Came for brunch. Service is good, food is fine, prices are terrible. Overall I am happy to overpay for high quality goods. Frankly I expect to when going to a place like Rancho Valencia.But to charge $10 for a minuscule, overcooked sausage link (smaller than what one might find in a pig in a blanket) is a slap in the face. They’re better off not offering sides at all.

Maricela is the best massage I have ever had. Shes knowledgeable and caring. This place is a little slice of heaven. Is pricy but worth it if you plan to stay for a few hours after your massage and enjoy the amenities.
I have been to several areas at the resort & spa, and all of the staff is so friendly and helpful. The decor and atmosphere is breathtaking. They have always surpassed my expectations. The food is exquisite and beautiful to look at. The mix of flavors in the dishes are the best in my personal opinion. I love every time my niece brings me there when I am in town visiting.

Simply Bliss! We stayed for four days and had many plans in the San Diego area, several of which we cancelled because staying at the resort was INCREDIBLE. The service is impeccable, each staff member friendly, knowledge, sincere and gave a little extra in every transaction. The food - All delicious, the rooms - fabulous. The spa - wonderful. The touches of fresh squeezed orange juice delivered to the room each morning and the green drinks handled to each guest as we left a work out class among other special touches. Rancho Valencia has that extra special something that is found in a privately held business. It feels like everyone at the resort is an owner. We will be back again and again!

We had the most amazing time here. The staff were superb and made my husbands birthday so special. They brought us a bottle of complimentary cava and a birthday treat. They even upgraded our room at no cost! I loved the yoga class and getting to use the spa area even through I did not have a treatment booked. The room was spacious and comfortable and the property serene!

Love this resort. Fantastic tennis and spa facilities, beautiful rooms, friendly staff. Grounds and setting are wonderful. Food is a bit mixed - breakfast is first class but dinner a little bit of a disappointment. Youll pay a lot for the experience but an experience worth having.
So we had a horrible experience at the restaurant and the bar area. We spent the whole day at the resort including spending around 5K at the hotel pool with massages, facials, etc... The bar and restaurant was a horrible experiences and lost my platinum card, taking two hours to get food and 20 minutes to even get water. This was a very bad experience and it saddens me that this happened.
I really enjoyed my stay at the spa here for my birthday. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating, and overall the facilities were well-kept. Staff were on a constant rotation to replenish the refreshment station and clean the locker rooms. They even provided a complimentary champagne for my birthday. One thing to note is that wifi is not very reliable and there was no service for Verizon holders. I’m sure most go to a spa to disconnect, but depending on your situation, this could be good to note. Otherwise, I cant wait to come back!

My company had the pleasure of DJing an event there and we were very impressed by the venue and staff. The restaurant was super classy and their terrace has a beautiful view and awesome, cozy fireplace that made for an awesome evening. Highly recommend checking it out!
Dont waste your money here. Go to Omni La Costa spa. We had massages here at 645 and after an hour of relaxation were immediately harassed by the concierge that the spa was closing in ten minutes. Five minutes later, the concierge said to my friend while we were naked changing in the locker room that we needed to leave as the spa was closing. I called the spa this week to air my concern and share that the spa shouldnt close at 8pm and give the guests some grace as we get ready to leave. The manager didnt offer to make it up to us. Honestly didnt care. For the amount of money one spends here youd think theyd treat you with professional courtesy. Never coming here again.

I see clearly why they are award winning. The staff is top notch. Polly gave me the most amazing massage. I recommend the six senses treatment you wont regret it. They had all of these nice cozy spots to relax in. They also have yoga classes. Its co-ed so you can enjoy the amenities with your love.
I had a great experience at the spa. I also had the best massage Ive ever had. If you ever want a really great massager as for Christine. She was very kind and got all my stress out. I would definitely go back again to the spa. I recommend it to anyone.

Fantastic 5-night stay in their Agave Suite which is like a casita with its own little outdoor patio, spacious bathroom, separate living room with well-stocked complimentary non-alcoholic drinks, Nespresso and snacks.I loved the variety of fitness classes (Pilates, yoga, HIIT, spin, TRX) included with the stay. Lots of classes to choose from daily and all the instructors were wonderful teachers (Megan, Suzanne, Brittnee, Veronica, Dory...). I took at least 2 classes a day.The tennis lessons with Eduardo, their head pro, were outstanding. Im a beginner and I took a free class to explore and loved it so much that I paid for 2 more classes.The spa was also great. I had daily massages and the therapists (David, Noel, Teresa) were all excellent in care and technique. I finished my stay with a facial with Julianne which was excellent as well.Finally, the food at the Pony Room was delicious. I ate at the restaurant or got room service from them and it always arrived within ~30 minutes. The best was the Fried Chicken night!I basically arrived and didnt leave the property until check-out and I left feeling rejuvenated. I cant wait to go again!

The Rancho Valencia Resort and Spa is gorgeous and very picturesque. I was there for a Rafa Nadal Tennis Camp and the tennis facilities were top notch. I have not stayed as a guest but I have been to the restaurants which were great.

This is a review for the Rancho Valencia Spa only.As I started visiting San Diego, I enjoyed including this Spa treatments in all my trips. I tried different options, noted my favorites, and even got a package for someones birthday.The last time I visited, however, left a very bad impression. My Lyft ride failed to show up on time and I was running late for one of the scheduled treatments. I notified the Spa 50 min in advance that I will be late and asked to work with me to move the schedule around. They not only refused, they fully charged me for the service they did not provide. It was very unpleasant and disappointing experience, and a very unexpected one from R&C property.I since switched to another luxury spa in SD, precisely, to the one with a better customer service! And To anyone thinking of coming to Rancho Valencia I recommend - STAY AWAY - theyll never appreciate your loyalty.

I had dinner here for a work event with about 10 people, and was fortunate to taste quite a lot of the menu. Everything was pretty excellent all around, including several apps, entrees, and desserts. I dont think Ill ever forget that iberico pork tenderloin. One of the best things Ive ever tasted! The staff was also very friendly, fun, and knowledgeable about the food. This place is pricey but well worth it for a special occasion. I will definitely return for another meal someday, hopefully sooner rather than later!
We chose to stay at the Rancho Valencia for my birthday recently, which also happened to be during the Pandemic. We chose the location knowing nearly all of San Diego was closed, and looked forward to being treated by their “Meticulously Tailored” resort, designed “To Create The Ultimate Destination For Wellness And Tranquility.” I was pleased to find that they had opened an outdoor weight floor to allow for a scheduled exercise routine during our stay and looked forward to enjoying in-room dining from their many dining options.The room was exceptional, and their fitness coaches and yoga instructors were phenomenal. I look forward to staying with Rancho Valencia again!
My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights during January (I guess the off season?) and the place was amazing. I dont think Ive ever stayed in so nice a room, fire place, patio, personal hot tub and swanky bathroom. The spa was great too with an amazing yoga pavilion, tons of hot tubs and decent class schedule. Everyone at the resort was polite and helpful with anything we needed. Oh and the complimentary sporty vehicle rental (for 4 hours) was great for a drive up the coast on a beautiful day
One of the best places for Sunday brunch in North County. Outdoor patio seating offers great views. Kids have a great field to explore and play on which are overlooked from your seating. If you like tennis, it’s got the the best courts in San Diego.
Disappointed. Requested to book a fire pit table at the restaurant, but not reserved. Room was clean & quiet but jacuzzi was not working and informed they are not able to fix during our stay. Foods are OK and overpriced as Michelin star restaurant price range. For us, doesnt worth $1,000 night expense. Recommended for people expecting get away, dont care about price at all.

Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa was one of the finest properties that I have ever visited. I made our reservation for a spring break trip months ago but soon after making it, I received a call from the resort staff confirming and thanking me for booking; this was a well appreciated touch.From the moment that we gave our name at the gate, our cares drifted away. The bellman greeted us by name and escorted us to check in (which was seamless). Complimentary beverages were offered. The bellman then escorted us to our room (a beautiful Valencia Suite). The room was outstanding. Since we were traveling with our two children the staff readily accommodated our request to make up the (very comfortable) sofa bed as well as an extra bed which fit easily in the large living room. The decor and comfort of the room stood out. The very private outdoor patio was one of the highlights of the accommodations; the whirlpool spa and outdoor fireplace added to the intimacy and fun of the experience.The food was outstanding. We ate breakfast (in-room dining) on the patio every day and it was delightful. We had a lovely sunset dinner at The Pony Room; although the food was outstanding, the service that evening was unusually slow.The pool was especially fun for our family. All needs appeared to have been thought of ahead of time. We forgot googles...they were there...we forgot a flotation device for our toddler ...it was there. Poolside sunscreen, abundant towels and ready access to poolside lunch made for an unexpectedly long relaxing pool day for our family.The resort and staff went well beyond my expectations and left our family feeling relaxed and connected. We look forward to another visit.
The premier destination at Rancho. Everyone who is anyone enjoys the beautiful grounds and wide selection of accommodations. Wonderful lobby bar and restaurant for brunch and dinner. Grounds are pretty and lush. Prices are high and higher. Absolutely recommend staying here. Very comfortable setup for large events with five star catering and service. Excellent house wines as well private label.
Most relaxing place to go in San Diego. beautiful property all around and the Pony Room bar/restaurant is always a must stop when visiting. I mainly visit for the clay courts and the tennis pro, Eduardo, is awesome and really takes care of the courts over there
We enjoyed our get-away on this lovely property. Highlights included or fabulous Olive Grove suite with private jacuzzi and steam shower, delicious fresh squeezed orange juice delivered to our for every morning and an excellent spa area & services. While overall our visit was certainly 5-start there were a couple less desirable moments. First the spa area pool felt more like a Vegas hotel club by the end of the afternoon with louder music and a few roudy guests (this was only the case one afternoon, but was unexpected and not ideal). We also felt a few of the staff, while friendly, wasnt very responsive; for instance we had arranged for a golf cart and confirmed the plan but they never showed up. Similarly, when along for dinner recommendations off property the reply was lackluster and they failed to mention fair traffic that made our 15 minute drive over an hour. All in all our experience was lovely and I will certainly recommend this resort to friends and family.
Ive been fortunate enough to have stayed at Rancho Valencia a number of times with my family and they have never disappointed a single one of us... plus, you get quite possibly the most delicious freshly-squeezed OJ delivered to you every morning of your stay.Highly recommended!!!
It was a perfect stay! Literally from the welcome at the entrance through to the final goodbye, the service was excellent. We also loved our room which had a private jacuzzi outside and great coffee from the minibar. I wish we could’ve stayed longer!
This is one of the most beautiful resorts Ive seen. I used to live nearby and we frequently went to eat at their restaurant. Lovely Spanish Colonial architecture, it has the feel of a very large Hacienda, from the mosaic tiles all over the place, the courtyard with a fountain in the middle, the impecable restrooms, I remember I loved the painting of a blue door in the area of the reception. The grounds are impecable, the food at the restaurant is delicious.
Beautiful resort with excellent restaurants, spa, pools, and fitness classes. Also offers tennis. Suites are spacious, comfortable, and clean. You can borrow (for free) one of two Porsches for a few hours! The service is exceptional. The vacation packages can be a great deal during off peak times. Highly recommended.
The villa I went to was a bit smaller than I expected, but the size of the bedroom more than made up for the sitting room. It had an absolutely beautiful private yard with a large fireplace and a hot tub that did seat three adults quite comfortably with more than enough room to spare. The bathroom was an exceptional room all by itself. The toilet was in a small closed off toilet room with a state of the art bidet. The rest of the bathroom had a beautiful large shower with an overhead shower set in the center. The bathtub was equally huge and did very comfortably seat two people. There were his and her sinks separated by a very spacious make-up counter.
Fantastic service. They made a point to know who we were and it was our Annaversery if that type of thing is important. Property beautiful, elegant, tranquil. Ann at restaurant was fabulous with respect recommendations and friendliness. Room perfect wouldnt change a thing. Wifi worked no problem first try.

Our once extremely positive review of RV and the Spa has now fallen to one of the worst experiences in customer service and follow through I’ve experienced. I’ve been dealing with an issue since January and it took many weeks of calls and e-mails for someone to finally return my call. I’ve now being awaiting a resolve of a problem since February 10th. The amount of calls/emails I’ve put into trying to get this taken careful is outrageous. For a high end 5 star resort I’d expect so much more. I’m still awaiting a reply. Extremely disappointed.
This place is unbelievable! Friendly staff is an understatement, everyone has a smile on their face and will tell you what a great place to work it is. I had a massage by Lorenzo, which was amazing. He knew his stuff, and i left feeling great! The Pedicure by Ally was just as good, the milk and honey made my feet feel like silk! And Melissa was kind enough to make my hair look fabulous, for a charity event i attended. Now if you are looking for a unique cocktail.. Have Amy make you their signature Sangrita....so refreshing and pretty! The breakfast is amazing, I had the breakfast sandwich, Yum. And if you need a snack, have Chistine get you some white fish tacos, and the hummus platter.. I cant wait to return to this relaxing oasis!
I attempted to book a room for a bridal party and soon to be husband and wife. After a lengthy discussion, where I was met with hostility and perpetual incompetence, I decided to cancel my reservation. The lack of creativity and ability to come up with a solution for a patron that had no budgetary restraints left me woefully dissatisfied. Throughout my interaction with this establishment I remained calm, professional and kind. Ultimately, the customer service was so unconscionably poor that I decided figuring out a simple solution was an unattainable feat for the staff here.If you’re thinking of staying here please ask yourself one question; is this review accurate, or should I find out on my own.Should you choose to find out, remember this, the very definition of insanity is attempting the same thing again and expecting a different result.
The nicest country club you can imagine. We came for lunch and a beer and left beyond happy. The Pony Room which is the bar side of the club has something like 160+ tequilas available, paired with incredible cocktail servers it makes RV one of the best tequila bars in all of San Diego. Service here is world class, atmosphere is definitely high end but casual at the same time if that makes sense.
Its a true getaway experience. Not that you need to get away from lovely San Diego, but it does feel like youve arrived to a lush, foreign destination with Latin flair.Grounds are immaculate and staff is very attentive.

Excellent spa. Best food spread in the waiting/lounge/relaxation area of all the spas Ive been to. The location could be more peaceful; some guy on the other side of the fence was using a loud piece of equipment and whistling the entire time I was lounging by the hot tub (~2 hr) so I had to tune him out. Extra points for having a cold plunge pool that is perfectly chilled, and acupuncture (Dr. Han (sp.?) is great!).
Literally at their Christmas buffet right now, already asked them if I can bring my dog during reservation and she said yes they could sit me outside, thought I was all set. Somehow the arrangement was messed up and they could not find us a table outside when we showed up at our reservation time. So we were given some random table on a different level than where the restaurant is, just us sitting on a random table, no Christmas decorations, walked pretty far and had to go through multiple flights of staircases through puddles of water to get and bring back food, it felt dangerous, I did worry about slipping down the stairs with a plate of food multiple times. What is the point of making a reservation 1 week ahead of time and asking them if I can bring my dog during the reservation if none of these was being taken into account. And the whole point of getting Christmas buffet is so I could be surrounded by Christmas decorations and atmosphere, but I might just as well getting a togo box from that place and ate at my home instead, if I were just sitting at a random outside table that was not even part of the restaurant. At 130 pp, plus 18 bucks a drink, 380 total for two ppl, this place should get shut down so it does not ruin someone elses Christmas. I thought about going to the Park Aviara at first but choose this place instead because they told me I can bring my dog, my fault choosing to come here because I assume the pricier the better, my fault. Other than that, the servers are great people and those working at the carving station, soup station actually tried to take good care of you.
Had dinner and drinks at the pony room service was truly 5 star, extremely attentive, polite and constantly checking in. Food excellent crowd was good looking and obviously high brow. Great place to spend your Friday night after a long week at the office.
Could not believe the after race track pony party. The worst food I think weve ever had ...Luke warm Mexican food, they posted some nice sea food for our $135 ea admission, false advertising, embarrassed we had a bunch of people join us, left after 35 min. really below standard for this resort, or any establishment, we rarely complain but this is a new low,.
Visited rancho Valencia to see the in-laws. It is the most beautiful resort I have ever been too. Truly a luxurious place to be in San Diego. They were very accommodating to us by bringing us a space heater for the backyard. We had room service from the pony club including the sliders, lobster tacos, and more. The calamari was the only dish that was a let down. Overall this is a wonderful place to be!
This is heaven on earth. Paying close to a grand a day, I reckon, will have people paying attention to you, as they have to us. We have visited the spa- a breath taker for sure and have enjoyed a quiet night eating at the resorts restaurant, Veladora- an amazing experience like no other! My wife and I have already decided we want to come back, as often and as much as possible! This is truly heavenly!
Its a shame that the customer service is subpar, at best. I booked a few treatments for my wife and myself. The treatments were good but I called to provide feedback about the amenities and I spoke with Jennifer who was rude and not friendly. I asked to speak to her manager and was told that Lauren was in a meeting but I could leave her a voicemail. Before I was transferred Jennifer told me that her manager Lauren let her know the results and that I would not need to leave a voicemail. The answer did not make sense to me so I asked to speak with Lauren directly. I was told no, that she already told me the answer and that Lauren was busy. When I asked again Jennifer got very hostile and stated that the issue was my fault. I ended up finally speaking to Lauren who did not seem concerned in the least but trued to push the blame over to the food services vs. spa. Overall, not worth my time and energy to try and help improve the customer experience when they clearly do not care.
Despite the Covid-19 crisis, RVR provided an extremely safe environment...temp checks, masks, sanitizers, gloves for all employees...making you feel as comfortable as possible! Well done folks! Chip was an excellent server and made the visit memorable. Good job! Highly recommended!!
Whats not to love at Rancho Valencia? Polo bar is favorite for food and drinks any time of the day. Service is exceptional. Take in a spa treatment or play a game or croquet before of after. Lovely setting.

Rancho Valencia is an amazing resort that I would recommend to anyone staying in San Diego! The surrounding area is beautifully green and lush. The rooms are spacious and incredibly comfortable.The food at either of the two restaurants on the property is delicious. You can go to Veladora for a more fancy meal, or the Pony Room for a more casual one.The only problem, in my opinion, is that this is somewhat far away from other parts of San Diego.

Rancho Valencia also provides meeting rooms where we hold by monthly lectures on nutrition, exercise, and how to maximize your health. Beautiful place. We were told that it felt like going into heaven, and that turned out to be true. One of the lost beautiful and relaxing places ive gone to. Theres fireplaces, pools, a gym, a yoga and meditation designated areas, tennis courts, free snacks and coffee, you name it. A living dream.

If you are looking for a European/Mediterranean destination wedding vibe while staying home in San Diego, I highly recommend using this space for your big day :D As a wedding photographer... it is a DREAM to work at. We go to the Pony room for food and drinks a few times per year. Its pricey, but reliable in quality and service. The kale salad is especially good.
San Diegos finest resort, it has the atmosphere of a country club with amenities that put the Ritz to shame. Service is always tops and friendly. The decor is as perfect as one would expect.
Now that youre a little a shamed for singing that softly in your head or even dancing to it I have to point out the crassness of the song and the opposing class of Pony Room. The upscale and classic décor while the song evokes images of sweat and leather, not bad in their own right. Like I said all they share is the name. the resort itself is beautiful and doing amazing things with Veladora as well. Ill save the driveway and grounds for and RV review.Big U bar of granite, perfect amount of chairs for space. The chairs are really ornate and are truly chairs and not stools. A tall back and arms, white with gold inlay. Some 2 and 4 person tables more study lounge than bar style. Tall windows and upholstered walls, semi rustic wood floors and exposed beams give an old West vibe without the cowboy grunge. A croquet lawn outside for lounging or actual croquet. I feel like I should wear white pants when I come here. Live music on weekends and Tuesdays.Service is excellent from the bartenders, servers, valets. Country club service without the membership. Totally worth the price and drive if you dont live here. Great craft cocktails to go along with a handful of local and craft beers and considered the area its a healthy amount. Large TVs for watching sporting events. Wine is a bit of a standard bunch, but an oceans worth of tequila..HH. its good because of they try, good food, good drinks, not necessarily cheap, but good value. The crowd is shall we say aged. Not quite as aggressive as the Cougars who used to frequent Wine Steals in Encinitas, but its not... a plenty if thats your thing.Paela is great to split. Tons of seafood variety, flavor and color. Maine Lobster Salad Sliders are small and very good, but your better off going to Lobster West. Buttermilk calamari was interesting as buttermilk and seafood you wouldnt think go together, but the peppers help and the butter dip is interesting, think caper sauce without the cheese or cream. Wood roasted cauliflower is a refreshingly mild starter, but filling like most veggies.If cocktails are your thing the Jessica Rabbit uses fresh ginger and honey, the neck shot uses house made grape soda to counter the serrano pepper infusion and tequila. Speaking of tequila they have the largest selection in North County not only carrying my favorite Corzo and the super premium award winning diamante. Over 100 varieties including a dozen of Mezcal, Bacanora and Sotol which are agave spirits. Its great to talk agave as there are so few people who really know about it while everyone seems to be a Scotch expert. A great place to come and socialize with your group and have cocktails. Who knows you may end up singing Ginuwine.

Funny I live in Rancho Santa Fe and did not realize what was just next door. The Spa is so beautiful, the attention to detail in the ground, and amenities. The staff Outstanding. I was treated by a friend for a day at the spa. I will Be Back
Beautiful resort. Very relaxing with plenty to do. We enjoyed the restaurant and the tennis courts. They were doing some work on the roads and that was a but off putting but didnt ruin it.
Spectacular. A special oasis for those who need an escape, some pampering and/or some luxury. You will find it all here. We stayed in a brilliantly appointed, ultra - private Casitas that felt like home, if your home has the most amazing bed, linens & pillows, a jacuzzi, a steam shower and a robot toilet!As for the property, it is lush, immaculate and inviting. The Pony Bar is a place you MUST go to multiple times, trust me.I cannot wait to return (especially because I heard they are building pickleball courts!
Beautiful, expansive property with its own olive and orange groves, very zen yoga pavilion, great food at the Pony Room, and all the staff was so friendly and attentive. Cant wait to go back!
Nice place for a fairly expensive meal! A little bit in the middle of nowhere, but the service was very good, as was the skirt steak salad I had. The cookie dessert we had was also good. Would go back.

The bar area at The Pony Room and the restaurant (Veladora) are both great. Upscale atmosphere, friendly and competent staff, great wine list, and great food. There are few things to be disappointed about at Rancho Valencia.
I attended a birthday party in the terrace room. From the minute I pulled up to the valet, the service was a 10/10. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is friendly and welcoming.
Set on 45 acres of gardens and olive groves, this lavish resort is 6 miles from the Del Mar Racetrack and 10 miles from Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve.Suites feature flat-screen TVs, stereo systems and private patios, plus high-thread-count linens, espresso machines, designer toiletries and 24-hour in-room dining. A guesthouse adds a private outdoor pool and a hot tub.Amenities include a spa, 2 heated pools and hot tubs; a fitness center offers exercise classes, and sports facilities include tennis, croquet and bocce ball. There are 2 restaurants and a wine bar, and Wi-Fi and luxury car rentals are complimentary.
Top notch dining and service. Beautiful location. I have dined here many times and helped manage an event for 130 people. The evening was spectacular and the staff very accommodating.
The Rancho Valencia Spa was a disappointing experience. While the property is beautiful, the “relaxation room is far from relaxing or quiet. This is the space where a spa visitor should be able to set the tone for their day and decompress, particularly prior to ones treatment. It appears that the relaxation room is perceived as a club house hangout, where the signs shhh... quiet space and no cell zone were not recognized, but even more so not enforced by the staff. First off, warning, it is coed. From 930am-230pm, there was a member watching movies on her iPad on the couch. Additionally, there were loud conversations happening all day with 12+ people in the room at most times. Right after my treatment, there were close to 20 people in the room, where there was literally no where to sit. There were various times where staff came through, and not once was the noise level addressed.And then, at checkout, for there to be an assumed 20% gratuity added to my bill, after this experience, was an added fail. Additionally, upon arrival, I was informed that the sauna was not working as a part had to be ordered. This should have been communicated either when I made my reservation, or at the least when I received a confirmation call the day before.I have been to the Estancia, the Omni, Torrey Pines and many other spas. I have never had such a poor spa experience.Note, I have emailed the spa and concierge with this feedback. I have received no response as of 2 weeks later. For a “5 star” resort and spa, I’m shocked.It you are looking for a relaxing spa day and a true spa experience I would steer clear of Rancho Valencia.

The Pony Room is located inside ofRancho Valencia Resort & Spa.Pony Room looks luxurious.If you seat at patio and drink some cocktails with some appetizers, You will feel brisk winds.I ordered Chilled Jumbo White Prawns,Local organic vegitable pizza forappetizers and Margarita, Bloody Mary,Mojito for cocktails.Everything was good.I drank Bloody Mary with olive,salray and bacon.I felt tipsy after drinking.Anyway, here is good place for refreshment.
Met some friends here for dinner/drinks. The food was fantastic along with the specialty cocktails. Well worth the visit, and will be back here more often.
Spent the day at the spa. So happy we got there early to use all the amenities. Must do!! Did a couples massage. Will come back soon.

I went to a wedding at Rancho Valencia and it was a beautiful venue. We got lucky with the weather, but the fire place and patio were perfect for our small group.
Beautiful restaurant. We had lobster tacos, the French Dip & and the Ahi Poke. All the were delicious, but the Poke was our favorite.
Amazing hospitality and amazing location. They allow to rent Porsche cars for few hours which are well maintained. The things to do are limited for multiple day stay.

During our four-day stay, we had numerous plans in the San Diego area, many of which we ended up canceling because the experience at the resort was absolutely incredible. The service was impeccable, with every staff member displaying friendliness, knowledge, sincerity, and going the extra mile in every transaction. The food was delicious, the rooms were fabulous, and the spa was wonderful. From fresh-squeezed orange juice delivered to our room each morning to green drinks handed to each guest after a workout class, the special touches enhanced our experience. Rancho Valencia possesses that unique quality often found in privately held businesses; it feels like everyone at the resort is an owner. Without a doubt, we will return again and again!

2023-11-24 18:57:44This Thanksgiving was effortless thank you to Rancho Valencia! While we didn’t dine on site, we opted for their Thanksgiving to go offer. Pre-ordering was a breeze and they checked in via phone a couple days prior to ensure my order was captured correctly! Pick up was easy! I checked in at the gate and my Thanksgiving box with turkey and all the fixings was waiting for me at the valet! The staff loaded it into my trunk and off I went! We were able to heat up everything within 45 minutes. Portions were extremely generous. Dinner was fantastic! I don’t think we’ll ever cook a turkey again as long as their service remains available! I highly recommend and hope they offer this service year after year! Thank you!

2023-10-07 00:53:18After spending the week moving to San Diego and unpacking, I was in dire need of a spa day and a massage to soothe my aching muscles. I made my way to Rancho Valencia and was immediately in awe of how stunningly gorgeous this resort was, surrounded by lush gardens, Spanish Mediterranean-style architecture, and plenty of amenities to indulge in after your spa service. Ive been to many luxury spas in my lifetime, but this was definitely in the top 3.My massage with Lisa was heavenly, and I loved how spacious my massage room was, equipped with a personal patio. I spent most of the day lounging poolside and enjoying the many amenities such as the jacuzzi. I even braved the cold plunge pool a few times since I heard there were many health benefits. Overall, the property was clean, the staff was accommodating, and there were plenty of complimentary drinks and snacks throughout the property.Although it was a bit busy for a Friday, it was still the ultimate relaxation experience. I highly recommend this luxury spa and plan to visit again.

You definitely are paying for the amenities and resort more than the massage services themselves. Grounds are beautiful and lush and quiet. Would come back and spend the day enjoying the spa and amenities.

2023-08-07 00:54:32Was here for the Nadal Academy tennis clinics for a week. It was hotter than usual and the tennis courts full.The facility was great, courts nice.Why I rated down? They provided zero water and towels for all the participants. Not even the coaches were hydrated by the facility. The pro didn’t even care to assist, and the assistant said ‘there is a water fountain here to fill up your own bottles’ WOW. Bottles, ice and drinking coolers were on the courts … but empty!We called front desk, nothing. Had to reach the manager to explain there is ZERO water to refill bottles let alone get a drink.This was a terrible example of treatment of potential customers and members.Stopped the bar for drinks afterwards and was argued with by the greeter saying, that all tables were reserved and nothing available (even though only a couple of tables were used). We just wanted one drink as a group.Honestly; treat everyone equal… that’s all you needed to do Rancho. As a group that travels the world for tennis, likely won’t be back to this facility.

2023-05-20 21:24:36The service here is amazing. Its a 5 star Forbes Spa, so the experience is well worth it. Kind, friendly and attentive staff make the experience worth the cost. Plus if you are just going for the day and say book a facial and massage package, you get a credit toward your lunch and can take a complimentary yoga class in their yoga pavilion or other fitness class, or use their Peloton bike and take advantage of their hydrotherapy circuit. These additional amenities make it well worth your time if you are treating yourself to a day of self care. Plan ahead before you go so you can take full advantage of all their beautiful offerings.

Its a ripoff.We booked this and at the last minute they said there were too many people on the beach and so the picnic would have to be in their garden - which is not quite the same...If you cant control the delivery of your experience i.e you dont have a private beach and you cant manage the crowds on a public beach why do you offer this as an activity??Youre treating this activity as a product that you generate revenue from but for clients these activities are more than that. Theyre special moments, things they save up for and dream about for a a long time before coming to your hotel.So when clients are visibly disappointed why wouldnt you offer them some kind of compensation or, shock horror, refund them to leave them feeling good about your property?

All of the staff have always been very friendly, the lobby and front of the restaurant are very nice, decorated in the old Spanish style, so lots of adobe and colorful tiles, etc. The grounds are beautiful and very walkable. I know that they have tennis courts, a spa, and the restaurant is very popular and they host weddings on a regular basis.
