I loved it. The dessert sesame paste filled buns are amazzzzing.I would only suggest they ask you first if you want ice in your drink, because its brought with ice by default (like anywhere else here 🙄) and it would be nice to remind you that they could make it withouht it.

Grateful and impressed! We arrived at 11:05 and they weren’t quite open because the owners were caught in traffic. Despite this they let us in and got us water and menus right away. The menu is great because it has attractive and honest pictures for my grandma to see what she would get. The food was out in 20 minutes or less and hot. You may want to order online in advance because within 10 minutes after opening they were packed with online pickup customers and that made getting extra sauce and desert take a little longer. Otherwise everything was tasty clean and pleasant.

Delicious food, feels really homely. I recommend the mapo tofu bowl. Clean restaurant and nice atmosphere. Thoughtful service, as the server noticed we only ordered vegetarian food and didn’t serve the sauce with the dumplings because it contained seafood and instead recommended the soy sauce.Convenient parking.

Got the pork belly steam buns and the pork bao.The steam buns could have been good if they weren’t so dry and sauceless, and if the portion of filling per bun wasn’t so meager that it felt mostly like eating just a bun.The bao were not like bao I have had before, where it’s kinda fluffy. They just seemed like regular boiled dumplings to me, though I understand there are regional differences so maybe it’s that? They were ok, but at 15 dollars for 8 one-biters, I won’t be buying them again.I tried this place cause it’s near my house and was hoping to like it. Sad to say I probably won’t return.

What I had: Beef Noodle Soup, Pork XLB.Soup: I liked the beef in the soup, though a little different than what Im used to. The broth was generic and not quite traditional, but still tasted fine. The noodles were too soft, cheap, and bad. Overall, I would never order again.XLB: Overall, these were good, but could stand to be a couple bucks cheaper. These are great if you are living in the area and not wanting to drive out elsewhere. I enjoyed the chili oil dipping sauce they came out with.This place aint bad, judging from what I had. What I do worry about, is the places cleanliness. My table was sticky and rough in some spots, despite their clean appearance. Their floor is not what I would call clean. The trash can by the hand wash station was full, even though it was only a little past 11:00 A.M. They dont seem to have good opening and closing procedures. I wonder if any more corners are being cut in the kitchen.

After walking around all day in LA we wanted something quick to eat. Saw this place in passing and when we went in we were the only ones there. We ordered noodles fried rice dumplings chicken and a couple other dishes. The NOODLES! I still dream of them they were amazing. Perfect thickness and they definitely used sesame sauce on it. Overall great food great prices and generous servingsAnytime I go back to LA I’ll make sure to stop here

Only ordered three things from this place, siu mai, popcorn shrimp, and cucumber salad. We thought we ordered Dan Dan noodles but it never came.First of, the interior of the restaurant is actually nice, albeit the condiment section on the table was a little dirty.Second, the service is just average. Nothing to write home about.Third, the flavors of the dishes were underwhelming. Now Ive had many siu mai from around the world and I have to say this is the blandest one Ive ever had in my life. Even the cucumber salad, which I always order if I see it on a Chinese restaurant menu, was meh. The popcorn shrimp tasted life it was store-bought (the texture of the breading was off, like it was undercooked).The Chinese tea served is cheap and an affront to Chinese tea culture.I do think this restaurant has a lot of potential, seeing as its mother company is a famous restaurant chain in China. I think, the flavors were toned down for the intended market in the area.

The food was great and I really enjoyed it all. It’s nice to see a place that has a special, like free red bean buns for dessert or a 13oz Thai tea. I really enjoyed it. The Singapore noodles were really good, and the pork xiao long was amazing as well. Scallion pancakes were alright but I would get again. Def coming back. Staff was very friendly.

The place looks really nice with the lights and bright atmosphere. My only complaints were that the water cups had a oily smell to them, and I wish they would give you a small plate for the intended sauces. The food was good, (dumplings had a nice dough), and the tofu spicy dish was great. It was a rainy night out and the atmosphere was just right thank you Qi Steam Kitchen.

Delicious, authentic buns and other foods! We ordered pork xiao long bao, chicken xiao long bao, siu mai, crystal shrimp dumplings, Hong Kong bbq buns, and pork belly buns. Collectively we liked the pork and chicken xiao long bao the most, but they were all great. Two of our vegetarian friends also ordered and highly recommend the spinach buns and the mapo tofu bowl!

Food was good. Especially the noodles. My only suggestion or recommendation for this place would be to order ahead. I went on a Saturday afternoon and absolutely no one was eating inside but I saw many pick up orders. Also it took about 15 minutes for my food since I did not order ahead bc I was just in the neighborhood and wanted something to eat and decided to try this place

Pretty solid dumpling joint but nothing amazing. For me, the spicing is a bit bland across all items Ive tried (dipping sauces included). Parking can be a bit tight, they have a few table outside for dining in. Worth a try if in area and you have a craving.

I enjoyed this restaurant and will be happy to return. Came here with my mom on a chilly day for some soup. We had chicken wonton soup, spring rolls, and cucumber salad. Everything tasted great and portions were just right. Service is polite and friendly. I hope to come back when I have an opportunity and would recommend this place.

We came to eat here a few days ago. The restaurant is clean and the staff is very friendly. We got xlb which were SO good! Im used to NYC Xiao long baos, which are a bit larger than these but compared to ding tai Fung, theyre a good size. The soup inside was delicious! We also got the shui Mai and bbq pork baos - both very tasty. I ordered a wonton noodle soup to go, and the menu showed egg noodles and Gai lan. However when I got home it was bok choy and lo mein noodles. Also the broth was not very good, full of seaweed with no resemblance of Cantonese wonton soup (which is what I expected). The wontons themselves were good, but I could not eat the broth. So instead I used the noodles to make cold sesame noodles.. so nothing else went to waste. Id definitely come back here and recommend to a friend with 2 caveats.. dont order the wonton soup and its definitely pricey for dumplings. The shui Mai was almost $14. For all 4 items we paid over $60 with tax and tip. Overall, we enjoyed our experience!

A lovely new place that excels in all areas. Youre instantly immersed in a clean, modern ambiance and greeted by ardent hosts. Im big on simple menus with each dish being exemplary which this restaurant really comes through on. A personal favorite is the Szechuan style chicken with chili sauce, you wont regret it. Its not the busiest place as of now, but I can definitely see it growing into a local hotspot. Oh, and best of all are the low prices for the quality youre getting. DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED!

This is some of the best Chinese food I’ve ever had! Not too salty, fresh and delicious. Lightly oiled and somehow healthy in spite of being fried! (The Taiwanese popcorn chicken and Singapore fried rice noodles w/ shrimp were both 🔥). Delivery through the restaurant was free also. Huge portions- a couple meals-worth. Will be reordering 💯

Often, I feel a little meh after eating dim sum. Sure, it tastes great, but usually I feel greasy or icky-feeling afterwards. BUT something about the dim sum at Qi is different! The quality of the ingredients here feels higher, and it doesn’t have that wash-me-down-with-green-tea greasy feeling. Everything tasted AMAZING and clean (and if you want to know what our party ordered for easy recs, get: pork and chicken XLBs, fish dumplings, crystal shrimp dumplings, shrimp and pork Siu mai, pan fried pork baos, Beijing beef burrito, popcorn chicken, and any of the veggies for some greens).

On my first visit, had the won ton noodle soup and sesame buns - all delicious and fresh.I also ordered Lion’s Head meatballs (a rarity) to go but it really didn’t hold up to one’s I’ve had in SGV places. Was pretty average taste and texture. Probably would have been better fresh.Third time here, we had dumplings, scallion pancakes and beef rolls. Somewhat a mixed bag again. Dumplings were good but the pancake was really overly fried and hard, with almost no taste. This also affects the beef rolls, which is basically wrapped in the same pancakeOverall still, this is a good little hidden gem of authentic Chinese food in the Mid City area and I’d come back again to try more food, mostly dumplings and noodle dishes.

Went to check it out because I love steamed dumplings. Well, Ive been back twice already. Been happy with every meal from the steam kitchen. I keep ordering too many items, but I obviousness cant help myself. I wonder what Ill try next time, but I will always get at least one staple dumpling. The people are real nice as well. Got this for takeout and it definitely exceeded my expectations! The prices are much more worth it as their qualities are GREAT! I absolutely love their beef burrito. Its crispy, savory, and actually very filling. This place had the misfortune of opening right before covid and not being able to develop the following that it deserves. This is some of the best food I have had in quite a while, and its better than any comparable restaurant that makes this type of cuisine I can think of-- looking at you, din tai fung-- so do yourself a favor and get yourself some takeout from Qi Steam Kitchen pronto. This is definitely going to be a staple for us now that they have reopened and I wish them so much success in the future, if only selfishly because it means I can keep having these amazing dumplings.

This place has an interesting menu because if offers dishes that arent typical of the usual Chinese takeout restaurant. Not too many non-Sichuan Chinese restaurants offer Dan Dan Noodles or Mapo Tofu and the fact that this place does so is a big plus for me. Tried the Dan Dan Noodles and they were solid. Will go back for their Mapo Tofu and the Xiao long bao.

Walk in no greeting or anything just a stare then after a few minutes with hate in her eyes she asks am i picking up. I very friendly say, Hi! How are you today? Which she failed to do. I have never been here nor seen this girl in my life. She definitely needs customer service training. Business owners be very keen who you have on your front lines these days.
