Nice little place with parking in back (I went on a Sunday so found parking in front since theyre not metered). Great lomo saltado. That green sauce is some kind of magic.A bit of a challenge with ordering, but thanks to the wait staff using translate apps on her phone, we got through it.

Love, love, love this place. I ordered the pariuela the first time I came and have every time since—it’s that good. I feel like I’m in the Peruvian countryside here. No bling, just authentic home cooked flavor—like the name says.

The food is very tasty but the service wasnt great. When we walked in, the hostess was talking on her cell phone and didnt know any English. We sat wherever we wanted, and had to wait for someone who knew English to take our order. We were the only people in the restaurant and after we placed our order, we waited at least 10 minutes just to get a cup of water. Once we got our orders, the waitress did not check on us at all. When we were done with our food, we sat for a while waiting for someone to approach us to give us our check but no one did. I went to the front desk and was approached by the same woman who didnt know English so again we had to wait for her to call someone who knew English. I would give this place 5 stars if the service was better.

Waste of time and money! I ordered food an hour and a half in advance so I could just swing by and pick it up. When I got there, they told me they were out of the item I ordered. I asked them why they didn’t call to tell me prior to me picking it up. They spoke no English and had me speak with some random person on the phone who didn’t even work at the restaurant to translate. They told me they could refund me but I just wanted food so I ordered another thing on the menu. I ended up waiting for another 20 minutes while they prepared it. I wasted my entire lunch break and they didn’t even offer to comp my meal. The yuca fries were cold by the time I got to eat them and the tamale was not good. They didn’t even apologize. I do not recommend going here.

Puro Sabor Peruvian Restaurant is a charming home-style restaurant with excellent service, delicious food and great pandemic safety precautions.Metered parking. Uncrowded. The dining room and the facilities smell like soap.On my last visit I ordered a comforting bowl of chicken soup and a traditional Peruvian chicken tamale.The tamale has a soft texture, all white meat chicken and a rich saffron flavor. My chicken soup was savory, fresh and decadent.I enjoyed the view of the busy street outside the restaurant. Highly recommended!

When I first saw our food I thought this is not going to fill me up, there is not enough meat...I was very very wrong. I devoured my food, I was so full but it was so good I couldn’t stop. Yup totally wrong about it. My Hubble got the special limo saltado with shrimp beef and chicken. Holy moly it was delish!! Sorry no pics it was that good.

Beautiful place, clean and excellent service. The menus are under the glass that protects the table so no need to touch anything. We had causa, ceviche and chaufa rice. All in big portions and very delicious. Really nice place

Average restaurant, verypricey/overpriced, lacking some flavor, yet the portion is decent and the staff is courteous.... But the Peruvian seasoning is below average, huge menu, but average taste, definitely not authentic Peruvian, I mean, who eats frozen and processed Yuca a la Huancaína, with Yuca that looks and tastes like mozzarella sticks??I mean come on people!!!!!There are two other Peruvian Restaurants up the block, definitely a huge difference, in quality and in taste.Definitely this place has potential BUT needs improvement!!Cheers!!A concerned tourist.

Nothing really especial. Just ordinary Overpriced home made food.Service is not that good. No pictures on the menu,the worst part is that even if the plate sounds good and when they serve it its something completly than what you would expect. I ordered Picante de camarones (Nasty) it said it had a creamy spicy sauce, but that was more like mac and chease with shrimps. If it looks or taste gross, you must pay it no matter what, they dont go the extra mile for you to have a great experience.

Great service but what the hell happened to their food. Lomo saltado is bad now maybe they changed the cook. The rice comes broken cooked kinda like Vietnamese style... and it looks off white and this is due to it was done not correctly... meat is good but the potatoes were so soggy that it was just like mashed potatoes (well might as well) it was too over cooked that happens when you keep the fries too long during cooking... it no longer maintains it firmness.Oh my gosh I can keep going but Id rather come back and find a great surprise that it got improved because I really want to edit my post as this placeused to be good.

I ordered a lomo saltado which was terrible, 5 pieces on meat, the french fries were cold just like the rice and the portion was very small. I like to say I like to give them another chance, but first impressions are the most important ones, so is very doubtful I will be coming back if I am ever in the area, there are other options for peruvian food.

I would have given Puro Sabor 2 or 3 stars if not for their delicious ceviche. Their ceviche mixto has tons of seafood and the mouth-puckering leche de tigre that they use is quite amazing. I am wiping the drool off my face as I fantasize about eating this dish again.The ceviche is served with tons of red onion, boiled yucca and yam, and corn. Its definitely very traditional and authentic Peruvian ceviche. Definitely one of the best Ive ever had. The dish will run you about $15 though.Their lomo saltado is, however, a little disappointing. The meat was a little dry and the dish was quite expensive for the portion. The flavor was okay but I wouldnt order it again.The restaurant is usually pretty quiet. The service was good. They give you bread with butter and a very spicy dipping sauce with your meal. Be careful with putting too much of that sauce since it packs quite a punch.

I was told by a friend at work who lives in the area that Puro Sabor is one of the best Peruvian places in town. I have been to Intis, Marios, Don Felix, Con Sabor a Peru and Natalee Peruvian. I would say that their Ceviche Mixto is Excellent, Plantains are less oily than everyone elses and just as delicious, and the Saltado de Pollo is on par or better than the others. The service was great, and the place was very clean, also theres live music as well. I wish they had Pollo Entero a la Plancha, but I think they concentrate on home made recipes using Beef more. The green sauce was good too although my favorite is at Con Sabor a Peru. I will go and recommend to everyone in the hood.

Frequent customers to this day! We ordered chicken and stir-fried tenderloin, and at the last moment a dessert, it was to take away when after having ordered by phone beforehand we have to wait almost an hour because it was not ready! My husband is going to pay and they tell him that 55 dollars! He goes to the car and checks the bill and does not understand the payment of 5.99 and 8.99 extra, he assumes that 5.99 is the dessert and returns for the 8.99 charge and they tell him that 8.99 is the dessert no bigger than the palm of my hand ( I would have bought a complete cake) and that 5.99 for the inca cola when you have always bought the chicken with the inca cola included the funny thing is that between one worker and the other they did not agree and one told the other that I dont know He charged for the soda and the other said that if in front of the client, this cannot be allowed, that if they want to charge you what they think to balance the box on the day! If it is a family business, it should not be run as such, too bad for them because they not only lost us as customers but also many friends who went there and who showed solidarity with us.
