Red Lantern in Brea

First time visit today. Old place that needs a good clean and updating. The positive is they offer lunch specials every day of the week. Service was rushed and lady didnt have much personality. Im used to fried rice that has pieces of egg and veggies in it... theirs did not. I asked for my tofu to be extra crispy and it was soggy. Would I come back...maybe...but would bot be in a rush to do so as Panda Express has better tasting food.

So far one of the better places I have found for Chinese food in the area.

Stopped by for lunch, we had the Brocolli Beef and Orange Chicken of the lunch menu. It came with soup, rice and an egg roll. We also ordered chicken chow mein. The food and the service was good.

Pretty good take out. I thought the portions were generous and food was pretty legit. Their take out is very efficient. You call in and they are ready within 15 minutes or so. Everything was pretty tasty and not too oily. During covid times, they seem to have a pretty organized system where you can stand outside and wait. There isnt too much overcrowding because they blockade where customers can stand. I would come here again.

I have ordered lunch online several times, I have never had an issue, the order has always been correct, the delivery has always faster then expected, and the food is delicious. Great Lunch/dinner spot!

Its no New Shanghai in Lake Forest! That remains our #1 always. This was ok. Doing some things fairly well, but not amazing. Ok flavors, but I wasnt thrilled with the quality of the meat. Cream cheese wontons had little flavor. Paper wrapped chicken had no flavor and was questionable as it if it was completely cooked inside. Teo main dishes tasted very similar though claimed to be different sauces. Busy and understaffed, so seemed to be in a hurry. This place I call a hole in the wall eatery. It is located in a non-descript shopping center. The food comes out piping hot and quick! I would go there for lunch everyday if I could. Just about anything you order is going to be good here.

The atmosphere is bad humid inside even with the door open. The female Asian lady at the service is rude she will give you attitude. Their food is good but the customer service speaks for itself DONT treat your customers BAD. She should be fired every time I go it’s always her bad attitude. I feel discriminated as a Hispanic because I feel that she took one look at me and decided to treat me unfair. She was laughing, giggling, and having conversations with a white couple next to us. And when it came to us her positivity or spirit was the opposite.

Horrible atmosphere. The second you walk in you can tell the employees seem irritated and annoyed. The counter lady is so rude talks with such an attitude. i cant even take a second to decide what i want without her rushing me and telling me something. i tried placing a phone order and omg the lady made is so difficult and frustrating. She literally screams at you. im not the only one who’s experienced this look at the other reviews and on yelp.

I am an employee at Kindred Hospital Brea, and the delivery guy came at 12:16 to leave food for our house supervisor and he said she still needs to pay cash i said i will call and let her know you are here but there is a rapid response and is unable to leave at the moment and before he left he called a lady at the restaurant and gave the phone to me, she was really rude first off and I tried to explain the situation and she said let kindred brea know we will never deliver there agin and he left at 12:22. Remind you this person who ordered the food from there orders there alot and this is the first time this situation happened and as a business they were not understanding and did even give her 10 mins due to the situation. I will not be ordering there ever aging. Very unprofessional, rude. If I had a choice I would give no stars.
