Tried because of all the reviews, I must say they must be all fake or people have never had Indian food. Place was empty and food was atrocious. Prices were $4 higher when they charged us, and bill came out to about $80, overpriced for below average food. Dessert we ordered, was even worse. Go to an Indian grocery store and get dessert as it would be 100x better. Good luck to the owners, hopefully they see this is as constructive criticism and fix their mistakes.

This was first time ever having Indian food. And I was not disappointed one bit. The food was very flavorful and the service was 10 start along with the food.The owner vick who is also the head cook came a few times to check on me and wife. We will definitely be back. To try more great food on the menu.

We dine-in for 2 people. Got their veggie samosa, eggplants, butter chicken with Naan & rice, medium spiciness. The service was quick, the food was fantastic and the place was quite clean (incl the restroom). Its definitely worth your time.

We have many Indian restaurants in our area but this one beats them all. I have never had anything that didnt taste wonderful. They treat you like family are great with helping you pick out something in case you arent familiar with Indian food and its always clean which I really appreciate. I have tried just about everything on the menu and love it all. But I especially love what theyve done with the wraps. its my go to when Im busy and need to pick up something quick

Today we went to visit Oroville Dam and on our way back we stopped by this restaurant in Yuba City. Punjab Tandoori Grill is the best and the most authentic north Indian i ever ate in past 25 years. Best Amritsari Onion Kulcha i had ever. Malai Kofta was soft and tested awesome. Overall best food, great service, clean place. Kitchen and bathroom was very clean. I live about 1 hour away but i will be going back soon. I highly recommend this restaurant if you ever want to have north Indian food.

Start to finish this place is hands down the best food around. My family and I visited the Sutter Buttes for a hike. After, I looked up Indian food and this restaurant came up. We made our way here a bit nervous as it was set to close in 30 min. But that did not bother them. Our waiter was helpful, honest, and gracious. We started with a refreshing flying horses beer- perfectly refreshing after the hike. And if we didn’t have to drive back so far would have and another. Our waiter was patient with my mother and her questions and provided great recommendations. We ordered the chicken Tika, butter chicken, and Tika masala. We also ordered veggie samosa and naan. All of it was amazing. But by far the chicken Tika was so so good- best thing I have eaten in a long time. We had enough left overs for two full dinners the next night but wished we had more chicken Tika and a samosa. All of us on the way back home to Sacramento said we would drive 50 ish minutes back for dinner any day!

We ordered goat curry and chicken tikka masala! Both were great! I personally love the goat curry paired with their garlic naan and it was delicious! Their serving was pretty big too, me and my wife ended up taking home some, perfect for our dinner lol, and for the finisher we got the pistachio ice cream on a stick and boy it was the creamiest ice cream I ever had. The service was great and the owner is very nice! Will definitely come backk 100% 🍻

The restaurtant has good, authentic Indian food. If you cant handle spice, make sure you tell them so they can accomodate you.It was clean.It didnt seem like they had enough servers though. One nice man seemed to be managing orders, delivering food to tables, and phones calls. I recommend they have more floor staff to improve their service.

We tried Punjab Tandoori and have to say, its amazing. The butter chicken and chicken masala is off the hook.Even the simple rice is flavorful.The fried fish has the most unique flavorings and cooked to perfection. Not oily or over cooked.Naan also on point. Samosa are packed with flavor yum.Service❤️ love Veronica. Shes so sweet.If you havent tried this place your missing out. My mouth was happy with the flavors of the food.Yes highly recommend. I wish we were local. I would eat here everyday if I could.

Their food taste pretty good, no complaints there. There is one time where the order took a little longer than usual, perhaps some sort of mix up, the staff did apologize and accommodated us nonetheless so the service was good. Atmosphere of the place does fit that of an Indian cuisine establishment, tables and booths were good, nothing wobbly or uncomfortable. Overall place is good.

I have lived in Yuba City for three years. When I first moved here, I tried every Indian restaurant in town literally because I love Indian food and wanted to know where the best food was. Interesting, the last place I tried was Punjabi Grill. Comparing the food service, atmosphere, and incredible recipes the owner has created, well let’s just say I found my new Indian restaurant. Nothing in town compares.The servers are kind, and since I have several allergies to gluten and other things, the owner was more than willing to alter some of his recipes to accommodate my needs. He also cooks my food with the level of heat that I request and sometimes I request no heat and he is gracious to leave it out.Please try this restaurant if you like Indian food, you will be very very pleased with everything. My favorite dish is Chicken Malai. No one in town makes it with the same fantastic flavor! I have tried their Chicken Chili and love their Chai tea!I’ve never met nicer people.Recently, they did have a small price increase, but it is no different than all other restaurants in town. As everybody knows, the cost of food has gone up, and the cost of employees has gone up per hourly wage. It is reasonable that most owners had to increase their prices slightly to accommodate the increase in cost of food and employees due to high inflation. Like I said, it’s nothing different than all the other restaurants in town have done.Small price increase or not this restaurant has the most incredibly prepared, fresh Indian food and recipes of anybody in town… hands-down.I have read some of the negative comments for this restaurant, and I have to say compared to the enormous amount of excellent reviews it makes me wonder if there was more motive to their madness.

GREAT FOOD! We had the veggie pakora that where flavorful and crunchy w/ yummy sauces. The tandoori chicken was some of the tender and juiciest I’ve ever had. It had a yummy spicy and the seasoning was throughout the meat, excellent. We ordered the butter chicken mild but still had wonderful rich flavor and a slight kick. They offered us a sample of the Malai Chicken (last pic), which the chef called their “signature dish” (something not offered at other Indian restaurants) and it was fantastic. It had a slight lemony flavor, juicy (not spicy) and quite delicious. Definitely will have to order it next time. The Malai chicken is perfect for both Indian food lovers and reluctant goers (like my husband who enjoyed it greatly).

Stopped in for dinner while in town for work. The food was absolutely phenomenal. Cooked fresh and the blends of seasonings were just so good. Our server was very friendly and helpful when suggesting food options. Try the mango lassi! Towards the end of the meal the owner/ chef came out to talk to us and was also very friendly. Loved this place, will definitely make it a point to come back!

The food here is excellent. The butter chicken was delicious, especially with the garlic naan! We also ordered malai chicken and chili chicken. We ordered medium spicy and it was plenty spicy. The food took a little time but we realized when we got our order how hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious each dish was. I can’t wait to eat here again.

I just discovered this place back in August and it is, in my opinion, the best Indian food in Yuba-Sutter. I believe it is a father/son business and the service was exceptional both times I visited. They go the extra mile to keep customers happy and I appreciate that. My only regret is, as a diabetic, I can only eat there occasionally and not every week as Id like. If youve never been to PTG, you will not be disappointed.

This restaurant is absolutely the best if you are in search of Indian food in the Yuba City/bi-county area. I was treated very warmly by the staff, served excellent food in a timely manner, and was even accommodated by the chef when I called in 30 mins before they opened (I was running low on time, but had to get some food) -he had our food ready for us when we got there, 5 minutes before they opened! I was surprised that he even answered the phone...You and I go to restaurants to eat good food and feel comfortable, and preferably at a reasonable price. This establishment lacks in no part at fulfilling/exceeding those basic expectations that so many restaurants are lacking in -one way or another.

We recently moved from NY to Yuba City for work and were looking for an Indian restaurant to fill our craving. Parents were visiting, and 4 of us decided to come here.We met Vik, down to earth owner and chef who grew up in yuba city.We had his tandoori chicken, buttered chicken, chicken saag, goat curry, and 2 orders of garlic naans.Tandoori chicken was our favorite. Vik says he marinates them the night before with 14 spices. Let me tell you the chicken melted in our mouths, bursting with intricate flavors.Goat curry was stood out. It was delicious with amazing flavors and meat tender.Vik was awesome enough to sample his malai chicken, which he said is one of the most popular dishes. It did not disappoint and will def come back to order that in the future.Happy we found our go to Indian place in yuba city!

***UPDATE****Ok, still totally AMAZING! Went back last night as our first meal in town while visiting my parents, and wow, this food is ridiculously good. I even got a few photos this time! Not of everything because, well, we couldn’t help ourselves ;) Go here now!Pro Tip: if you are planning to dine in, arrive before 7pm. While they close at 8, they seat the last table at 7!EAT HERE NOW!Coming into town for the weekend, we knew we had to grab some Indian food. After reading a number of reviews and checking out photos, we landed on Punjab Tandoori Grill, and what a great choice we made!My boyfriend Abe called ahead and were told the kitchen would close in 30mins so we rushed out the door to grab a table.We walked in to an empty (thanks pandemic) but clean restaurant. The bubbling fountain at the entry was inviting and the sports game playing drew my boyfriend in to a table close up. A nice guy was helping someone with a pick up order but greeted us and invited us to take any table we wanted. We later learned his name was Vic. He was generous and friendly. Grabbing menus, we settled in while we waited the rest of our family to arrive. I have traveled extensively to northern India, and knew exactly what I was craving for dinner!The family meal was a great price and offered some of the dishes I was already planning to order. Tandoori Chicken, Butter Chicken, Samosas, & Naan. These are all a yes! After Vic recommended a few dishes, we added on the Goat Vindaloo and the added on the Dal. A few King Fishers were also ordered, then we sat back to watch the game, wait for our family and our food.Right away Vic brought out the Samosas, complete with tamarind and mint chutney. These 4 big beautiful samosas were steamy hot, and packed full of the traditional potatoes, peas and carrots. The spice mix was pure perfection, the BEST I have ever had. While we were distracted with mouths full of flavor, the tandoori chicken and butter chicken arrived.The Tandoori chicken was perfectly spiced, sitting top sautéed red bell peppers and onions, with a bit of lemon for brightness, great flavor that was not Overpowering. Crispy and tender, this melted in your mouth.The Butter Chicken dish was perfectly flavored and reminded me of my travels. No twist, traditional and filled with love. Chicken was delicate and moist.The chef brought us a taster of a dish he had recommended but that we didnt end up ordering, Malai Chicken. This chicken dish is top on our list for next time because it was so good!Our goat vindaloo was succulent, rich and packed with flavor, again just as it would come out of a momma’s kitchen.Just as we finished our 4th basket of naan, the chef brought out a small plate of Fish Pakora for us to try! What a nice gesture! The fish was again perfectly seasoned and cooked exactly as you would want it, soft, flaky and warm.Our kids could not get enough of these dishes, and asked if we would come back tomorrow!We ended up talking more with Vic and his father came out of the kitchen as well to share with us as well. They are literally the nicest people who shared their family recipes with us tonight. Greeted at the open door by the chef, who seated us, inquiring if this was our first visit. It was 12:00 noon. first moments of opening. Our lovely server kept our water glasses full. We ordered the butter chicken, and tandoori chicken wraps. The steaming hot wraps came in foil which retained the heat. The flavors were wonderful I then ordered a tziki salad, as the spices were a bit hot for my taste buds. With the yogurt in the salad drizzled on top of my butter chicken wrap the meal became perfect! I dove into the food before I got a proper picture. But I posted when I did take. The chef brought out a sample of another entree for us to try, so we know what to order our next visit! The sample is also excellent. He came back later after we enjoyed the sampling and showed us on the menu the item informing us we could order it with salad or on rice. Well, I know what Im having my next trip! The restaurant was clean. the bathrooms were clean. The atmosphere feels light and modern. There is plenty of distance between tables and in the aisles for social distancing. The owners endeavored to give us a memorable experience, even for a common lunch.

We drove almost an hour to eat here because the reviews were outstandin, and we werent disappointed. First time for my brother to eat Indian food, and he went straight for the Goat Vindaloo and loved it. The dish all three of us could agree on as being phenomenal was the Tandoori Fish, which had a perfect spice and was so juicy. Also, the Kulcha was so fresh tasting and delicious. We tried several things and had plenty of leftovers, too. This deserves the best Indian food reviews for Yuba City, and easily rivals many restaurants in large cities. Also, our server was very kind and made several recommendations of their specialties, and the man doing the cooking came out to check on our experience, too. Looking forward to coming back. Great food and friendly service.My spicy chicken Vindaloo was fantastic, and had enough spice to make me sweat without being overwhelming. It was as good as any I had in Goa.My cousin - who usually doesnt like trying new foods - ate his whole portion of butter chicken, and my aunt and uncle both enjoyed their food as well. Our family of 6 stopped here on a whim after our sons soccer games this past Saturday. It was not our first time eating Indian food, but our first at this restaurant. Our server was very nice and made a few suggestions for us to try. We ordered an appetizer, garlic naan and 5 different entres, which were all delicious, and fresh! Hands down the best chicken Malai tikka that Ive ever had! This is a nice little spot close to my house where I love to go get food from. The owners are really nice and friendly and take pride in what they do. The restaurant is great for a small party and they can even accommodate your catering needs. My sister has lived in Yuba City for over a year. We absolutely love Indian food, and we eat Halal meat. When we called to ask if the meat was Halal, we were told yes, and to our surprise, when we arrived at the location, there was a beautiful sign that said Halal. JB Singh, our waiter was so friendly and helpful while ordering. We had a party of 5, and our picky teenagers were met with patience from JB. We ordered a family favorite Chicken Tikka Masala, along with butter chicken, butter Naan, and Chicken Biryani, which was so yummy full of boneless chicken breast just how I like it! I also ordered an aloo paratha, and that did not disappoint so spicy and flakey.My husband is not able to tolerate much spice past black pepper, and he asked JB to make his dish of butter chicken mild, and to my surprise, my husbands request was met. In other Indian restaurants, mild is usually still spicy for my husband, who is sensitive. My daughter and I ordered spicy Chiken Tikka Masala, and it was as spicy as you can imagine, and oh, so very delicious! The food was so delicious, and if youre still reading on, I can assure you the food is fresh, flavorful, and well priced. You will not be disappointed. Come check them out. Yuba City is lacking great cuisine, and they are the pioneers of flavor and quality!

And lets not forget the garlic naan....The prices are very reasonable and of course with inflation they are higher than one would want, but dont let that deter you from tasting this food.Now the customer service is top notch here too. Our server lost our ticket right after we ordered and it was in her pocket the whole time. Since it was our first time, we had questions and our server really couldnt answer them.The food overall was very good and we had samosas, butter chicken, goat curry, roti and buttered nan bread. This is hands down the best restaurant I have ever been to! We almost never eat out because we cant justify paying for food that is not as good as we can make at home. The service is second to none! We took our 9 year old who doesnt like anything different and after eating here he wants this instead of little Ceasars! We are going back for lunch today and going to make it a regular thing.

Really BAD Service Don’t come hereReply to owner: I’m not talking about your food. We like the food. The young waitress who waited on us on 12/30 was very rude to us. She treated us like she was doing us a favor, but did not pay attention to anything we said to her. She didn’t smile, or refill our drinks, and messed up our orders. Bad service and a waitress with an attitude problem can ruin a good restaurant. Don’t let it happen to your restaurant. You work too hard for it.

We live in an area with great Indian food. However, this is the best Indian food I’ve had. The Malai Chicken and Tandori Chicken are incredible dishes and the restaurant has a cool atmosphere to it. Definitely will continue to return and recommend this restaurant.

When we moved to Yuba City two years ago, I was intrigued with the abundance of Indian food and couldn’t wait to dive in. After being misled by locals for months...my husband found the true GEM here at this restaurant. You will not be disappointed and you will be back, and every time get the garlic naan regardless of your order. Spicy Goat dish is one of my favs. It’s a really comfortable atmosphere and really good company as the owners are fantastic, humble and always grateful. Do not pass them up

Food is delicious, very fresh and the owner cooked it himself and made sure everything was made perfect. Food was of top quality. He makes the best paneer pakoras. I love that whole family pitches in and I have immense respect for hard working family. I drove 2 hours for this food and it was worth every bite. Try the wraps as well. They really aim to please.

My aunt came from out of town and took me to this restaurant. We were welcomed at the counter and they let us sit wherever we wanted. We sat down and was asked what we would like to drink. We ordered water and an iced tea. The drinks came out promptly and after my aunt didnt quite like her iced tea she requested ice water and was given such shortly after. The waitress came back shortly after and asked us what we would like to eat about 10 minutes after taking our order she came back and double checked our order. Shortly after that we were given our food and the waitress would come and refill our cups whenever we were half way done with our drink. In the two hours that we were there talking not once were we rushed out! It was such a great experience! The food was amazing as well!

I came here for lunch with my classmates and we happened to came before they opened. The owners were really generous to open the door for us and let us in. They rushed to get the food out as quick as they can and we were so grateful. They also checked in on us often to make sure everything was good.The food was really delicious, especially the butter chicken! Chicken curry was really good as well. I got a mango Lassi for myself and I was in food heaven. For $10.99 lunch buffet, it was definitely so worth it.

Today was my first time trying Indian food and i really enjoyed it. It was unique and spicy. I enjoy Mexican food so i guess thats why i enjoy Indian food. The worker was very nice and explained the dishes to me. The restaurant was very clean also. The only thing i wish was they had a more of a selection. I had the buffet and a soda for i believe $ 11.59.

I dont recommend this restaurant. I called the owner to complain that the prices he charged my credit card were significantly more than the prices listed on his menu. The owner admitted that he charged me more than the prices listed on his menu, but tried to excuse his overchage based on the fact that he did not yet have time to update his menu, nor did he want to modify his menu with stickers listing the new prices because he felt that putting stickers with the actual prices would be tacky. That is an unacceptable excuse. I simply asked the owner to charge my credit card the prices listed on the menu, and that I still wanted to leave the 20 percent tip I had left for the waitress. He promised me he would. He did not. That is the reason I believe my experience with this restaurant deserves one star.

Weve tried plenty of Indian food in the Yuba Sutter area and this one is a hit! The atmosphere is calm and relaxing. The food is even better. We ordered the shahi paneer, tikka chicken masala, garlic naan, and the samosa combo. All the the food was beautifully presented, especially the somosa combo, that thing was a gorgeous mountain of amazing flavors. Everything was delicious, the textures were spot on and the heat level was perfect. Our server was extremely kind and was very prompt. The owner even came out to greet us and ask how the food was, COMPLIMENTS TO THE CHEF. thanks for the amazing food and good hospitality. Ill be revisiting for sure. 5* all day.

Visiting some family, and thought Id look up some Indian food since I love it and there isnt really good Indian food that Ive found in Phoenix. Had to come here twice since this is probably the best Indian food Ive ever had! The cook (who I think might have been an owner or the owners son) came out and gave us samples of various things, everything here is great and he doesnt do any shortcuts, all the ingredients were high quality.If youre unsure what to get, the Chicken Saag, Chili Chicken and Butter Chicken were probably the best things I had between what I ordered and what he gave out as samples. Definitely come here if you enjoy Indian food at all and are in the area or passing through.

I found this spot that is to Yelp and they did not disappoint whatsoever! It is very clean inside the restaurant and had amazing wait staff. Vik was the chef and is a super hospitable man, he was super attentive and you can tell has a passion for what he’s doing.We ordered the tandoori shrimp, garlic naan, butter naan, chicken tiki masala, daal, saag chicken and a few other dishes. Everything was made fresh and was extremely well done. All of the dishes had plenty of protein and were paired extremely well with their rice.We will be returning for this amazing, authentic Indian food. There’s no doubt in my mind that this is the best Indian restaurant in town.

I am a pretty adventurous diner! I enjoy trying new places. I decided to try Punjab Tandoori Grill after church this last Sunday. I walked in and the aroma that filled the restaurant was intriguing. I looked over the menu to decide what I could eat. I am on the Keto diet so I have to be careful. At first I ordered the butter chicken. I was thinking that that had a high amount of fat in it and then it would be good for me to eat. I requested no rice and asked for a salad instead. The waitress went back and the owner came out and suggested I try this chicken on a bed of lettuce instead. I thought okay that sounds perfect. OMGOSH the chicken was mouthwatering, tender, and delicious! Sorry I don’t know the name of the dish but, you have to give them a try! The service is awesome too!

I was craving some Indian food so I asked google top Indian restaurants near me, and Punjab Tandoori Grill was the first to come up. After eating their food I understood why these reviews were so amazing! The service was great and the owner was kind enough to give us a sample of his signature dish, Malai Chicken and let me tell you when I took my first bite I needed to have more, so I ordered Malai Chicken to-go! I definitely recommend this place and I will definitely be back!

This was mine and my husbands first time ordering indian food. Their menu made it easy to order and the food was delicious. We had our food made spicy and it was so bomb and filling. We even had left overs. Not only that but they are pretty good at making orders in a timely fashion when we went. We were very pleased. This review doesnt cover the dining experience due to the covid problem. However their dining area is quite nice.

Best Punjabi food all around. I come from Sacramento twice a week to come eat here along with a bunch of others. Fish pakora and the Malai chicken is a must along with pretty much every other item. Im a restaurant owner myself and own about 6 of them so take my word on it.
