I used to love this restaurant, the food was always fresh and delicious. I have ordered food there since it was Jade Palace and then red chopstix. I got to say the last 3 times we have ordered delivery we have recieved noticeably day old food thats been reheated. When you order mid week. When you get it on the weekend you definitely get fresh cooked food. You can visibly tell the difference not to mention the taste when it is old food. So disappointed. Its time to move on to a new restaurant.

First time there. Waited to be served for 15 minutes then finally brought water, Waited another 15 minutes for her to take are orders! When the food came it was cold and she forgot two items that was ordered. Will not be going back to this location.

Food is disgusting. Chicken was over cooked and very hard to chew. Vegetables were hard as a rock. Flavor was horrible. We will never eat there again. Save your money and go some place else 🤮

Got the worst order (pan fried noodles HK style) my kids used to love them before and its their favorite but with the recent order they wont even eat it, its like buying a pack of ramen and dip it in a pan of oil. 🤑Ordering online is deceiving without photos and their prices went up a little. Broccoli beef is made with somewhat fatty beef and barely had any meat.

Good specials and great service. Honestly I didnt like what I ordered too much because it was so different. The fried food has a ton of breading. If you dont like that avoid breading. Sauces they have are really good I have tried so far. I got the chicken egg foo young and my friend got a sweet and sour chicken combo.

Went for the first time and was thoroughly impressed with their options and their quality. Lots of drink options and lots of food options as well. Parking lot is very packed and the restaurant has dedicated parking for itself right out front. It was perfect for our family of 4 to safely exit our vehicle and enter. Worth the try.

Okay, I NEVER write personal reviews (the exception being local guide questionnaires), but the food was so incredibly good that I had to change my ways. I have lived in Cali for 2½ years and have tried SO many restaurants looking for a chicken rice noodles dish that could even come close to the one I used to eat at my favorite restaurant back on the east coast. Finally I have found one equally as delicious! Mellow on the flavor but somehow still so so good. I probably wouldnt even be able to tell your rice noodles dish apart from the one I used to eat because they are practically identical. On top of that, we also ordered the sizzling triple crown and it was absolutely delicious. My boyfriend said it was the best chinese food he has tried in Sacramento. Everything came the way we ordered it. It was fresh, tasty, and had huge portion sizes for what you paid. My new favorite restaurant!!!!

Used to be a wonderful place with excellent food. Lately the food has been poorly cooked leaving the meat either chewy or undercooked, noodles overly greasy and the flavors just are not as they used to be. Tried to dine in with a party of four... the waitress messed up two of the plate orders, then could not figure out how to simply order the proper plates from the kitchen, Drinks were also inaccurate and refills never happened. Because of the waitress ordering an entire replacement plate instead of a lunch special, the total at the end was higher than it should have been.It should not be a surprise that we elected not to tip as we cashed out. The waitress decided to come back to the table as we were standing to leave and tell us it was unacceptable not to tip because of all the work it takes to clean a table afterward. I could not believe what I was hearing! Excellent and normal service always gets a generous tip, but if the order is consistently messed up and no attention is being paid to the table, then no tip seems appropriate to me.Unfortunately due to the continuing decline in quality of food, and apparent lack of service, I will not be eating here anymore.

I’m so sad. I started coming here for the chicken chow mein, but when I go beyond that on the menu, it’s nothing but disappointment. Today I ordered the tempura vegetables and prawns. They were nothing like the menu picture. Small, greasy bits of broccoli, carrots, and a few mushrooms. The shrimp had a hard crust, making them difficult to eat.

Example I order sweet n sour and sometimes it comes with nothing but lots of sauce and peppers pineapple no no meat... But still giving five because they are very friendly. Overheard one woman suggesting a better bang for your dollar way to order and even a local bakery for a last minute cake for a couple throwing a last minute anniversary party. Great in EVERY way!

The owners are always friendly and they always give extra fortune cookies, hot sauce, and soy sauce.And the food is relatively cheap unlike peony palace. Overall the food is pretty tasty.I have never actually sat and dined here but I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious

Came here for a quick dinner and was not disappointed. Their food is definitely aimed at non-native speakers (looking at you, white people) but their food was good and thats all that really matters. They seem to do a good takeout business so the restaurant was a little empty. We had the roasted pork with snow peas and the chicken with black bean sauce. The roasted pork was a bit on the salty side but was fine mixed with rice. Also had their hot n sour soup. This is the first place that added pork to their soup. It was unexpected but tasty. Would come here again.

Some of the best Chinese food in Elk Grove. I found this place while trying to support local businesses during COVID. What a surprise, these folks have some of the best flavors Ive found in the area. Ive been back a bunch of times and have enjoyed every dish. I definitely recommend the sampler dish.

The nice staff is back. They were under new terrible ownership for a few months, they ran it into the ground. Luckily the old owners were available to restore this hidden gem of a chinese restaurant to its former glory.Parties of over 10 should call ahead, they will make it work. They have round tables, and booths available. They did figure out how to seat a party of 22 people who just walked in... But be nice and call ahead?

This review is just for the vegetarians out there. Three times in a row, I ordered Cashew Broccoli from the vegetables menu. Each time, there was a piece of pork in it. I asked, and they make most of their vegetable dishes with a small piece of ham.In other words, theres nothing on the menu anymore that I can trust will be vegetarian. Not a big deal - just kind of weird. Lots of other veggie friendly Chinese food in town.

Completely inedible. Cheaply made. New owners so beware. I should have listened when told owners changed, because so did the Quality. I thought this was going to be my go to spot. Husband said pork was overcooked. Chicken in the Kung Pao was rubbery, rice and chow mein had absolutely no flavor and tasted cheap. Everything went to the garbage. Wont come back again.

Red Chopstix was an awesome experience. Food is great, atmosphere on point, and the staff is super friendly. Did I mention food was good? I meant BOMB! We got the wonton soup, shrimp fried rice, bbq pork cow mein, and kao pow beef. Great portion for 3 adults and two toddlers. Overall experience was perfect. Definitely would go back again when we visit Elk Grove. Easy to spot while driving

I went there with my kids (baby and toddler) for a quick dinner. They sat me in a corner booth with hardly any room for a high chair. There were only a couple other tables in there at the time, so it wasn’t busy at all. After about 10 minutes, I finally got the high chair. I sat for probably another 15-20 minutes waiting for someone to come wait on me. After no one came over, I decided to leave as I had a hungry child. They watched me walk out the door and didn’t say a word. Apparently they don’t need my business.
