This is my familys all-time favorite Cambodian restaurant!! Weve been going here for years and the food has always been top notch. If you have a large group, they can accommodate on the patio. If you are new to Cambodian food, see if your friends and family will share so you can try a little of a lot. I recommend the student noodles, cha qui (bread), beef sticks, spring rolls, and charbroiled beef. The Boba is good for dessert.

Im quite impressed! My family use to go to the Phnom Penh Noodle Shack in Long Beach. This location from what I heard, is suppose to be their sister location.After going to the noodle shack in LB for a good few times and trying out other Cambodia restaurants, we discovered that their quality in food had gone down quite a bit.My wife came here with her mom at a previous time and wanted me to check it out.Im glad I did, because I absolutely loved their food here.More selections on the menu, better food quality, atmosphere, parking, service, a whooping 50% better in comparison to the noodle shack in LB.Cmon guys give us an excuse to come back, otherwise this spot has our patronage.We started out with their fried chicken wings that had sliced shallots, jalapenos, and looked like fried shallots as the garnish. Strongly recommend these!Ordered 3 student noodles which comes with their signature bone broth soup with a large piece of bone with meat on it.Order of their Chinese donuts which are a great pair with either their soups or Rice porridge (Congee).To wash it down a round of signature ice teas and milk teas.Place is cleaned, organized, excellent service, and plenty of parking.Pleased to say that we will return here for Cambodian cuisine again and try more items on their menu.

Great options without going to Long Beach! This is true cambo, not some Thai/Chinese fusion.A bit pricier, but food is done great. Noodle soups, fried rice, and some stirfry your yeay might whip up at home.

Love this place! Great Cambodian food made in a modern way. It’s traditional in all consideration, however, it’s in a modern setting. Love the way the place is clean and the waitstaff is super friendly! Whenever I’m in LA, I make sure to take a trip here for the comfort food!With a lack of Khmer places in town, this is a gold standard.

Coming in from Texas, there is not a lot of Cambodian food options, so I definitely had to check this place out. We came in relatively late but they still served us! The noodles were delicious and fresh and came in good portions for the price. Shout out to our server Christina who was very quick, attentive, and very nice!I ordered the wings once which was really crispy and well seasoned.The Cha Quai was also delicious, Warm, and crispy.The Phom Penh noodles are very authentic! The portions are a decent size with a very warm and delicious soup.There is also a lot of variety including fried noodles, rice, beef sticks, Boba tea, and more. Highly recommend to check this place out!

I had a fantastic time at RiceString! The dry noodles were a standout for me - the soup and bone come separately, giving you the best of both worlds. It’s one of my fav Cambodian restaurant so far, I usually like to find those mom and pop restaurants for Asian food, but this place definitely win my heart. The interior looks modern and clean, you might mistaken it as an Asian fusion restaurant, but it’s total legit Cambodian! My favorite is their loat cha with beef, the noodle is fresh, and the beef is tender, very generous portion too. Cha quai is fresh and soft inside, it’s the perfect texture. Phnom Penh house special is the bomb too, I ordered it with big rice noodle. Love this place, I’ll have to come back again.

Loving this place since they have great noodle choices to choose from.I got one with Tripe in a tomato based broth with thick egg and thin rice noodles. You can get bread to dip into your broth. Alone, the bread is great but paired with the soup, it was heavenly.Its so bizarre coming here because I use to go to this place a lot when it was Guppy teahouse, but it was definitely replaced for the better.Would come back to try other food forsure!

RiceString Noodle Shack is excellent, and is worth the drive to Cerritos. I wish there were more Cambodian cuisine restaurants in LA.The main go-to dishes for my partner and I have been the meat pie, the loat cha, congee, doughnuts and noodle soups. You wont be disappointed with the food here-- the smell alone will draw you in for some good Cambodian deliciousness!

If you like tripe, get the beef stew. I got the bread too. That was fresh and delicious.The beef stew was different. The flavor was good but too much would definitely be too much I would get tired of it. The lime helped.I would come back and try something different. I like they have kid size portions. I am a huge fan of trying different things. I hate large portions at new places in case I dont like it and Im stuck with it.If you want something different in flavor, come here. Ill be back and see what else they have to offer. Hopefully with more people so I can try more.

Great service and food. Havent had Cambodian food before, so I cant really comment on the authenticity of the food. However, in terms of flavors, everything was bomb. I ordered the spring rolls as appetizers (which is really hard to do poorly) and I enjoyed it. The sauce was really good, but if you want to spice it up, Id recommend using the hot sauce that they have. Ordered the Phnom Penh Noodles which is the house special. I probably should have ordered the large cause the medium was not enough for me. Downed the noodles pretty quickly and the broth was really good. They also gave generous portions of meat in the dish. My wife ordered the RP bowl dry, which probably would be my next to go. They give a massive bowl of broth and meat on the side if you go dry. Her dish was really tasty as well. Theres a lot of other stuff to try and will definitely be back. They seem quite busy on a rainy day so I cant imagine how busy they are on a regular weekend lunch. Come early if you can!

This place has good food but not service. We had Mo Special noodles, shack wings and... We wanted to try the fried donut but failed to have it arrive. They served it to the table that came in after us and ran out by the time we asked them about our order. I think if just want a bite I would recommend this place but was highly disappointed on service.I had to go up to the counter to ask them if I can put in an order. Then had to go up and ask for our bill. The waitress was very inexperienced. It loses two stars because of service. I am a patient and understanding person but I think waiting for over an hour for my waitress to order isnt worth it. I didnt complain to the manager or anything because in the end I just ate and went on my way. I didnt think the staff handled the situation well. Overall it was meh.

Whenever Im sick, I love to eat the congee. It has such a comfort food flavor, light yet flavorful and completely delicious. My other favs are student noodles and loat cha. I hope to try their entire menu, as everything is super tasty.

I love this place and I always stop by when Im in the area. If you love noodles, this is the page for you! Firstly, it is cambodian so dont expect to get pho, ramen, or any non-cambodian noodles here. My go to us the #1 phnom Penh, large egg noodles, dry. It tastes just like their O.G. restaurant in Long Beach. Same great service and quality food but this location is open later and has a dog friendly patio.

Restaurant is extremely clean and modern. The young man taking our order was patient and helpful while we browsed the lengthy menu asking for descriptions of the dishes. Ordered Phnom Penh House Special #1, soup version with wide egg and rice noodles. It came correctly prepared per my request without the onion garnish, and steamed bean sprouts. I was hoping for some crown daisy (chrysanthemum coronarium) or some other greens to accompany the meaty broth (like how Houston serves them) but it only came with bean sprouts. The broth flavor was ok but fell short of being authentic Cambodian. For deserts we ordered fried bananas and cambonets (Cambodian beignets) to go. The banana dish was a big disappointment as it came whole instead of cut in slices and deep fried with way too much dough coating. The beignet also had too much dough and was also chewy.This was a pass through place because of hubbys craving for Khmer food while in town, but unlikely to return if ever in SoCal again.

This place really hits the spot for Cambodian style noodle soup such as the #1 and RP Noodle menu items. The dry noodles with the giant pork bone soup on the side is a classic and brings back memories. It feels a little prehistoric gnawing on a bone but there a special kind of deliciousness awaits.Aside from soup, the Loat Cha stir fry tear drop noodles have a wonderful aroma, texture, and flavor. And just to show that they are not just noodles, the garlic shrimp rice is very reminiscent of the fabulous Kahuku shrimp of North Shore without the expensive plane ride to Hawaii. Finally, their fried breads (cha quai and knom hing) are a perfect crispy accouterments to dip in the soup or rice porridge. RS Noodle Shack is definitely one of my new favorite local places to eat.

I came here with my wife and a close friend of mine. I always wanted to try Phnom Penh Noodle Shack, but every time I’m in the area, the place is always packed or closed. My friend recommended this place, apparently it’s owned by the same folks who owns Phnom Penh Noodle Shack. We ended up ordering a large Phnom Penh noodles, and the house special rice porridge. We shared both dishes between the three of us, and we all enjoyed the food. The food was reasonably priced, and the service was great. I love this place because no one else makes it like this. Highly recommend this place.

Parking is limited, and right now its soft opening so the hours are 9am-3pm, not sure when soft opening is over but on the menu it says regular hours are 9am-9pm for Mondays-Thursdays! Fridays and Saturdays have different hours but I forgot to take a picture of the menu so I cant remember. 😅 There was a bit of a wait when we got there (around 1:30pm, party of 2) but the food was worth the wait for me!Went here because of the recommendation of a friend, not expecting much. I got the beef stew and my friend got some dry noodles that comes with soup with pork bone on the side. For drinks he got a regular iced tea and I got the Matcha Milk Tea that turned out to be perfect, light, and not too sweet. We also ordered fried bread sticks on the side, but I cant remember the name of it on the menu. The beef stew looked super spicy but it wasnt at all!! Which makes me happy as I am a weakling when it comes to spiciness. The spices, however, made the soup super tasty and I highly recommend dipping the fried bread sticks in the soup!I have 0 complaints about the service. They were kind and courteous, and although my friend and I were the only ones seated in the front left window area, they never forgot about us! This is my first stop at this restaurant. I have to say the place looks nice from the inside. What I order from the menu was the Mos special noodles besides the other the noodles there they had peanuts which is a bummer for me because I cant them reasons for my health. But aside from that I tried out my order that they serve to me . The noodles was amazing with meat parts in soup to add the taste to it. Unfortunately the mix noodles that I had with the thai noodle was stuck together making it hard to bite off and for me I had to eat the whole thing. But I enjoyed the food. The fried bananas was the best one for me its classified as deserts and also had bread with it too. I actually enjoyed the savory taste of each of the food that they offered. I might as well go back here again or recommend this to a friend of mine or relative.

Today I went in as a first time customer.Before ordering our server Paul was wonderful, helpful and kind. Paul explained the menu and answered questions my partner and I had. I wasted my glass of water and Paul assisted in a prompt and efficient clean up. Jeremy delivered our food and even brought extra napkins. Came here often until the service was horrible. The food is excellent. The server took my order incorrectly and brought me the wrong dish. I reminded her of my order and she walked away. When I received the correct dish, it was another server and right away asked if I wanted to-go containers and my check. The servers kept coming to our table for what seemed like every 5 minutes asking if wanted my check and to-go boxes. I know where I am not wanted.

They have a good assortment of Cambodian dishes beyond just noodles and authentic flavor (lived in Cambodia for 2 years).Parking is decent and nice to see the bamboo growing on the side.When I went, they had people enter on the side of the building.Customer service was great. Love the noodles, however they messed up on my order and by the time it was served my friend is already done with her food. Nevertheless, they took out my bill because of the inconvenience. My boyfriend introduced this spot to me and now it is one of my favorite places to eat out at! The food is amazing and even just ordering the regular sized portion is more than enough (sometimes I think about ordering the kids size cause I can never finish the regular). On top of that, the food is well reasonably priced and I love the option of outdoor and indoor seating. If youre thinking about eating here, just give it a try. Im pretty sure youd enjoy it!

This place is probably the best Thai place in LA! The food and service was excellent. I ordered pad see ew and fried rice. They pad see ew was not too greasy and was really flavorful. The crab fried rice was a bit on the pricy side (because its crab) but besides that it was really good. The service was really good because when the waitress gave me a spot I asked if I could change seats, and she gladly changed my seat. Overall this place was really good and I would recommend this place to people who really like Thai food.

This use to be my old stomping grounds, Guppy Tea House. But is now a Cambodian Restaurant, I was expecting a quiet restaurant with very traditional Asian decor.To my surprise, it was very modern, lively atmosphere with loud music, but not where you cannot hear the person across from you.Very similar to Mr. BBQ in Fullerton or Gen BBQ. I think they are accommodating for the college crowd.The patio has heat lamps, the chairs are solid metal, the servers were very polite and attentive. The location is kinda dark, but clean.The food was very authentic and similar to other Cambodian restaurants in Long Beach.The beef stick is combo was delicious. Their rice is cooked perfectly, it came with a simple soup that took me back 20 years. Like a ratatouille moment.Their noodle dishes were also very delicious, they have the Thai Sriracha that I also love.Food also came out very fast, soda refills are free.They also have the Chao quai, the long Chinese donuts that come in pairs, it goes well with the rice porridge.You normally can only get this donut in the morning, but they made them fresh for us as we came in 30 Minutes before closing.I will definitely stop by this restaurant again, primarily because they have really good beef sticks and the porridge with bread.

I was here a few weeks ago with friends and came back with family. There are a lot of similarities between Cambodian dishes and other Southeast Asian dishes, so everything was quite familiar and tasty! I really liked the Student Noodles with the beef/noodle combo.Also, I have to say that the staff members there are really friendly and welcoming. This is not my first time here, and I can say that the standard has definitely dropped. During my prior visit here, my family and I ordered our food and waited about 45 minutes to no avail. When we asked about our food, the waiter told us that they hadnt even started cooking it yet. We left and went somewhere else. My visit here today (8/11/21) was also very disappointing. I hoped things would have changed since my prior visit. I ordered the beef stew and waited almost 30 minutes. When it came, I was met with a watered down and bland dish. The noodles were very brittle, not soft and chewy as it used to be. The beef stew looked like a pho dish with how watered down it was. Not to mention how tough the meat was. It tasted as if it sat in the refrigerator overnight. It was awful. I then ordered the me ka tang which was also bland. It tasted as if the noodles were boiled and someone spilled some gravy on top. It did not taste like it was made in a wok. When the bill came they charged us for a lemonade that we never ordered. They did however take the beef stew off the bill. We didnt want to deal with it and just paid for the lemonade. The food and service here is usually very good, and my last two visits did not meet expectations. It will be a while before we ever consider coming back.

The food itself was delicious, albeit a little cold but that was me waiting on the cha quay to come out to eat it together with the noodles.All in all I think the staff is trying their damnest, but fallen a bit short. Update: when the restaurant gets really busy, they tend to make lots of mistakes. First, waiting took 45 minutes. Second, they didnt give us any napkins or utensils. It came with a porkbone broth which was yummy but a little salty, not sure if its packed with MSG but it tastes good. The bone is fall of the bone. The noodles were delicious especially if you like garlic flavor. Their beef skewers were also very delicious !!! I highly recommend trying. This place had some amazing noodle dishes and the service was amazing. If you get the noodles soups dry they separate the noodles from the broth and add a huge bone to the soup. The bone has some chunks of meat still attached and there is some bone marrow you can dig out. I got the Mos Special and it was delicious. Lets get straight to it. When I first heard about the Ricestring Noodle House being opened in Cerritos, I thought, great! There will finally be a bonified Khmer place outside of Long Beach, thats creating a buzz.My friend and I came during dinner time, about 730pm on a Thursday night and it was a good sized crowd. Tables were set up on the patio to accommodate everyone. About a month ago I read from other Yelpers that there were some issues regarding wait times for seating and food, but that problem seemed to have been solved.Service was prompt and the staff was pleasant. As my buddy and I glanced over the menu, I had to explain some of the items to him, as this was his first time dining at a Khmer joint. We ended up getting the Cha-quay (bread), chicken wings, egg rolls, a Large Fit Bowl and a Large beef bowl with veggie broth and Two milk teas. (Unfortunately, I had to get the veggie broth because the regular broth that comes with the beef bowl is a combo pork and beef broth. I thank them for disclosing that on the menu because there are some people that dont eat pork. But I digress.)The portion sizes to portion prices were great. The wings and egg rolls were delightful. However, the veggie broth in my opinion was lackluster. There wasnt any depth in the flavor, so I had to doctor it up myself; allot. Im not sure if this was just one time deal, but Cha-quay is usually eaten with chicken porridge or noodle soup; and comes out with the entrees. If it come out early, as an appetizer as it did on this visit, then it become a bit hard by the time the main entree comes out. On the other hand my buddy had no issues (again, his first time dining Khmer food).Ill return here another time to try out the other items on the menu and see how everything goes. Happy eating!

Everything is reasonably priced and the portions are generous. We started with Cambodian beignets, which were like Chinese donuts topped with powdered sugar. These were fantastic - warm, crispy outside and fluffy inside. My kids enjoyed the beignets very much.For our entree, my wife had rice porridge, which was very tasty and well seasoned. I had Student Noodles with beef, which comes with a side of beef bone in broth. The noodles are similar to Pad Thai, very flavorful.
