Friendly staff and the place seems clean.I had a bowl of Shiro (white) ramen and a lion king roll.The roll was okay.The ramen looked delicious, but unfortunately its taste was very bland. I ended up not eating most of it.

Delicious bowl of ramen at 9 am. I had the black tonkotsu ramen. Their soy eggs were perfect. Ive also tried their veggie okonomiyaki which was bomb. I havent seen a lot of places do okonomiyaki in SF so I was super excited to have it.

This place is a little gem in Portola. The service is great and the food is on point. We’ve had the ramen before (which is always good!), but we were craving udon this time. Both the chicken curry udon and the tempura udon were so tasty! You also get a lot of food for the price. They were nice enough to make me the tempura without shrimp for me too. Be sure to get a glass of the toasted rice tea to accompany your dinner.

Cute little restaurant. We got here a little early on a Saturday so we were the first customers that day. Food was good but ramen was a little bit salty for me. It was a lot for the price and we took home half of it for dinner. Taking a star off as I didnt get a refill on my water. Our total was $40 for 3 items including tip.

Very tasty ramen nicely presented. Modern atmosphere. The pork in my ramen was excellent, tasty and tender. They even have okonomiyaki! Been there twice and will definitely go back.

Best popcorn chicken ever. Dry on the outside, juicy on the inside.Okonomiyaki also amazing. very good.Ramen is mid. Was not that good.But the popcorn chicken and okonomiyaki is amazing. They should rebrand as a snack place.

Small place with excellent noodles. Got the miso ramen and was not disappointed! Large serving, friendly staff, good prices. Couldnt ask for more. If youre coming during lunch time, bus/ride/walk there, because the on street parking is hectic.

Times change since 2 years ago according to Older REVIEWS & OLD PICTURES, OLD Ramin House on 3rd St. Sf, MENU. SOMEHOW RESTRAUNTS NEED TO RETHINK STRATEGY ON BETTER FOOD FOR DOUBLE THE COST. SO CUSTOMERS WOULD WANT TO COME BACK.Though restaurants are strugling restaurants dont upgrade menu, they use A MENU SHOWS PREPARED FOOD QUALITY & QUANTITY & INGREDIENTS THEY DONT SERVE ANYMORE, OLD PHOTOS, FALSE EXPECTATIONS of what you will RECIEVE in an Order. THE PORTIONS REDUCED BY HALF, PRICES SHOW OLD PRICE ONLINE, NO CARE, NO PASSION, NO TASTE, PRICE DOUBLED, QUALITY AWFUL. I went first time on Saturday, July 9, 2022 around noon. Server nice, i recieved green tea when ask what tea i wanted. I was given a napkin and fork, and live ask for chop stix. I ordered Unagi-Don Bento Box, which a photo of a bento box is on menu, not Unagi but look like (chicken katsu) which looked wonderful, slice oranges garnish, Full of food bento box with 6 piece of California Roll, rice etc. On Menu above items for Bento box it describes With Pot stickers, California Roll, Soup, Rice & then main choice below. What a dissapointment. No soup was served though said soup, UNAGI WAS ICE COLD AND TERRYAKI-UNAGI SAUCE COLD THICK ALL OVER, a salad soggy in huge amount of a sour cream dressing more than salad itself runny, 2 potstickers (warm), 3 pieces California Roll ( Not Like Photo which had 6 pieces) Rice was only thing Hot, NO Oranges like pictures, or any GARNISH, NO PICKLED GINGER, JUST WASABI. Not Worth- $18.95? TASTELESS, COLD SOUR AWFUL. I stated Unagi was cold waitress was nice she took to microwave not sauce but unagi. I went to look at menu it clearly states soup not salad though most bento boxes have both. Waitress was nice she brought me miso soup with seaweed OMG bad soup added soy sauce but it was bitter, old maybe, but not like any miso soup i ever had before, it was really weird. I TOOK RICE & Unagi to go box was charged .25 for white cardbord box with notice. With tax was $20.86 what a waste when photos looked so good.

The manager provides A+++ service ever. Best I have ever experienced at any restaurants. His service is impeccable. Cant say the same for the servers but the manager definitely makes up for it. The food is great and delicious. Ill give the servers a C. Modern music plays in the background. Overall, excellent service from the manager. Wonderful experience.

Ramen House had pretty good flavors in their food but it was really small portion compared to say 21 Taste restaurant on Ocean avenue. Which is the bomb by the way. Owners, if youre reading this you got to give a bigger portion. And you have to put seaweed in it and a whole egg not a half egg. we want you to succeed. This 4-star is overly generous but it was tasty. You can do better though. Go visit 21 Taste for ideas-It is a five star restaurant. you were just too damn stingy on the meat and you need to put a lot of other ingredients in it. I like the soft shell crab ramen at 21 Taste And its not a fancy restaurant. Its kind of like yours.

I was amazed how good the food was. Had 6 grown upsand 2 children for about $130. Had Ramen and drinks so it was a fair price. The place was clean and the staff was very nice. :). Skip the alcohol so its a bit more cheap lol.Great place to eat.

Nothing is going to knock your socks off but this is a solid place to grab a ramen. I tried the popcorn chicken & okonoyaki Japanese pancake (beef and seafood - the seafood is better). They handled me sending back the pancake very nicely. I ordered the beef, they sent the seafood instead. The pricing is pretty good. I would go back if I was in the area and wanted ramen, but would not be a special trip for this.

A few of my friends and I were going to the ribbon cutting ceremony of Churn Urban Creamery, and noticed this place across the street. It peaked our interest, and we decided after getting our ice cream to hop over.Between the 4 of us, we ordered a ton of food. We got Tonkotsu Ramen (white) & (black) combos, Seafood Okunomiyaki, and a Chicken Teriyaki Bento.Ironically, the thing that we liked the least out of all the food was the ramen. The okunomiyaki was good and the Chicken Teriyaki was phenomenal. Now, the only issue that we had with the ramen, is we are used to really flavorful and rich Tonkotsu and this was a little thin and gentle on flavor (both the white and black version).The okunomiyaki was nothing to write home about, but it scratches that itch if you are looking to get one. Saving the best for last, we will definitely be back for the Chicken Teriyaki. We were all surprised at how high the quality was for the chicken. It was perfectly grilled and the sauce matched perfectly.The prices were spot on, and the food was better than decent. Well be going back and thats the reasoning for the 4 stars.

Tried the Kuro ramen combo. Ramen had a rich tonkotsu broth, tender chashu, and a perfect soft boiled egg. Dumplings, salad and California roll were nice additions. Overall, highly recommended
