I chose this restaurant for my husbands birthday 1000/10 I made the reservation 2 days before. I loved the treatment they give you, the chefs are in charge of bringing the dish to your table and explaining what it is made with. The atmosphere is very nice, it feels very private since the place is a bit small but it makes you feel comfortable, the price $75 per person in total 3 dishes + dessert (total 4 dishes per person) they offer beers and wines for you to choose how you want to complete the culinary experienceThey also gave to each girl a little gift was a Korean face cream 🫶🏻A little but lovely Detail

The food, service, and atmosphere was amazing!Because dinner starts at set times, come at your reservation time as they need time to prepare and will let you into the restaurant exactly at the reservation time.They were accommodating to restrictive diets: one of the people in my party was pescatarian so I let them know in the reservation ahead of time. they were able to accommodate and she said the food was amazing!!The food was incredible: very unique but so delicious and filling! The entree and dessert were the highlights and I loved how the chefs came up to let us know what was in each dish.We’ll be coming back and highly recommend to anyone!!

Oh my goodness. Oh my goodness. Is this the place or what?! Came here for the August menu and I was in blown away with every dish that came out. Set menu so everyone in this place is eating the same thing unless theres substitute for vegan/pescatarian/meat lover whatever you are, these chefs will whip something up for you. Came here for a lovely date night and sat at the counter. I recommend the counter seat if theres two of you. Watching these chefs in action working as a team assembling your dish and them peeping over like, yeah I made that!. There was a lady sitting behind us demanding to speak to the chef in charge. Of course I decided to eavesdrop! The lady said this is the best dinner shes had and why this place doesnt have their star yet. I would have to agree with this lady I was eavesdropping on as well! Honestly, one of the best part about this place is time. I recently had dinner at this restaurant that took like 3.5 hours to serve everything. Aint nobody got time for that! Appreciate the team and will definitely be coming back!

Nice little restaurant with a fine dining touch! They offer pre fixe menu for about $75 and optional wine pairing at around $40. The food is tasty and presented well, apparently the team put in a lot of effort into making them. Wine pairing was also spot on and didnt have crazy mark up like many fine dining restaurants. Overall really impressed and will definitely visit again.

Delicious Korean fusion restaurant using seasonal local farmers market ingredients. All the dishes are delicately made and taste great. The server introduces the dishes very well, and they were very fries. The July’s menu main dish was beef steak with special kimchi flavored fries and sauce. The portion was large enough to feed me. Notice that they only offer the prefix menu, so there are no extra food orders available on the menu. But they do have a variety of drink items. Maybe the downside is there no restroom in the place, you need to walk to the shard one in the building. We definitely want to try different menus here in the future.

This is by far the best food experience in the south bay.You cannot wait inside the restaurant until your reservation time, and it makes sense! They have a pre-fixed menu for $78 for every batch of people. They have Wine pairing for $43 which the chefs paired really well with the food.Atmosphere is cozy and warm with authentic service that touches your soul.The food quality and quantity is amazing.Also, if you sit by the bar, you get to watch the chef do their magic. Precision at its best!Absolutely worth every penny

Gish? More like oh my GOSH everything is so delicious here! We went on the first day of their new menu and honestly I cannot remember every little ingredient in their menu because it’s so fancy but it was all delicious and the highlights for me, were the onion bacon jam in the second course and the celery ice cream! Owners and staff were so kind, professional and welcoming, and you can tell they put a lot of work and thought into their dishes :)

My family had dinner at Restaurant Gish last night and we absolutely loved everything we were served. It was our parents’ first fine dining experience and Gish made the experience exquisite. First off, drinks were delicious and their wine pairing (fabricated by a professional sommelier) was right on the point! Four course prix fixe was delicate and exceptional. Delicious, full of familiar flavors maneuvered in extraordinary ways. I can’t compliment the chef enough about the food. But foremost, I’ve never had more comfortable experience at a fine dining restaurant. Huge commendations to everyone at Gish and I recommend everyone to try this place before they win the Michelin stars and reservation becomes impossible.

Interesting and practical location, in the back of the building. Stiil, comfortable setting, seats about 20 guests. Open kitchen which is always attractive to us. Not too many courses, but filling. Attention to plating, good! The seafood salad was refreshing. The soup was lukewarm, with al dente peas which was not my favorite. The duck main course was done nicely, tender. The celery roots ice cream was creative and pretty good. 1.5 hours dining is not very long, felt a bit rushed.

I had one of my best fine dining experiences in the Bay Area at this restaurant. I was here to celebrate my 3-year marriage anniversary and was impressed by the 4-course meal provided. The standout dish for me was the third course - little crispy potatoes and juicy pork with their homemade sauce - it was perfect! The dessert was also good, and they even provided a candle to celebrate our anniversary. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience

What a great restaurant - great food, great owners, and great ambience. The flavors are all very well balanced -- not too overwhelming and just subtle enough. The ingredients are incredibly fresh, and the menu is very creative (changes monthly). The service is also spectacular - my party had a few food restrictions and we were able to get substitutes when relevant. The chefs are also very friendly, and their story of starting their restaurant is a very heartwarming one. I already made two more reservations for the next two months so that I can enjoy their new menus!

Went to celebrate a belated Valentines. Definitely one of the best food in the area. Great food & service! The duck liver pate is top notch! The desert was also very refreshing and not too sweet. The Angus was a little too well-done for my liking but over all I loved the place. Will definitely go again, looking forward to the monthly menus :)

Korean style fine dining omakase Gish restaurant. This is my first time trying Korean style fine dining! Four courses omakase:1. beef bone marrow: this is amazing ! It came with veggies on the top and bone portion is big with the butter bread! It is so satisfy!2. Japchae: the noodle with 63 degree eggs. I love the eggs melted in the noodle, eat with veggies and pork added sasame oil!so good !!!3. Fish Gooyi: this one is ok ! Branzino with veggies on the top of rice! Delicious! Only thing is too much rices4. Fruits Millefeuille: the dessert is pretty cool !

I heard of this popular restaurant from a friend. They offer a short tasting menu ($55 per person) with 3 courses and 1 dessert. We went there in august and we love the atmosphere. It’s a small but cozy restaurant with enough distance from other tables, which makes it great for dates. We finished all the courses with an empty plate each time. For August’s menu, the appetizer is tomato panzanella. We love this salad. Then you will get oyster for the second course and fish for the third. This is not a traditional restaurant and there’s some fusion here and there. The taste is great (especially with its value). If it’s easier to get reservation, we will definitely go back to try it again. Highly recommend.

My former favorite restaurant used to be in this space. Maybe this spot only attracts creativity and food magic. Its a different experience, come with an open mind. The menu changes monthly. The ingredients are fresh. The dishes are satisfying and playful.Octobers main entree was one of the best things I have ever eaten. Im still dreaming about the cinnamon syrup that was part of dessert.The only downside is that I cant eat gluten. Husband did not mind. He ate what I could not. I got lucky this month, there was plenty I could eat. Its tricky to plan and get a reservation. But if you dont have any allergies and are adventurous it is worth it.

We were here to enjoy some asian fine dining sets and they managed to deliver at decent prices. The food and the combination are very creative. Ive tasted a nice sweetness from fresh tomatoes and a slight touch of vinegrette sour excited your pallets. The fish dish sauce is really good, but the fish is not as flavorful. However, I still highly recommend anyone trying this place.

Its very hard to get a reservation. But when we finally came and tasted this restaurant, we were all disappointed. The food was not that good, the portion was very small, after the 3 courses plus a desert, we were still hungry. The main course was a small piece of duck, still raw and tasteless.For such small size, at least they should have 6 courses, not 3.$65 per person, not worth the money. After we walked out the place, we had a bowl of warm noodle soup. I dont recommend this place.

Home style Korean restaurant, feels so cozy like home. They do only have around 18 seat per round, and have 2 round per night. I love their monthly menu, will definitely come back for next menu too. Their menu will change monthly and all depends on seasonal ingredients, so everything are fresh.

At this price point, its hard to find a restaurant with this level of Korean fusion dishes around the Bay area. For Korean and even non-Korean people, it is a nice place to go if you are sick of traditional Korean foods. With their half-bottle moscato (La Morandina, 5.5% Alcohol), it is even better! I want to try seating at the bar next time.

I never tried anything like this in San Jose. They served prix fixe seafood menu for this month and from appetizer to dessert everything was perfect. Portion size was great too. FYI, they DO NOT accept walk-ins or phone reservations so make sure you make a reservation through Yelp. They said their menu changes every month, which I think it is unique since I can have multiple experiences w them. Anyway, I can’t wait to visit this place again in the future.

She mentioned the authenticity of the place and reasonable pricing of the set menu.I was able to grab a reservation two months in advance in September, which ended up in November.Tip: New reservations that are two months ahead come out at midnight. They are closed Sunday and Monday, so calculate accordingly! The reservation get snatched up fast, so make sure you have the page ready to go prior to midnight!Our set menu at the time features the autumn season. We have the following -Acorn Pudding with Kimchi and Korean Pear - light and refreshing appetizerWhite Shrimp ball with Bori Shrimp on House made Gochujang Sauce - These were so delicious, shrimps were fresh and gochujang sauce added a nice kick!Jjimdak Style Chicken with Autumn Vegetables - this was so good! they had both white and dark meat and I honestly have never had chicken breast that was as tender and juicy as this.Chestnut Ice Cream with Horchata Veil - loved the asian flavor ice cream!Wagyu Rib-eye cab (add-on) - we probably didn’t need to order this add-on as we were pretty full by the end of the meal but this was really good as well. Creative Korean American tasting menu. 5 dishes total, first two were mediocre but the last 3 were very unique. From pasta made of corn to honey mustard ice cream, this place has a lot of innovative take on combining flavors. But be sure to book wayyyyy in advance, they only to 2 hours a day, 5 seatings of 4 per hour. We just visited last night and had to book back in May to get this spot. Definitely worth a visit!

Only getting half the portion of my food?!So I came back one week later and checked what other customers visited in August: every posted photos of oyster Rockefeller has two, and we got one! Only a single and lonely oyster on both of our plates!Is this a joke or because we were only table sitting outside and no way to check? I was a bit disappointed after visiting for the first time. The dishes on the menu were all cheap stuff like pork chop or pork dumplings. We were still hungry after 4 courses and had to stop by Chick-fil-A afterwards. I have been to many fine dining places and this is the first time I was still hungry after all courses. The drink I ordered tasted awful. It’s just a super sweet sugar water. Food taste is decent that’s why I still gave 3 stars not 1 or 2 stars.

Delightful! The flavors were both surprising and comforting. The ambiance was intimate, with the entire kitchen in view of the guests. The service was excellent.My favorite dish of the night was a stuffed butternut squash sprinkled with crispy forbidden rice. The halibut dish was also outstanding. The cinnamon punch at the end was a perfect treat. I was happy with everything, really!

Have to make reservations at midnight, two months in advance - but thats part of the adventure! Every month is a new menu and every month the chef invents new and creative dishes that you couldnt find anywhere else. Most are hits, sime are less successful, but even with that, you get to experience interesting flavors and textures throughout the meal. Ive been here about 5 times now and have enjoyed each visit.

Good but not 5 stars as others have given. Maybe people are being more generous or just me... this restaurant is good, better than average, especially when it comes to services but its not 5 stars. The dishes that I had was good but NO wow factor, especially the temperature cam be improved. I had experience with similar restaurants before that were much more surprising and impressive. This did not deliver that to me. Overall ok amd have room for improvement.

The food concept is Korean American Dining, and the menu changes every month on the first week of the month. The course is 3 courses and dessert, and there is a kids menu. The food was delicious, the chef explained the menu himself, and the service was good. Im going to try the next menu.
