Ramenos in Santa Ana

Looking for a new Ramen spot?Ramenos doesn’t just have Ramen but sushi and other items that make this the perfect spot for lunch or dinner.As soon as I walked in, I loved the big open concept. The decor is quite stunning!! We got there when they opened so it wasn’t busy yet. The service was friendly and attentive.Here’s what we tried:🍜 Premium Black- This ramen has tonkotsu broth, ramenos chili and black garlic oil. It could have some used a touch more seasoning and spice. The noodle had the perfect texture. The char on the chashu brought out some smokiness in the broth. The egg was perfectly cooked.🍜 Chashu Bowl- You can taste the char on the Chashu, which was tender and juicy. You can also taste smokiness in rice as well. Chashu and rice are a great pairing.. Perfect comfort food!!🍲Curry Bowl- The flavors of the Curry is on point. A little thicker than I prefer for a curry sauce. But, tastes delish. It’s definitely very hearty.🐙 Fried Baby Octopus- The coating was crispy and well seasoned. The octopus was firm in texture with a little bite to it. Delicious!🍤 Potato Shrimp- thinly sliced potato strings wrapped around shrimp makes a pretty presentation. Crispy and golden brown. Dip in the sweet chili oil.🥟 Gyoza- pan fried goodness🥓 Spam Musubi- what’s not to love. So good!🍣 Cajun Salmon Nigiri- sweet soy-based sauce brushed over the seared salmon. Loved it!! Presentation is lovely!🍗 karaage.- exceptionally flavorful, juicy, ultra-crispy, and absolutely worth getting!🍨 Strawberry Macaron Ice Cream- very pretty! A great sweet treat to end our meal. Not overly sweet. Macaron was crisp on the outside and soft in the middle.I can’t wait to try more dishes!!

Starting off strong, I had this appetizer called the Potato shrimp? Think skinny fries wrapped around shrimp tempura…two of my favorite things so what’s not to love?I’m obsessed with anything eel so when I saw the Unagi roll on the menu, you know I had to get it! Their Unagi roll is pretty solid and hit the spot.And oh my gosh, their Premium black ramen…with the housemade chili and black truffle oil too?! The piece of chashu was so glorious and I could barely fit it in my mouth. Noodles were perfectly bouncy and cooked al dente, and the tonkatsu broth was so flavorful.Thanks for reading! ^-^

Ramen was ok but when I eat until the very end, it was very salty (soy sauce taste). Busy during dinner time.

This ramen taste just like I eat in Japan! I usually get disappointed with ramen shop in US because they arrange or cannot make same way. But this shop serves just like it and I’m impressed. The soup, noodle, and pork cha-shu taste so good. Some people might feel little greasy for Tonkotsu ramen but that is just what it should be. So if you don’t want to eat greasy ramen, better order shoyu ramen. We ordered Tonkotsu Black and Spicy Miso, both were very good. Will be back again for sure.

First time here with my parents.Came in around 6-7pm open theme, alot of room tables were clean.For the area the ramen is good i got thepremium black ramen, which is a tonkatsu broth, chili, 2-3 pieces chashu, half an egg, bean sprout, corn, seaweed, green onion, sesame seed, black garlic oilthen my parents got the regular tonkatsu which has tonkotsu broth, 2-3 pieces of chashu, egg, bean sprout, wood ear mushroom, bamboo shoot, green onion, sesame seed.Overall experience with the Ramen is good, flavorful broth, chashu was tender but some people may have a personal preference for something alittle more firm, although good, it did tend to fall apart like a brisket when mixing or picking up with chopsticks.The pieces of chashu were a good size.The ramen noodles are simple ramen noodles, good for what it was.The appetizers we tried were the pan fried gyozas and the shrimp tempura.- Pan fried gyozas were mostly veggie with some protein and simple frozen and fried/steamed gyozas.- the shrimp tempura was alittle salty, the breading is alittle different from the breading we are used to. The size of the shrimp and amount were alittle sub par for the price.Parents also order the Chefs special Santa ana Roll.I personally cant eat sushi but my parents seemed to enjoy it and they approved haha so its a plus.Overall experience1st time here not bad for the area, if youre craving and in the Santa Ana area and you dont want to drive out too far give it a try. Im sure my experience could be different from yours so dont take it too much as a judgement of the place. Ive just traveled and been to other places in and out of California so just giving the best review i can.Staff was nice and friendly.Food was good.

Best ramen restaurant ever!! I loved the vibe of the restaurant and the food/drinks. The flavors were so delicious and the service was the best!! I will definitely come back and try their other ramens and appetizers. Also, don’t forget to try their macaron ice-cream sandwich at the end of your meal! 10/10 ☺️

I have been to many ramen places in the OC area but this is by far my favorite. The waiter was nice and constantly checking on us, the food came quick, and the ambiance was great! I got to try the chashu bowl, tonkotsu ramen, and shoyu ramen. Both the noodles and broth were light and delicious, and the chashu was very tender! Im surprised they arent packed!

We love this place! ❤🧡💛🖤🤎💜💙💚 100% recommended and my 3 year old son, Felix approves 👍 we love everything from the soup to the ramen 🍜 to the sushi 🍣 even to the music 🎶 everything i just perfect 👌 our server Nikki is so great great. She is always super polite and friendly Everything that she has recommended has been super delicious. ⭐

Service and ambiance were great! Team was friendly and the place was clean with good seating for all groups. If your coming with a group of 6 you should be good. We had the Ramenos, Chicken Ramen, and the potato wrapped shrimp. Great choices all around. Especially good for those looking for cuts of chashu and chicken on the skinnier and leaner side. Broth is good for those that dont want an intense and creamy broth. Noodles were nice and bouncy. The potato shrimp was unique and good for potato and shrimp lovers.Decent place for a quick ramen fix in Santa Ana

Great atmosphere and good ramen a little $$$ not too bad.
