We happened across this new Nepalese restaurant on Cal Ave, and had a really wonderful dining experience there. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere. All the dishes we ordered were impeccably spiced and delicious. We especially enjoyed the jackfruit potato curry!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Rara and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. As a fan of Nepalese cuisine, I was eager to try this restaurant, and it did not disappoint.The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and inviting, with traditional Nepalese decor that immediately transported me to the heart of Nepal. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, providing excellent service throughout the evening.Now, onto the most important part—the food. The menu offered a wide variety of authentic Nepalese dishes, and each dish we tried was bursting with flavor and made with the freshest ingredients. From the mouthwatering momos to the aromatic curries, every bite was a delight for the senses. I highly recommend trying the non veg and vegetarian thali as they were both absolutely delicious.In addition to the fantastic food and atmosphere, the restaurant also offers a great selection of beverages, including refreshing lassi and traditional Nepalese teas that perfectly complemented the meal. The wine and beer menu is amazing ! Staff was superb !

Everything was suburb. The ambience peaceful and calming, the service friendly, and the food spectacular. I loved the charred paneer and charred lamb chops (I’m picky with lamb because of the scent of the meat and this one was perfect). The buffalo momos were also amazing, the sauce was very fresh. The portions were perfect. The shikarni dessert was simple and delicious. Honestly I’m super content to have tried this gem, it exceeded my expectations.

This restaurant serves authentic Nepali food in a upscale setting. We tried Paneer Choila - amazing spicy numbing taste from timut peppercorns, the hand pulled noodle soup was very comforting and so were the vegetarian momos. Anubhav pour over coffee was nice too. The staff here seems a little inexperienced - first it took long time to take our order then they forgot one of our order, and later it took 30+ minutes even after a reminder, leaving no time for dessert. Overall a good place, but the staff needs more training.

We had the most amazing Nepali thali at Rara restaurant. As a Nepali, I found the food to be very authentic. Food is freshly cooked and reasonably priced. Ambience is relaxing and service is excellent! We will be back again and highly recommend to all.Archana

We really needed a Nepali restaurant that served home-like taste in a central location.The ambience is very relaxed with the lighting and choice of decor reflecting on Nepali heritage.The service amazing.Now, lets get onto the food.Chai- on point, got myself 2 cups.Beer-a lot to chose from, depending on your personal preference or the meal pairing.Momo- Authentic as what is a Nepali restaurant if not for momo. The buffalo momo reminded me of Nepal and the sauce was amazingly paired.Chicken chilli and 8848 are good options for chicken lovers but want to try variations of the food.Goat Taas- the flavor unmatched the aromatic spices cooked in mustard oil, nothing like it.Overall great place for dates or going out with friends and family centrally located with ample street parking.

Momos flavors are awesome and the chicken was great! Really loved the jackfruit curry but it’s quite dry, barely any liquid to mix with rice unfortunately.

We had an amazing time at Rara. food was absolutely delicious! Kids also genuinely loved it! The goat curry and chicken akabare hot wings, chicken lollipops were exceptional. Kids love chcken lollipops so much that had to order twice 🍗.The location is perfect, and the restaurants setting and ambiance is beautiful.

Absolutely delicious!! We ordered sizzler plates, grilled chicken and lamb, and the signature dessert: everything had amazing flavors, and cooked to perfection, the lamb melted in my mouth, vegetables were perfectlycooked and the pasta!!
