Eating at Red Hot Wok was a new experience for me, and Im happy it turned out so well. The 3 Cup Chicken was a real treat, and the sizzling chicken with black pepper had just the right amount of spice. Those fresh chilies on the side gave an extra kick to the meal.I sipped on a gold beer, but I think it would be great if they expanded their drink options with more Taiwanese beers, rice wine, and whiskey.Im already planning my next visit because I cant wait to try more of their delicious dishes. The food at Red Hot Wok has left a lasting impression, and Im excited to explore more Taiwanese flavors on my next trip there.But I am coming back again to try them all !!

Pretty decent Taiwanese food cooked with enough heat for the real wok flavor. Service was prompt too. Pricing a bit higher than the other similar Taiwanese restaurants around Cupertino area. Overall can recommend.

Generally speaking, the food here is tasty. We love Sizzling tofu and Three cups Chicken with its original flavor. I guess “Three cups” foods and “Shacha” foods are their specialty foods. But it’s a little bit hard for us to adapt to other sweat foods like fried noodles and stir-fry clams and intestines. The service is good and fast, you don’t need to wait for a long time.

Primarily takeout with a modest amount of seating for dine-in. Food is full flavored (best over rice). The Sha Cha Beef did not have very high quality beef, which detracted. Three Cup Tofu was on point - I enjoyed the sweetish sauce and heavy tarragon flavors, though as I recall, the classic three-cup doesnt taste that sweet (still, it was a good dish, especially over rice). The winner in our 3-course takeout was the fried shrimp pie (these classically are made into balls), which was just right and very good as an appetizer. Overall, prices are too high for the quality. Service was good, place was very dingy. They give 5% discount for cash.

Came for lunch with an old coworker. Its got the atmosphere of a Taiwanese tavern with the wooden benches and Taiwan beer bottles lined up at the front window. This place would be a great time after work. At lunch on a weekday, there were tables open, and we got seated right away.I loved the braised pork rice (lu rou fan), just brings me comfort.... just like how momma used to make it?... no, because my mom never made it, but it was delicious! Kung pao chicken was also good, but its kung pao. They have bentos that looked really good, but we opted for the entrées cause we were sharing.The verdict? Id come back again and bring more friends.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the area without a doubt. My favorite dishes are the silk squash with salted duck egg and the braised tofu with salted duck egg. The service is extremely fast and while you’re likely to encounter a lineup it does move pretty quickly. If you’re not into waiting for a table, takeout is an option as well and it’s also lighting fast.

This is my second time dinning in Red Hot Wok (好客棧). The food here is delicious and reminds me of the food in my country, Taiwan. However, I will really recommend people to come during lunch time as the restaurant was so busy at dinner time and it makes the food served less finished. But overall, a great place to grab some Taiwanese food!

Serving was really fast - even at 12:30 on a Saturday most of our dishes were served in 10-15 min. Three cups chicken took the longest - probably 25min and with very decent portion. Ordered three cups chicken, stir fried cabbage, grounded pork rice bowl and the moon shape shrimp cake. Love the rice bowl, very legit. The shrimp cake’s filling is shrimp that’s totally shredded - personally like it to be not that chopped so you still can get some shrimps to chew. Must have it along with the sweet chili sauce. Overall generous portion as 2 of us can’t finish the four dishes we ordered - the rice is bigger than we thought. You can always park around in the neighborhood which is literally 1 min walk - the plaza itself is super small.

The house ground pork rice bowl literally took a minute for them to serve it... Delicious.There is a parking lot outside so you should be able to find parking fairly easily. This place has a lot of benches and tables for seating so you can come with a larger group too, but most customers seem to be individuals trying to grab a quick meal after work or something.Staff are friendly. Remember this is cash only up to $30 or something, so make sure to bring cash as there is no ATM in here.

Its been a while since we ate at Red Hot Wok. We did takeout this time. The price is a bit pricer than before, but we were happy with the portion. We ordered a shrimp moon pancake (鲜虾月饼) (this is almost the must-try here), ground pork rice (卤肉饭) and house special ribs (客栈排条). All the flavors are really nice. These might be our go - to dishes from now on.

This place is is one of the best for Taiwanese food, and is excellent for family style dining! They serve a variety of delicious dishes, and affordable too. Its hard to find places around the Bay that serve better Taiwanese food as them. I was pleasantly surprised that the queue wasnt that bad, given the quality of food there, it could be due to the unassuming look of the place. Definitely worth a try. My favorite dishes were the mayo shrimp and the sausage fried rice!

Everything Ive had here is consistently good! Even though the interior has limited seating Ive never waited long for a table. This is because the servers are incredibly efficient and the food comes out super fast! All the food gets to my table piping hot, so it really lives up to its name - red HOT wok ;)Its hard for me to recommend a specific dish because EVERYTHING is great. I love the sizzling plates and the fragrance of cooking meat. I always get at least one eggplant dish because they cook eggplants PERFECTLY here. Trust me, eggplant is my favorite veggie and I always order it no matter what restaurant or cuisine I try. The eggplant at Red Hot Wok is the best Ive tried in a restaurant - perfect size cut, perfect cook (not too mushy), and flavorful sauces.I brought my friends here, then my boyfriend, and Im planning on bringing my boyfriends family next!Note: the parking lot is small. I recommend street parking if it is full, but make sure to read the street signs.

Grounded Pork Rice Bowl is awesome! Crispy shrimp with Pineapple is also good. Moon shape shrimp cake is so so, may tastes better with sweet&sour sauce. This is not a bad place. But if we are talking about traditional flavor of Taiwan then it is not the best place. Ordered the braised pork belly over rice, it lacks the flavor and they put too much sauce that is almost like a soup dish. The fried pork chop is good. The eggplant is a bit bland. I came here for a weekday brunch and was seated immediately indoors! I got the sizzling tofu and the three cups chicken and oyster and the oysters were so tasty and actually packed a punch for how small they were. The sizzling tofu was fun to watch come out and the texture was fried and crunchy as well. The chicken was flavorful though quite salty, we had a ton to bring home as well since the portion sizes were large. Overall, solid Taiwanese food and a comfortable ambiance. It’s a little dim inside.

Its not easy to find good taiwanese food here, let alone authentic taiwanese food. there arent a lot of tables inside but please support this small restaurant and come with a big group. the menu is geared towards family style dining so get a bunch of different stuff and share it all.

Parking: Adequately large lot, sufficient but for the busiest times.Service: Came for an early Saturday lunch, got seating right away. However, pretty big crowd waiting as we left. Servers were attentive and snappy, making active menu suggestions when we seemed unsure. Dishes came out readily and speedily.Food: Impressively large variety of dishes. There were plenty of vegetarian options. All dishes were heavily flavored, perhaps too much so, though they were all tasty. Standout was the pork ribs, which had the tenderness of a good BBQ but with a very Chinese marinade. Finished our meal with some shaved ice that went over perfectly on a hot summer day.Definitely worthwhile for repeat visits!

Red Hot Wok is a tiny restaurant in a random strip mall in what feels like the middle of nowhere. I had a visitor from Florida requesting Taiwanese food so I was excited to try a new place, especially after I saw photos of shaved ice.Food is as good and greasy as youd expect for a casual asian restaurant. We ordered the eggplant, fried rice, 3-cup chicken, ribs, and mixed fried dish with popcorn chicken, squid, and pigs blood sticky rice. I needed a nap after this meal!The 3-cup-chicken was full of bone fragments 🫤Shaved ice was disappointing. You can see in the photo I t was mostly syrup and some mango. For the price we should have gotten more shaved ice. Its just water and flavoring! For the same price you can get shaved ice at Meet Fresh with tons of toppings.I love that it’s a family run business and their son was helping by clearing tables and wiping them down. I pointed this out to my own children who could learn from this!

The food at Red Hot Wok is fantastic. Ingredients taste fresh not overly salty and there are a ton of options to choose from on the menu. Ambiance is a little lacking and its a little cramped inside but thats ok as long as you expect it.Wait times can be long but the staff has a good system of taking your order outside and then your food is ready by the time you are seated. Service is ok, you cant split a check so keep that in mind if you are going with a group. Parking is pretty limited. Overall excellent food with a few minor trade-offs in location and logistics.

I’ve been here twice now and the food is excellent - this is my new favorite Taiwanese spot. I love the minced pork rice and the ribs are a must. The Chinese spinach was good, and shrimp cakes were different and interesting. No reservations, you have to put your name down and there’s often a wait. Parking lot is limited but street parking is plenty. They only allow 1 card on the bill and won’t split checks.

Most authentic Taiwanese/Chinese food I’ve had in South Bay yet. The wait is short, the food comes out very quick, is cooked to order and tasty. The clay pot chicken is a must order, though it takes a bit longer to cook, it is full of flavor and I love the chunks of garlic and ginger in it. Everything else was solid. Reasonable prices and plenty of parking (if you park on the street or across the street). Only reason I gave 4 stars is because I don’t think they used enough seasoning in their dishes, they lacked a full and satisfying flavor, especially in the eggplant dish. Overall good place if you want some authentic Taiwan food.

I gave 3 stars but I feel this place probably worth 4. We only ordered two dishes... Cant really tell if its that good but the dishes seemed very Taiwanese homemade dishes.Houses special ribs - Pretty tasty, lots of sauce, the meat fell off the bone. They probably pressure cooked it and then 走油 (briefly do in a fryer to crisp it up)Basil clams - Thats the reason I gave 3 stars instead of 4. So much sand in the sauce and the clams. I was literally splitting out sand, and with the sauce for the rice, the rice got sand in it. Not a very pleasant experience. Taste wise is ok. Sauce seems to be similar to the House special ribs.

Came to eat on a Tuesday night, couple of tables open. We mostly went with what the waiter recommended. The kung pao thousand year egg and the salted duck egg silk squash were my favorites, very unique and well done dishes - highly recommend. The herbal lamb soup was also really good, the lamb was super tender (herbal taste is very strong though so make sure you like herbs). The three cup chicken is supposedly the staple but despite being super tender, the center of the chicken was just a little bland. We also got sweet and sour salmon which was okay as Im not a fan of sweet and sour, fish was in small pieces and nicely crisped around the edges. Lastly, I used to look forward to shaved snow here but it has completely changed. Its no longer in sheets, the snow tastes artificial, and there are sprinkles.

This place is sO good. One of my fav Taiwanese style food. Portions are good and the flavor is amazing. We always order the squid with ginger because its so tender and they give you so much! You could technically order it as a soup too since they use a lot of broth. Special fried rice is so yummy and not oily. Everything they make isnt oily and made fresh. Also they offer shaved ice cream as a dessert! If you have room after dinner, definitely try it out! Very fluffy ice cream! Warning though, it is very popular Friday and Saturday evening. We had our dinner on Sept 11 before 6pm at Red Hot Wok, Cupertino. After being served two dishes, we waited for so long for the third and last dish to come. This is first not-so-good experience. Overall food is okay.The worst has yet to come.On the same night Sept 11 at about 830pm, my mother started to rush to toilet to vomit and signs of diarrhea began. The situation got worse until we needed to call 911 and rushed to hospital. My mother suffered the ordeal of vomiting, diarrhea and cramping stomach for hours. She is diagnosed as sepsis and food poisoning. Finally, She is discharged from the hospital on Sept 13 before noon, after 36 hours in the hospital. All in all, thats the longest 39 hours our family ever had.The hospitalization bill has costs us an arm and a leg, not including doctor and ambulance charges yet.The only lucky thing was both my brother and myself felt stomach discomfort but manageable. We are still observing her closely.

Great hole in the wall Chinese restaurant. This restaurant has a large variety of dishes for a relatively small place: rice and noodle plates with beef, lamb, and chicken, lots vegetable and vegetarian options, soups and appetizers.I found it completely randomly and went with friends with diverse tastes, from the picky teenager type to the seasoned and adventurous connoisseur, and everything in between. We took our time selecting from the menu and even requested a dish prepared in a special way.Even though this was our first time, they accommodated us as much as they could under the circumstances.We took the food home. The place is cozy and casual (wooden tables and benches) and fairly busy for a regular Thursday night.The food was simply awesome all around and everyone was pleased! Had the worst experience dining here.1. Tofu gone bad. It tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge for months. They had to remake our dish to bring out fresh tofu.2. Horrible customer service. The lady who took our order was so rude. She kept rushing us to quickly order, and when we finally did, she insisted that we didn’t order enough food and forced us to order one more item.3. This is a Taiwanese restaurant. If you are looking for Americanized Asian dishes such as those at Panda Express, you will not find them here.The food here was delicious! And they arent kidding about the wok being red hot!!! It seemed to take less than 5 minutes before our dishes were served!We had the stir fry shredded pork noodle, which exceeded our expectations! I’ve been a customer here 6 other times and never had a problem until this evening. Food is great, amazing in fact. That wasn’t the problem. The problem was I didn’t have enough cash and didn’t spend enough to meet their $25 minimum for credit cards. So I ordered another beer(their “Gold medal”) to meet that minimum. The first was a large and just fine, the second was a small and was off and bad. When I brought that to their attention and asked for another one because it was bad I got yelled at by both a server and the manager. They told me it was the same beer. I explained to them that the beer was off and tasted bad(drank one just after the other) and they yelled the same thing back at me. No customer should ever be yelled at in a crowded restaurant and made to feel bad for something that was not on them! Be warned, if you get something bad and complain...expect to be yelled at here!

That’s the nature of Taiwanese cuisine being cooked on a wok (hence the name of this place). Don’t complain that it will break your diet. You can always go back to Sizzler’s salad bar.Don’t bring your cashmere sweater or dry-clean only apparel. The smell of the food and smoke will stick to your clothes, skin and hair.
