Love this place. Big restaurant good for dinner or a low-key date night. The food is spicy 🔥 and can be adjusted to the temp you like. I love the pad key mai noodles 🔥, crab or pineapple fried rice, and really anything you choose will be great. The veggies egg roll were so good too. I add photos soon. I ate this so fast

Red Chili is one of my favorite Thai restaurants in the East Bay! Their food is very flavorful, fresh, and authentic to my taste buds. Ive tried a lot of items on the menu, and whether Ive dined in or had takeout, this place never disappoints!My go-tos are the Roti Canai (an absolute must!) for the appetizer, Panag Curry with chicken, pineapple fried price, and lemon grass beef. There are plenty of other delicious options, so try them at your leisure!As for the pho and some of the other Vietnamese dishes, its good, but not my favorite. In other words, if youre craving pho and your squad is already here, go for it. Its consistent and delicious enough, but I come here for the Thai food specifically. Overall, youll get your South East Asian cravings completely satisfied one way or another.They have a large indoor dining area which Ive never seen full but moderate filled. The service is fine, prices are fair considering its 2020s. Have at it!

I recently visited Red Chili in Hayward and had a fantastic experience. The parking at the back was convenient, and the back door entrance made it easily accessible. The customer service was excellent, and I highly recommend trying their delicious curry, which happens to be my favorite. Overall, a must-visit for Vietnamese and Thai food enthusiasts!

Red Chili has been our go to place for local Thai cuisine for years. Every meal starts with 2 to 3 orders of their Roti Canai. Our usual favorites are standard fare like Pad Thai, Yellow Curry and Pad See Ew. A must have is their crab fried rice!

One of my favorite Thai-Vietnamese restaurant in Bay Area. This is a hidden gem in Hayward on mission Blvd.Great food, amazing staff and lots of options for vegetarian and non vegetarians.They have small parking in from but they do have extra parking space in back.My favorite is Tom Yong soup, yellow curry, red curry, green curry, pineapple fried rices . Their portion size is great and you will never be disappointed being vegetarians one has large number of options and you will be delighted.Only thing-they have to work on is ventilations from all cooking and dining room.

It was the first time I visited this restaurant. We went to the restaurant around 1230 on weekdays. It was slow, so we got the table fast. After ordering, it took maybe 10 minutes for the food. Really good and tasty food. I will be going again soon.

Wanted some pho and this was the only place outside a 20 minute drive that could supply the goods and hey, actually that was a pretty great noodle soup I had. The broth had that great homely quality and flavor. Only thing I would say is the portion size is pretty small you will get maybe 3 or 4 of whatever meat you asked for. Though in fairness, the price is pretty solid.

This is my first visit to Red Chili Thai. I ordered green curry (med spice), brown rice, and pad thai. The only reason I am giving 1 star is because I waited less than 10mins from the time I ordered to the time the food arrived on my table. Very fast! However if youre expecting customer service with a smile or the wait staff to acknowledge youre there, this is not the place for you. No one ever smiled or thanked me or asked how my meal was or tended to me beyond taking my order and bringing my food. The food was mediocre, nothing special. The atmosphere was annoying and loud. The patrons let their kids be loud and misbehave which led me to believe they have little respect for this place. When I was first seated, the waitress sloppily cleared a table for me, leaving food on the table and a used napkin and fork on the floor by my feet. Luckily, the other waitress that brought my silverware and water picked them up. As I waited for my food and observed the rest of the restaurant, it was obvious why the staff had very little time for customer service. The waitresses are multi-tasking, acting as the hostess, bussing tables, taking orders, and taking payment. I used the bathroom and it was very run down and dingy. There didnt seem to be any pride or cleanliness of ownership in this place. The food was averagely priced and the parking was convenient but Im grasping at straws to find any other positives. Needless to say, I will not be returning.

My wife and I have been here a few times now and they always deliver great fresh food and good customer service. When you order in the food is delivered to your table hot and fresh! My new favorite is vegan pad thai and we also get mango this time with tofu!

Parking isnt bad, very little up front but there is a good amount behind the restaurant. Service is overall good, they are friendly and fast. The food is good, but it isnt great. Relative to other Thai restaurants Ive been too the food is not nearly as good. However, this place is still not bad and if Im in the area and need some Thai food this would be the place to go. The overall look and feel of the place is nice, good atmosphere. No booth seating.

I just came for a Thai Tea. I went to the counter to pay and the lady who assisted me told me to sit down, I said no I’m making a take out order. She then demanded that I sit and I refused. Then she asked me if I want a small Thai Tea or a Large. I said Large and I thought I was paying for large but she brought out a small one. I tried to pay with Apple Pay and she resisted nd said I couldn’t pay with Apple Pay, then when she figured it out she said I could pay with Apple Pay. I still don’t think I got what I payed for. It was very poor communication and poor customer service.

Service is terrible, the servers have a face that they don’t want to work here and any special requests are tossed out of the window. I asked the broccoli in my 4 year old’s pad see ew to be minced and they straight up declined it. I said you just have to chop it up smaller…. Nope!!!Won’t go back

I checked the reviews on this place before I decided to eat here. I read lots of reviews that Dont make sense. I can see true that sometimes we act just like children. My wife had Pad Thai and I had fried rice, soup and some other dishes, we loved the food and we got the food so fast. I totally recommend it.

Foods are pretty tasty.1st visit - midweek dinner - it might have been different cook but the pineapple fried rice was okay. Papaya salad was plain or maybe because the shredded papaya was pretty much icy.2nd visit - Friday night - the food were much more tasty 😋. I ordered papaya salad, half moon crepe, young coconut juice (not that young), satay ( more dipping sauce please), roti ( my fav dish but it needs to have more curry please)The one star that I deducted was for the service. Need to ask for water to be filled. Waiter never come around and ask how is everything. They r more focus on large group than the small parties.HARDLY SMILES 😊.

On Tuesday 4/5, my wife placed an order online for pick up. They open for dinner at 4:30 pm, the order was placed for a pick up time of 5:00 pm. My wide showed up at 5:00 and asks for her order, the lady behind the counter asks for her name and phone number. The lady walks over to an order sitting on a table, looks at the receipt and tells my wife you need to wait more time. The lady proceeds to help a few other customers while my wife waits patiently. After 25 minutes of waiting, my wife asks for an update on her order. The lady walks over to the SAME order she previously checked and proceeds to hand it to my wife. She made my wife sit and wait for 25 minutes for our order AFTER checking it and saying it wasnt ready. So our food sat on the table for 25 minutes due to her incompetence. We ordered 2 pad thais and 2 spring rolls, not a very complicated order. And to add insult to injury, the food was mediocre at best. The noodles were clumped together as if they reused old noodles and the spring rolls were simply bad. We will not be going back to red chili and will no longer recommend them in the future.

I love the food at this place. Last time I went there, wife got pad Thai and I got the drunk noodles. Food tasted great. Staff seemed like they were busy and werent always able to pay attention to us which I understand. Just wish other customers could be understanding. While I was waiting, there was this Indian Doordash guy complaining about how he had to wait 15mins for the food. Dude, the food isnt even for you. Theres other people waiting as well. Youre not special. I was waiting there maybe 10 m8ns before he got there. It was even more annoying that he was plaing whatever he was listening to loud enough for everyone to hear. Anyway, give this place a try. You wont regret it.

The food is good. The vegan noodle soup and panang curry with tofu were delicious. Loved the Korean Rib BBQ and Chicken Patay. We tried the garlic noodle sides which were bland.Giving them less stars because service was not that great. We went there for Sunday dinner around 8pm. It took a while before someone took our order. No one came back around to ask if we needed to order anything else. 5 of the workers were on break, eating at one the tables while we were there. No one else was available to take the orders. There were at least 6 parties in the restaurant at the time.

I have a love and hate relationship with this place. I love their food. I hate their service, not because theyre unfriendly, but one or two servers in a full jammed restaurant dont do it justice. Plus, there are phone orders and take out orders to blend in with the whole hullabaloo. My husband and I waited for our dine in order for 1.5 hours. I was on the verge to leave and eat somewhere else. The solution, we call in for our orders and pick it up instead. Dining in this place is somewhat something to avoid. However, their food is so good, I keep coming back.

My favorite Thai restaurant in the Bay area. The food is consistently delicious. We always over order with the intention of bringing home leftovers. All the curries are great. Pad see yu is a hit with the kids. Crab fried rice also delicious. The only problem with this place is that its not very conveniently located.

Food to go is in re-usable plastic.I continue to go every week or so and try new dishes. Im lucky they are so close to where I live in Hayward. I used to live in San Francisco and nothing in San Francisco came close to Red Chili Thai. Eat it up San Francisco, Im glad I left. Its a decent place. Thai and Vietnamese flavours are not similar so to do both well is very ambitious. Tom Kha soup tells a lot and it was okay here. Good quality, fresh ingredients but the soup itself was too thin structurally and sweet. Ill go back and give them another shot and see how the Vietnamese fare stacks up.

First time here.... Loved the plates that was ordered....would love to try other plates. Nice/casual dining room.....tables, clean.....carpet needs to be clean or replaced. Bathrooms are ok with plenty of soap, towels and hot water. They escorted us to are seat promptly and took are order with no problem. As far as them checking up on you, this needs great improvement. They never came back to ask if anything else was needed. Would I go back.... Yes for the food....As far as the service....no problem...theyll just get a minimal tip.

This is my neighborhood spot. Ive been here upwards of 40± times over the past 4 years. Its great. And not only is there a pad Thai better than most places, It comes with prawns included in the price (while it used to be only $9, Its recently gone up to $10.50, which is still a good deal when you consider the prawns and the quality. ) But they also have Pho. Not to mention the tapioca pearl boba drinks with limited flavors but my favorite happens to be here as well, which is Taro... Outstanding!! Also, their peanut sauce is unrivaled. Cost a couple bucks but we typically get a side order of it to go on rice or whatever it is we happen to be eating but my go-to is the Pad Thai for sure. And theyre also open till 9:30 which is a half hour later than most places in the area.

As someone whos from out of town, I went by recommendation from a coworker. The only satisfied individual was the one who got pho. I got pad Thai with shrimp and chicken. It had a weird smell. Turns out there was also tofu and a single piece of .. . Presumably.. fish in it. Even without the tofu and fish, it was far from the best Ive had, but it was still pad Thai.

This is one of our go to spot for thai food. I always get an order of their red chili wings whenever we get food from here. Food is consistently good and staff are very friendly. We order to go about 90% of the time and only eaten in restaurant a few times. Restaurant decor is standard. Parking is very limited here with a small parking lot in the back.

Looking for a decent Thai restaurant in East Bay and found Red Chili. The place didnt disappoint and we really enjoyed the dining experience.The appetizers we tried were Roti Canai and chicken wings. Both very flavorful and tasty. In main course we tried the Pad Kee Mao (chicken) and Panang Curry (chicken). All dishes were good portion size and spice level was as expected from a Thai place. Highly recommend.Service is slow and the people are nice.

I go here often for lunch and love the pad see ew. The wait can be long as I feel like they are always short on staff. The parking is difficult because they have only 5 spots in front. There are about 20 more spots in the back but you have to drive through a single lane alley to get there. Other than that it is my favorite thai place near the area! Their lunch plates are also a great option as they have all of their curries available in smaller portions and comes with a salad and soup.

I go here pretty often because it is really close to my house so my review is based off of an overall experience of multiple times that I have chosen to eat here.The service is always really horrible. There could be a full house of people in the restaurant or even just one other table, but the service will still be slow. They really need to hire more people to wait on others. Some of the waiters/waitresses just seem to not care whether or not they are good at doing their job at not, but I realized recently there was an addition to the team that is actually really good (finally).The food, however, is great which is why I always come back. It isnt about one or two dishes, this restaurant has a wide selection of great food. My appetizer favorite is their pot stickers and my favorite dish is their pad see-ew. I hear that their spicy plates are really spicy so if you like spicy things, just becareful! :) I dont think theres anything too spicy about their pho. I like their Thai plates more.

Great place to go to when you are craving some Asian fusion foods. From the appetizers to the main course and the desserts, foods here are exceptional and consistent in flavor and taste. They combine many areas of Asia into their menus, which are not limited only to Chinese, Vietnamese, Thailand, and Burmese.Pros: Free parking, clean and good atmosphere, spacious, and really good menu selections, Service is good, but on extra busy nights, you will have to flag down the servers to get their attention, and you can really taste the freshness of the ingredients they use. Cons: Only a few spaces in front of the restaurant, and the extra lot of parking spaces is in the back, needs some updating, they seem to be family-run, so not a great system in place, have waited long for some orders. The prices are also a bit on the higher end.Their Thai Teas are really good, and appetizers we like are the satay chicken skewers, calamari, and the sampler plate. Main dishes the family orders are pho noodle soup, grilled beef over rice, pad thai, and you cant go wrong with any of their desserts.

My family and I try to visit red Chili whenever we are in the area, even going out of our way, not eating all day just to enjoy the awesome meals. My wife and I absolutely love Panang Curry and so far, this has been the best we have found. The kids can be picky, but are always satisfied with the simpler rice plates. I went to this place w/ my wife tonight with 6 additional friends. My wife is 15 weeks pregnant. While we were eating dinner, we noticed mold on their sticky rice.All their sticky rice orders are served wrapped in Saran wrap and placed inside a bamboo cylinder shaped container. Well... All 3 orders had mold growing on the bottom of the rice contained in the Saran Wrap.Everyone knows eating molded rice is unhealthy for a pregnant woman and her fetus. However the menu described it as sauteed ground beef with veggies. It was more like a bowl of veggies sprinkled with crumbs of ground beef. Not too impressed.Regarding service, here was the timeline of our meal. Arrive and get promptly seated (no complaints there). Wait 2-3 min before getting glasses of water. Wait another 5 min before getting menus. Decide on what to order within 2 min. Wait 6-8 min before someone noticed we were patiently waiting with our menus closed. Order dishes. Wait 15 min for two plain spring rolls to be sent out (some of the thinnest springs rolls Ive ever had...). Wait another 15 min for two small bowls of soup to be ladled out of a giant prepared stockpot. Wait another 10 min for the actual meal to come out. Consume everything in 10 min.tl;dr waited ~1 hour, ate ~12 minIf this was fine dining, I would probably expect the wait. But the meal was pretty much rolling some lettuce and meat together, scooping soup, and tossing some veggies in a saute pan (with the meat crumbs of course). Ive been here three times the food is ok, but I have been spoiled growing up around really good Asian food in SF. The service at Red Chilli is just bad, it takes forever to get your order in. Part of the reasons is the fact that there is only on central point to pay your bill. Each server has the duty to cash out the bills for each of their tables. Its a simple fix one cashier that just handles the cash and all the take out orders and two waiters to handle the tables. (Not a hard fix). I had a porkchop over rice. Its really good. I would definitely go back again.
