Service was good, it was not too busy when we arrived. We had to check in and wait for about 10 minutes, if not less to be seated. Once seated, our server came quick let us know to scan qr code for menu and got our drinks order.Food is good quality nothing really stood out from other kbbq. Environment is good, it does get loud, maybe because its a little small but you still get good service from the staff. We will be back just because my kids did like this spot as well.

Good quality meats, fresh salad, decent side dishes. A good place to come for all you can eat Korean barbecue here at Red Castle. I like that you can border from a kiosk literally on your table for the water and side dishes as well.They also have alcohol!I really like the fast service, very efficient. Most places you wait 10 mins at runes but red castle comes within 5-6 mins to your table.I really like the prices, very reasonable, you must come to this place, our wait wandt that long either.

Good place to get your casual kbbq fix in. I didn’t want to wait around for a table at other kbbq places during lunch and I usually don’t have a problem getting a table readily available here on a weekday for lunch. Good food and good service.

I was a broke UCI student several years ago. I loved going to this place with roommates for its prices. (I think a lot of UCI students know this place lol). I never knew what the address was because I always carpooled with others, but I remember the name.I am actually living nearby this place now. I was surprised to see it still up running. I happened to drive past this afternoon. It made me feel a little nostalgic from memories of waiting right outside of the restaurant on those winter nights :)

This was low-key one of the best restaurant experiences Ive ever had in my life. The service was just jaw-droppingly phenomenal. Everything you need, with absolutely zero delay, and with a smile and good vibes all around. The food was what youd expect from Korean BBQ, but the service here is next-level. Im no stranger to VIP experiences that cost thousands of dollars, and none of them come close to touching the service quality at this place. And this was like $20 lol.

Very good ayce kbbq place for the price in Garden Grove. Quality meats and tasty side dishes. The kimchi is very delicious, we kept asking for more.The owner lady was very helpful, friendly and attentive with all smiles. Our server Tam on the other hand was kinda gloomy and unfriendly. Does he hate his job? Maybe someone ran over his dog today? What is it? He didnt write down our orders and tried to memorize them instead. Sure enough, he forgot to place order for kimchi fried rice. But he brought everything else we asked quickly. Cheer up kid, and a little smile wont cost you anything.

Staff has been extremely nice and attentive every time i have gone, even when it is busy! for about 45 bucks (with tax) for two people...? you really cannot complain! they have good meat quality aswell, the brisket is so dank.

I really enjoyed the food here. Especially the spicy beef bulgogi! It was amazing. The prices were also great. The staff were friendly. I gave 3 stars for service only because we had to ask more than once for some things. Once our order was taken, someone came to take it again, and no one asked about drinks. Again very friendly and once we got their attention (and maybe asked twice) they did help. Id definitely go again. To me these were just small things Im okay with for the good food at good prices. Keep in mind a 15% is mandatory and added to the bill. If service is a huge issue for you, you may be unhappy with that as well.

We found this place after moving to San Bernardino and craving Korean BBQ. What I really like is that the food is good and the prices are very reasonable. The restaurant is now under new ownership and has changed a little bit from when we first started going there.They no longer have rice paper (which is something that my boyfriend and I really like), and the meat tastes different. I cant really say if its better or worse, but it is different.It seems like the new management is a little more modern though, because they now have a tablet to check in, instead of the sign in sheet that they had before. There are usually a lot of people waiting, so this is a great change.The restaurant itself could definitely use a little TLC and but we go for the food.UPDATE- We went back today and I realized something important for moms and dads out there: they do not have changing stations in the restroom. My baby exploded in her diaper and ai had to go all the way out and to my car to change her. Since we parked on the street, I instantly wished they did have this in their restroom to make it easier.

Our first time here !!!!so far so good... a little dark inside but its still tolerable.I just wish when we visited when we asked for a booth the waiter didnt let us coz I dont know the reason lol but meats are good not too fatty for the price I think its worth it.staff are not so friendly but very attentive.Not too crowded on a Sunday after lunch time so Im happy with that,I wished theres dessert tho but overall pretty satisfied will come back again.we got the cheapest one btw.

Wow, the enviorment is so pleasing and with spacious booths! Marcos has Amazing Service skills! Matter of fact everyone was super friendly and the food was great! My first visit was great! Amazing service, plenty of portions, and wide selections. I felt like the servers here are extremely attentive, and care about their customers. Just keep in mind gratuity is added to the meal (15%) but that was okay for me. Inside, the restaurant was clean and tidy. This restaurant exceeded my expectations. I really enjoyed my meal here and hope to come back again.

OBSESSED with this KBBQ. They play Kpop music videos on the TVs all around the restaurant and the food is SO GOOD for only $13!!! Theres usually a wait that lasts maybe 30 minutes on busy nights, but its so worth it. Not to mention the staff is always sweet as well. Theres one older lady that serves tables and shes the sweetest. And if you want more options like SQUID, you can order up to the $15 menu or the $20 menu, but for me, my go to order is always the bulgogi, briskets, and pork steak, so the cheapest menu is perfect for me.

Great meat, nice service, and lowest price! Brisket was very flavorful. Kalbi was chewy like it supposed to be. Squid was surprisingly good, sweet and spicy hot. Side dishes like kimchi, potato salad, bean sprouts, and chapchae were delicious. Workers were friendly and helpful.

Terrible place to eat. Service was horrible. We came in at 9:45 they said last call was 10:30 which is fine. We asked for 5 rice for the 5 of us and no one gave us any rice.. we asked 5 times .. 5 times and then they finally told us there was no rice left. Why didn’t you tell us that first? We waiting for 30 minutes for rice and never got it. He took the wrong order and gave us terrible service he didn’t even smile or anything or even feel like he wanted to be there. His name is Andrew and he is terrible. He needs to learn how to serve customers or else this place will not have any customers. Then on top of that they add tip to all tables no matter how many people there are. I do not recommend this place to anyone. There are other good establishments elsewhere.

If you get seated in the left corner booth, ask for another seat. That grill is broken and heats extremely unevenly on one side. If you cook the meat on top of the stronger side, it will give off a gas taste.

Hungry and waiting.Currently there is 2 menus.Menu-A priced at 18.99Menu-B priced at 22.99You will also be charged a mandatory 15% of gratuity.When you arrive there is a list where you check in and wait to be called. The wait outside will depend on how busy the restaurant is and the time of the day. Once inside you are taken to a back section of the restaurant were it feels secluded. The decorations and the setup looks rather nice not the greatest but defenetly not the worst I have seen. I came in with a party of 5 and started kind of hectic since it was rush hour. Server was overwhelmed by the amount of people that were coming in. The fact that we were seated on the corner was a downfall to the experience kinda makes you feel left out. Server was helping all the tables closer to the door. We started with our first order and the feast was about to begin yet it wasnt. After our first order of meat we waited around 45 minutes before we got our next im not sure if the servef forgot us or ignored us. Overall I rated 3 stars because of the wait and server attentiveness.

My wife and I lived in Korea for a couple years and I have to say that this KBBQ provided a lot of nostalgia for us!The meat was great, and the sides provided were delicious as well. We both miss the buzzing and bustling atmosphere of Seoul, and this amazingly priced establishment provided that.I would go as far to say that Redcastle is the best KBBQ I have had in a long time, especially for the price. My wife and I went to Gen in Tustin a week before and spent a ridiculous amount for two people. When we went to Redcastle we were in a part of 7, and it was only $60 more than what it was at Gen for 2.Thank you so much!

One of the places that I frequent. Marinades are really good. Meat quality is decent. Service is excellent!I noticed that a good percentage of the bad reviews are from cheap skates that are mad because they had a 15% mandatory tip on the check. Cheap people like you are the reason why they put this on. The servers wouldnt make any money at this location if it werent for that tip. My advice for those who would rather not tip restaurant servers, is to go get fast food from a drive through.

We went out for my birthday, super excited but the service was horrible. We were given only 2 cups for a party of 4 so we had to share our water cups. We ordered a beer which was never brought to us until we had to remind them about the drink. They sat us at a tiny table and sat a party of two in a huge table for 6 people. We were cramped in our area. No one ever came to check in with us we kept having to stop the waiter to take our order. When it came to the iceceam we were told we could only get vanilla yet the other tables were getting strawberry. Our bill was $130 and were told it was one ice cream scoop per person although the menu never mentioned the limit but it did mention other items that were one per customer. At the end we asked that the tip/gratitude be removed to which they said yes, we had to ask them 4 times as they kept trying to trick us and wouldn’t let us see the receipt and the lady kept trying to take the card which I refused to do until she printed a new receipt without the gratitude which they eventually did. Once we left the lady was just Laughing and smiling and did not care about the poor service that was given to us. We kept having to ask for water and for our grill to be changed out as it was black and chard.

We came here since waiting for Star BBQ was too long.We got table right the way which was very good,not many people when we came. All seemed good, we picked up 22.99$/person. They allow 3 dishes per order. On menu stated you have 1.30h for dining.Their server who took order for us, his voice was very loud and rush, he took order and ran away which make us feel like he does not want to be bothered more. We still talk and think maybe they are busy.Then we ordered 2nd times, it was hard to catch the waiter since they not come to our area very frequently. Then we got him, we got 2nd.Thing turned bad when we needed to make 3rd order. We tried to call the staffs, they ignored us. We saw the server who took our order before, we waved him to get his attention but he saw and he pretended not seeing. Another staffs came to clean table, they said they would call someone to take order, we wait but no one came. Then we saw the server again when he bring food for another table, we called and waved hand to him, he saw but left us.We waited for long, our table was empty, only few slides of meet on grill which was completely burned so bad, we needed to change the grill but no one even walked into our area to check.I then got upset, I walked out to find manager. We got she changed grill and take a 3rd order. The server told to supervisor that we called buser that was why nobody came, just like we tell lie. We did not lie for that; the server ignored us, they barely walked into our area. Even their busser called someone to come to take our order but no body came.We then ordered 4th order, the waiter showed his attitude to us when we order LA Galbi for 4 of us with another 2 items. He acted so rude as if we were begging for him. He shouted “ only one order for that!”.Then they gave us another bottle of water, it was water from tap water not fountain one, strong odour. We asked them to change new one, they gave us hot water, they wanted to punish us for complaining I guess. Water was too hot when you eating bbq, we had to ask for ice which is really inconvenient for them but they wanted to challenge customers I guess.About food:Price are: 19.99$ or 22.99$/ person. Not deserved any star.Tip: charge to table 15% regardless good or bad services.They trick you on time limit with small food portion and that your time to find people to take order is already enough to 1.30h. As you can see we 4 people, could only call 4 orders, each order 3 dishes. So the it sounds cheap but it is not cheap at all.We definitely never come back. We paid for food and services not come here to beg for food to be treated like trash like that.The manager was nice but her staffs were not well trained, they think they are bosses. They advertise a price but there was no mention of the mandatory 20% gratuity. We were a party of three so I thought that was pretty strange. They advertise ice cream but they give you a tablespoon of ice cream and if you ask for more then they act upset and serve several other tables making you wait a long time. There is another kbbq in the same parking lot that charges the same, when you add the mandatory gratuity, and for that price you get large steaks and all you can eat self serve ice cream. The place was small and they didnt even use half of the tables, instead we had a thirty minute wait. It didnt look that clean, the seats were sticky and the Kimchi was really dried out like it was sitting in the open all day.The food here was ok but nothing special. I would never come back when Red Star BBQ is a 30 second walk away. I hope that your experience is better than ours was.

First things first, parking is a nightmare.After that, the wait can be torture with a minimal call for your number, so please make sure youre paying attention and within earshot. Do not hang out in the parking lot, its dangerous, dumb and only adds to everyones anxiety.The selection of meats is lengthy, the banchan is mediocre and they dont seem to get refilled often, or at all, but the service is fast and friendly, if you can flag someone down. Its sensory overload with the videos playing, loud ambiance, music blaring but indecipherable over the chatter and sound of sizzles, but the staff is genuinely nice.Prices range from $11-17 for AYCE and beer is available. The quality and seasoned or marinated meats are great, they dont have a problem getting you other plates or replacing your grill either.

Not sure how they got over 4 stars out of 1000 reviews?! Place looks old and dirty. That stupid spin the wheel board is a joke! Condiments didn’t look fresh as well as their meat. They would add a gratuity of %20 on your bill even for two people so make sure not to tip them again if you decide to go there even after reading this review! This was our first and certainly would be the last time going to this place. Just another indication of not trusting the 4 and 5 stars reviews quickly!

Do not bother coming here. They state to order 3 meats at a time. I did and couldn’t finish the food because they are too sweet. I only ordered once and asked for the bill right after. They end up charge me for the leftovers. The thing is it’s not my intention not to finish it; but it is not to my liking (How can you force me to eat them when they are not my preference?). Plus, the 15% gratuity will automatically include to your bills, and they will ask for more tips. I am an easy going when it comes to restaurants but I did not feel welcomed and comfortable at all when coming here. This is my first time leaving a review like this. There are plenty good restaurants out there, save your money and do not come here.

Excellent food👍,, my daughter Cynthia took me for my 1st time on fathers day and i was amazed by the selection of foods. Our table had its own grill and we bbq our foods. It was all you can eat buffet but food was brought to our table as needed or requested.. not once did we need to wait for our asked foods, waiter checked on us every time he noticed our food was low!! However, if your not familiar with Korean food, its probably best to invite someone familiar with Korean names of foods.. i love the spicy sauces and appetizers they have,,,

First of all, while I understand that with higher food prices and lack of employees due to Biden inflation, but we expected a certain level of services and food quality. However, the experience we had yesterday dining here was terrible. Compare to other Korean BBQ restaurants we have dined, this one, by far, was the worst. The food tasted too sweet and the meat fell apart on the grill as if they had been marinated too long. The servers did not seem to want to serve as if they were over-worked and under-paid or just plain rude. Customer service is a must in this industry. Managers, take notice and train your employees to provide better service or you will end up closing soon. Additionally, dont sacrifice food quality that will hurt your Korean BBQ brand.

Overall it was a pretty cheap meal if they werent super busy forgetting about us and our food. Would we come back? Maybe one day in the future. Then to top it off when you finally remember you had a table to just then signal them asking if theyre ready for the check, kind of bad service from my point of view. Would probably give this place a 3.5 star rating because other workers were at least aware that we were present. We understand that it was near theIR closing time and the servers were already tired because they were almost done for the day and they were overworked – BUT WE WERE CUSTOMERS TOO. WE WERE LOOKING FORWARD TO EATING DINNER DECENTLY WHEN WE HAVE TO WAIT FOR 2 HOURS ONLY BECAUSE WE WERE NOT SEATED ON TIME AS WE HAVE PLACED OUR RESERVATIONS. AND AS A RESULT, WE WOULD HAVE NOT BEEN EATING “NEAR THEIR CLOSING TIME” TO THE POINT THEIR SERVERS GAVE US RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, INCONSIDERATE, AND ANNOYING ATTITUDE.NOT GOING BACK – EVER! After all, hearing about a $10 AYCE kbbq restaurant seemed like SUCH a good deal for the average broke college kid. I decided to give the business a phone call since I wouldnt take no for an answer and was more than surprised to hear someone pick up the phone only to say that YES, THEY WERE INDEED OPEN!I asked her how long the average wait would be for 2 people on a Friday afternoon ~4:30pm and she said --- NO WAIT.I KID YOU NOT. THE LADY ON THE PHONE SAID THERE WAS NO WAIT.I hopped into my car with my boyfriend SO quickly it wasnt even funny.But of course we hit some traffic on the road...And somehow, on what was originally a 20 minute ride ended up buying one hour.Id be lying if I said I didnt think our chances were bleak and that we would have to kiss our AYCE for $10 dreams goodbye...So a mile before driving into the plaza I gave the lady a phone call and asked how long the current wait was, and she said, ... NO. WAIT!!!!!Now Im sitting here thinking this is way too damn good to be true. You honestly cannot tell me that on a Friday at 5:30pm there is absolutely NO wait for $10 AYCE KBBQ.And yet lo and behold, when my boyfriend finally pulled into the plaza, we found a few parties in line.No wait, my a**!! BUT, dont let this little white lie fool you.I actually only ended up waiting about 10 minutes in order to be seated, maybe even less!Check-in is done by simply walking inside the restaurant and writing your name and party size on a clipboard. There really isnt a lobby for you to go to so all of the parties loiter outside the restaurant and into the parking lot. One of the employees then calls out your name whenever there is space.I have to say, the turnover here is really high... and I like that a lot! My boyfriend and I were seated in less than 10 minutes and since we didnt want to waste any time we immediately ordered our three cuts of meat and our side dishes!Because it is one of the cheaper AYCE places, you can expect the side dishes to be a lot fewer and obviously a lot less comparable to better or premium locations. I personally dont like side dishes like kimchi and vegetables so I just told my waiter I didnt want any.There are 3 menus to choose from, $10.99, $12.99, and $16.99... (I could be a bit off on the pricing but I think you get the point-- its cheap!!) Based on the menu you choose from, you will get a selection of quality meats to order. I opted for the $13 menu since my boyfriend and I wanted to order some steaks and order steamed egg, yum!The service was great! There was always an employee walking by asking if you wanted to order more meat or to take your dishes away and clear some space. I can honestly and wholeheartedly say that for such a low price you can still get a great meal.I would highly recommend visiting this place if you are trying to enjoy AYCE kbbq on a budget! My only wish is that they served complimentary ice cream at the end. Personally, I prefer to go to Star BBQ next door because of their self-serve ice cream machine, but I think I can easily settle for paying a much cheaper price in order to get some good korean bbq.

The service was pretty bad. It was a tuesday lunch and it wasnt crowded at all and there were multiple times we asked for things like rice paper multiply times and they kept forgeting. The worst thing was that we were sitting down 2 times with no meat on the grill or on our plates because service was pretty bad and again it wasnt even crowded.

A very busy location. Expect atleast a 30 minutes wait if you show up at dinner time.Work exactly like how every kbbq is. Decent cut of meats. The sides were ok, the rice wraps were a little tough.They limited each table to 2 steam egg bowl at a time, so share or eat them fast for more.The interior is a little too crowded and stuffy. Came for lunch ayce. This place has amazing value for the variety and quality of the meats you get. The ban chan makes sense for the price as well. Friendly staff as well. I recommend eating here if you have a hour or two and dont mind smelling like delicious BBQ afterwards.

Good KBBQ place. My girlfriend and I have been here twice now and this place is awesome. Its cheap and the Beef Brisket is so good. Chicken Curry and Steamed Egg is also very good as well.
