It’s my first time coming to this store and I got to order two vegetarian/vegan noodles; tomato and tantan noodles! I prefer tomato based noodles because of the subtle sour and sweetness! The place is packed regardless of thanksgiving dinner time! Had a wonderful dinner with my friend! Definitely recommended! I like the Japanese restaurant vibe here!Keep up the good work and cheers

We always see the long wait list here and avoided going for the last 3-4 years. Finally decided to give it another try after 5 years as the wait was only 15 min. They definitely have a verity of “Japanese” items, so everyone with any food restrictions can be happy.Since we are not into vegan food, we skipped The Yasai menu and tried to order food from the other sections, so we ended up with Chicken Karaage, Ramen, and a sushi roll. All of them were “good”, but nothing unique nor special that’s worth 5 stars.RakiRaki roll was good with a good crunch. Original Chicken Karaage was well cooked but was missing flavor. Black Edition Ramen was surprisingly undersalted and the boiled eggs were overcooked 🥲This is a solid 4-star restaurant, but personally, I don’t believe it’s worth the wait as there are many other good restaurants around the area with much higher quality food.

One of my favorite ramen places! I recently visited home and reunited with friends and enjoyed some delicious ramen together once again like old times! 🍲 All the ramens taste so good, I can’t choose which one I like best.

I love ramen (from Korea and traveled to Japan a lot) and have tried several places in San Diego to find one that could itch the spot. I have found Izakaya Masa, Gonzo, and Menya Ultra to have the best ramen in San Diego. However, so many people told me Rakiraki was delicious and a must-visit. Unfortunately, this was not it. The ramen broth was not good and the chashu was tough. The karaage was dry and hard, not moist and crispy. Maybe it is because I had high expectations from people hyping it up, but I honestly do not get the hype and it was a terrible overpriced meal. The ambiance of the place is not great either. Very crowded (my elbow and the persons elbow sitting at another table next to me often made contact). The wait time is VERY long (for little payoff). The service also was not great since there were so many people crammed into the small area, but I could tell they were really trying (the only reason why this is not a one-star review).TLDR: Dont come here. There are better places in San Diego with similar wait times, better prices, and WAY better ramen.

Ive been in SD for 4 years now and have tried many ramen places. This is genuinely one of the best one around. Tested times and times again, theyve never failed. Their hand made, fresh, mochi noodles is their best selling point. The only down side thing is their wait time especially on weekends takes awhile (45min~1hr). If you come on the weekdays, its like 15-20mins.What I ordered:- Tonkonsu Ramen: it was really good, it was creamy and tastes so good. I added the underbelly as extra to try it out but I feel like the chasiu is just as good. If you like pork belly, the underbelly is for you. If you want something a little less fatty, the chasiu is yummy.- The karaage: I got the original but it was lowkey still spicy. I was surprised at how the spicy mayo was actually super spicy (lol). I cant tolerate spice well so I thought it was spicy but if you prefer something with a kick, Id recommend it.The vibes is great. There was music, it was a bit loud but it was comforting. The service was amazing, well attended to you, and gives you good recommendations for dishes. 5/5 for everything.

The food was okay it’s definitely some of the better ramen I’ve had in San Diego not like the ramen shop in North Park. This ramen has a lot more flavor, the sushi wasn’t bad. The restaurant is very busy on weekends I waited 30 minutes for a party of 2. The staff is very busy so to get your food is a wait. They do bring you water while you wait which is nice, the menu is very limited half of it is trying to sell you some fried chicken which I kinda didn’t like. It’s open until two am I think so that’s a plus when you want to get something to eat late night!

Came here on the suggestion of a friendly bartender and it did not disappoint.Frickin delicious. Enough said. Also feel like the prices are super reasonable. I hardly got through the bowl of ramen ($17-$22) and I can EAT 😁Service forgot about my beer and had to flag em down after the fact, but they were slammed. Things happen.Very satisfied and highly recommend.

Right off the bat, Brandon was super cool super chill, helped clarify happy hour drinks and led us in the right direction for all our choices. We got some starters jalapeno poppers, crispy veggie gyozas, furikake fries, the house rakiraki roll. All were spectacular (chefs kiss 💋) The place was full, it was definitely poppin. Then we tried THE RAMEN. 🍜🤤 I got the classic tonkatsu ramen with tofu and nori, so tasty! and my partner got the classic spicy miso, for sure spicy but yet delicious! We were both in heaven 👌❤️ Thank you so much, this place is spectacular and will definitely be back for more!!! KP❣️
