Such a cool vibe here! Great location... AMAZING beer! We tried quite a few selections... My favorites were definitely the Fingers of Gold which is their version of a hazy IPA and their Milagro which was a stout. Definitely coming back on our next trip to SD...

My wife and I stopped in for some local craft beer and we couldnt be more pleased. The staff was very welcoming and helpful (shout out to Lauren and Shayna!) It was hard to pick a favorite as everything that we tried was excellent. Well be back!!

Amazing spot to grab a drink - beer, nonalcoholic beer (🥰), sodas, and cold brew! Plus they have some small snacks for purchase. Many great nooks and crannies to relax and enjoy your drinks. Patio seating, bar, long tables, and cozy 2-4 tops. TV in one section for those who want to watch sports. Pet friendly.

Wonderful experience for our first time there! They are located right off the train exit so if you wanted to you can stop by the station and grab yourself a great beer and just hang out for a little! They allow dogs within the area and they also have a great outdoor patio. Their menu was excellent and the gentleman that helped us gave us some testers to try. I would definitely come back for sure!

Nice place to hang out with some friends and try some beers. I think there should be a beer for everyone here! We liked what we tried, staff were really friendly and had great knowledge about the beers (the guy and gal in the photo behind the bar). They had some good outdoor space with fire table and good seating.Would swing by again if in town.

LOVE this place. The slushy beer is delicious! As are all of the stouts and sours. They have an interesting take on ipa beers, calling them “murky”, not hazy. It’s a great distinction, because hazy beers are more sweet and tropical tasting, while their beers are more direct hop forward flavors and less sweetness. It’s a taste adventure, any way you like it.

Great brewery! Been coming here for years since the start of the pandemic and really enjoy their beers. Bartenders are super cool and friendly.Great location, especially if you have kids since there is a ice cream shop right next door so the kids can grab some ice cream while you enjoy some beers. IPAs are solid and the stouts were good as well. Prices here are reasonable and pretty standard. They do offer flights which can be combined, meaning if you get 2 tasters at one order and decided to get more later, there are discounts as long as you complete a flight total, which I thought was pretty cool.I usually swing by Pure Project when heading over to San Diego (from Los Angeles) and it never disappoints.

Wow! After having hit some of my favorite beer pubs on this trip, and giving them 5 stars, I need 6 stars for this place. We stopped in right before closing and got a flight. Really enjoyed it but you know it was a little rushed. So went back the next day, and of course got a nother flight and left with a 4 pack and a crowler! Rotating beers of their own creations. Have you ever had a beer smoothie? I highly recommend it. High quality ingredients. Dog friendly. No food but you can bring in your own.

Although they do not have many non IPA choices, their citrus blonde and nitro stouts were very nice. The citrus blonde had a light Sunkist orange soda hint to it, its not bitter at all which is good! Love their nitro stouts with Costa Rica coffee in it, felt like I was drinking a nice coffee drink. As compared to Abnormal Brewery coffee stouts, this one tastes more like a beer 🍻

Pit stopped on our way to San Diego on a friend recommendation. Wasnt disappointed! Their brews immediately catch your interest first by name and then by description.We had a flight of 5 in the cutest glasses and coolest board. Left to right: Rain, Patience of Nature, Pure Passion, Saison DSabio, Tao. They presented light and flavorful, a perfect representation of beachy, sunny Carlsbad. Rain left a buttery finish. Patience of Nature doesnt have the traditional kombucha vinegary bite but is dangerously an easy drink. Pure Passion is a hazy IPA without the OJ. Saison DSabio embodies summer with its sunshine color, grassy meadow smell & bright, slight tartness. Tao is a light red & bubbly; a perfect summer sub for wine lovers.Food is also available for purchase Wed-Sun from varying vendors. We were able to sample the Monkey Fries from El Puerto Burgers. The fries in itself could have used some salt but the toppings were a nice addition; grilled onions, minced carne asada, lime crema, pickled ginger.

This place is great to just sit down, relax, and enjoy some really good craft beers. They’ll fill up a growler if you have one and they also do flights so you can try a bunch of different beers and pick your favorite. The environment is what’s going to keep me coming back, just super chill and relaxing.

This part of the village is quickly becoming one of my favorite spots! If you are a local or in town visiting stop in and chat it up with the very friendly and super knowledgeable staff. The outdoor/indoor setting is super fun, clean, and dog friendly (however I really wish people would start thinking twice about brining dogs out to businesses who are not well behaved/trained...this can ruin it for those of us who have spent time and money training our pups). I have heard they often have food trucks but when I was there they did not. They also have super nice merchandise as well....and yes the beers to go are expensive but well worth the splurge.

Love, love, love this place. They do a great job with their murky IPAs. It is not uncommon to see a quad or even a quintuple IPA here. They also have traditional ales, West coast IPAs, barrel aged beers, fruit forward beers, smoothie style beers, collaborations with Handels next door... Oh and One of my favorites, Belgians!Weekly new releases (yes, weekly!) keeps things fresh.

They know all the beers (of course) but also where ingredients were sourced, history of the beers/brewery, flavor profiles, the neighborhood, all the things. I went to the original Pure Project in 2016 so it is awesome to be able to come to this one and see how far they have come. It was amazing back in 2016 and it’s even better now. Amazing facility and their beers are fantastic. Lauren helped us out tonight and was so knowledgeable about all the beers. She really helped us find beers that suited us. She made a visit to an amazing brewery even better.

The beers here are a total WoW...The Murky Quad IPA, Mountains Are Calling 13.0% ABV is an exceptional beer, might easily be the best beer in all of Southern California...And the Smoothie Blueberry/Mango Sour Perezoso (Lazy) 6.0% ABV is also quite exceptional, pure delicious, seriously like a smoothie and not too sour at all...plus, the Murky DIPA Petrified 8.3% ABV is also an extremely finely crafted brew as well...If you have yet to discover this creative and innovative local craft brewery, find you way there to Pure Project in Carlsbad asap (right next to the Carlsbad Coaster Train Stop)...Namaste ~ Bodhi

I take the Coaster to/from Carlsbad Village Station, and Pure is happily located next to the station. They have great beer, like I imagine Julius Caesar would drink when crossing the Danube. The people at Pure are all super charming and magnificent and excellent and amazing! Indeed, I am old and ugly and unimportant and theyre still very nice to me! Shayna, Kylie, Lauren, Remy, Tom, Jessie, and everyone else -- OMNES SUPERIORES. Anyhow, after a few beers I look around the room and I always have the distinct impression that Im on The Muppet Show. Splendid time guaranteed.

Collin helped us out, and was one of the friendliest, kindest, most generous & helpful customer service workers I’ve ever experienced. Stopped here on our way from SD to LA, and Im so glad we did. Despite it being a very busy spot on a Saturday afternoon, all the staff was super welcoming and friendly. They made great recommendations based on our tastes and even remembered our names each time we came up. Its the little things that take it from a good to great experience.As for the beer, there are really good west coast takes on hazy IPAs, and the saisons were so refreshing. I must have brought 20 cans in my suitcase back to Canada. Highly recommend sitting here on the patio on a sunny day.

My wife, dog and I were driving from San Diego to Los Angeles, and chose this place solely because they were convenient, open later than other breweries on a Saturday night, and dog friendly. We made a great choice. The beer was good and there was a variety, although the server did admit they were a bit IPA heavy at the time. My wife, not being a beer guru, appreciated the way the beers were arranged on the menu board. The place was quite open and airy, sort of the way you might imagine a bar in Costa Rica, which is where the idea of Pure Project germinated. The staff was very friendly, taking time to talk to you, and were very accommodating. They do not sell food (beyond some basic snackage), but welcomed outside food (there are many restaurants in the neighborhood). My wife and I agreed wed definitely return to this place!

First of all, you walk up to an amazing location right at the train station where you will be watching the trains zoom by. Great atmosphere and welcoming staff!. This space is laid out with an open natural flow. Sitting around the fire or soaking up some vitamin D is easy. I sat at the bar with the giant window (garage door) facing the tracks. Great people watching and the hum of village activity keeps you entertained. Music was perfect for a Sunday afternoon at the right volume. So, now youre in the place. Back to the bar! Excellent beer selection includes plenty of varieties. I remember a pilsner, A West coast IPA, Imperial coffee something, a sour, etc! I got the taster and the nice helpful beertender dude hooked it up. Oh yeah! This really tasty BEER SLURPIE made with orange cream and something from Handels was mmm mmgood!! You gotta buy a taco, but hey thats never a problem! In fact, its a great way to create business growth. Plus, it was mighty tasty. I got the nachos, which were generous! That was from El Puerto taco shop next to the Golden Tee. They have a little tent here, smells good and keeps drunk people fed. Haha The servers are fantastic, patient and chill. Not sure why the one hostess was talking so loudly but she was really friendly, so...Now the teenagers have set up skateboard film school in the parking lot, nice tricks bro! Awesome day, AWESOME PLACE! Will come back often and tell all my friends. Yall look good here in the Village. Pure Project rocks!
