Best Ramen ever in SD.I highly recommend “ Miso Ramen”.It taste a real Hokkaido style. The chef said, noodle from Hokkaido, Japan.Their fried rice is how amazing taste.Gyoza is also handcrafted, super juicy.Can’t wait to go there til next time.Thank you so much for everything.

We recently had the pleasure of dining at a small and organized ramen spot, and we must say, it was a fantastic experience. We typically go down to Convoy area for ramen, but didnt feel like making the drive and decided to give this place a try.The broth was rich and packed with layers of savory goodness. Each spoonful was a burst of flavor that left me wanting more. The noodles were cooked to perfection - firm and chewy, just the way I like it. Topped with tender slices of pork and fresh vegetables, the bowl was a delight to the senses.Not only was the food outstanding, but the service was also commendable. The staff were attentive and friendly, making sure that our dining experience was enjoyable from start to finish. She was knowledgeable about the menu and offered helpful recommendations.The cleanliness and organization of the place also deserve mention. The atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming. Also enjoyed the mural.Overall, we can confidently say that this ramen spot exceeded our expectations. From the flavorful and robust ramen to the attentive service and cleanliness, I would highly recommend this place.

So glad to have a legit ramen place so close to our home! Theres some great ramen in SD (like Menya) but much of it seems to be further south like Claremont/Convoy. I am SO thrilled to get this quality of ramen without even having to get on the 15.I got the Miso Hot and the flavor was rich, the spice was just right, and the egg was the perfect texture. The pork and noodles were good and there was what seemed to be a little ground chicken or pork in the broth at the end. I inhaled it and drank all the broth before I thought to get a picture...whoops.The staff were all very welcoming when I entered and the server was very helpful in giving recommendations. Glad to see they have a vegan option so we can bring our vegetarian friends next time. Will definitely be back and would happily order the same thing.It was $17 total which does feel like a lot, but I guess everything here is pricey these days. The flavor and quality made me feel like my money was well-spent.

I ❤️ this place. Finally, a good authentic Japanese ramen shop in North County! The noodles are imported from Hokkaido, Japan - Nishiyama ramen noodles 😋. I was there for luch; I had the Me So Hot 🔥 ramen, and my friend had the Show You. The ramen was delicious, full of body and authentic Japanese flavors, filling and hot! I am looking forward to my next visit for some handmade gyoza 🥟 and ビール 🍺. The staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful!

This is a new ramen location in San Marcos. Here are my straight forward notes.Food: 5/5I ordered the takoyaki to start and a bowl of the Me So Delight Ramen. The takoyaki was nice and crispy on the outside with nice tender pieces of octopus on the inside. The takoyaki had a nice drizzle of Kewpie Mayo that didn’t drown out the flavor.The ramen was very rich and flavorful. It did have a hint of salt on the back end but not to overpowering. The noodles were nice and supple. The char su pork was really on point but the egg was the star. It was super rich and was definitely still soft in the middle. Overall very nice bowl of ramen and takoyaki.Service: 5/5I felt the service was fine. There were two waitresses and they were sweeping through the dining area quick and overall were attentive to everyone that was in the restaurant.Ambiance: 4/5Definitely much more simplistic feel. No real decor on the walls and lighting is toned down. It actually reminds me a lot of ramen shops in actually Japan. The only thing they are missing is the ticket machine 😀. They are getting a 4/5 because I do wish it was a bit more lit in the restaurant but I’m nitpicking.Overall score: 4.5/5Can’t really complain about this ramen shop. Menu is simple, easy to understand, and the food is solid. I definitely recommend and will comeback.

This is our third time dining here, different times of day and we are SOOOO happy we finally have a delicious Ramen place in North County! The service is great and the food is tasty. Menu is a limited to “just” ramen and some delicious apps, but then again, that’s what we come for! Love this place, hoping they do well!

Went here with my fiance and daughter as a reward for her reading books since shes a ramen fiend. We all loved our orders and everything we tried. This place is definitely worth a visit and their black garlic ramen is delicious. If you like ramen, give it a shot. You wont be disappointed. Expect to spend 15-20 per person.

Admittedly what drew me to this place when I was scoping around for ramen was the name of their bowls. But thankfully the humor isnt just a gimmickI went with the Me So Hot ramen, and from that:- The broth was rich and delicious. Its one of the few times Ill gladly have the rest of it after Im done- There was also minced meat in the broth- The noodles were a little firm, but still good. Its one of those preference things.- The char sui slice was flavorful and without the chewy fattiness I sometimes find in other places- The egg is half boiled, which I prefer. Though I wouldve liked it to be cut in half, but thats nitpicking- The spice does pack a punch.Overall, a really good bowl.As for service, the staff were friendly and checked in regularly. The owner or head chef (not sure which) also checked in to see how things were which I thought was a nice touch. Though it wasnt too busy so your millage may vary.

We got there around 12:15 pm and there was only one other filled table. But after 15-30 minutes, almost every table was filled. I ordered the Me So Delight which is Original Hokkaido style miso ramen with stir fried Umami mixed vegetable and dashi Egg. My coworkers ordered the Me So Delight, Me So Hot and a side of fried rice. The egg was the part I liked the best. Solid place and nice to support local businesses.

Definitely worth stopping by Ramen Mik for their specialty thick, hearty and collagen-rich broth ramen that is oh-so-satisfying. With a base of the soup, there are noodles and different ingredients and flavor combinations, and customizations available to your desired taste and hunger level. Friendly staff.

I had been waiting to go to this ramen shop since its opening. (A rainy day offered the perfect excuse.) The shop itself is very humble, and the plating even more so, but the food is delicious!Our meal began with chicken karrage and edamame. The crust had a perfect consistency and the chicken was moist. The edamame needed a bit more salt, but was otherwise good as well.The menu doesnt say that there is alcohol, but they do offer sake. (I would imagine Sapporo is available too.)My family and I each got a different bowl of ramen and were thrilled to find each bowl offered a different, delicious experience. My mother had the show you ramen with a spicy bomb side (it packs a punch!), my father had the me so hot, and I had the me so delight ramen. I highly recommend my mothers bowl (show you) to those who are new to ramen or want something simple. If you are a foodie, or bit more adventerous, I would go with the bowl I had (me so delight). (My mother enjoyed her bowl, but even she agreed she would get my bowl next time.) If you want a bit of spice, my dads bowl would be the way to go. If you want it hotter, add a spicy bomb!When it comes to dessert, have their housemade matcha pudding! (If you like matcha. If you dont like matcha, have the mochi.) The earthiness of the matcha was perfectly balanced in the pudding and will definitely be something I may come for alone. (I forgot to take a picture of it, but you can look at my empty bowl.)

Ive eaten at every ramen joint in SD, and this place has its own unique flavor which is delightful. The menu is small but they do everything on it very well, and their house brand of umami pulls off richness without being overpowering or desensitizing. Try their normal fried rice, it doesnt draw much attention but the flavor is unique and shockingly good. The matcha pudding is made on site, not delivered, and it stops the show cold. Five stars. So glad San Marcos finally has legit ramen so close to the campus, and the people are very nice.This place deserves to succeed. Make it rain on them.

The service here is swift and friendly. The atmosphere is nice but I feel leaves a bit to be desired, it’s a very clean vibe which I like from ramen shop with very cool artwork along the walls. The main thing I feel would improve the vibe is switching out the lanterns on the ceiling, the pill shape and uniformity of it feels a little bland, I feel like staggering height of spherical lanterns with mixed designs would look a bit better. The selection of ramens feels limited but what they have they do very well particularly the broths are very good. I would prefer if the eggs in the ramen were cut, having it uncut makes the yolk feel a little bit cold. The serving portion is perfectly appropriate, I left satisfied and full without ramen left over. It is a bit on the expensive side compared to other ramen places I’ve had but the quality was worth a few extra dollars per person. All things considered I would return.

Food:Ramen Mik recently opened March 2022 and has garnered a spot for ramen in the North county San Diego area. The menu is simple yet delicious. There are four or five choices for ramen which keeps it nice and simple. The traditional appetizers such as edamame, gyoza and a non-traditional item that we tried which were the garlic fries with aioli. The fries were delicious and crispy.We tried the traditional ramen and the spicy ramen which were very nice and steaming. The egg was left in a brine that was delicious!. Honestly, it was a very pleasant surprise.Ambiance:The ambiance was slightly lacking. The furniture is Spartan yet simple. I am curious to know if this is a conscious choice for a zen-like feeling. That being said, it was clean and comfortable with simple tables, e.g.4 tops and 2 tops. If I were to make a recommendation it would be to put some art up in the traditional Japanese fashion. Additionally, the noise was a bit loud and tinny due to the lack of acoustic panels in the ceiling which made the music nearly shrill. The temperature of the restaurant was very nice and cool, perfect for partaking in a steaming bowl of ramen.Service:Our server was an amazing person named Erica. She was very attentive and always was smiling. She greeted us with two glasses in a bottle of chilled water which was a nice touch. Every few minutes she would check on us to make sure our food was to our satisfaction.Type: of customers:This restaurant is strategically open near the Cal State San Marcos University, smart move... Additionally, this is for the locals who are interested in some Japanese ramen in the Hokkaido style.Take away:This is a delicious alternative to standard faire. The music is a little bit loud and tinny, but that may be just my preference. The energy in the restaurant is nice and busy and cozy.Give it a shot Im pretty sure youll enjoy.

Ive been spoiled by L.A where you get truly authentic cuisine, at the very least flavorful, and thus my expectations for ramen might be a bit snooty, but my friend who isnt too familiar also called this place okay. And it was just that. It wasnt spectacular, but neither was it in any way terrible, just not noteworthy.The service was fine, the cashier was sweet, but the food came out in 5 minutes, which was startling to me. They also put bell pepper in their vegetarian ramen, which is... peculiar... and yet do not use heartier veggies as you would expect i.e mushrooms (none!), corn, bok choy, peas, broccoli, bamboo, bean sprouts, cabbage, spinach... Also, when I ordered a non-vegetarian broth with no meat and inquired about what veggies to put in, she did not say I could just put the vegetarian bowls contents into it, only garlic and more onion, thus what I got was essentially noodles, onion, and egg.All of their appetizers are also fried foods. The atmosphere is just a small space to eat with contemporary metallic seating that you find in any strip mall. It seems more of a takeout place considering the swiftness of the meal being ready, which is fine if that is what youre seeking and have limited time to spare. Either way, if youre looking for a bowl of broth, noodles, and meat choice then this is for you, but you can certainly find better elsewhere.

Had a great experience when I went to dine in, Arlet our server took care of us and was super friendly and knowledgeable. We didnt know what some of the stuff were and she explained it very well and her recommendations were spot on. Definitely will be going there soon. The place is also really clean and brand new. If you have a diverse palate, then this place is below average (5 out of 10). If you live around San Marcos with no sense of experience of what a real authentic Japanese ramen taste like, then this is your place. Lol.The ramen broth is BLAND. I recommend getting the Spicy Bomb on the side. It costs $1.50 more, so if they give a dot of it make sure you demand for a lot more.The fries with garlic salt is also bland. If youre gonna call it fries with garlic salt it better have a generous amount of salt on it. I only tasted oil.The gyoza is waaaayyyy too oily, but I like the sauce so good job on that.I feel bad for giving this review because the waiters are nice, but I want the kitchen staff to step it up.

Their ramen is pretty decent although when they refer to Hakata style, its not the noodles but the broth, since it looks like they use egg noodles for all their ramen. Given that, would have been nice to have more toppings for the noodles to pick up instead of just vegetables, as the noodles do come off a little bland without that. But the broth is pretty decent.They also have a few rice dishes and appetizers for those who dont like ramen so thats a plus
