2023-08-05 04:13:21This place was packed on a Thursday night! We made a reservation and were seated quickly. We ordered some great guacamole as an appetizer. Most of us got tacos as an entree. I didn’t enjoy mine very much, it was more lettuce than meat. The beans and rice were good, though. My friend got shrimp enchiladas and loved them so I may try that dish if I go back. The chocolate flan was excellent. It was very noisy in the restaurant and the people at the table next to us were yelling and speaking loudly so it wasn’t the best experience. Nice decor and the service was excellent. I’ll try it again and choose something different.

2023-07-12 02:17:26Mexican restaurant with a large menu of different dishes. Their salsas are amazing. I would come here just for their chips and salsa.Enchiladas al sol ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️: comes with 1 mole and 1 guajillo. The mole was rich and had a nice nutty flavor. The guajillo was super creamy and you can def taste the pepper but it wasnt too spicy which is great for those who max out at medium spice.

2022-07-25 20:41:28We went here for Friday dinner. The ambience is great and vibe is lively . We had to wait for around 30 minutes for a table.Server staff is great and friendly. The food on the other hand is mediocre, it’s Tex mex not authentic Mexican food. Cheese in everything. They give complimentary chips and salsa. Salsa is creamy liquid like not chunky. The only option of fish tacos you have is $25 entree under “specials” and not anything less than that. Not worth the price in my opinion. For a combo of $19 the tacos they serve has only meat options which is interesting that obvious choice in taco is not fish.It seems like this is great place if you want to grab cocktails/drinks with some light appetizers.

2023-08-25 19:57:54Our group of 4 had a wonderful time sitting outside on a warm Summer evening here! The food is delicious, clearly made with care and attention, although my shrimp cocktail has changed a bit and not for the better... It was still very good. We devoured the nachos, as well as our dinners, but had to take food home, the portions are quite large. Service was professional, kind, and with a lovely sense of humor - what a fun night!

2022-11-09 18:39:16After years of walking past Quinto Sol we finally visited, and we will definitely be back. Its pricey, but the food and service were excellent.I had the mushrooms-with-chilis. It was absolutely superb, but note that it is heavy, with a very rich cream-based sauce. My wife had the fish tacos, which were very good, with large chunks of fish, although I honestly dont think they were worth $27...She had the spicy margarita modified to be only half as spicy, since shes sensitive. It was really, really good, with a complexity of flavor that is rare in a margarita. I had a mescal, which was served in a traditional gourd cup and was delicious.I definitely recommend Quinto Sol, for a special night out.

2023-12-08 17:40:19The margaritas are amazing. Chips and salsa are good and a great starter. I had the camarones al cilantro which was very good. The dining atmosphere was nice and had a live saxophone player.

2022-09-10 05:05:44We came here after work, 600pm, for HH and dinner today. I couldnt decide between the camarones but finally went with the camarones al cilantro from the Google pictures/reviews. I paired it with the anejo tequila flight cuz Ive been wanting to try the La Familia. The camarones al cilantro was very good but short on wow factor, barely grazing a 4.5/5 overall for platter. As for the price, I would have to agree with some reviews as being pricey for what you get. Guacamole seemed fresh and good, 4/5.The coctel camarones was delicious and fresh, 4.5/5. All items we had were quite good but seemed to be over price for the food. The drinks, margarita, Hendricks Tom Collins, and anejo flights were very reasonable. Our server, Godinez, provided 5/5 service.Overall, 4.5/5.

2023-01-28 19:25:52My friends and i couldnt make up our minds so we decided to try something new. Originally we were going to go to milagros but was recommended here by a teacher so I said why not. The seating was fairly quickly since they had just opened. The person who gave us our water and chips didnt welcome us but our waiter was really nice. She was attentive I did notice they both were always checking in on us. Maybe they needed the table or looking to see if we needed anything else. I got a shrimp cream a recommendation by the waiter and my other two friends got chiles con crema and camarones a la diabla I got a bit of both the food wasnt so great. I love cooking and this was bland not much flavor. My plate had 8 shrimps in total with basic traditional black beans and rice. They offered tortillas but I declined. The first alcohol drink I got was paloma and wasnt a big fan. After that I ordered margarita on the rocks. It was better than the original one. Over all we gave them a good tip for the service. Flan desert was ok. I wouldnt come here again glad I gave it a try tho at least I can say Ive been there and not a big fan.

2023-04-22 18:32:22Food is fair but doesn’t matter - you are here for the Margarita, which is amazing! The place is in a historical building and it is pretty and cool.

2022-10-16 02:51:00This place is unbearably mediocre. The service isn’t very attentive, the food isn’t very good, and the prices are ridiculous. The chips aren’t very salty and aren’t as good as Chipotle’s across the street. The salsas are like soup. The rice is incredibly bland and not worth eating. The mole has a complex flavor but not one that makes you want more of it. The pork in the enchiladas is tough and in huge chunks that are hard to eat. And for this middling quality, no stand out dish meal, it’s $50 a person without apps or desserts! This is why people hate the Bay Area. Save yourself the underwhelm and go get some actually good Mexican at Milagros instead.
