2023-08-15 23:40:38I came by for lunch today and it was the perfect comforting meal. It is still their soft opening but their selection had what I was craving. Heres what I ordered:-Pork Wonton with rice noodles with extra wontons - my fave! The wontons were some of the best Ive had. They were good size and juicy. The noodles and broth were a great balance and it reminded me of my grandmas food. So comforting and delicious.-Lemon Iced Tea is a must have! Its the perfect combo with the sweetness and fresh lemon slices. It was so refreshing and went well with my lunch.I will definitely be back to try the other items on the menu. The fried pork chop and Hong Kong style french toast look yummy too. Im glad a cafe like this opened up near me.

2023-10-27 21:27:03They’re only opened for 1 month so I’ll update this review when I return to try again. For now, my review is based on the 6 dishes I ordered and the service received:First dish that came out was the baked rice with meat sauce. Usually this is the last dish that comes out because of the time it takes to cook/bake. It’s just plain white rice under the sauce. The rice wasn’t fully cooked. Wasn’t sure if they microwaved this dish or actually baked it but it was disappointing. It would be better if they fried the rice and added more meat sauce, and bake it longer (if it was baked).Second dish was the fried chicken. This was tasty. I was concerned at some point because some of the meat looked pink, but I’ll give the benefit of doubt that it’s their marinade. Chicken was tender and tasty.Third dish was the pork cutlet. This dish was okay. Batter was crispy but I’m not a big pork cutlet fan so I’ll leave it at that.Fourth dish: beef brisket with wheat noodle soup and pork dumplings. Soup kind of bland and noodles were undercooked and unevenly cooked. Dumplings were disappointing—it didn’t taste like pork. It didn’t taste like anything for that matter.Fifth dish: shrimp wonton noodle soup with flat white noodles. Soup base tasted the same as the beef brisket noodle. Shrimp wonton better than their pork dumplings but not something I’d come back for. Noodles over cooked so it was mostly broken into pieces.Last dish: HK style French toast. This was the only dish I liked. It tasted better than most HK style French toast in Sac and I liked that their peanut butter taste was subtle. I would come back for this dish.Service: we were the only dine in table yet service and food was slow. They didn’t have smaller plates to give us for sharing appetizers so they gave us big round plates.I’ll wait another month before coming back to try similar and different dishes.Location: great location but I’ve seen several restaurants in this spot open and close. Plenty of parking.
