This place is consistently delicious. I’ve dined in and had take out and quality of the food is the same. It can get busy dinning in so make sure you scout a seat prior to ordering. Definitely a must try and it is surprisingly very reasonably priced for such good quality food.

Everything I ordered was good, place is clean, along with friendly service. My first time eating at a “ramen” place so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. Personally, I thought the noodles need to boil a little longer as they were still just a little to hard. Other Thaler than that, had a good experience & would go back!All in all, clean, friendly with good food! I personally suggest adding pepper, sriracha & whatever little concoction that’s in the glass jar! Oh, and soy sauce.

Decided we wanted to dine in and have some ramen. It was our first time eating here and the menu was easy to follow and read. We got shoyu ramen, shio ramen, nikuman 1/2 chicken and 1/2 pork, and yakimeshi with chicken. My daughters are picky eaters and they loved the yakimeshi. Everything we had was delicious and service was fast and the staff is friendly.

Literally the fastest I have been served food ever in a restaurant besides a fast food place. I ordered Spicy Miso Ramen and like 5-10 minutes after I ordered, it was ready. It was really good too and I liked the soda they had. They have one of those coca cola soda machines where you can pick a lot of flavors.

Soooooo good! My family and I come here quite often and never had anything we didnt like. I usually order out. Neat little ramen shop, been wanting to check this place out but havent had the time. The picture illustrated is the Hokkaido Bowl, festive with a medley of seafood, veggie, and a delicious fried egg. Broth was supple and not too salty. Portion is generous, one bowl is enough to fill you up. Im hoping to visit again very soon and try one of the other dishes that peaked my intrest as well.

Located at the northwest corner of Fowler & Herndon, Ramen Hayashi has arguably the tastiest and reasonably priced Japanese food in the Clovis/Fowler area. Yaki Ramen is excellent. Highly recommend!

Both Hayashi restaurants are good! It’s the best ramen in Fresno County. I have yet to find another place in the area that makes their broth and pasta fresh. The Clovis one is a bit smaller and cozier than Fresnos. While Fresnos is fresh modern city vibes !

Delicious food fast! Great service!I built my own with tonkotsu broth, with thin noodles and char su. I also added the chili oil for spice and got the garlic sauce on the side, after our waitress, Sydne, suggested it (she was awesome!)My wife got the #2, the Shoyu Ramen. It had the shoyu broth with thick noodles and steak.The broth was the real star- unctuous and salty. The chili oil is spicy and slaps your uvula like the hand of God.The noodles and char su were awesome, the meat and egg adding a little sweetness. My wife’s broth was a little sweeter but still amazing with the fried eggs. Amazing ramen and we sat outside under the trellis.

Ramen is not authentic. The tonkatsu (pork) broth tasted more like fish. You can put it inside of you for chemical energy but probably wont enjoy doing so.

It was amazing! I have a shellfish allergy and they were really nice about it and checking to make sure the food was ok. We got the shio ramen, spam masubi, and salmon donburi, all amazing flavor. Also got the cheesy corn appetizer however I couldn’t eat it as it’s fried in the same oil as shellfish. Extremely fast, price is fair. Very good

I ordered a custom ramen: Tonkotsu broth, chashu pork, Woodear mushroom, bean sprouts and boiled egg.Presentation: Presentation of the food was good.Portions: Portion of the food was also good and to what was expected.Price: Price somewhat matched what I wouldve expected to pay for this type of ramen.Flavor and taste: Overall, it wasnt bad but I found that the Woodear mushrooms were way too soft. The Chashu wasnt bad but a bit sweeter than what I wouldve expected (but I think others would enjoy it, sweetness just isnt my cup of tea). I found the noodles way too soft/overcooked. The broth wasnt bad but honestly could have been more rich for a tonkotsu flavor.Customer Service: Customer service was wasnt bad.I have been to so many ramen shops, in different states and other countries and there are many different styles, flavors, and ingredients which is to be expected.This shop does well in providing variety and customisation which is great. Likewise, they do a good job with the way it is set up to either do a quick and casual dine in or take away, which I have found great for flexibility that not as many ramen shops offer.I would still recommend this place, as its likely better than what you would find for this Fresno/Clovis region.Overall 4/5 stars.

When we entered we were greeted immediately with smiles and ragerness to assist us with any questions. Food was delicious. We ordered cha su fried rice couple bowls of shio, a custom bowl and a tonkatsu bowl. We were so excited to eat we forgot to take pictures but below are a couple picts we took once we remembered. I definitely recommend this ramen place . We really enjoyed it.

My family and I love this place! We tried it the first time a couple of months ago and everything was delicious! We’re returning customers and their food has always been consistent. They’re always so busy. Fried rice was on point. Ramen had great flavors and the portion was worth the money. Their dumplings was delicious. Their popcorn chicken I think was also great! We’d recommend this place! It is probably one of the best Japanese restaurant or food you could have there.

I ordered the Spicy Miso Ramen and it was delicious. The broth has a good kick to it and is flavorful. I would definitely recommend getting a drink to wash down the spice. The ingredients were all very fresh and tasty. The corn was very sweet and delicious. The meat wasnt overcooked and the eggs were sweet. The price here is a bit high, but it is well worth it.

Absolutely delicious! I ordered the Tonkotsu ramen with a fried egg. The broth was delicious and quality, clearly prepared with care. In addition, the outer part of the fried egg was cooked to perfection. Not to mention, the service was excellent and willing to accomadate for special requests. Beyond the taste, the presentation of the food was eyepleasing and photoworthy. I highly recommend ordering their scrumptious cheesecake.

I was really surpriced because normally the restaurants in the different countries are modifying the food according to the local preferences.For me it was only a little bit difficult to find the correct Ramen because some pictures were missing and my English is not so good. My first experience was good and bad. For those who are new to this restaurant have someone go sit at a table you want because this is a pay first then eat after type of restaurant. The food is good. I have no complaint but customer service for my first time experience was horrible. Me and my family sat outside because inside was getting full. I ask the server who gave us our food if she can turn on the heater for us and she said she dont know how. She went inside and got someone that does but they didnt turn on our heater they went to the other side of the patio to turn on theres. They never came back . I went inside to wait in line and ask Joyce if she can help turn on the heater for us because my kids are getting cold. 5 minutes later the same server with burgundy hair with the black apron came back with another server to deliver the rest of our food. When they deliver our food they instantly ran inside right after I took the food. Even my wife notice how fast they ran inside. Look at your camera if you have too. Today 2/17 around 6:20-6:30pm. You will see your server drop off the food and ran inside. Now Im upset because I order 4 plate of food and got 2 fork and no one was able to come out and help with the heater. I went back inside and waited in line and Joyce came to ask me what was wrong. I said this is my 3rd time asking if someone came turn on the heater for us and get us another fork. She immediately jump on it. She got me a fork and come out right away to turn on the heater. Thank you Joyce for helping. Im upset that I have to ask 3 times. If there was a bigger table I would of sat inside but sadly every big table was taken. The lady who gave us our food should learn how to turn on the heater . I seen Joyce did it and it was easy. I wouldnt touch it though because I dont want to be liable for any damage.

This is an order/pay before you sit place. Most staff are friendly, there are a few that seem miserable. The few times that weve been there, there is always an item that was missed or not entered correctly. Nothing drastic but would have been nice if attention to details were present. Other than the service, the food is good. One of the better ramen place in the Fresno area.

The noodles werent traditional freshly made ramen noodles, and tasted different than what I was expecting and hoping for. They also didnt have the right texture/elasticity when you chew them, or the typical yellowish hue you get with ramen noodles. The soup, meat and egg were good though.The staff had forgot to bring the musubi initially, but it was great when it arrived. Hot and fresh - Best part of the meal.Going to try some other ramen places in the area to compare.

I was not sure about the place at first but the first Ramen bowl proved it to me. Rarely have I ever been so satisfied with food, and never noodles. This is the absolute best, I was slurping loudly the whole time, which I never do when eating noodles. Best of the best, if I could give it a 6 stars, I would have. Love the outside patio, best spot ever, like the beach. Also, totally worth $14 a bowl, I wouldnt consider it pricey if it is this quality, I almost didnt finish, though I thought the bowl was small at first, lol. Definitely coming back with peeps. The food was fresh and piping hot. I ordered the loaded chicken gyoza It was yummy! Dont get the plain ones. Go for it and get the loaded ones! They dont disappoint. My ramen soup was delicious. The only thing I didnt like was the soft boiled egg. It had a soy sauce flavor that I didnt care for and it overpowers the broth. I would have preferred a plain egg. That didnt stop me from eating it though. LolMy husband got the Yaki Ramen. He liked it! I tried a bite and it had excellent flavor and texture.My son got the soft shelf crab. It was excellent. He loved it. My daughter loved her soup and she tried kimchi for the first time and she was pleased.My SIL got the rock shrimp and I tried one. BOMB! Her whole family loved their soups. Its nice that everyone can customize their ramen.It is a bit pricy. We spent over $100 just for 4 of us so we probably wont be frequent visitors but I would definitely go back again.

All thw workers are UNFRIENDLY. First and last time here. The ramen wasnt good, you would expect fresh noodles but it tasted like packaged noodles. Spent 83 bucks unsatisfied. I came with my family because my sister kept raving about this place. Took my 2 year old toddler son here because I figured, he can have some noodles. Ended up ordering him an order of egg rolls. Thank goodness we decided to break it in half to cool it down. It was uncooked! Cooked on the outside, nice and golden crispy. Soooo under cooked on the inside. We sent it back to have it cooked longer. Minutes later, they sent it back to our table to question us, “question us” where is it still raw?! I was way over my head. At this point, I just wanted leave. U can still see that it was still slimy and you can clearly see the rawness pink n gooeyness of the eggs used to keep the stuffing together and moist. At this point, I wanted to go get the manager but the husband wanted to be nice and said no. “We” HAD to show them where it was raw, the whole thing! It is so scary to know that the person in the back cooking your meal does not know if it is cooked or not by looking at the food! Technically, ur supposed to use a thermometer to test for doneness. But who does that, right? But come on. I cook, and I make egg rolls, at home. So I know what I’m talking about. We jus canceled the order and went with something else. But never again will I ever go back, ever again. I’d give zero stars if I could. Should had notified the manager instead because that is a big issue!

It was everything I expected. We ate here on a cold rainy day and we were all craving a hot bowl of Ramen. The bowl is definitely enough on its own. We just about rolled out of there at the end and I didn’t even finish my whole bowl. This is my new “rainy day” restaurant.

I really enjoyed the food that my family received. Even with take out they had assembled it to look almost like artwork. The trays were insulated to the point where the food didnt loose any heat on our hour ride back home. What highlights this in my opinion is that while reheating the food today, it tasted just as good as when fresh. The only thing that I was slightly disappointed in was the beverage choices that the had, most of the drinks were completely out leaving only diet or zero sugar sodas. All in all, I would say that this is my favorite Japanese restaurant. Keep up the good work.

I ordered take out while in the restaurant, I wanted to guage the feel for the place. Which I dont often do. Staff is friendly but it was busy so they were definitely overwhelmed with orders, they could use a bit of assistance with organizing their orders. I only waited about 15-20 minutes, so if I ordered online or ahead it would have been in and out. The restaurant is nice inside! Clean, nice decor and presentation 👌 I ordered spicy miso, which only has a bit of spice, I love spicy food but I understand the level of spice Id request would put most people off. The broth is tasty and rich in flavor! The noodles have a buckwheat flavor, idk if thats what is used, but its common so Im assuming thats what it is. The ease of taking the food home was good! They keep the toppings and noodles separate from the broth which is a huge plus so nothing goes soggy. The Cha-su or braised pork has a really good flavor! I dont really have any complaints other than the disorganization inside, overall good first experience! Those who are not familiar with real Ramen, do not expect that instant Ramen taste. The broth is much different usually home made or have a bone broth consistency, the noodles have a dense texture and theres toppings like green onion, dry seaweed, egg, veggies and a protein. So try it with an open mind and try different broth flavors youll for sure find one you like. Or customize your own bowl with things you like!

I love ramen and travel to different city’s for good ramen. This ramen is okay in comparison to the others. Noodles do not taste homemade or fresh. First time it was a good experience however when I went back to try other items on the menu the customer service was very bad. They made us leave our table because we hadn’t ordered yet. We were waiting for our party to arrive. They told us it was there policy, which it was not posted anywhere in the restaurant. When I told the girl they should post that policy so other people would be a where she ignored me and walked away. Rude! I will not be recommending people to come here or returning.

Very busy place. We were quoted a 50 minute wait before we ordered. It didnt take that long though it was more like 20 minutes. They had lots of people coming in for take out orders, and waiting for take out in their cars. It was because of COVID and social distance.Anyway, the food was fresh, hot and tasted AMAZING! We werent greeted, no biggie. They assumed we were going to pay with a card because we were directed where the card reader was (I dont like tipping on a card). I asked if they take cash, they do, but paid with a card anyways. We ordered and our ramen was served in a a very good amount of time. The Tonkatsu Ramen tasted great. Though, for $13 bucks I dont think it was worth it. Were originally not from Fresno (from So. Cal) so we still have to get used to the standards here. Also, we have to try other Ramen restaurants in Fresno to give this place a better comparison.

I dont know how I feel about this place as I ordered from DoorDash and havent had traditional ramen before. Figured why not give it a go AND try something different. I wish I had just made something at home instead. Everything tasted burnt, like cheap plastic or smoked. Didnt care for the very strong flavors of fish. The takayaki didnt seem like it was cooked all the way through, they all had a liquid center. If this is how traditional ramen and takayaki tastes like, then Im good with never having it again. The broth was a bit bland. The vegetables were fresh, but both the veg and meat portions were lacking. The egg was perfectly soft boiled and tasted like soy sauce and shaoxing wine, which was great. The overall portion was pretty good for $11, easily splittable with a friend for even better value.The chicken gyoza were a good portion for the price (6 medium-sized dumplings for $5), but could have been more flavorful.Authentic Japanese food this is not. There are many appetizers I would so much like to try, but the meat content prohibits me, although, the spring rolls are some of the best Ive ever had.One thing Id like to see is a creamy ramen variation, perhaps involving coconut milk. This was my first time to a ramen place so I have nothing to compare it to, but was not super impressed with the ramen or the broth it came in.
