The wait staff is very attentive. One of the older gentleman was very witty and kind. We were late to our reservation and despite missing 3 courses they went through the trouble of getting us 2 of them. Quiet ambiance. Great sushi.

What an incredible, jaw-dropping experience with Rebel Omakase, Chef Jordan, Deborah & entire staff. The fish is prepared to perfection. It’s our 3rd time and it never disappoints. Their sake selection is top notch & the 19 meal is inspiring. I’d go weekly if I could!
I am not even sure where to begin! I have been eating sushi since I was a year old, I am now 31 and I cannot find anywhere I would rather eat at now. I have lived in CA for 8 years and tried a lot of sushi places, I cannot find anywhere that has fish as fresh and combinations of ingredients as good as this place. My friends found Rebel Omakase when we were searching for a place to go for my birthday in April, I was blown away by not only the food but the service as well. Tonight I returned with my father who has been eating sushi for over 40 years and was visiting from Boston. He was also blown away and has never had a better sushi experience. The chefs here really know what they are doing, the environment is extremely pleasant and both the chefs and front of the house team work in fluid motion to provide a perfect experience. The quality of the fish is amazing, everything is so buttery smooth and packed with freshness and flavor. It was about a 2 hour experience and twice now I have enjoyed every minute of it. The Sake menu is on point, it may look expensive but the quality of their cold sake is out of this world. I will be coming back as often as I can spend the money, it is well worth the cost per person. The staff is super friendly, the sushi chefs were very talkative and spoke clearly when explaining each dish produced, they answered many of our questions and provided over all great conversation through out the meal. I will be recommending this place to any sushi lover I meet. You cannot compare any other sushi restaurant or buffet to this place. If you want to truly get what you pay for, go to Rebel Omakase, you will not regret it. I cannot believe they have only been open for 9 months, their team feels like they have worked together for years. I will be back soon I hope!! Thank you so much for 2 amazing experiences!

An absolute must try for an amazing omakase menu. Service and quality of food is better then some Michelin star restaurants. The chef/owner and staff are so passionate and dedicated to their art. I could not find a single course that was not perfection. The pairing of each quality ingredient was spot on and creative. If I could give 10 stars I would. And they have ice cold draft Suntory beer ;)

Really wanted to love, but not worth the Omakase price. They are very kind and are really trying. But value, fish quality and service are a bit lacking for the $$$ price. Hope they can improve and pull through. Paid $400 Omakase + drinks, for a date night.

Simply delicious. I’ve not had sushi this tasty in a long time. Highly recommend. It’s not a big role sushi, it’s delicious fish just done right.We also went back for the Omakase which was sublime. It’s not cheap but it’s a great value.
You want omakase? You get it. The price is a bit much but makes sense for Laguna Beach. Prepare for the experience of a lifetime.

2023-12-07 01:41:32This place was amazing. The sushi was so fresh, ambiance was fantastic, and the service was great. We had the whole place to ourselves and they even gave us a bottle of sake for a bday present. Uni was just insane. Way better than some other omakase we had in Beverly hills!!

Costly at $220 but actually good value given the quality of the food and the experience - omakase limited to 12 people, everyone sits at the counter and can see the masters at work. Huge variety of dishes, too many to count, with different presentations including dry ice.
