My boyfriend and I recently visited this restaurant and was thoroughly impressed with their delicious food and friendly service. I ordered the house clam chowder and my boyfriend ordered the chicken pesto sandwich with garlic fries, and I have to say that it was one of the best meals Ive had in a while.The chicken pesto sandwich was perfectly toasted, and the pesto was packed with flavor, complementing the juicy chicken perfectly. The garlic fries were crispy and flavorful, and they were the perfect side to the sandwich. The portion size was generous, and I appreciated the fact that everything was made fresh to order.The clam chowder was creamy and savory, with chunks of tender clams and potatoes in every bite. It was the perfect comfort food.The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and welcoming, with friendly staff who made me feel at home. The service was prompt and attentive, and the food arrived quickly and was hot and fresh.

Love this corner spot. The owner makes you feel welcome and serves some nice dishes. I have had their pasta, pizzas and fried chicken. One of my fav’s in the area.

Our first visit to this restaurant and we were blown away! Lovely atmosphere with attentive staff and excellent food. It is very obvious that the owners of this restaurant know what they are doing. They are doing everything right to please their customers from a kind greeting when you arrive, to heated plates that keep the delicious food warm. A delightful experience; we will be back.Update: still loving this place and their wonderful menu. We are happy to see the continued growth of happy customers and the success of such nice owners. They continue to put out awesome food!

The food is delicious and the staff is wonderful. I had the Caprese, Cherry Tomatoes Pasta, and Smores Pizza.I sadly ate the Caprese so fast that I forgot to take pictures. It was fresh, delicate, and delicious. The Cherry Tomatoes Pasta was similar. Light, not too salty but still flavorful. The sauce goes wonderfully with the garlic bread. Lastly the Smores Pizza was mind blowing. Semi sweet and dark chocolate makes it delicious without being too sweet. Great triple pairing!

Good ingredients but flavor and quality just isnt there. Burger was bland, iced tea watery, fries not great........Place was empty, but no follow up to refill drink or anything. After we were done they asked if we needed anything.Perhaps other items on menu are better, but doubt it.

Just Opened! 2 different IPA beers on tap $5 a pint! The pizza was delicious! Our server Jackie was the Best! Nothing like a beer and a fresh brick oven pizza! I’m coming back for sure!

Had a wonderful family dinner here with a large group. The proprietor set us up in a cozy area so we could visit without being rushed.The food was fantastic and our family included a 5 year old and 80 year old. Everyone left happy and full. We had the cheeseburger (couldn’t be beat) clam chowder, sangria, cheese pizza, spaghetti and meatballs, meatballs, fries, garlic fries, and tiramisu. This is a great restaurant and we’ll definitely be back in the future.

My first experience at Red Rooster was absolutely delicious. Our friends, who are regulars, recommended this restaurant. I ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich, which was a crispy and I like the jalapeño sauce with it. One friend opted for the rib eye steak and he was impressed on how perfectly cooked it was, describing it as one of the best steaks he’s had. (Currently you can pick between 3 different cuts, new York, rib eye and filet mignon.) They also have a nice selection of drinks and I recommend getting the cookie ice cream for dessert!The owners were warm and accommodating, especially towards our friends who brought their child along. It added a personal touch to our dining experience.Highly recommended!

Food was delivered to the table barely warm ( my dinner was left on the counter at the kitchen for at least 10 minutes) for example. They do not have enough people to wait all of their tables. Never did get a refill on my soda.

The fried chicken sandwich was outstanding..Best Ive had in a long time! Everyone was friendly and greeted me as I came in and said goodbye when I left. The service was stellar and I could tell how much they care. I highly recommend Red Rooster and hope everyone who reads this tells their friends to support this wonderful place.

The chicken was nice and crispy, but lacked flavor. They charged us for garlic bread which was just a few pieces of sliced French bread with a garlic butter on it.

Looking for a good place to eat with my mom. We found this place. Nice and quiet cozy for lunch. We had the fried chicken sandwich and fries. Chicken was very well cooked and the coleslaw and aioli sauce amazing. Great service and we will return.

Red Rooster is a hidden gem in San Rafael. Anh, Chi, and Miguel are amazing staff. The pizza is amazing with the pizza oven ! Always feel welcomed when I come in. Not to mention $5 IPA’s everyday!!

I really want to like this place. Nice folks running it. But I had a terrible pizza and the folks with me were also not happy with their food. My advice: hire a chef. I can find better pizza at at least 4 different locations within 1 block. The food has to get better or this place wont survive.

I kept overlooking this place for some reason, but we went in today and it was excellent! This will definitely become a regular place for us. The buttermilk chicken sandwich was super tasty, and the meatball sandwich was everything you could want in a meatball sandwich. Service was stellar. Go now while seating is easy, because this place will catch on soon and youll have to wait to be seated!

From out of town and swung in here on a whim. So pleased to find a beautiful & quaintly decorated place with very friendly staff. Food was delicious. I’m picky about clam chowder and it was so good. Also, had the burger and both desserts that were yummy. Even met the sweet owner who explained it was their ‘soft opening’. Go try this place!

Loved this new affordable entry in the San Rafael scene. Light lunch with permissible wine, good calamari and Caesar salad with prawns. Skillet cookie with ice cream is a plus. Attentive service and smart decor. Go.

Ignorant and reckless owner who places menus all over town and in womens car door handles and windows. I called to speak to manager to advise not to do this in certain parts of town where it may be dangerous to add an extra step for women to take before getting into their car safely (like those of us who work outside the soup kitchen) the owner claim trafficking women altogether isnt a thing and said I need psychological help if im actually worried about being in danger like that. He refused to even acknowledge he was the manager on the phone until I repeatedly asked then admitted he was the owner. I will never support this ignorant and reckless business owner or his establishment because of the way he talks down to and gaslights women completely ignoring their safety. E

Caesar salad with fried chicken. Unfortunately the chicken wasnt fresh, just warmed up. Fettucini with Scampi Shrimp was tasty, but not much.
