RESTAURANT PALOS Comida Mexicana in South Gate

These cold rainy days my wife was craving for soup not ordinary soup she want it albondiga soup or often called Mexican meatball soup. She wants a nice bowl of albondiga keep herself warm and its been a while she had some. We found this hole in wall restaurant in South Gate we step in the restaurant it was nice then we were greet by the owners of the restaurant they were very friendly. My wife ask they have albondiga soup they say just enough for one bowl only she want it. Then I decided order three deep fried potato tacos I enjoy potato tacos.When waited for our meal we talk to the owner very friendly they were tells us they orginal restaurant was on Gage Ave close to the Gage Bowling ally they were for 20 plus years they move to this location. They brought the food the albondiga soup smell really good it feel like my grandmother and mother made because the aroma of the smell. The tacos potato were very crisp and it have that crunch when I take the bite nice flavors and the rice and bean were very good.My wife albondiga soup was very good I enjoy it also it full flavors we both enjoy it. We need to come back again.

This restaurant was beyond our expectations. It would be considered a hole in the wall type of restaurant but the food was delicious. Flavor on point. And the tortillas are hand made and decent size.

The best restaurant in South Gate

They have workers that sleep inside and make food at least a week before and put it on the stove to heat up. Nothing is fresh. All their workers are so lazy they work without shoes on. The owner and his wife are very rude and have an attitude with everyone. When we walked in, the lady was laying down on a chair with her shoes off and the guy was massaging her. They don’t have any cleanliness in the restaurant. We saw a rat running around the area and a piece of hair in our food. Their son gets mad if we ask for something else when our order is done. He gets mad and leaves the restaurant. They are super expensive too. Nothing is authentic Mexican food in this restaurant. If I were you, I’d rather eat Salvadorian food down the street from them. WE WILL NOT BE COMING TO THIA RESTAURANT AT ALL!!!

Amazing food, spectacular service, and affordable prices. Some coworkers and I were lucky to stumble upon this hole in the wall spot and I am so glad we did. You can tell they make everything with love. The homemade tortillas are unbelievable. I will definitely be back and I’ll be bringing friends. Thank you to the amazing staff for being so warm and welcoming.

My Husband & I went to this lil hole in the wall on State just off of Liberty. First let me say that 5 stars is definitely not enough stars. 2nd Yall need to go. Instead of chips & salsa, we were served lil tostadaditas that were simply made with a dab of frijoles fritos, lettuce and a drizzle of red salsa that had a tad bit just a smidgen of spice. So very good. I ordered the Chile relleno plate & my husband ordered the asada plate & and order of 3 potato tacos. Both were served with rice, beans and hot off the comal freshly made corn tortillas (the tortillas were beyond good). The Carne asada plate had grilled green bellpeppers and a roasted jalapeño stuffed with cheese. The asada was cooked to perfection and the cut was perfect. No knife needed to cut a piece. The chile relleno was very good stuffed with Mexican cheese and the egg was not too thick or thin. Every piece of food that was put on our plates was perfect. The service was exceptional.the place was nice and clean. The soccer game was on and the vibe was relaxing. Both of our dishes and an extra order of tortillas was $44 and worth every cent. We are definitely going back.

It was so delicious and everything tastes homemade. Service was excellent and they have a clean welcoming environment. If youre looking for good Mexican food this is a good place.

I loved coming to this restaurant. The owners were pretty friendly and even gave us some stuff to try out. They were pretty busy yet they still managed to give us an excellent service. 5/5! I recommend this place to everyone! Food was amazing as well! Thank you.

This place is very delicious im very surprised at how fresh the food still taste while being delivered . I simply waited relaxed at home and my food was delivered quickly. The tortillas i have to say are my favorite things. It is a bit pricey but definitely worth every dollar

Home like environment... great service.. they even have chile tree so you can pick your own red peppers..,.and most important hand made tortillas !!! I was there on a Tuesday then....,............. I happen to go back a week later with my wife and the service was as impressive as the first time as good as the first time and the food was even better than the first time,....,.... Do you know that home like food the will take you back to childhood those times where you were on your grandmas or your aunts yard and they were making food for you ... ...well is that good
