While it looks small, it is big on everything else. Lovely mood and atmosphere, the bruschetta was so delish and fresh.The olive oil provided was top notch, I wanted to put it on everything. I had the ravioli and wanted more, lol.My friend had the Pollo Piccata, that chicken was sooo tender and lemony..yes, that is my word.I completely enjoyed this meal and would be there all the time if I lived there. They do Italian food right!!

Ended up here during a terrible storm and was super glad. The food was excellent as was the service n ambiance. Parking on the other hand is a nightmare during dinner hours. I highly recommend reservations as the place is popular and kinda small.

Wife and I ate lunch here. She had linguine fra diavolo (clams and mussels) in red sauce . I had fettuccini sallccica (sausage) in a red sauce. We each drank a glass of zinfandel. We also ordered caprese salad (tomatoes with burrata cheese with a balsamic dressing). The caprese salad consisted of slices of tomatoes with burrata cheese on top. The tomatoes were regular tomatoes not heirloom and were not juicy or tasty. The balsamic dressing and burrata cheese was tasty. The fettuccini con sallccica sauce was slightly more acidic than I like and the sausage appeared to not be Italian but Polish. My wife said her linguine fra diavolo was OK. Our experience was OK.

Loved this place. Autentico! Warm staff. High ceilings with subtle Art Deco accents. Long and rectangular with a nice, wooden bar relieving one side. Nestled on down home, Main Street-like road in Burlingame. Perfect for a meal before a departing flight!

Nice Italian restaurant in town with beautiful decor. There is bar along with both upstairs and downstairs seating.The offer mixed drinks, beer, wine and full menu of course. Service was quick and friendly. The dishes we had were pretty good. All of this would add up to a 4 Star rating or maybe even higher.So why the two star? So I’m a little guy and usually split an entree and appetizer with my partner and we are pretty satisfied. Today, we decided to each order our own. I got the ravioli and she got the linguini w clams.My dish was tiny! I ate it al and was still hungry. I told the waiter and decided to order a small kids size pasta plate. I finished that up and was finally satiated. My partner finished up her entire plate too which was pretty unusual.So bottom line, good food, good service, but don’t expect more than a snack for dinner. Very disappointed.

I had very bad dining experience at Ristorante Rocca Burlingame. My wife and I went there for marriage anniversary. The waitress (tall, white girl) ignored us for about 10 mins before handing us the menu. She was cold to us during the whole time, no smile, no greetings, and not even refill the water for us. Initially we thought it might be a personality thing but then we found that she was very friendly to other tables, a totally different person. BTW, we were the only Asian customers in that restaurant that night.The food was very small portion for the price it charged. And it tastes just below average.Don’t go there if you are not white people!

I had an excellent meal here, with outstanding service. My waitress made sure to check on me regularly, and keep my wine glass full. I went with an Italian classic, Spaghetti Bolognese, and every bite was amazing. Plenty of leftovers too... Ill definitely be back.

We were seated quickly and given our drinks in a decent manner of time & speed. The food was absolutely absolutely excellent, well above my expectations for a small side street cafe. So to speak. The seafood pasta was delicious fettuccine Alla Rocca was Excellent the scallops were not overcooked or rubbery as is typical they were lightly juicy and buttery and almost like perfect. The shrimp was cooked pump 2 perfection. The wife was pretty happy as well with her Bolognese.

First, Id like to say that this is a review of my first and only time at this restaurant. I came with my 7 person party on a busy Saturday night. We were about 5 minutes early for our 7:30 reservation but werent seated until 8:12 pm. That was the worst part of the evening so I subtracted a star. I mean, come on! It was cold and wet outside.. anyway, once we were seated we had a wonderful evening. All of the food tasted amazing and the portions were perfect. Id mentioned that my husbands birthday was in a few days and the waitress brought complementary cheesecake with a little candle to blow out. The whole restaurant sang him happy birthday. We stayed well past the time the desserts were devoured and we didnt feel *too* rushed to leave. I would absolutely recommend this place and will be returning soon.

Reserved a table on their website on a Friday for 7:00. They put the two of us on the balcony. Perfect spot for a conversation and enjoying delicious food. The fish special was very good and the waiter did a good job also. If youre staying at the SFO airport hotels I suggest looking this place up.

Ive been here several times and every time it exceeded expectations! Ive had many of their dishes and loved them all but my favorites are eggplant parmesan, gnocchi and lasagna. Yes, I try to limit carbs, but come on, you need a treat occasionally! Their crabcake appetizer is great also. Dessert: get the chocolate crunch cake. Just get it, you wont be sorry. I also like the complimentary bread and olive oil. Service is outstanding - professional and fast.

This is my go to when I’m on the peninsula. I wish they were in the East Bay!! Everything is wonderful, prepared with fresh ingredients, beautifully presented, and flavorful. The Skirt steak wasnt good though. They have a nice wine list, and we loved the Oregon Pinot Noir we got. So my boyfriend wanted to take me out on a date to celebrate our anniversary, so he reserved a table in advance for today at 7pm. We got there and we waited for 10mins, and no one greet us or pay attention but they did make eye contact. This is a one of a kind place. I was in town for a conference. I was looking for good food and good wine. I found that and so much more. I sat at the bar. Jessica was my bar tender the first night. The service was great. It was a little slow because they were slammed. But the company at the bar was so engaging, and the food and the wine so enjoyable, that I was thankful for the delay. I had the swordfish special. It was spectacular. Most places way over cook their sword fish. Not here. It was perfect. The second night in town I just had to go back. The food and the wine were once again perfect. I sat at the bar again and met a few locals. I also met one of the owners. Everyone was very engaging I really enjoyed my night and my dinner. This is classic norther Italian food. Fresh and fun. I recommend it not only for the food and the pretty decent wine list, but for the atmosphere and the people as well. If you are traveling in this area, this place is a must. Its like being at home with your your family. Nothing awkward about dinner alone here! Loved it!

Very nice ambiance. We were last people to leave, and were a party of 4.I had the crab cakes. They were about a 5 on a scale of 10. Very bready and if there was real crab it was not apparent. Was almost liquid in the center of a deep fried crust. Presentation was very pleasing. Everyone else in our party was very pleased with their meals. Also had the Boston clam chowder. Excellent, 9/10. She got the salad, which was pricy and turned out to be the most depressing motley of wilting/ inedible plants ive ever seen.When we asked the server to kindly bring it back, he said he could replace it with grass from the back somewhere.I would say the ambiance/ setting is very nice with upstairs seating. Food is also slightly above average. But the 2x ive been here, not impressed by the service.

Some of the best Italian food Ive had on the West Coast (Im from NY, so Im hard to impress!). Their staff is always friendly, and they are great at recognizing regulars. They have servers with excellent senses of humor, so if you go at a slow time, strike up an entertaining conversation! Their bartenders are also fantastic - though not Italian per se, they rock at mojitos. The wine selection isnt huge, but its been curated well with all quality bottles.I havent ever been disappointed by the food, and the menu standbys are fantastic when a special doesnt catch your eye (always ask to hear the specials). The prices on everything are very reasonable.
