This is the first time ever trying this place. As we walked in, we were greeted by the staff. They explained to us that we would have to order our food and pay on the kiosk. Once the food is done, they will bring it to your table. (There are no servers here to take your order) We got the Tonkotsu Ramen Special All Topping, and it was delicious! The broth was so good and flavorful! We will definitely be coming back.

A new spot opened up in Monterey Park for Ramen. King Ramen. We tried the Chicken Ramen King, the Tonkotsu King, and the plain ramen. The ramen is too al dente, not what I was expecting but the soup was good on the Tonkotsu. My dining guest had the Chicken and said it was too salty for their liking, but rates it at 7.5 out of a 10. The gyoza was just OK, similar taste to what you buy in a supermarket. Total for the dishes $37.12. Will try other places.

The food was absolutely amazing! We ordered the lobster special. It comes with a marinated egg, pork, seaweed paper, spring onion and black fungus. The flavors were so unique and full. Its a rich thick broth with fresh noodles. There are toppings on the table like fried onion and toasted sesame seeds.The staff was super welcoming. I showed up an hour before closing and I didnt feel rushed. Christian, Alex and Miguel were checking in on us making sure we had everything we needed.The restaurant was well lit. Clean and a pretty big size compared to other ramen restaurants in the area. Without exaggerating I want to say this place is my favorite place to eat. I will for sure be back with more of my friends and family so they experience what I did.I cant recommend this place enough!!

I tried this place for the first time and the food was very underwhelming.First of all, we were never served any water. This is the first restaurant I’ve been to that don’t serve their customers water.The pork was incredibly thin & the gyozas are tiny and had a really bad oil smell.I paid $3 for a hard boiled egg, it wasn’t hard boiledI paid $1.50 for extra green onions and you can see how much green onions $1.50 got me. With all the added prices I expected the food to be great but it’s really not.

Food - Spicy Tonkotsu You have to get this one. The spicy chicken and the rest are obsolete and irrelevant. 11/10 RamenService - 10/10 I ordered the wrong ramen on accident. Stopped eating my food and got my food corrected the young chef with glasses. Young man gracefully handed me my food. Very thankful for that. KEEP THIS CHEF JOSUE, IF YOU FIRE HIM THEN I WILL MASS 1STAR THIS RESTAURANT. Yes thats a threatAmbiance - Anyways ambiance is good, super chill. It is not a bad ramen but i have try better ones, so call it the best ramen in the world is too much. It lacks umami and taste in every part, so yeah it eatable but thats it nothing else, nothing more.On the other side the gyozas were pretty amazing.

Had this place back in Oct 2022. It was decent. The rolls were good. I really liked the chopsticks they give, and they’re quite fancy so we kept them. The friends I was with were interested in the fancy lobster ramen.

I am a big fan of ramen and this place hits the spot.We got spicy lobster broth ramen and spicy tonkatsu ramen with spicy tuna roll and spicy salmon roll.Yes, a lot of spicy there but worth it. One ramen bowl fills you up and there is nothing better than spicy ramen on a cold night.I loved the broth, it was boasting flavors!!The noodles were soft as I like them and you can customize that while ordering.I loved how courteous the staff is and helps you in ordering and answering your questions.I will be back here for more!More at IG @whatscookinginLA

I really wanted to like this place. But sadly since I have gone to HiroNori Craft Ramen I have been spoiled. The pork is thinner here. waaaaaay thinner. Less portion. The ramen also does not look better than Hiro. Beyond that, the broth was good. the addition of some rolls is a nice tough. Still despite that on its merits its fine. But its pricey too.

I had high expectations for this place since the so-called world champion of ramen is the chef. I was a bit confused with some of the bad reviews. Well, I had to try it out for myself. Honestly, it did not disappoint. I had the Tonkotsu ramen. Solid, creamy and delicious broth. I was sold with the giant chasu pork meats. The pork was soft and full of flavor. I think I found one of my top ramen places. This will be my goto ramen place. My wife had the lobster broth ramen and I had to try some of it. Amazing! So good! They also give you a handful of hard boiled eggs to eat with your ramen. Dont let the bad reviews turn you away. Try it out for yourself.

A step better than Shin Sen Gumi, but not quite where I want it to be. The broth has some flavor but I taste more salt than other ingredients. The pork is ok. Noodles were fine (I think its rice noodle?), nothing too special. Other ingredients were nice.I will be back to try the mazemen which is a new item.I love the touch screen ordering process. Wish all ramen places did this.

A not so big ramen restaurant. The menu is extremely simple with ramen and sushi. Ramen with 3 different broth of tonkotsu, spicy tonkotsu and lobster broth, adds on are available. Tried the special lobster broth. The broth is fully tasty while the chashu is good. It would bring great warmth in the cold rainy days. Lack of the choice for selecting hardness of the noodles while the menu seems to be a little easy.

Lobster ramen is THE BEST Ive had in my life. The broth is so yummy and lobster flavor is very flavorful. The chef said that its manually stirred for 6 hours. I dont doubt why its that good. Counter or seating ramen as I craved from real Japanese ramen spot. Tokutsu was really good. Perfect ramen noodles. Everything is sooooo impressive. So glad this place opens near where I live! Also a lot of parking behind the mall.

Very nice experience. I saw on FB that they are having a promo event, but I was here 1 week early. Since I’m there already, might as well have lunch.I’ve never had lobster broth ramen, to me it’s a one of a kind experience. Broth thick and flavorful, highly recommend.Chashu pork is a bit complicated. Usually ramen uses a fattier cut of pork, here they use low fat cut. It is a bit dry compare to usual chashu, but they did a great job. The chashu is cooked expertly for a low-fat cut.Lastly I’d like to suggest: serve mini donburi bowls. Here they serve sushi already, so rice is available, just not in a bowl. Personally I like to finish my ramen broth with some rice, heaven on Earth.

Located in the former shabu shabu lot is a new ramen joint. Their basic ramen is only $10, which is a pretty good deal nowadays, with the full set being $15. Ordering here is a little different from usual ramen shops. You order on the iPads and pick up your order when its called. So the service is more fast food style, rather than sit down restaurant. The tables all have extra normal boiled eggs, which is unusual and Ive never seen it before.I tried out the $15 one to get the full experience. The broth is very rich and smooth, while the chasu falls apart very easily in your mouth. Noodles are cooked just right and the egg is good too. Definitely would recommend you come and try this place out!

This our first time at Ramen King Keisuke we heard they open the first Ramen King Keisuke in the city of Monterey Park. This space use to be Tokyo Shabu Shabu before it was take over by Ramen King Keisuke. We step in the restaurant it was very nice and waiter told us we have to order at the touch screen to order our meal thier selection is small we decided to order the Tonkotsu with everything and also our drinks. We can sit anywhere that we want and waited they call my name.They call my name my wife pick up our meal it looks so good one taste the broth was very good light and full of flavor and the Ramen was very good not rubber the addition the extra eggs and other items overall we enjoy very much. We need to come back again to bring our friends and family.

Best ramen in the world !? no. its absolutely the worst ramen i ever had in my entire life. it was way over priced just for two bowls of ramen. the broth itself didnt have any flavor whatsoever, noodles was so thin and it also kinda tasted like dirt ?? and dont get me started on the very thin slice of pork, its so thin like paper. its almost like getting a slice of supermarket deli meat and slapping on the bowl of ramen and called it a day. barely any portion. i was so disappointed. never coming here again. dont recommend this place at all. save your money elsewhere.

A lot of people are complaining about the saltiness of the ramen but What I had was the opposite.The broth was a bit tasteless not much pork flavor and mostly fatty, black fungus should have been chopped to smaller pieces, minced pork tastes like it does not belong in the dish, the seaweed was overly large and is very hard to eat, CHASHU tastes like roast pork no soy sauce flavor which threw flavor of the dish off.Maki rolls are very basic rice, fish and seaweed.You have to order first then find your own seat, then they’ll call your name to pick up the order. The system is not complicated but when the food arrives it’s a little frustrating to have to get up frequently to check if your order is ready because the order shoutout is not loud enough in a crowded restaurant.Noodles are firm, chili oil is a bit spicy adds a nice touch to the whole dish.The ordering system on the tablet is very simple and easy to use. Hard boiled eggs are provided for FREE at each tables and booths next to the condiments. These are not the same as the eggs in the ramen. Chopsticks are very cute.Does it beat the other ramen places like Daikokuya or Nakazo? No.We got 2 spicy tonkotsu ramen and 2 maki rolls (tuna and salmon). With tips included, the whole bill comes out to be $50.You can go get a bowl of tonkotsu at Nakazo and 2 onigiri for ~$20. Or a Daikoku ramen set for $30 with even more food.The atmosphere in the restaurant is good despite the execution on the food. I look forward to seeing improvements!

From a Japanese guy that grew up eating ramen;They serve good ramen, but maybe not as good as the other authentic ramen venues in LA.We had the Lobster (All toppings) and the regular Tonkotsu (All toppings).Lobster ramen was good, but would have been better if the broth was thicker and less saltier.I liked the Tonkotsu ramen better, with the pork back fat contributing to much thicker taste.

Interesting style of Ramen house. Theyre somewhat mimicking how a lot of Ramen shops in Japan worksThe food was mid at best. Was kinda shocked they gave a hard boiled egg when you ask for extra egg. One would think its an onsen egg.The ramen noodles are alright but the add-on in general are just not worth.At the very least you get to keep the chopsticks.

A new ramen spot so decided to try it out.Order at the left side with the kiosk and sit down anywhere. They will call your name to pick up your food.Tonkatsu: the noodles were pretty good. The soup it’s thicker than most spots in my opinion. Chasu is a thin slice but you get 1 piece only. You can order extra, but it’s 1 additional slice I believe. that is $4. I saw that they have $2.50 for flavored egg. I got excited and ordered a few.DO NOT get the extra flavor egg. It is just hard boiled egg. Not even cracked or anything. You’ll also be the one to peel it.It comes with a packaged chopstick. I ended up taking mine home because we saw that they give the to go orders the same kind of chopsticks. It’s a good souvenir to keep. It’s a great marketing tool. People have asked me where I got the chopsticks.Open kitchen: due to it being open, we can see the employees cooking our noodles with and without gloves. If you’re a germaphobic person. Don’t sit here.

The lobster noodle soup is not at all anything I advise. It wasnt entirely cooked, was still chilly, had a strong salt flavor, and didnt taste at all like lobster soup. I received very little ramen, 1 slice of cha siu, 2 pieces of fungus, and no other entrees. Unless you pay extra. The $18 was not worthwhile. The maki rolls taste hardly any fresher than usual. The condiment containers, tables, and seats are all quite filthy. In general, customer service is awful.

Brand new to the area. Got to know about it when traveling in Singapore when a news article said Ramen King Keisuke was expanding to the US opened its first branch in Monterey Park. Their specialty is ramen in lobster broth. The taste was impressive. $19.95 got me one bowl with all toppings. Toppings are black fungus, spring onions, 2 slices of kurobuta pork, 1 large piece of seaweed, chili spiced minced pork with a slight hint of belacan, and an authentic ramen egg with the runny yolk (I included a photo). Make your orders via tablets at the entrance, pay, find seating and wait for your name to be called. Self serve ice water at the counter. The spicy lobster broth felt a little too oily at the end of the meal but otherwise the flavors were wonderful.

I LOVED my 1st experience at Ramen king... so Ive been back to this spot over 5x 😋. Broths are delicious. My favorite aspect is the thickness of the broth and the egg. Maki is also delicious, fresh fish always. Lionel has amazing customers service and is always hustling 👏 Place is clean and I always see the employees wearing gloves. I recommend you try. Chopsticks are also awesome.

Ordered the lobster soup ramen and the spicy version as well.Ramen was warm, if that. Spicy was not spicy at all. Actually, the soups were kinda oily-maybe because it was starting to solidify since they werent hot? Atmosphere was like a club - the music was so loud, it was difficult to have a conversation with my daughter. Really, theres no service. You order from a kiosk, pay at the kiosk, and seat yourself. They bring you your order and thats the last you see of them. I was really looking forward to this... what a letdown... especially for $19.00 bowl of ramen.Ill be looking around for a different ramen joint...

Ive been looking for new ramen restaurants in the area and Im very glad they opened up! I think I caught the owner talking to a buddy when I dropped by. I really like the restaurant and want to try their tonkostu ramen next time. But I got their lobster ramen and it was definitely very rich and thick. It reminds me of a crab based soup I got in San Jose and I was hoping to get the same experience again.When you enter the shop, you order on the computer screens on the left. Once you order it, find a seat. When the order is ready, theyll call your name and youll pick it up from the counter. They give you these cute cat chopsticks as a souvenir too!Will be coming back soon.

Checked out the hottest new ramen spot in town and it didn’t disappoint.Ordering was a breeze with the system and staff were friendly and happy to help too. They got us a high chair and helped to set up our table once we ordered. Loved the eggs at the table - was the perfect activity for our toddler to sit there peeling eggs while waiting for the food to arrive.We ordered a bowl of the famous lobster ramen as well as a bowl of the tonkatsu ramen and sweet tuna maki. As well as some ice green tea which was the perfect accompaniment to the rich broth. The broth was so flavourful and the noodles perfectly cooked. Even our toddler loved it and kept asking for more.Bonus: Lots of parking in the building and the location gave us lots of good dessert options to chose from after! We picked up some bubble tea a couple doors down before heading off. Can’t wait for more of their outlets to open!

The most popular items seems to be a lobster ramen taste pretty good but is pretty pricey for what it is. Almost $18 with tax with all the toppings. It was amazing, The scent of the ramen smelled so good, It really wanted to come in. The designing of the restaurant are spectacular. The wasabi was real and the ginger was red, sour and amazing. Area has a lot of parking and very accessible. Very cozy place to dine IN. Service is great no complain, we were ushered in and was briefed how to order in their kiosk. We were oriented what food are served and what to expect. Friendly and attentive staff. Food was great. But i wished they serve chicken and beef as well. Most are pork based soup. Still veey satisfied. Would recommend to visit and try. Might be surprised.... especially they have vegestable ramen. That really tasted good.

Reminiscent of my recent trip to Japan, I was looking for a delicious ramen restaurant and found it.My younger brother and I ordered spicy and regular tonkotsu ramen and 3 pieces of maze soba to share.There was so little broth in the ramen that I thought it was mixed, so I asked for more broth.I knitted it with a single chopstick, but the noodles didnt come out well and ended up sticking together.The soup tasted so dry that it was difficult to eat.There was only one piece of chashu, but it was understandable since I ordered the cheap regular version.Most restaurants give good scores, but its hard to give them many stars.The serving staff was friendly and the interior was clean.People who havent tried ramen in Japan might think that this level of ramen is just about delicious and just eat it.But but I have no intention of visiting again.
