Ambience and restaurant from inside was clean and on point. I ordered Tom kha and panang curry.We ordered spicy level of 10 and it came out at spicy level of a baby. The server said there will be chilies on side but there was mostly vinegar in it the ones I like.

Had the crispy duck with red curry. O M G. Its a life changing dish! So delicious. The duck was perfectly cooked with the right amount of crispy. The curry was amazing as well. It had the perfect level of spice and an explosion of flavor.

Atmosphere and service are great,Room is a bit dim, some may have problems reading the menu while inside.As far as being Thai food, its not impressive or generally that good. Everything come in a bowl of sugar soup, with vegetables and meat tossed in. We had 4 different items, cashew chicken, mixed veggies, and a couple curries. Spicy requested. None of the dishes were spicy. I expected real Thai level spicy being Thai myself. The only spicy enough dish was the Phrik Khing curry, but Id give that a 5/10🌶️, and even with the loads of lemongrass and curry mix they added the food was still way too sweet and left a sweet aftertaste for a couple minutes after eating.Finished with some egg rolls, they were filled 60% with rehydrated Wood-ear mushrooms inside, and the dipping sauce tasted like white vinegar. Id say it was like a crunchy tube of Chinese buffet hot/sour soup flavor.I dont know what happened in the last few years but food when down bad.

We are visiting from Arizona. My wife love Thai food. Chicken gyoza was amazing. The sauce was delicious. I have chicken fried rice and my wife had yellow curry. Everything came out fresh and hot. Amazing service.

Delicious authentic Thai food!⭐️ My favourite dish goes to the Drunken Noodles which was so incredibly flavourful.We had it medium spicy which was perfect.⭐️ Their fresh roll’s dipping sauce was also notable, very nutty and creamy.⭐️ Mango sticky rice is a must try! What a great way to end the meal 😋

Authentic thai and some lao dishes in o-side! for those that love spicy food, this place will not hold back. ask for 10/10 or 11/10 for lao spicy. love the generous portions, especially with the fried noodle dishes. the standouts - bbq pork skewers and pad kee mao. i kid you not, these dishes rival the street food in bangkok

My girlfriend and myself ate there on Monday afternoon. We have known the owner and his wife, many many years. The lunch was incredible and too much for two people to eat. Absolutely fabulous,not to mention the company.We sat outside,and it was fabulous. Will be back soon Sam and poni!!!

Awful! Disgusting! Unhygienic! Rude!First visit couple of weeks ago noon time, I ordered Red Curry. We verbally repeated twice. I received a green curry with a messy bowl and cutlery. Server said sorry, i said its alright. Ill just take this. On top of that, the food lacks flavor like and very salty. Hello kidneys! Second visit tonight, my white colleague wants thai, i gave another chance with this shop as the service might changed. Again, i ordered red curry to go as they said only to go available. What i received was a green curry again! Wow! For the second time around. Plus we wanna eat it on the corner coz people are still eating. We opened up the plastic, then an old rude asian woman came and just said “you ordered to go, you cant eat here!” You can say it politely and say sorry not allowed to eat. And you just served some next table to us fews mins ago. We understand that they’re closing. We just said okay and left. As an asian i know we are polite, but you are very rude madam. And your services sucks. Looks at your plastic cover outside is very dirty. Tables very dusty. Get some manners and quality of service next time. 0/5 Rating.

All our dishes were great! The beer was amazing! First time I ever tried Thai Beer. We had dinner here and we sat outside by choice. Nice little restaurant. Love supporting small businesses. This is only my second time ever having Thai. I highly recommend this place! A few blocks away from the ocean!

Good food! Lots of vegan and vegetarian options. They have indoor and outdoor seating options. The patio has portable heaters.We had to wait for about 15 mins to get a table on the weekend. We ordered veggie masaman curry and vegan drunken noodles. The server asked us to place an order for appetisers as they were short staffed and that it would take them some time to get the main course ready. So we decided to try spicy rice balls which were served with a sweet peanut sauce. We also had a thai iced coffee. All the food was flavourful!

So yummy, I got drunken noodle which is what I always get when I have Thai food. It did not disappoint, full of flavor, they gave a generous amount of basil which really makes the dish. 7 out of 10 on the spicy scale was perfect for me.

I live really close to this place. I had been craving Pad see ew. I called and ordered for pick-up. My total was $16 something… for 1 meal.I was disappointed as the food lacked flavor, there was basically the veggies, beef and noodle. Didn’t have any type of sweetness or the Thai flavors I am used to. I asked for no heat.I don’t think I will be ordering from here again.

We ordered a curry lunch special and a gluten free pad thai. We had to order the pad thai for a much higher priced entree menu as the owner does not do gluten free for lunch.While we saw quite a busy lunch crowd and the place was fragrant with spices and garlic, our dishes were disappointing flavor-wise. We did ask for very mild seasoning but have done that at a lot of other thai restaurants. The veggies did seem fresh but I thought my shrimp was a bit fishy which at 1 pm seems that it could have been fresher. The curry in the lunch special was watery and while I could not try it, seemed to lack any texture.This food was simply not what we like. If you dont like a lot of flavor, the veggies were fresh and the portion size was good.

I will say there is a sign on the door that says they are short staffed which highly affected the review. We had a party of 10 and they told us they had a table and it would only be 5-10 mins. It turned to 30 mins and we had crying kids by the time they sat us. The food took another 30 mins to come out and it came out only a few plates at a time. Half of the table was done eating by the time the last plate came out. My dad ordered Tom yum soup ($25) and it was filled with mushroom with two shrimps and hardly any seafood. Not worth it. I ordered the ginger chicken and it was flavorful. The pad Thai was good too. I thought the prices were inflated for amount of food. Its single serving unlike most Thai food places that are made for sharing.

Delicious! So good! Got chefs signature crispy duck in curry and glass noodles with pork. Great flavors!👏👏👏Also remember how before covid every Thai place had a tray with hot sauces and vinegars and now a lot of them will only serve you a tiny plastic cup of hot sauce if you ask? Our second time here and always good. We tried Island Curry and Pad Thai and both were delicious. They do have a sign stating they are understaffed so be patient with the delay. (The food was maybe 20 minutes to arrive, instead of the 5-10 minutes you might expect.) This is one of our two favorite Thai restaurants in the area.

I adore curry and have tried most of the spots here in Oceanside, in my opinion, this one is THE BEST. I usually float around 7-8 on the spice scale for places like these, and you get lovely spice while still having full, creamy flavor! I got the yellow curry and could not reccomend it enough. (Its also very convently located if youre in artist alley :p)

Okay, its true when they say you dont appreciate what youve got till its gone. The family came here from Las Vegas for my daughters birthday and decided to have some Thai food since we all love it. Ordered larb chicken with chicken fried rice - the larb chicken was good no issues with it (for a 4 it was pretty spicy). However the fried rice was lackluster, the rice itself was a little hard and it had way too many peas & carrots. My favorite restaurant back in vegas doesnt add peas & carrots and I should have read the menu thoroughly before ordering, so that was my fault. Most restaurants dont add the peas and carrots here in Vegas so I assumed, but once again that was my fault. Also the soap dispenser in the bathroom did not work which annoyed me since I am a germaphobe.

First time here and we loved the food. Im giving only 3 stars because we ordered our dishes and it TOOK FOREVER!! even when the restaurant was literally empty, only 2 or 3 other customers. We were almost ready to leave and cancel everything to go somewhere else instead. They really need to do something about it and I would not recommend it, specially if youre hungry and cant wait 30 minutes for the food to make it to your table, maybe longer if theres more customers ahead of you.

The restaurant is a bit dark. Theyre on a busy street and leave the doors open, so even if youre inside theres a lot of road noise, and every ten minutes or so some exhaust fumes come in.The food is OK. They have vegan options which is nice. The fresh rolls were quite good. The Tom Kha was bland and overly sweet. The Panang Curry was ok in flavor, but very watery.Compared to Thai restaurants outside Oceanside, its not very good. However it may be typical for the area.

About as good as Thai food gets. I had the chicken phad see-ew, but I tried the beef fried rice and the red curry. They were all very good. The spring rolls were fried and I wish they were fresh, but I knew that when I ordered it. The food is AMAZING (we ordered the drunken noodles spicy level 7, the red curry spicy level 8, and the mango sticky rice for desert). The portions look small but actually its a lot of food, that just how its presented. Reasonable prices (our bill was around $35)! The atmosphere is also very cute. Theres seating outside and inside. Looks compact but actually just enough room to enjoy a meal with someone or by yourself. You seat yourself. The staff was nice and welcoming. My new favorite Thai restaurant!

Not terribly impressed with the food, although it wasnt horrible. The portion size is significantly smaller than what I get at most other Thai restaurants, which made the slightly higher price more annoying. The staff is friendly, and attentive. I was grateful that they offer vegan options, as few other restaurants in Oceanside seem to have any awareness of what vegan even means.

Now Im mostly vouching for the Fried Tofu Pad Thai as I have had it maybe 7 times from this place and it is DELICIOUS! Know that this review is coming from someone who has eaten an abundance of Thai food in Thailand, with the locals in a run down, hole in the wall tiny place where you would sit next to the locals chickens and their chicks (for those who know the place its the Pad Thai Shop on Phuket Island). The one at Rim Talay tastes amazing, especially if you add a little spicy fish sauce. My partner and I drive 45 minutes to get this and we usually take it to go for dinner at the beach while watching the sunset (great date idea)!I have also eaten some of the other dishes and they are also wonderful but that Pad Thai is what makes me coming back. Staff is also lovely!

We visited this restaurant today. It was about 8pm, we were looking forward to it as we were hungry. We were seated, but unfortunately, they took about three couples’ orders ahead of ours even though we were there and were seated before them. I called the waitress a couple of times and she told me that she’d be right back, yet she took the other orders ahead of ours. We never got to order, so we ended up leaving. Went here for a change of cuisine on our first night in Oceanside. The food was so good we returned the following night. I think this happened because the second server arrived and the lady there did not make any effort to communicate with her. We had to go to the counter to get our order in. Food was decent enough. Arrived for lunch and was told I could not order the lunch portion because the dishes needing to be prepared gluten free could not be and I would need to purchase the full dinner portion. The servers reason was because it needs to be prepared to order due to it being gluten free but curries are almost always intrinsically gluten free so this reasoning did not make sense. Server seemed annoyed overall. Got the check and they charge $1 to make an already gluten free dish “gluten free”. Ridiculous. Dont get me wrong, I do LOVE this place BUT only when eating in. I have gotten Togo orders multiple times and it never fails that something is off. At least one dish gets discarded from not being made the way its requested. We never have this issue when ordering and eating there.Today was not an exception to the horrible Togo service. First off, its great that they can offer gluten free options --- not so great when they fight you about whether you ordered gluten free over the phone or not. I called back and expressed my frustration with them having been rude about it and also the fact that they charged me for a white rice I ordered but when we got home they didnt actually give us the white rice.The gentleman I spoke to said next time they would give me a white rice when we come in; I dont know about you but I will not be coming back in to redeem a free white rice....Ill just pull out my rice cooker and make my own.Such a bummer because I raved about this place and now after this last interaction I will definitely be going to the swamis next door that just opened instead. Ordered the Ladd Nah and the Wontons. I didnt mind that there was some confusion over the order because the staff was friendly and afterall it was a call in order. Things happen right? The restaurant is beautifully decorated and within walking distance to the beach -hence the 2 stars. The food was beyond awful. The wontons were not crispy and tasted a bit odd. I thought that it was because they were made with the origninal (incorrect) order. The Ladd Nah on the menu was described as pan fried flat noodles topped with brocolli and a garlic gravy so I was a bit surprised when I was handed a container of what appeared to be soup. When I arrived at my destination I opened the container (will post pictures if I can) it looked like soup - a lot of watery soup with a few pieces of broccoli, sliced green beans, a few carrots, and bean srpouts. There was no seasoning. It was very bland so much that even adding salt was useless. The noodles (contained in a separate box) were slick, greasy, overcooked, bland, and stuck together. I thought it I put them in the soup like container it would be much better. Sadly, it was worse. The layer of oil, soup like mixture, and bland vegetables were a very bad combination. I dont know what they cooked it in, but it was beyond bad. I wasted 23.60 (25 if you count the 1.40 tip). Its a wonderful place to sit and people watch or enjoy the sunshine but a horrible place to eat. Maybe they were having an off day but I wont be back.

Amazing pad Thai with mock duck, highly recommend. I have been to a lot of Thai restaurants but this one is at the top of the list for best pad Thai.

Bad service.. very expensive and the curry chicken and the fried rice had nooooo flavor curry not creamy it all🤢🤢 the Chef doesnt no how to cook....

Just okay for the pricepoint. Tom kha is super sweet and dont use authentic mushrooms, but staff is nice and location is convenient.
