Store is very clean, stocked, and has employees who are curtious and knowledgeable. The variety of foods and ethnicities are vast, as well as their organic nutrition isle and fresh produce. Everything is fresh and well prepped, and the variety is amazing.This store is on the pricey side of most budgets, so expect to pay more for most. But remember... In this instance, you pay for what you get.If you want great, expect to pay a little more. If you dont mind mediocre and have a small budget...stick with Food 4 Less.

I showed up at 5:35 pm, early in my opinion, to buy dinner for the family. There was no fried chicken, and this is around dinner time on a Friday when they should still be try to serve customers. I drove in from out town and had to buy something else for dinner. The food and dinner was still good. I would just hope that management would help out with this and realize it still is a good time to sell dinner, the employee that helped me looked like she had a long day . I understand, but I will be back . I guess I have to purchase my dinner around 3 pm .

Raleys is more upscale store, pricey, but clean and the food smells good. They are helpful and have enough staff that people are not standing around long waiting to get items or questions answered.They carry alot of product and often have whatever I cannot find at Save Mart

Great selection and freshness in products but whatever gentleman that was working the Self Checkout aisle this evening needs to watch his words more carefully, especially dealing with the public. He was making jokes and comments with another customer who was impatient about the line saying People need to hurry and move unless you want to hang out with me all night while laughing. Very unprofessional.!Some people have certain disabilities and unable to move fast If I do return, Ill make sure to get in line!

Big disapointed on their bakery department. I was trying to get a cake but I dont even know what I was looking at, non of their desserts had descriptions I had to ask the staff what is what. Their cake decorations is hideous, it looks like childrens art. I notice that the strawberries on the fruit custard was spoiled. I expected much more from raelys considering how pricey they are. I would never buy desserts here ever again.

This is a high end grocery store, with high end prices. Their sale prices are rarely low enough to draw me. They have a god bakery and produce an array of excellent breads and other baked goods, and their produce, mostly or all organic, is beautiful. However, they are less likely than Save Mart to carry more exotic or esoteric items. They also have a substantial deli from which you can assemble any number of quick meals, including made-to-order sandwiches which are both excellent and reasonably priced. They carry such a nice array of charcuterie, cheeses and accompaniments that I always go there when I want to make a charcuterie board or a fancy appetizer spread.

The store has seen better days. The service is a hit or miss. I have seen rotting stuff on the shelves recently (see photos). At least once I was charged for something that I clearly did not purchase, which is only possible if the check-out staff want to buy something for themselves at your account: a frozen organic pizza in my case.

All of the self checkout isles were are broken except one. There were two registers open and long lines that just stood still. I usually like this store, it’s definitely the nicest place to buy groceries in town. However, with the jacked up prices you pay here the lines shouldn’t be this long.

The store has went downhill in the last couple years. Besides a few of the employees who have been here for a long time the service has gone downhill and you always seem to have to wait forever to get something from the deli.

My mom loves Raleys. I take her shopping there regularly. The selection is good and the staff is friendly and courteous. She is Japanese and likes the variety of items in the Asian section. The prices are slightly higher than Save Mart but quality and selection are a bit better.

Raleys is my go-to store when Im preparing a meal and I need the absolute best quality. I know I may pay a little bit more than I would at say, FoodMaxx or Food4Less, but Im willing to pay a little bit more when I know Im getting the best quality, the freshest and the best selection this area has to offer.

The store has many things I need including grocery, daily products, meat, fruits and vegetables, Medecine, drink, liquor, and good quality of fruits and vegetables. You can have your doctor prescription here in Raley’s, they will refill and text you when is ready to pick up. The store is clean, organized and in good location.

When I need things to put in my face hole, sometimes I go here. There is cold food, warm food, dry food, wet food, hard food, soft food, cooked food, uncooked food, and Red Bull.[UPDATE]I went here, again! My favorite salsa is mango salsa, but my wife does the weekly shopping on a day where mango salsa seems to vanish to some other timeline where it is needed more.To make a short story long, my wife is out of town, which has resulted in pushing the weekly shopping trip back by a couple of days. Now, I didnt take this into account when we were making last weeks shopping list, which left me under-supplied in salsa (and milk, but this is about salsa, not milk, so Ill have to cover that later).Uh, oh yeah. I went to Raleys and eventually found a suitable milk (sorry, I have to talk about the milk for a second, because it precedes what follows).After getting milk, I hunted for the region where salsa might be. I dont do the grocery shopping, so Im not familiar with the store layout. I found the salsa section, and good night! I couldnt believe it, but there were like FIVE tubs of mango salsa. I grabbed a couple quickly before other people realized what I found.Its so good on my eggs.

Nice, clean and easy to navigate. It is kind of expensive but the customer service is not too bad. Every aisle is clearly labeled and the store is wheel chair accessable. People of all ages come here from what I observed. I didnt get a chance to check out their bathroom but Im confident they had to be just as clean and orderly as the rest of the store.

Raleys is always a high quality shopping experience when I visit. We opted for sandwiches for dinner. When another subshop didnt come thru for us, I remembered Raleys had the deli. Im so glad they stay open later than other stores, 9pm. The clerk was very professional, friendly, and a pro at making our sandwich perfectly! We ordered the Dagwood. Wow! Lots of fresh veggies, ham, turkey, roast beef, and bacon. We have leftovers! If you want a good sandwich, go see Daniel. 👍

I have always had a great experience coming here! Yes they are a little but more pricey then the other supermarkets in town but thier customer service makes up for it! The bakery section is amazing and theres never any long line for any if the registers. Its a great spot if you also need a quick meal to put in the oven or for the late night munchies. The only issue Ive ever had was with the pharmacy department. Sometimes the staff isnt so friendly over there and have given me the wrong medication 😅

Shopped here for 3 months. No real seafood section and a shadow deli, they move things too much, and too expensive considering the mediocre everything. What amazes me the most is that there is no real American cheese. At the deli they just give out of the prepackaged oil slices which is ridiculous. All in all, not impressed with the grocery chain, however, the Merced location has great customer service with very friendly workers.

My son and I came into Raleys on a hunch after being turned away from 4 major florists in Merced. They had the out of season flower he was looking for, ( sunflowers in January lol ) the bouquet that was taylormade, was stunning and fresh . Thank you Raleys

My only complaint is that the check out is pretty slow. Only been there 2x, we visiting from Arizona, but both times I stood in line forever. And there would only be 2 people in front of me with not very many items.

This is a grocery store that I frequent because they have wonderful produce and a wide variety of different Indian food as well as a wonderful Bakery and Deli. They also carry some of the Beyond beef products that I absolutely love and which are hard to find at other stores. I also love that they carry canned crab meat which I also have difficulty finding. Today, while at the self-checkout, I was having difficulty ringing up a bag of grapes and made a mistake. I needed assistance so I approached Janice, who was having a (flortatious) personal conversation with a fireman. She glanced in my direction and returned to her conversation with the firemen. I waited another twenty or thirty seconds before the tall dark-haired gentleman with the nice smile asked if I needed assistance. He came over and helped get me situated. The lady who was ringing up her own items in the self checkout next to me, needed assistance because she was trying to ring up alcohol and Janice told her she could not ring up alcohol at the self-checkout. Then, Janice approached the lady and began to take the pack of beer from the checkout as if she were going to take it away from her. Janice then ask her whether she wanted it or not and seemed completely careless of the ladys purchase and if she didnt want to get back into another LONG line... and the lady replied saying yes she wanted it but would she have to wait in line again. Janice refuse to assist her to get into another line with quicker assistance. She was very rude in my opinion. I have never been mistreated by any employees at the store. All of my experiences shopping there over the past two years have been Pleasant. While I was outside putting away my cart, I happened to see a manager named Frank who was helping collect carts. He was very pleasant and I told him about the situation that had occurred. He promptly apologized and even said he would address it with her. I also would like to give kudos to the tall dark-haired mustache younger guy working at the self-checkout. I have been helped by him before and he is very pleasant and friendly. Because of Frank and the mustache man, I am giving three stars. Unfortunately, Janice with the attitude which matches her eyebrows, takes away from the experience all together and left a bad taste in my mouth this Fourth of July weekend. I will continue shopping there I just hope I dont have to run into her anymore. I do hope to run into Frank again.

Excellent produce, large variety of specialty items, pricey for the area compared to other grocery stores unless you stick to sales. Take advantage of their Something Extra program and app for good discounts, alerts of $5 Monday specials and special offers and coupons.One of the only Grocery stores with curbside pickup. Their baggers take care to pick quality produce and meat. Curbside pick up saved me when I was sick.

Went there to get cat food that was not in the stores in my city. Checked online and it said it was in stock at this store. The website also said Fairlife milk was on sale 2 for $7. The cat food was not there & Fairlife was not on sale. Checked with an employee who told me the only way to see if items are in the store is to call and have them check. You cannot depend on the website to be accurate.

Prices are a little high. Bakery has gone down hill in the last 6 months and may not buy from them any longer. RECIEVED 2 birthday cakes with NO TRIM just writing and very ugly flowers. This last time I made sure to tell them trim the cake around the top and bottom, before with flowers and we wanted custard and strawberry filling. They said 2 filings were extra and we agreed. Got it home and only got the custard filling. I think we are done with the Bakery

Went today for the more harder to find cheeses like Gouda which is what I needed and found it no problem. Prices are a bit higher there but everything they sell is worth the prices. Love their fruit bowls in the fruit section. Highly recommend you swing by and try them out.

We are 2 Aussies who stopped here a couple of weeks ago on our way to Yosemite for supplies. I dont normally write reviews for supermarkets, but I just loved this place! It had a great sandwich bar as well as lots of lovely fresh fruit and veg. Staff were friendly and helpful and the whole place was spotless, even the bathroom. Keep it up guys.

Im sure most people could give the store five stars for its quality but Im a poor person so this is not the store for poor people. It cost an arm and a leg to buy anything here. The prices are outrageous. But the quality is also five star for everything. There are so many Health Foods here. And if you want a superb fruit the produce here is the highest quality anywhere in Merced. The store is also the most expensive grocery store in Merced. One thing I do buy here is the California sushi rolls. They are worth buying. I spend $7 for one meal just for me I eat them all. And they are way better than any other stores California rolls

This place is way more expensive than any other grocery store in Merced, but the selection is amazing and the service just isnt available in any other local market. Usually a very good store with great employees. Yesterday and the day before a longtime employee...older gentleman was running the self checks. I am not sure if he is going through a rough patch or something, but he was not that friendly and very distracted causing disruption and unnecessary Waits at the kiosk. With all the little troubles with self checkout kiosk, it is helpful to have someone who is really really paying attention to all four running machines. Otherwise a very neat and organized store

Tried to buy alcohol and I wasnt allowed to because I looked drunk. The cashier didnt tell me anything and called the manager over.. I was confused and when I told the manager if there is actual doubt, I dont mind using a breathalyzer. She realized I wasnt drunk, she just said well I have to take my cashiers side and there is nothing I can do Overall, its an uncomfortable environment. I would only go for the deli sandwiches.

Ive always loved to go here but my last trip really bothered me, there were several people in this store with out masks and not maintaining six feet. Not one of the workers seemed to care either. Which just made me think that this rayles just doesnt really care about its customers all that much either. So I will stay clear until its safe, then ill come back.

PROS:1. Store is always cleaned and shelves well stocked.2. Friendly employees always willing to help.3. I dont have to bag my own groceries or even unload them from the cart. They will push the cart out for me and load them in my car if I need them to.Lets face it after putting them in the cart other stores then make you take them out and place them up on a conveyor belt, then while the cashier scans them you must then go to the end of the counter to then bag your own groceries and again put them back in the cart. But thats not all you push them to your car and again unload the cart into your car. Where then you go home and unload them and take into the house. Thats more work then I care to do at the end of a long day just to save a small amount of money.4. They are always friendly and ready to help.5. They carry a nice selection of healthy food as well as bulk.6. They have double sided receipts and they are not wasting our resources on giving me a handful of coupons and a receipt as long as the empire state building every time I shop.6. Their reward program is much better then other big name grocery stores. They periodically send me out coupons on items that I have bought in the past and they have a nice discount.The other stores give me coupons as Im leaving, for items I never even use and Im supposed to remember to bring back those coupons my next shopping trip.7. If you can shop on Mondays they have another promotion that can save you even more.CONS:Wish they were open later.

Great grocery store for all our premium health food needs. It’s super nice to walk through the store. For myself I love the beer selection there. The only downside is that it is quite expensive. Please please always check expiration date, ultimately they are selling products about to expire, I paid more than 10$ for a small almond butter it expired a few days after I paid for it, same happened to me with egg whites. This is a very nice upper end grocery. Products cost a bit more. But you can find items here you wouldnt find in other stores. The quality is very high. The people are very friendly and helpful. The deli is really excellent. Probably the best sandwiches in town.

In general I like Raleys. It is quiet, in a nice neighborhood and the staff is always nice and friendly. It has decent selection of most things although its produce and spices are pretty standard without much in the way of any exotic fruits, vegetables and spices. It is probably a bit more expensive and slightly less selection variety than Savemart but I think it is worth it for the relaxed atmosphere.

Because he needed her so badly that she couldn’t run outside to get her bottle real quick so it got stolen. This is unacceptable. We ordered our groceries on line and then went to pick them up. There was only 2 spaces allocated to pick up orders. One was taken by another person to pick up her order. You get home and eggs are broken tomatoes smashed, and pharmacy old employees very nice new ones have attitude. I’ve started to change my prescriptions to a local home town pharmacy where I get quality service. I am a diabetic and I had a prescription for a monitor. The newer person there would not fill it. I asked her to please check with the pharmacist and she refused. I went to five other locations and non of them had a problem filling it. So I decided to give and start giving my business to a local owned pharmacy and locally owned grocers. I loved Raleys I’d been going there since the first week they opened and have spent a lot of money on food gifts deli and bakery items for very large events. It was a one stop shopping for me. Plus the organic varieties. Now I drive to Modesto to get all my organic fruits and vegetables. Sorry Raleys but someone needed to speak up. The older employees are still wonderful and friendly but they are not always available when you need them.

Went one mile down to save mart and other than toilet paper there store was stocked well with plenty for all. The liquor Dept is awesome but as for major shopping for the better and time tested brands that we have grown up with that list will be bought at another store. Hope things change.

Pharmacy is horrible. My doctor attempted calling 5 times to give them my prescription and was put on hold for 5-20 minutes EACH TIME. Not only that, I was told the person on the line was rude. When I went to Ralys Store here in Merced, I didnt like the way the scanning machine worked. I was trying to put everything in order so I could carry it out after payment was complete with out a bag. I dont want to be charged a fee for every bag I need. Instead I was going to stack it correctly so I could carry it out after payment easily with no problem. The computer wanted me to put everything on the bottom scale after scan. Plus there were no bags there for any other guest that might want them for proper use. I normally give positive remarks. The mgr that was working there. Was talking to me like a child telling me to put the items I scaned onto the lower table before the next item can be scanned. I felt like he was talking down to me. It makes me feel less to want to come back. Word of mouth can loose business as well as gain. Think would you want to feel this way. Treat your guest better other wise one of two things will happen. The person doing this will be either fired or removed from their position and possibly written up. Or if word spreads and more negative facts come up possibly loss of bussiness. After all all employees and Mgrs are suppose to be there with a possitive smile and aid their guest in a possitive way, possably even hand on. I worked in retail in Yosemite as well as many other jobs. I stayed there about 18 years because I enjoyed helping guest and the company too and the beauty of the park on my spare time. But I was there always for the guest. If it wasnt for the guest we wouldnt have a job no matter where the job is located. Guest come first!

I like this spot especially since its located close to work and there arent many other grocery stores in this side of town. They usually have good deals with their deli.

I did a review and now find that it has been deleted, perhaps politics are to blame. There were no reasons to remove my review. Keep the customers uniformed and silence the people. Good on you.

The store was clean, organized, the staff is always helpful and courteous. They have a variety of local brands too
