The truth is, nothing out of this world without flavor and I bought some plantains that tasted stale and expensive. I dont recommend this place.

I ordered take out by calling ahead on the phone. Whoever took my order spoke perfect English. Someone on Google Maps posted pictures of their menu. This was helpful because the link to their web site does not appear to work, and those pictures are what I used to order (thank you whoever did that). I ordered Pupusas de Queso and Platanos Fritos con Frijoles y Crema Salvadorena. The Pupusa was perfect, the tortilla dough was cooked through, the cheese inside was delectably melted, some spots around the pupusa were darker than others, some cheese had oozed out of the dough and crisped up. Overall the pupusa was not greasy and it was not dry, it was simply delicious and precisely what I expected. Whoever is making them in the back, has the touch and is supremely skilled. I dont put salsa on my pupusas so I asked the server to take it back, so she offered more curtido instead to take home with me and I accepted. The curtido is also perfect, BUT it is spicy hot. I prefer my curtido with lots of flavor (oregano) and no heat, however despite the heat, I could definitely tell that if the hot sauce or whatever spice they added to it to make it hot were removed, the cabbage, the carrots, the pickling juice, the spices and oregano would absolutely shine through and land on the palate crisp, clean, healthy, and very tasty. Its a shame most restaurants now are cloaking their wonderful creations in a gallon of hot sauce for no other reason than they think this is what people want (more spicy). Anyway, nothing a little crema or milk afterwards couldnt douse. Their curtido is excellent, just beware of the heat. The platanos LOOKED greasy and overdone, but then I took a bite and had a flashback to my childhood. What happened here is that this restaurant has someone that is patient and knows exactly when the platano maduro should be fried (just like my Mother). Flor Blancas platanos were not greasy or overdone, they were absolutely perfect. The dark color was all from caramelization, that is, the result of frying a very ripe platano at its peak of sweetness and deliciousness. All that God supplied sugar browning up under intense heat. It was a bite to behold, almost like eating candy but a 1000 times better for you and your soul. I dipped my platano in my crema, the way youre supposed to do and the bite just got better. It was amazing. Then I nibbled on the frijoles and went WOW. I make refried beans all the time, so I am the worst critic of this food. Flor Blancas refried beans are divine. Theres this very subtle hint of a green pepper flavor to them, not sure if it is Jalapeno or Serrano, but theres no heat just FLAVOR. How they pull that off is beyond me. I savored the silky smoothness, perfect texture, not too dry, not too wet, just right. Theres also no hint (or aftertaste at least) of fats in these beans (refried beans by definition contain a fat (lard, butter, or vegetable oil to refry them in). The texture and the smoothness are the result of this ingredient, but it takes a special and disciplined individual to know precisely how much to use to pull off the masterpiece refried beans I had tonight. I gave Flor Blanca five stars because they deserve them. Theyre expert craftswomen who get the basics right, period. Based on this experience, Im willing to come back and try some of their other dishes. I just need to remember to bring enough cash with me because they dont take credit cards.

The pupusas (2x$7.50) & ensalada ($3.50) were authentic & fresh. Our waitress had about 8 out of maybe 12 tables on a weekday before noon so service wasnt fast but was understandable.Walking distance from Wolf Lodge. Cash only but theres an ATM. Plenty of parking.

The pupusas revueltas were very good. I also had the pupusas de queso y loroco and I enjoyed them very much. They dont take credit/debit so I would bring cash beforehand. They do have an ATM inside. Very worth it.

Had dinner here on Sunday. There were about 4 tables occupied. Our waitresses were lovely ladies, but the service was very slow, and here’s why. The servers are doing so many tasks on top of serving the customers. They are greeting, handing menus, cleaning the tables, attempting to help everyone, getting to-go orders ready, etc. I’m big in providing great services, so that’s why I gave it 4 stars. Not their fault, but they need more people to run the restaurant properly.I ordered a banana smoothie which was too sweet, but I still enjoyed it since it blended with the food.We ordered a chicken soup which was very delicious and fresh. We also ordered 4 pupusas revueltas, and they were also yummy. We also had an order of Plátanos con frijoles y crema. I probably liked that the most.Food did take a while to come out, even though the restaurant wasn’t as full. So be patient.

The pictures don’t even do it justice. We got pupusas. I got just bean pupusas but adding the cabbage and sauce on it helps to make it more flavorful. But they are SO soft and SOOOO GOOD. Best pupusas I have ever tasted.

The food was ok. I feel like the pupusa was on the raw side, and they can use better customer service

UPDATED REVIEW ***There is no longer a buffet! Its a regular dine-in Salvadoran restaurant now, EXCEPT* It is now overpriced. Sign of the times I suppose. I would go elsewhere to be honest. So sad. The buffet was the only thing that differentiated them from other spots. RIP
