Authentic Japanese Ramen with more protein and veggies than other places but less expensive. My husband, who is a Japanese living in Bay Area for 25 years, thinks this is the best Ramen in the area. The meats are flavorful, soft, and juicy. The soup has complexity and not overly salty.Japanese restaurants are usually not vegetarian/vegan friendly but not this place. Kiwami Vegan Ramen has a lot of vegan meat (probably imported from Japan). Curry soup works surprisingly well with all the ingredients. I never had a better Ramen, not even in Asia. Recently I had a more expensive vegetarian Ramen with only noodles and a few bean sprouts at another place. So I really appreciate this restaurant. The staff are very courteous. Table is clean. Overall a 5-star experience.

Very good Japanese ramen place!I was actually impressed with the premium ramen selection, which is a special ramen that is on the menu for a limited time (like one month?). Once I got this scallop ramen and it was flavorful. The other time I got this creamy noodle with chicken and crab meat. Both were fantastic! The standard ramen that always stay on the menu is also above the average standard.Might be a short wait (15-30 mins) at the busy hours (we went on a Saturday noon).

Small ramen shop that deserves a visit even amongst the many options in the south bay. I had their currently running special (a scallop based ramen) and was impressed by how well balanced it was. distinct seafood flavor but not overwhelmingly so, and just the right amount of saltiness and oiliness, topped by two seared scallops. Would definitely come back to try all their different options in the future.

We went at about 6:30 on a Saturday night. This is a smal place, there were 11 groups ahead of us, and we estimated the wait at 30 minutes. It as about 35 minutes, but the food did not disappoint. They are a bit more old school with the ordering--did not do it via phone, but with a menu, but took out order within a minute or so. The appetizer (spicy edamame) came out within the expected time. The ramen took a little longer than expected (hence the 4 starts). Otherwise a good meal. The place is also great for vegans with ample choices. Lastly is the price. I dont think this place can be beat. We didnt order drinks, but with two ramen bowls, extra noodles, and an appetizer, it came out to $40 before tip. I almost had to do a double-take. Well be back.

Its a nice clean restaurant once you get in. You need to enter your name and phone on the ipad and add to the list. They will text but better to wait outside, before closing they go fast.Ordering is easy and smoothly done at the table. Its a great place for kids. The ramen broths are very good and they have a simple size (Tonkotsu (Pork Soup Ramen)) and fully loaded (Kiwami Tonkotsu) ramen both with same excellent broth. Fully loaded is more ramen as well so you can adjust depending on how hungry you are. Ive had them both and for the regular you walk away feeling like you got a good deal. Eat the fully loaded ramen to feel full. The pork ramen has thin egg noodles and the Soy Sauce based dried bonito soup (contains pork & chicken protein) with thick wavy egg noodles. You can have either noodle with either broth just ask, but these are the defaults.I always get the Kiwami Tonkotsu with spicy extra and that is my favorite but my wife loves the shoyu.Service is nice and polite. People that work ther e are happy.

First thing I noticed was how well prepared the meat is here. All meats. The karage was excellent. The cha shu also excellent. And the pork butt was excellent. Even the egg was excellent. The broth was good. The noodles were the right texture and soft. The tonkatsu broth was decent. The meat was sliced so thin though, so not much substance. You put your name on a wait list when you arrive. Not a very large place so it can get quite busy. Quick service though.

Great ramen, perfect combination of ingredients, and portion is perfectly sized. Atmosphere is traditional but also modern at the same time. Great staffing and service is very good. Rice dishes go perfectly with the ramen. Warm Japanese greeting when walked into this ramenya.

I believe this restaurant price is the best ! Simple one only $10, less topping but still come with 2 pcs chashu. Owner said because for Japanese, they more care about noodle quality than other like topping, so they create $10 simple one for Japanese .We order signature one, shoyu one inside come with 3 pcs wontons so delicious !

Best ramen place in Bay Area that I have found so far. And the line is so short it feels like a steal. Meat over corn rice is just amazing
