came to beer. We had the CCB, Fish n Chips, and an order of the Cheese and Bacon tots. the CCB and Tots were awesome, fish n chips were tasty but lacked the crunch we both like.Overall liked it and will add it in to our DT Culver City rotation with the likes of City Tavern, Rush St, and Fathers Office.

The Cod fish Fish and Chips was cooked to perfection, the fish was very moist, easliy separated by the slightest touch of the fork and glistening on the inside, the outside crust was crispy but not greasy, the fries were cooked very well, lightly seasoned, Im definitely going back

I really want to like this place because I like the one downtown but the service here is so bad it makes it hard to ever want to go back .The waitress said it was group serving (meaning I could ask anyone for help) however when she left her table it was impossible to get anyone to pay our table attention for 20+ minutes at a timeWe watched our drink sit and get watered down at the bar while we waited. It was very disappointing.

This place was horribly disappointing. The FOOD was great but the service was horrible. We had 4 or so separate servers and we had to keep asking for them because we were not being attended. Then I asked the host for my check because he was all I could find about my situation and expressed my frustration and was told to “chill”. I would not recommend this place. They have very very poor service. Never coming to this ovation again!!!

MMMmmmMMmGot here at lunch time on a weekday with a rezzie so no wait. This place is always crackin so a rezzie is essential unless you like waiting...I got the lamb burger with balsamic onions with a side of fries. So so good! The lamb didnt taste gamey. The balsamic onion gave that necessary 2d flavor in my burger. I wouldve wanted more brie BC it was concentrated in the middle of the burger.The fries were so crisp too!! Paired with the sirarcha ketchup just secured how well thought out this place was. Their menu, bill and napkins all played around this school theme very well without wearing it out. I will be back!

The worst service I’ve ever experienced at any restaurant anywhere. Asked to speak to manager twice…guy doesn’t seem to want to talk to people. Complained about slow/no service several times and each time the waiter/host was like ‘oh yeah…it’s bad today sorry’. This is clearly a management issue but the whole staff from the host to the manager need to be put in detention.

I found the Price a little high on the amount of food we were received, but its LA. The food was interesting, there seems to be a little juxtapose in terms of the dish. Some interesting ingredients though making the food taste delicious. Regardless of price this place is worth checking out

Public School is a school-themed restaurant/bar right in the middle of downtown Culver City. Food and drink selection is wonderful and reasonably priced. I see this as becoming a national chain at some point similar to Bar Louie. If you need a place to meet friends for any occasion, Public School is a great option.

Service was terrible. Waited 30 minutes after other members of my table got food. Complained multiple times to the server. Nobody ever came and said they were running late. As a matter of fact that didnt say anything to me at all. I finally left after two other tables that arrived well after me received their food. I will never be returning.

Although the whole public school-theme is a tad bit overdone, its not without reward. The menu is laced with an impressively creative array of appetizers, entrées, and drinks. The Sunday brunch extension rocks, too. Clientele range from pseudo-trendy CxC locals to curious tourists, and the wait staff are efficient and service oriented. Not a favorite, but an absolutely satisfactory outing.
