This one is going down in my personal favorites list. You can taste the time they invest into their broth and noodles. So tasty, and rich with flavors. My Girlfriend and I got a late lunch here. We had the Chicken Karaage, LA Tan Tan and Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen! We’re coming back for sure.

For dinner I had the curry with a side of chicken karaage. The curry plate was good. It had the right amount of spices and consistency. The chicken was good too, but the drizzled sauce on top dampened the crispness of the chicken that I was looking forward to. Overall I would recommend and go again.

We got there when it was busy but our food and appetizers were served around 10 quick minutes after ordering, and service was very friendly. It looked small but we had plenty of elbow room without bumping into anyone. A nice place to eat, especially on a rainy day! We had a window view, and it was really enjoyable. I definitely recommend!

My boyfriend and I found this little ramen place in a mall in Glendale and we were pleasantly surprised on how good it was. The ramen was so good. Little spot in Glendale that I highly recommend for anyone that have ramen craving.

Ordered take out of two soups and added oil on the side. When I received the order, the staff was nice and friendly. As soon as I got home, I noticed the oil was not secured and spilled all over the bag. When I called the restaurant back notifying them to secure the side cups better, the staff just said okay. They did not label the different soups. The food tasted great and I have no complaints there.

My goto place for Ramen. My favourite was the Tonkotsu with the pork belly. It was so good - the pork belly just melt in your mouth and it doesnt have that pork smells. If you are a pork lover, you will know what I meant. The gyoza was awesome too and it was so crispy on the outside. Give it a try and you will know what I meant.

Small hidden place away from the main life of Glendale. It doesn’t necessarily mean it’s not a good place to be in.Servers are very attentive and you get your order within 10 minutes. I got Tonkotsu with pork belly and I found the ramen flat. You get to add sesame, spice, and other condiments if you choose to add flavor to your preference.I might come back here to try out more of their products.

My gf and I have been on a ramen high for a bit, so far weve tried tatsu, silver lake ramen and now r101 ramen.The staff was friendly and we were seated a lot faster than the other two.The food however, was a bit of a downgrade compared to the other places we tried. The pork was dry and not buttery.The noodles were good and the broth was rich. My only complain is the the dry pork.

I just moved back to the US from 7 years in Tokyo, so I like good Ramen. This places tonkotsu ramen was 100% perfect along with their spot on gyoza. The ramen egg was cooked to perfection. And of course the bottle of Sapporo to top it off. However, I did ask a female waitress if they make their own gyoza, and she said, I dont know and walked away, welcome to LA right. But the guy waiter that helped me was great. I highly recommend this place!

Very solid ramen spot. Great flavor and not too spicy. I got the Tan Tan ramen but would probably stick with the tonkotsu next time around. It does have a small parking lot which is better than most places in Glendale. Give it a shot if you like ramen.

If you’re obsessed with truffle oil, then the soy based Truffle ramen will have you hooked. It might be a bit over-truffled for me (if that’s possible). I taste truffle and scallion. A touch overpowering but still lovely and a very good ramen otherwise. Noodles were perfect. The takoyaki was a small portion; pretty tasty crunch on the outside while still soft on the inside. I enjoyed this with a small bottle of sake in a park a few blocks down the road. Would recommend!

I cant believe I drove by this for so many years without trying it. The food is delicious and the service is really great! The flavor of the food is pretty good, the soft boiled egg is just right on the inside and the chassu is super soft and juicy. Nice setup for dinning on your own or with friends, very reminiscent of how they setup ramen shops in Japan. Probably the best ramen Ive had in Glendale!

I keep seeing people say good ramen but bad service and I somehow got the exact opposite!I got very good service, the waitress was really nice and attentive. But my dish seemed very bland. The chicken was seasonless and dry, the soup base was okay, and the noodles were just basic noodles:/ maybe I got a bad batch?Other people seem to love this place tho! Perhaps this just isnt the place for me.

Walked into this place a few months ago right before they closed and had the most amazing crispy but melt in your mouth pork belly ramen ever! Ever since than all the ramen places I have been too I have compared them to the pork belly I had here. So finally was in Glendale and stopped by for a quick bite. They were busy but they had room at the community table, ordered the garlic edamame and pork belly ramen. It was just as good as I remembered. The pork belly was just the right crispy. The broth was rish and flavorful served with the typical ramen sides. Will always go out of my way to eat here when im in Glendale.

Wonderful place for a quick delicious meal. Broth and Miso have great flavor. And who doesnt like a bowl soup/noodles on a cool evening. Staff is very accommodating, friendly and efficient. Small quaint restaurant has a few small tables with main seating at a long community table where multiple parties enjoy their meals.

This is some great ramen! I had the tonkotsu ramen and ordered an egg with it-- the broth was really rich and flavorful, and the egg was almost melty in the middle. The pork belly wasnt too fatty, it was really well balanced. The portion felt like just the right amount for me personally. Honestly one of the best ramen places Ive been to!Bear in mind, it isnt an especially large place and the parking lot is a little small, but it was definitely worth the visit. Well worth the high rating!

I have long given up on finding real Japanese quality ramen, where it doesnt feel super heavy and has profound depths of flavor. And where you can get fresh decent gyoza with it (which is not common in LA and people need to fix that). R101 delivers on both phenomenally well. I dont know what they do to that tan tan ramen (#3) but I will be back soon because that was unexpectedly fantastic. Service was attentive and very pleasant as well. And they have happy hour drink specials until 6!

Had their classic tonkatsu ramen, which had very soft pork belly and a savory broth that was so tasty I ate all of it! We also tried out their calamari appetizer, which was very crispy. It came with two sauces, one tartar sauce and the other was some kind of sweet soy sauce. Overall, really good and would definitely recommend!

Very disappointed I’m a bus driver and I grab my food on a fast pace environment, I order fried squid and a ramen soup that I specifically said I wanted medium spicy. I got opened my ordered and my soup had no spicy I can eat this no flavor I like my food with a little spicy. I called to complain and they say they can’t hear my complaint because it’s to loud in there😤

My favorite ramen in the LA area. Been coming here for years and its still just as good as as my first time. I always go for the spicy tonkotsu ramen. The broth is rich and creamy and the pork belly is tender. When dining in they serve a delicious pickled cabbage I cant get enough of. Service is always fast. When getting delivery everything is packaged properly to maintain quality when it gets to you.

Just added this to my short list of perfect ramen shops in so cal. I wish I had learned about it sooner, and I hope they expand to more locations!Its in the details. A lot of places nail a few points but very few get them all:- Tonkotsu base is the real thing. Theres no faking a proper slow simmered pork broth.- The seaweed & garlic oil and condiments are high quality type. You can taste the difference over cheaper sourced ingredients.- They dont undercook the chashu pork, or dry it out. Nice and tender- they dont overcook the noodles or the boiled egg

We went there was a waitlist to be seated. We proceeded to wait outside about 30 minutes for the host to seat two parties that had just arrived before us, even if we had been waiting there.We were seated outside in the next available table (weather about 50 degrees). Wow, what a surprise little gem! I randomly walked by this joint and stopped in for a bowl of ramen to warm me up. Great music is bumping and a cute girl shows me to my seat. My bowl of tan tan ramen came quickly and was on point! Nice spice without knocking me out and rich brown with noodles that had the perfect bite and thick slabs of pork belly. I always give them extra time to finish just to show up and wait 30+ minutes extra with no apology at all. Another customer had the same issue as me today. The ramen isn’t bad. Had the Truffle Shoyu ramen - very strong truffle taste (Id take this is a warning if youre not crazy about truffle haha, Id prefer the truffle taste to be a bit milder) with perfect noodles & nice tender slices of chicken breast.I ordered online & the website said standard wait is 15 minutes, received an order confirmation email immediately, but they do not notify you when your order is actually ready. I called in 40 minutes to check on the order status & they said its been waiting for me for a while now. Ended up getting the broth reheated.Also, they have outdoor seating, which isnt mentioned in the description on google maps.

Located in a strip mall with some parking, or parking on the street. Ive been here a few times and never had to wait too long. Part of the reason why - service is fast and the menu is short. The tonkatsu ramen has a nice rich, creamy pork broth. But the noodles are a bit heavy and the sliced pork is very fatty, which, some may like, but not me. I like a tender pork with a little fat. At least the flavor of the pork is robust and you get enough meat where you arent wondering where it went. Decor is reminiscent of a hip restaurant in Japan and kudos for having hooks for purses and jackets on the long table.

Ive tried almost every ramen spot in LA, and this place is hands-down the best. The LA tan tan broth is rich and creamy. The chasu melts in your mouth. The ramen here is amazing. We have eaten here multiple times and this place never dissapoints. My personal favorite is the Tonkotsu with additional black garlic oil. My wife loves the LA Tan Tan Men. I have also tried the Truffle ramen and it is very flavorful.As for the place, seating is communal style, with no specific tables. I had often seen many people in IG eating here so I thought Ive give it a try. The first time I couldnt find parking and I was short on time so I left. Second time I found parking in the small l parking lot and there were a few parking spaces available. Looks like a hole in the wall place from the outside, but its real nice on the inside. Im quite the stickler for ramen, having been spoiled by the likes of Tatsu and Tsujita on Sawtelle. Heck, even Little Tokyo still does not compare to Sawtelle for me. But regardless, I decided I wanted Ramen and I work in Glendale, so I figured I venture out and give this a go. It nearly compares to Tatsu, and only falls in its broth. The noodles are great, the pork may be better, and the egg is equally great. The broth though, just was lacking so severely in taste. Even with the black garlic oil (which I LOVE black garlic) was just so unassuming with literally very little flavor profile. The broth was great consistency however, being very creamy, but it just lacks the flavor punch. If they got their broth into something rich and flavorful, this place could give Tatsu a run for their money. And thats saying something as someone who is a huge Tatsu fan.

The Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen was delicious! The broth was very rich, which is what I look for in a quality, filling ramen bowl. They have a long list of add-ins, and I added mayu, menma, and red ginger. They do not skimp on their add-ins! The amount of red ginger they added was plenty to split between my bowl and my boyfriends. He also enjoyed his Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen with mayu and corn.
