Everything was great! The food was good, the atmosphere is good for people who are getting together, if you were alone you can go to the bar which is inside the restaurant. The service is good.The only thing that bothers me is the spoon was dirty and they replaced it right away with another lightly unclean and I have cleaned it myself. I wanted to give it 5 stars but because of the spoon I would rate it 4 stars.

Had a 24oz lobster Gumba (spicy level of 7) and a shrimp diablo linguine (spicy level of 7). Both were really tasty. Spicy level of 7 is okay for me, not too spicy. The waitress is really polite, and apologized for some random strangers that tried to ask us directly for seats. The ambience is nice and well decorated.
Food was delicious. It took awhile for us to see because it was a very crowded. I got the house special as spicy as it comes it was like a tomato and broth with delicious Seafood in it. Its pretty interesting the way they cook this its like a bar with huge steam kettles and they let you go over and look at it if you choose to. I noticed some people sharing but I want to tell you you can get a small order or full order I got a full order and I ate every single by it and I dipped my bread and then juice and if I could have eaten more I would have. Bread was cold thats the one complaint I hate cold bread. Very nice staff na interesting location because its very hard to find parking. We ended up parking by a fast food restaurant close to there and walking to the restaurant. Really think if youve never been there its definitely worth it I think it will be enjoyed.
The pan roast here is always so flavorful and delicious. It’s enough to feed two people and comes with a scoop of rice in the middle, so good. They also have wonderful tasting honey butter bread. The food never disappoints.
Ever since I had experience The Oyster Bar in Las Vegas, i have been lookong for a place to eat a good pan roast! This place does not disappoint. The place is casual and does get pretty packed.My favorites here are the House Pan Roast, Bacon Wrapped Shrimp, Oysters on a half shell, calamari and dont forget the sweet tea!Food tasts fresh and the flavors are robust!!!They have happy hour Sunday to Thursday from 2-6pm. Oysters are $1 each!
Great food and fast service! The Fried Shrimp Po Boy sandwich was pretty amazing, and the calamari was great.Only con is the beignets were flavorless- something is definitely missing from the dough. I saw another review mention that but I wanted to see for myself. That was pretty disappointing since beignets are my Ultimate Fav Dessert! But nonetheless, 5/5 for overall experience!
Id say this is a good place for friends or family. The food is tasty and the server explained in detail of the food which make us have the good choice. The only thing need to keep in mind is that it take longer for them to get the food done. Ill go to this place later to try on other popular dishes.
Absolutely good if youre not in the south! Im Creole and I must say it was pretty okay. My God family is from New Orleans and I know a lot of southern down south cooking is it an excellent job.Cook fresh to order and Ill definitely be back 🥳
Found this place randomly while out looking for a bite. Amazing!!! Service was excellent (Alberto) and the food was insane delicious!! Tried the Shrimp Scampi, Po Boy Calamari sand w/cajun fries, Jambalaya, Clam Chowder soup and the Beinet. Everything we tried was so amazing! Highly recommended.
I ordered their Calamari Po boy sandwich and the famous house Pan Roast. Both are amazingly delicious. Cajun fries are too salty for both me and my friend that we couldnt finish. Will definitely come back and try out their Gumbo next time.

We found this place doing a Google search because my initial birthday dining choice was closed and I am glad we did! We arrived at a perfect time as only the workers and 2 diners were there. The tables were covered in the white paper and we were given takeout cups with straws. Right now, I consider that a clean win! Our server was attentive and respectful. We wore masks upon arrival, but were able to remove them after seating. Our server kept his mask on while tending to us, which I appreciated. We ordered the fried pickles (they were spears, not slices) and they were GREAT! Not too soggy, tart, sour or wet. They were hot with a REALLY nice crisp to them. Even as they cooled, they did not get soggy. We also ordered the shrimp and crawfish etouffee and the House Special (shrimp, crab and clams) pan roast. The etouffee had about 4 jumbo sized shrimp and full of crawfish, thick and flavorful. The etouffee was ordered with a spice level of 8, and the pan roast at a 10. Well, the 8 is a really nice spice level in that combined with the heat of fresh food, it was a little hard to actually taste and enjoy the food. The 10 level caused sweat to appear! Lol I would recommend going with a 6, to be comfortable. The food was AMAZING! We will be returning. The beignets were not on our menu, but I knew they had them from their website. These were little pillows of happiness! Almost as good as Café du Mondé in the French Quarter. We could tell the chef took pride in his work. Oh! They have an open kitchen, so you can see the magic come together! The diversity of the staff? Great! Overall, check this place out. You will NOT be disappointed!!!!!! This is one of our faves, now.
This place is the best. Supposedly they are closed for good. It really sucks. Hopefully they’ll open back up because their pan roast and clam chowder is the best ive had hands down

Large open room concept with steam Kettle bar. A wide variety of Cajun and Creole food, from boillebase to gumbo to jambalaya . Youre able to control the amount of spice that is added to each one of these dishes so you get to the amount of heat that you want and theres no surprises. A nice experience, good place to go with a large group of of people
Arrived here around 7:30pm on a Sunday night and was seated immediately (party of 2). Restaurant seemed less busy compared to other visits at this same time. Took a while to get out orders but after that, service improved.Got the House Pan Roast (level 2 spicy, since I cant handle food thats too spicy). Yummy! Very filling!One surprise from this visit was the bread and butter they give you at the beginning. They introduced a new honey butter and I became addicted. I had to request for a second round of bread and butter.
The server was awesome but the food was not like it used to be. Fried calamari was flavorless and the dipping sauce was pure horse radish.Then $24 for a gumbo bowl that had more rice than gumbo, with found 4 little pieces of sausage.And to top it off styrofoam cups for a $60 bill for 2 people.
Had the shrimp scampi and it was pretty good. Quiet atmosphere in a fairly quiet area, bread was ok. Jambalaya looks even better! Spices were fairly mild, an 8/10 wasnt spicy at all as a regular curry consumer.

Delicious pan roast! I got the chicken and sausage 24oz and it was huge. Definitely enough for 2 meals. Grabbed a few starters, like oysters and shrimp cocktail. Ive tried the jambalaya in the past and that was yummy too. Very satisfied tummy.
It took them over 70 minutes to seat, serve, and bill a single diner. The gumbos not bad but not worth waiting that long.

Always great food and service. Had the Ritters White Chowder. Full of shrimp, crab and clams. They will spice it how much you like. Definitely recommend this place for great steam kettle cooking.
For OC, I guess this is the best we can can expect for Creole. Unfortunately, it is mediocre at best compared to the real thing. The flavors have not been developed long enough as it would be done in a true Louisiana kitchen. We had the seafood pan roast and outside of 5 shrimp, there was barely any noticeable seafood. The service was horrible, we received our order and the waitress never returned until we asked for a check. Bar is overpriced beer and wine only. I hope this concept of steam crock cooking becomes more popular, just need to be authentic in their flavors.
Great food!!! Service was slow and they dont have a good process for checking in for a table. But the food is legit and worth the frustration. Highly recommend trying this out!

I ordered the House Pan Roast with the sauce on the side. The sauce filled my mouth with flavor! This is a fantastic choice. You can select your spice level from 1-10. I selected a level 3 spice and it was perfect. Just a slight hint of spice and the flavors popped!

The pan roast is craveable and really good. Spicy, creamy, satisfying. No fishiness at all. Would be 5 stars but the calamari appetizer was maybe the worst Ive ever had at a restaurant. Literally like rubber bands.
I have not eaten here in a while. It was nice to eat in this time. Seating is still arranged with some distancing. We ordered a variety of things. My hubby got the Jambalaya. Our friends ordered the Pan Roast and a Po boy Shrimp sandwich, which came with a beautiful side salad and lemon vinegrette dressing. My friend also ordered the fried okra. Unfortunately, it was too spicey for her . Our lovely waitress brought some unseasoned okra for her. The attentive service was much appreciated. I ordered the House Chowder at a 2, which was a 5 to me, due to the residual from the spicy fried Okra. Still delucious.Everyone enjoyed the meal. Its nice to know you can enjoy the fried okra without the spicey hot if you want to. Nice place, great service,and good portions.
No one greeted us, so we seated ourselves at what looked like a school cafeteria table, cracked top and stained. No acknowledgement for at least 20 min, until right as we were getting up to leave.Gumbo was good, but the calamari was so tough and chewy that we didnt eat it. Poboy had four shrimp, very wet and fell apart. Cajun seasoning was good, but just not worth the price.Should have complained and got a refund on the stale calamari and poboy, regret that we didnt.
Good food. Hadnt been here in a while because we arent in the area often. But it was just as good as I remembered. Service was excellent. I had the white chowder. My husband had the gumbo. And we shared the bacon wrapped shrimp.

This place is amazing. Where to start?First the service has been excellent every time I go. They are very attentive and make sure you have what you need.Second, their complementary bread and butter is delicious. That sweet butter with the bread really hits the spot.And their food is so yummy. We always get their special pot with seafood and i just cant get enough of it. I crave it when Im home sometimes lol.Also they have happy hour on weekdays 4 - 6 pm. 3 dollars off appetizers and beers. Excellent 👌

We were seated quickly as there were open tables in the early afternoon on a Saturday. However, by the time we left in the evening there was a line out the door. Unfortunately they seem to be understaffed so the service was slow and they forgot a few of our orders which made our meal last even longer. The po-boys are sadly lacking. We got the fried catfish and fried chicken, both were very tasteless. The bread has more flavor than the meat. Then my son ordered the seafood chowder with no spice, yet it was actually at least a medium if not hotter. The only thing that was decent was my wifes pan fry. Even the beignets were bland.
Service was a little slow to start, they were a little under-staffed when we arrived. The food was good, there are options for kids that you can ask about, not all of the kids stuff is on the menu. The fried okra is good, the gumbo is the go to in my opinion. I had the cilantro chicken dish this time though just to try and its not as good as the gumbo.
The gumbo was very good, the rice was comparable to serving and the atmosphere was fine. I rated it a 4 as the service was just ok.

I used to be a working chef in New Orleans. This food has very little to do with traditional French Creole food, but it’s still enjoyable. My wife is a pescatarian and she also does very well here. The food is rich and the portions large. Ask for an extra side of rice for your take out otherwise it’s too much sauce for the carbohydrate base. We also like to order by subbing out pasta for rice.
It can be busy so you may have to wait at times. Def worth the wait though. Heard a rumor they may close down....fingers cross they wont lol. Their chicken and sausage cream pan is the best!
I’m bewildered by the good reviews! My salad dressing was pure lemon concentrate and burned my mouth and the shrimp scampi was literally noodles sitting in pasta water. Inedible! The bread they serve was the biggest joke of all. Literally grocery store hotdog buns.

Service was very nice, friendly, and pleasing! Very fun environment and good food! The larger portion size is perfect for sharing, and the waitress was very nice that she had someone from the back show us the size of the bowls! We had the chowder fries, soft shell crab, shrimp scampí, gumbo, and pot roast! I was really excited to try the chowder fries but they didnt have as much chowder as I would have liked but it was still good! The soft shell crab was a bit salty but a nice app! I liked the pot roast the best!! Would definitely be something to try! Would definitely come back!
Excellent place for comfort food, love their pan roast with the creamy and savory goodness, I ordered a level 8 spice level and it was quite a bit lower than what I would hope for an 8/10 spice level, but it was still delicious. Love their clam chowder fries and fried pickles. The rest of my party enjoyed the different varieties of pan roast and my oldest kid had their sausage sandwich. Had a great experience here and the pan roast is definitely a great meal to have on a cold day. Will be back for sure.
We love the seafood here and portions for gumbo and pan roasts are plentiful! The Ritters chowder and house pan roast are a must try!! If you like it not so spicy, ask for level 1 or none...
My husband is from Gulfport MS so we’ve had our fair share of Cajun food and were excited for something authentic. We got the shrimp po boy, étouffée and red beans and rice. We wanted to like the food but the Cajun flavors fell short and were slightly off. Instead of remoulade on the po boy they used a weird mustard sauce and the coleslaw on top was vinegary instead of sweet. The étouffée was too tomatoey instead of the standard rich creaminess and overall everything seemed to lack depth of flavor. Salt and spice level was good. The food was good for what it was but it definitely wasn’t Cajun. The service was also awkward. We probably won’t be coming back.
Great southern food at a very reasonable price. The soft-shell crab is amazing, and are the different variety of Pan Roasts which come in huge portions. They make calamaris really crispy and yummy so make sure you try it to compare with other places. Its great for this part of the city to have an additional choice of Cajun dining experience.
Low key atmosphere, food was excellent and service was very good. You can request the spiciness you desire when ordering. I went for a 3 and it was enough of a bite to be enjoyable, but not so much I broke out sweating. Mixed Gumbo was spot on and the red beans and rice had a great flavor. Rice in both cases was cooked perfectly and the roux sauce in the gumbo was delicious.
We called ahead a few days early to let them know that we were planning on celebrating a birthday for a friend of ours. They asked us to come at 5:30pm because there was 8 of us and they wanted to make sure there was space for all of us. We arrived at 5:30pm and they had us wait an hour and a half outside before we were seated. It was pretty dang cold that night close to 45 degrees with a little wind. Not sure why we even bothered to call or show up early. All told the food was good but when they served us we had all selected different heat levels of spiciness and they intermingled 4 out of 8 of our dishes. So some started digging in only to be burning...so instead of waiting 30 minutes for a new plate we just swapped and ate from the plates already eaten from. Probably not the most COVID safe practice but wed waited almost 2 hours to eat..so we were hungry. Service was just ok...a little slow...we ended up finishing our food as they were locking up for the night.
I enjoyed this place. The staff all had mask & because I dined here during CoVid my dishes were served in to go containers I did enjoy my meal.

Great local Cajun food
I love coming here. Their oysters are always amazing and their house oysters are so good. The most popular thing here is their pan roast. I always get their combination pan roast at a level 4 so I can enjoy the taste (Im a whip for spicy things). Everyone that Ive taken here loves it. I always get the rice on the side when ordering the pan roast but lately Ive tried it with noodles and its still really good. Pan roast portions are big enough to share between two people.

Wow and freaking OUCH!I hate to give a negative review when it was a near perfect experience.The place is great, very nice atmosphere, fantastic food, 3rd best chowder I have had in my life on the west coast. Servers were great and friendly. Did I say the food was fantastic yet? Well it was......And the 2 thorns in my side. Left and right.... the chairs. OMG that sucked. Nearly everybody has to sit half forward on the chair because the chairs are so small. I felt like I was sitting in Vietnam again. I am not fat either. 36 in waist and it was uncomfortable the whole time.Their rolls are very excellent and their food is fantastic!
House pan roast is the best. Dont forget to ask for bread to sop all the delicious sauce up. One serving is food enough to feed 3!Red Beans and rice is also a must have. Ive had the gumbo, jambalaya and bouillabase, all are goo, but the pan roast is what makes me come back.

First time here today. I was brought here by a friend that has been here a few times. Ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp and the fried shrimp po boy sandwich and I was very pleased with the food. Everything was fresh and tasted delicious! Zero complaints. I will DEFINITELY be coming back.
Good to see this place open still. It seems like they were a little overwhelmed with only two people running the place but doing the best they can to stay open. If you want to go, easier to do it with grubhub or just walk in as they were busy trying to get all the orders in and not having a chance to get to the phone. Food was still fantastic and filling. Will continue to support the industries!!
The food is fairly good, but unfortunately there are not many choices for vegan or vegetarian people. Additionally, the Kids menu has only three options, and none if those were Cajun kitchen. The restaurant itself is noisy and pretty cold, like most seafood places, but the staff are exceptionally friendly! I would definitely return. 7/10

Ritters is DELICIOUS! The Cajun fries are so good and the service there is always great. The portions are huge and make for great leftovers. My friend tried it with me once and she is still dreaming about this place. Great bang for your buck. Also, great for sharing.
Food was okay. I got the fried okra because I am from the south and we love our fried okra. Some pieces were not cooked all the way through and some were. It was hit and miss. The pieces that were good tasted like traditional fried okra and I liked the sauce that came with it. I got the shrimp Po Boy as well. The shrimp tasted fishy, the bread didnt have a good fresh taste to it, the fries tasted like they were made hours ago and it was overall disappointing. I have been wanting to try this place for a long time so I am kinda bummed.
The service was good as was some of the food. The shrimp gumbo was very good and our favorite dish; spicy, flavorful and with a plentiful amount of oh-so-good okra. Unfortunately the bread and butter were cold and hard and the etouffee was bland and a bit gelatonous. We likely wont return, but it was worth a try.
Yum. I love soup. Probably my top 10 favorite things to eat. Even though its summer, you cant go wrong with this place.We got the Ritters famous gumbo (okra, sausage, dark roux suace) with crab and Ritters famous pan roast (tomato cream base creole dish) with chicken to share among the 3 of us and it was more than enough food. Especially when you add in the free bread and the appetizers you steal from your friends dishes.I really like both of them. The gumbo was a little more earthy and the pan roast was lighter and more tomato-y which makes sense because its one of the ingredients. I didnt have a clear favorite, so either one of them works. The crab is really good. All the seafood tasted really good actually.Overall, good meal. I would come back.
The service in the beginning was great there was no wait and go seated right away. We go our orders taken. And it took a while back to get our server to come back to us after they served our food. Ordered the famous house pan roast it was delicious would highly recommend!
Everything was delicious. Everyone was beyond friendly. The place was eerily perfect. Spicy, hot, fresh food. We didnt manage dessert, but I imagine it wouldve turned out the same way. The pan fry was sweet and spicy with fresh seafood and the linguini with clams was light and delicious. Red bean started was piping hot when it came out and was perfect to introduce the meal. Check this place out and try EVERYTHING.
Jonathan was our waiter and what impeccable service we had. Jonathan was not just an excellent waiter, he was also very entertaining. He kept us in stitches. He seated our party quickly and took our drink orders. Jonathan was very patient with us helping us with the menu selections because we had not eaten there before. We ordered fresh oysters, spaghetti and shrimp, combo-sausage, crab and shrimp, house special pan roast and lobster pan roast.Omg everything was so delicious. We ordered ice tea and hot tea to go with our meals. Our food came out piping hot which you know it was made fresh. The guy makes it right at the counter where you can see the guy put everything together.The other servers were good to bring us drinks if Jonathan was busy. This was a totally relaxed and fun place to have dinner with good friends .
Terrible service. Dirty dishes and decent food. Too many comparable places to go back. No my favorite. I had to go to bar to ask for another drink becuase waitress never came around to check out. Lady at bar said she souls bring me a new glass but instead came back with a dirty dish. Workers seems like related to owners. Workers feel entitled and care less about delivering a good experience vs pocketing your money. I will never go back. Food is decent and environment nice, but lack of good management and cleanliness.
Want something a bit different ? Well this place sure does it, yes at times there is a wait . So best advice is to not go on peak hours of the day . I was able to try their pan roast with rice and it was simply amazing . They did not skimp on the ingredients in which most establishments do. The portion can be big enough for people to share if you order other items. I also was able to try the maple bacon shrimp, no need to really explain that if your a bacon lover . Overall service and vibe of the place is awesome .
Food is delicious, and portions are huge. Our favourites are the House Pan Roast, Cioppino, and the Shrimp Scampi. The gumbo is good too, but my personal preference is filé rather than okra. The wait can get long if you go during peak times. Service is generally quick; it was only slower once, and it was when the restaurant was packed with customers.
Steam kettle cooking brought from Louisiana that entertains and rewards your taste buds with fabulous Cajun Creole treats or simple pleasures like their fabulous oysters on the half shell. I strongly recommend this restaurant for overwhelming out-of-state, or out-of country visitors because of its entertainment value and the great variety of delicious foods. Unique steam cooking method done right at the bar so you can watch. Your food gets hot but never burnt! They rank their hot spice on a scale of 1-10, try some around 5 if youre being cautious. All around great experience with business friends.

We have been there many times over the last year. The stews taste pretty good. I am no expert on this Cajun stuff so maybe I dont know what good is supposed to taste like. The spice levels are weak. I got a 9/10 pan roast and there was barely a tingle in my throat. I watched the guys behind the counter and it looks like the regulate the spice level by the amount of dried powdered cayenne pepper in the sauce. We have gotten oysters a few times and they are hit or miss, the last time they tasted sketchy and risky. Soft shell crab was good.
Ritters was a vendor at Monster Mash II and their clam chowder and pan roast was a hit amongst almost everyone so when the opportunity arose, I chose this place for our dinner.Service is awesome here. We were seated immediately with waters, bread, and butter. Save all the bread and ask for more to soak up in the amazing pan roast broth. Youll be glad you did.Food is spicy and on par with what youll find in New Orleans. You can get the pan roast with a variety of meats or seafood. We got shrimp but its also great with the chicken and sausage and then also add an order of their spicy jambalaya.The pan roast was just as awesome as I remembered it to be. Portions are huge but I was able to devour mine. Sooo good.If you want to watch them cook with the kettles and steam, go to the bar but it can be noisy there. We chose to sit near the window and avoid all the noise but either way, its still a great dining experience.
I had never been here before but it sounded good so we gave it a try. Friends meet me here and were here about 10 to 15 minutes before me. I waited another 10 minutes then decided to chase down a waitress to try to seat us. She said sorry but they were done taking customers for today take out only now with empty table a little over an hr to go as they close at 8. I dont mind the fact that they didnt want to take anymore customers but they should at least acknowledge them, I shouldnt have to run after one to ask if they can help me. Too bad seemed like a place I would enjoy.
Good location with plenty of parking. Food here is delicious. Pan roast is a must and clam chowder is like no other Ive had. Sit at the bar and watch them cook on the steam kettles. Try the bacon wrapped shrimp for appetizers. Just dont fill up on bread and butter cuz portions are big
I had the catfish poboy and it was fire. To be honest I couldnt tell if it was chicken or not, but that is cause it was seasons so well! I liked the food a lot, but the oyster were on the smaller side, it was cleaned properly and tasted clean so I cant complain about that. Honestly it would have been a 4 out of 5 but theres a dope donut shop that has some good donuts to eat for desert!
Had the combo Pan Toast with rice and noodles on the side. Very close in taste to the oyester bar in palace Station, las Vegas. Love this place
The Pan Roast is by far one of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life.
The food was delicious. Went there for happy hour so amongst everyone at the table we tried a little of everything. I ordered the shrimp poboy and fried okra, and both were really good. Also tried the fried pickles (one of our favorites), and oysters. Others at the table had red beans and rice, softshell crab poboy, and steamed clams, all of which they said were good. Their happy hour deals were really good too ($3 off beer, $2 off wine and discounts on the apps).The service was great, very friendly and checked up on us regularly, but not too often.
One of my favorite restaurants in the area. Fairly pricy, but the food is awesome. Servers have always been very friendly. One time during a holiday, the chef was very slow cooking the dishes and they used the wrong protein. The server apologized multiple times and compensated. Highly recommended place for date or big party.
Food was good. Had the house gumbo and steamed mussels in garlic butter sauce and fried okra. Wife had the cioppino. The flavor had not developed. Service was decent. Mussels took longer than usual and came out with our meal. Everything was going well until the waitress came to clear the table. She spilled half the bowl of mussel broth in my lap (accidentally, I hope). She was apologetic. Typically if this happens, usually the manager comes out to apologize and offer a complimentary offering. Nope. The waitress brought the receipt and that was that. So now I smell like garlic butter and my shorts and shirt are ruined with grease stains that are impossible to get out. Good thing I wasnt wearing anything close to fancy. Unfortunately I will not be back to this place which is too bad because I love gumbo.
We dropped in here after happy hour at Zimzala (yuck). Ive been meaning to try this place since Im from the South - its not exactly what I remember as Southern food because Im from MS but was intrigued by this Cajun cuisine. First things first: they do have sweet tea. Hallelujah! We ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp to start. They are huge! And delicious! I couldve eaten a whole nother order! I opted to try the pan roast since it seemed to be the house special. I ordered the house which had crab, shrimp clams and lobster. I ordered mine with no clams (but ended up having clams in there anyway....). The order is HUGE and it was plenty for my friend and I to share. It was creamy and flavorful. (Beware if you have lactose issues....plan to possibly be out of commission afterward)
Almost close to my fifth time at this restaurant and it never disappoints. Service can be slow at times because of the large crowds, but nothing to complain about. Staff is very knowledgeable and attentive. The House Pan Roast is my favorite along with their oysters! Seating is tight when its a full house so try to beat the dinner rush!Parking is pretty annoying. Cauldron customers also share the lot but the spaces are T I N Y and N A R R O W.
Oye where to start with Ritter’s?We wanted to try this place out because it was highly recommended by friends and we had a coupon.We went early on a weeknight because we heard that it gets pretty busy around dinner time. Got seated pretty quickly at a small table by the window.Got our complementary bread while we looked at the menu. After deciding what we wanted, we waited for someone to come and take our order. No one came or was in the dining area after several minutes of us looking around the restaurant, so we waited some more.We finally got to order and I got the combo Ritter’s Famous Pan Roast which comes with shrimp, crab, and sausage. My husband ordered a Po’ Boy Sandwich. We got the Fried Okra “Devil’s Popcorn” to share.The okra came out fairly quickly and while I am a big fan of fried okra, these were way too salty with barely any okra inside the batter! We ended up not finishing them.After that, my husband’s sandwich came out and after he proceeded to finish over half of it, we wondered where my pan roast was. I flagged down a waiter to inquire about it and he said he would go check on it. Somehow there was a mix up in the kitchen and my order was never placed!When it finally came out and I tried it, the taste of it was too creamy for my liking and didn’t mesh well with my palate. I tried to eat as much as I could, but couldn’t bring myself to finish it.When we asked for the bill, the waiter asked if we wanted to take the fried okra and pan roast to go and we had to decline. We ALWAYS take food we can’t finish to go because we don’t want to be wasteful, but this was not worth taking home at all. Even with the coupon we had, we felt like we overpaid for the quality of the food we received.Will not be back!!!
We ordered few dishes but only beer and chowder fries are good. Calamari and side crab sandwich are bad. They were quite smelling probably because not fresh. Avoid these dishes! But service was good.
After a long day doing a scavenger hunt sponsored by the 2021 OC FAIRE, we ventured throughout OC. My friend and I mapped out an entire day. We picked Stacks Pancake House for breakfast in Irvine and hunt. Then off to Costa Mesa and hunt. (sad to find Taco Asylum closed permanently), to Santa Ana and hunt, back to Costa Mesa where we met the fiesta de resistance, Ritters for dinner!!!!!We really felt safe, welcomed, with an amazing attentive staff throughout our time.We understand theres a covid limit on seating, (respectfully), which brings me to the safe part. As we were greeted by the most cordial staff member, the waitlist began. The waitlist didnt take but 5-10 minutes. We were seated at our table and felt welcomed and comfortable.I asked our sweet, attentive server to order my food. Yes, what better way to experience someones favorite foods, than to allow them to order for you!We did insist on the fried pickles to start, which came out within minutes, with a delicious sauce. The batter was great. Batter makes or breaks a good deep fried pickle. Only thing that could have passed them were green fried tomatoes, which they dont have. Just dreaming.The server ordered for me the Rutgers Famous Pan Roast Crab and Shrimp, which is a Tomato Cream-based Creole.He did not disappoint!( ha-ha)It was flavorful, on point, and absolutely delicious. The aromatic smell engulfs the senses as it approaches the nose, open wide as it enters the mouth and hits the tastebuds. WOW! AMAZING PERFECTION.The staff was doing a super job, refilling drinks, perparing the meals at a great flow, tending to the To Go orders, peoples needs in the sit down section, and the waitlist grew.Lets not forget to thank the COOKS, who mastered this euphoric experience too.RITTERS DOES NOT DISAPPOINT! Great food and excellent service. I came for lunch and ordered the dirty chowder which is a side-by-side presentation of their Manhattan and New England chowders. So Gooood. The bread basket is the only size needed :) I wish Id taken a pic to post, but if you like chowder - check this one out.Note: its a sizable portion...i walked out quite full.
A great place to check out for Louisiana style seafood. If you were looking to try raw oysters they sell them here at market price so youll have to check in with your waiter for the days price.The menu offers a wide assortment of choices and the lunch menu in particular has some fantastic value with their sandwiches. I definitely recommend getting one of their gumbos or the bouillabaise for a spicy sampling of the clams, lobster, and shrimp they have to offer.
This place is one of the most favorite restaurant when there are visitors outside of this area for me. If the visitor is not for formal business style but more of a family/friend, this place is very nice. Decent food with a few different choices of entrees and appetizers and louisiana style food is very well replicated and made more modernized.
Food is tasty and plentiful. As with any food, be prepared for unique flavors. The spices are not for the feint of pallet. Worth the trip.
My boyfriend swears this place is super good. I honestly cant help compare it to place in Arizona thats authentic. But as my boyfriend says, its the closest thing you got.I ordered the etouffee. My take on it is that you need to order it spicy AF, because it lacks depth/flavor and the spice makes up for it. If you make that mistake, you can always ask for habanero. The crawfish and shrimp werent tough, but werent tender either. Not a showstopper.My boyfriends dish, the pan roast, was a lot better. Too bad I have a dairy intolerance.Anyway Im giving this place a four stars because even though I dont think the etouffee was spectacular I dont think this place deserves lower. The service we had was good. When I wanted to make the dish spicier, she came back with options. The prices are kind of expensive, but also kind of expected.

I wish we went a litter higher on the level of spiciness though but my friend cant handle spicy.Although Oyster Bar in Vegas is better, this is a close second! Give it a try!

This place is so delicious is crazy! Definitely one of my favorite restaurants. I always get the sausage and chicken pan roast and its so so so good! Rich, creamy with delicious pieces of sausage and chicken
The food here was delicious, full of flavor, with the option of varying the amount of spicy heat in each entree. I ordered the Cilantro Chicken, which came with fettuccine noodles, a flavorful broth, pieces of white meat chicken, diced tomatoes, andouille sausage, and fresh cilantro; and my husband ordered the Shrimp Diablo in a tomato based sauce with fettuccine noodles. We also had the fried okra and fried pickles, both with a spicy cream dip, and the beignets, which came with a light chocolate mousse. The service was friendly and timely, and made sure everything was to our liking. There was plenty of seating for both small and large groups at both the bar area and tables, but it did get a little noisy. The parking lot is good sized and shares with a few other stores. The bathroom is a single, but very large. I would recommend this place for anyone who likes cajun style food.

Love this place. They dont have it right now because of the lockdowns measures, but the bouillabaisse I my go to. You cant find a dish like this anywhere else, or at least I havent. The chowder is excellent, and the appetizers compliment the menu well.
The food was excellent however the staff was not friendly nor did they seem to enjoy their work. It felt like they were all stuck working over when there was somewhere else they wanted to be. The atmosphere/decor was supposed have a New Orleans vibe but it was nothing special.
OMG so delicious!! Must get the pan roast!! Got the pan roast with sausage and chicken and it was to die for. Totally craving it now and wish I lived closer! Perfect size for two. Delicious with the rice. Super savory, creamy, and chunks of sausage paired so well with the rice.Also highly recommend the bacon wrapped shrimp. It was very firm, juicy, and the bacon wasnt overpowering the flavor the the shrimp.
They are officially closed so sad to see all because of bad ownership and I know this cuz Im close to guys that work there they had the most amazing clam chowder in California,.. hands down
I like their theme & what they were going for, & wanted to like my meal. But neither I nor my dinner guest, really enjoyed our meals. They seem to be a popular spot, but either we ordered the wrong dishes or theyre just not to our liking. Wont be going back.
This place is legit. My new favorite place in the south coast metro area. Best clam chowder in oc! Their house pan roast is amazing and a must try. This place is all about quality and quantity. Bring your appetite and expect to bring home some left overs.
My wife likes this place much more than I do but the one dish I always get is good enough to come back to from time to time, Shrimp Diablo although I get zero hot so it kinda takes the fire out of the Diablo part but thats ok. Their 1 hot is like a 5 to me so be careful. The more you like New Orleans Cajun cuisine the better. Great location and parking has rarely ever been an issue but it can get busy on traditional nights so plan ahead and reserve a table. Great ice cream place next door too in case things were too hot, lol. Enjoy.

Went here for a lunch date with my husband on Saturday. I was quite skeptical but had heard many good things from friends, and am glad I gave it a chance! Food was delicious and the portions were large! I only give 4 stars instead of 5 because we had to ask for more water multiple times.
We walked out after waiting over 40 minutes for our server to bring us something, anything. Not only did it take 10 minutes for her to even notice we were there and to take our order, but she ignored us afterward. No drink refills, no soup (which just has to be ladled out of a pot and served), no checking up at all to see if we needed anything. The food here is terrific if you get any, but skip the appetizers; they will usually arrive AFTER your entrée when you probably wont want them anymore.
This place can get pretty busy so come early as they dont take reservations!I had a first-timer with me, so we sat at the counter so we can watch them make our food. :)Ordered:* Pan Roast with Chicken and Andouille Sausage - YUM. Ordered with rice, and the sausage and chicken were so flavorful in the sauce. Great to dip the bread into too! We shared and it was the perfect amount! Considerably less expensive than the seafood version as well. And for someone that prefers raw fish to cooked seafood, this was a great alternative.* Maple Bacon Wrapped Shrimp - Had to order this since its BACON wrapped. Huge shrimps and very juicy! I personally dont think it needs the honey mustard sauce though!Since it was a birthday, they gave us a FULL order of their Bread Pudding with Ice Cream on top! I was pretty amazed they gave the full size actually. However, they were so busy, that they didnt have time to sing the birthday song, which was fine. They also forgot to remove the bread pudding from our bill, but they took care of it right away. (So be sure to check your bill!)Yum yum yum!Second visit:* Pan Roast with Chicken/Sausage but got PASTA this time. I think I liked this better than the rice!* Fried Calamari - This was great! And the sauce that went along with it packed a punch.
I think that both this and kettlebar will always be compared to the place in Vegas. The pan roast and gumbo are good but not great. Theres just a level of depth thats missing when compared to the oyster bar in palace station.
This place is in the right location and while I thought my dish was just ok. Everyone else was very well pleased with their dish. So I am willing to try again. There is no bar at this point so you will be limited to Soft drinks for your choices. I had the cilantro chicken. which was not bad by any means just not selling me very much..
I have enjoyed everything I have ordered there. Today our table had the pan roast combo, salad and clam chowder, shrimp po boy, and beignets. Delicious. Service was a little slow today, but the food is worth a little wait.
The place is small, and quiet which is nice. The food is freaking great. Go there and get one of their pan roasts. You will not be disappointed.
They have really good cajun food here. The place is cool, its like a deconstructed concept. Pretty modern. Menu may seem limited compared to other restaurants but you have to give it a try. Its delicious.

Bread was fresh and warm, clam chowder was excelant, the ceaser salid was good, but over priced, the house gumbo was flavorless mush! The chicken and sausage linguini almost had some flavor. The service was ok. The prices were way out of line for the tasteless main courses. Needless to say we wont be going back
Amazing food. Always. Their customer service is just kind of...slow. And poor. Servers seem to have either a high turn over or just dont care. I still go though, because the food is THAT good.

The food is always great and made fresh to order. My favorite is the house Pan Roast. One of my favorite meals of all time. This time we asked for the complimentary bread to be heated, and it was a nice touch.
Love the food here. The bacon wrapped shrimp was amazing so where the chowder fries. The clam chowder soup was the best. I also enjoyed the rice and beans.
The bread was stale, even on my main dish, a po boy, so the places baking could definitely use some work. The raw oysters and soup were really good though, so I think it just depends on what you order. Prices arent cheap, but it is seafood, so you cant expect it to be too much lower. Stick with soups and chowder when you come here, and everything should turn out well.
One of the Nasty and worst places ever, food not great and waiting for a long time and after we waited as we were told for hour and half the manger told us it will be additional 45 minutes because the owner is using some of the table for some of his friends and he was very rude to me and my family when we start speaking with him and raised our voices in frustration he went to be more rude and we end us leaving and WE WILL NOT GO BACK TO this horrible place. and from pervious visit food is not that good it is below average.
Deliciously spicy even though I only got my food at level 3. Unfortunately, I think thats about the highest level I can take. If you like spicy, this is the place for you.I tried the gumbo with rice. The flavors were pleasantly complimentary.
Ive only had the red beans and rice-spicy and delicious like I remember from my wonder years in New Orleans. Also a couple of good IPAs on draft to choose from.
I can only speak for the dish I ate. I Had the chicken and sausage pan roast. The best way to describe the flavor is a Indian chicken tika dish. I wasnt expecting it but it was good. Also I recommend the bacon wrapped shrimp! That was delicious.
Only decent thing is the water & wine . My “Blackened Salmon” was almost raw in the middle the picture is very deceiving on the website & the pot pie bs was to the bare minimum glad my rice was cooked well is the least i can say. DONT GET ANY OF THE DESERTS THANK ME LATER
Well I was excited to try, but wished I just didnt bother. When walking in it was busy and smelled great. However when greeted it was a bit stale. But i can get passed that. When placing our order the young lady did not write anything down. I was impressed, but when my sprite never came I became worried. I then became really worried when my sons food never arrived. She seemed annoyed when I asked for the sprite again (twice afrer the original request) which never came until we were given the check. I gave it a one star because the food was okay. Nothing fantastic but okay. Just wish my son would have received his meal would have been a lot better not having to share..... sorry but would not recommend this place.

Amazing flavor, and just enough spice. The food was so good here, glad we happened to find ya since we are from out of town. Good vibe, packed when we arrived which is always a good sign. Definitely will be back next year when we come to town.
Awesome southern food. Go with the house gumbo for an intro meal. They also serve wine and beer. No cocktails. No lines on Monday through Wednesday evenings. Expect a long wait on weekends.
Appetizers are so good!! Such a great place and atmosphere. Everyone is so nice, would suggest if you are going when it is peak hours to put in your name before or calling in early.
The ritters chowder is probably the best hands down and most unique clam chowder there is around ! And u can make it as spicy as u want .only down side it this place closes early for me some times

Didnt like all their restrictions and table separations.. it felt weird there and I used to love that place. Its too bad they have caved to the tyranny of the state. They will probably go under unless they take a stand against our dictator governor. With a 99.9% recovery rate with covid this is just a farce.

The pan roast here is an over-the-top, divinely decadent experience that is not to be missed. Since portions are big I strongly suggest splitting one so you can also sample their excellent starters and desserts.
Its definitely difficult to find a place with great cajun food. It was my birthday and I had told my brother that I wanted to get some gumbo and jambalaya. We had searched high and low. And he had came across this over on yelp. He showed me this restaurant and I had agreed. I live all the way in Northridge and he lives in Irvine. So this quite an opportunity to try new places over where he lives at. Outside and Inside is stunning. The wait is not too much of hassle. The food is incredible. I have dined here almost 3-4 times. If I live in Santa Ana, I am sure I would be a frequent customer. Their fries are to die for. We enjoy eating the jambalaya and gumbo. Its definitely a treat to come here because the flavor, taste, and spiciness is top-notch. I have a loss for words when I come here. Every scoop of gumbo or jambalaya is a taste of heaven entering my mouth. I am surprised my parents love the food as well. My parents are definitely the picky type and they arent good with change. They like to stick with the same thing. So when my mom and dad gave the thumbs up, I was utterly surprised. This is my to-go place when I am in the area. Just thinking about this place, I have intentions of coming here for my birthday in October. Maybe even going this sunday, since I will be visiting my brother..HMMMMMM... thank you Ritters Steam Kettle. Maybe give me a free refill on lemonade?? yummy!!!!! ((mouth watering))
Tried to place an order at 9:40pm, business clearly advertises theyre open and take orders until 10PM both on their website and here on Yelp. Was informed, our kitchen is already closed. We did last call for food at 9:30pm. Nothing we can do. Shut down our boilers.Really bad policy. False advertising. Bad management.
Went to the Huntington Beach location. It was completely empty, but we were beyond impressed! Everything smelled aaaamazing. The HOUSE PAN ROAST was definitely one of the BEST dishes I had on my week vacation in Newport. The fried chicken sandwich I could do without, the jambalaya was ok, and the salmon salad was good. Get your liquor license ritters & give us some good beer with your spicy foods ;)!!
Ritters has a sports bar rustic appeal so its great for a few beers while watching the game with your mates. However, BYOS - Bring Your Own Seasoning. The chowder did not have the kick that I was expecting from the price point I paid. Not a bad experience.
The house pan roast is really good! For $23, I wish they would pack more seafood into the bowl. Ive been to a similar restaurant where theyve packed your bowl with tons of seafood and made your moneys worth. If youve been to Oyster Bar in Palace Station at Las Vegas Neveda, you would know exactly what Im talking about. Other than that, this place is still a good alternative.
Visited HB looking for great seafood. It was sort of late one night but I found them on Yelp and went. We tried the Cioppino, the Chowder, and the shrimp PoBoy. ALL delicious. Server was so friendly and the food was wonderful, despite coming late and close to their closing time. They had a promo where you could Instagram a pic of your food for free scones. TOTALLY RECOMMEND IT.
Have the Pan Roast with whatever makes you happy because its the best meal will have in weeks. I also advise the Clam Chowder.

Has very good food however I feels this place is loud, even when partially full. Something about the walls, just didnt like constantly having to yell even though Im next to the person. Normally noise is not an issue at other places and I wouldnt care however this places is bad.
Their signature Pan Roast is amazing, their Cajun fried are perfectly seasoned, the bites I had of everyones food tasted good. Even their bread and butter was delicious!
Steam kettle cooking brought from Louisiana that entertains and rewards your taste buds with fabulous Cajun Creole treats or simple pleasures like their fabulous oysters on the half shell. I strongly recommend this restaurant for overwhelming out-of-state, or out-of country visitors because of its entertainment value and the great variety of delicious foods.
If its good enough for cleaning its good enough for cooking. Im talking about Steam people. Quite possibly the only steam food place other than say a dumpling house. Its certainly classified as southern, creole and seafood, but perhaps they should use my preferred term Gulf Cooking.The location and décor may not prove you the authenticity and deliciousness, but make no mistake. They churn out some good as it gets West of the Mississippi food youll have. Décor is kind of basic, a little too corporate franchise and not enough Mom & Pop style. Imagine Boiling Crab, but less shrimp boat pirate. Service is good and they know whose eaten here before and are super welcoming to the uninitiated to make them feel comfortable with the style cooking.Starts. No lemon for the calamari, thats kind of a new thing and not entirely common for cooked calamari anyhow. Crispy crunch and not chewy. The fries are a bit basic. Fried pickles are excellent if you like them, snap to them and the cream sauce has some kick to it despite it looking a bit lie Ranch. Red beans and rice with the Andouille is the staple to many Creole dishes and is excellent. I get this every time. Spicy Softshell crab needs a delivery, like a slider or bacon blt/po boy to take it from a somewhat basic app to a more complete entrée. The oysters are gulf and not the PNW or Atlantic many expect. If your not used to clams they are smaller and heartier than mussles and to me they take better to a basic flavor like the standard vs. red steamer (tomato based soup stock). The bacon wrapped shrimp are not your basic seafood wrapped in bacon app, they marinade the shrimp in molasses, add mozzarella and deep fry it. The molasses mustard has this BBQ sauce sweetness with some tang from the mustard. Another good one for the uninitiated.As good as their seafood is I stay away from the clam chowders (both NE and Manhattan). Nothing wrong with them, both are good, but the nuances needed to make them sing just arent quite there, but their tomato sauces are good so its one of the better Manhattan chowders around. Go with the Ritters chowder because it has shrimp and crab and more fills out the simple clam chowder ingredients. Ive never had a salad, probably because Ive never been to the south and seen anyone eat a salad when Ive stayed at their house. Thats more for marketability. Po Boys with anything fried are amazing, but Ive suggested on a # of occasions if they made a softshell crab, shrimp and bacon po boy, it would kill. The catfish and chicken dont quite do the sandwich type justice so if youre more adventurous try the fried oysters. The bread is soft and if you overload with sauce and ingredients does fall apart. I suggest getting a po boy with another dish to use the sauce as a dip. Mustard isnt enough and leaves the po boy lacking any kick. Linguine and clams in white sauce isnt quite East Coast Italian, but its better than what we get out here usually and something I get quite often. The diablo shrimp doesnt have kick so dont think its spicy. You should add okra to everything. Its such a staple, but I know many cant handle the texture.Cioppino is kind of bland, compared to a real Italian version or even the siete mares Mexican version. Filling, but not heavy. The Gumbo is HEAVY and will sink your battleship so dont try and eat this on your own. It really should be shared, its also not cheap or small at all. Etouffee is like a lighter version, but the only item with crawfish. They really need to have that a la cart. T Pan Roast is also a large shared item somewhat like paella.6+ add gratuity and prepare to get messy and youll probably smell like seafood even with a good handwash, a good shower should do it. Id say its a value on what you get if you choose right, but stay away from the lobster as it gets pricey and not something they really even use down there.
Always enjoy getting the pan roast and some fried okra! The butter on the bread they give you is AMAZING! They also have a keto menu now! Which is pretty neat. (My fiancé eats keto).

If you wish you experience Louisiana for what its worth, drink a mint julip, listen to zydeco and eat at Ritters.The location is within south coast metros revamped buildings dubbed The Gateway. This revamped area welcomes Cheff Ritter with open arms into the home of south coasts foodie central. From the outside of the restaurant you will immediately notice this locations huge open windows looking into what just looks like the right place to be. The venue itself is slightly small so there may be a wait for you to have an open table, however dont let that sway you to the second rate restaurant across the street; this place is well worth the time if you want to have a bit of Cajun. Upon walking the sound of spoons scraping for the last morsel of gumbo drown out the blues music in the background. The smell of bubbling goodness permeates the air. Yea... the right place.Sat down at the Kettle Bar and was immediately greeted by a gentleman dubbed RJ. He asked if this was the first time weve been to Ritters and he had taken the time to give us his idea of the favorites. He truly looked like he enjoyed preparing our meal. I would recommend the kettle bar as the seat in the house. The people preparing food truly look like they enjoy what they are doing and have no problem answering questions about what they are doing. At the kettle bar, be prepared for having an eye of jealousy at the food you wish you had ordered and take note of what you would to order the next time you come here.My wife had the po boy fried chicken sandwich, I ordered both the Ritters oysters and the house pan roast.The Oysters were made well. Albeit different from your norm. The oysters are made with a spicy tomato peanut butter... bacon sauce (thats a mouthful). I never thought that these flavors would go very well together however it is strangely delicious. I would recommend this route if you decide that you would want to try a cooked oyster rather than raw.The house pan roast started simmering after RJ caught the fact that I had about 3 oysters left on my plate. Ive been quickly taken through what he places into the kettle while I salivate over the oyster shells on my plate. I originally ordered a spicy level of 5 on my kettle. RJ recommended 7 because it really is NOT that spicy. The complete pan roast had an awesome consistency which reminded me of a great seafood bisque. The okra was slightly drowned out which personally I hoped for larger pieces. The clams finished off the texture with tender bite and not rubbery, I was impressed. My wife looked over with a smirk grabbed a piece of bread and was slightly upset that she didnt go for this creme de la creme of creole cooking. It was only a matter of time where I was drowning out the blues music with my spoon scraping the bottom of my bowl.Would I come here again? Hell yes. Without a question. At any point your in the middle of south coast plaza and want to ditch the houtie toutie; and want to come back to earth? Experience what the bayou would offer and come see Chef Ritter.
We were standing waiting for over 20 minutes before we left. They couldnt clean the table to finally make us sit and didnt even apologize. Lost 20 minutes and felt disrespected
Gumbo was good, although I have had better. The beignets were awesome, with the chocolate mousse for dipping... YUMMY!
Im not much for gumbo, but their poboy are fire! I also like their fried pickles. It was my first time trying that place there on MacArthur. But its fire!
Food is mediocre and the hostess bianca has a terrible attitude. Takes forever to be seated (espescially if youre black) would not recommend if you want this type of food youre better off getting it somewhere that is not orange county
Food was fantastic. Great portions as well. Was a struggle to finish a 16 oz bowl of gumbo! Definitely recommend it.
This place is great and marginally unique for the area. The food never disappoints. The service seems to range from sucky to ok depending on the general mood of the servers I think as Ive had sucky service when its busy, but also sucky service when my.wife and I were the only ones in the place

Thanks to all the raving reviews for Ritters, I had this place bookmarked for the longest time! I finally ventured into the OC with my friend to see for ourselves what Steam Kettle cooking was all about and now we are hooked!Since we went on a weeknight, the wait was short and we were seated promptly within 15 minutes in front of the bar. Since neither of us had ever tried Steam Kettle cooking, Chef Ritter himself introduced us to the menu and gave us a brief explanation of his recommendations.Since they are known for their Pan Roast, I ordered the Pan Roast with clam ($14.95) which is a creamy tomato based broth that comes with a large scoop of Jasmine rice. My friend ordered the Cioppino ($23.95) which is a stew that comes with pasta and an assortment of seafood. We both enjoyed our meals and with the complimentary bread we were both completely stuffed! With the huge portion sizes we had enough leftovers to take home for another meal!For all the seafood lovers, Ritters Steam Kettle Cooking is a must try! And for the first timers Id definitely recommend sitting at the bar so you can see all the action that goes behind the Steam Kettle Cooking!
Just try this place! Amazing food 👌 I literally went to New Orleans with the hope to get better taste of this kind of food but I still love this place more and so happy that we have this restaurant in OC area!

Food always good but the service was terrible! SLOW ... No organization on how to keep the flow going ....dirty tables ...people waiting to be seated with 3 people already sitting and eating with 2 servers....come on now!!
Havent been back in a while and I can honestly say that quality had gone down since they opened a few years ago. Instead of being that trendy place for great food from Vegas, its now just a good lunch place.
Food was great; served VERY hot. Server was phenomenal. Not a long wait, great outdoor heaters. Loved it.
The food was excellent and fresh and the service was just as great. The chef even had time to ask us how the food was. He was nice and thankful that we would come to his restaurant.
Its ok for fast food. Customer service is consistnely phony and pretentious at nauseating levels, unless you sit by the machines/bar. No matter where you sit, its very hot all year round. Food is very good but too pricy.
Super good food. Indoor only with quite different decor. A nice change of pace. Recommended.
My wife and I went there a week ago and loved the food. My wife is creole and family is from New Orleans, so she wanted to measure it against my familys cooking and it passed with flying colors. We are planning to take friends there this weekend. It is a hit for us.

2023-09-13 18:35:10Absolutely delicious cooking at this restaurant. Food here is really flavorful and portions are big. My lawyer suggested we go here for a dinner and it was really great. The pan roasts were the star of the show. They are creamy, savory, delicious dishes.

2023-03-12 05:15:53Decided to try this particular location since the The location on Alhambra is permanently closed. As usual, they have a short menu but offer the same Cajun dishes. Service was great. Food was overall delicious. Now, I warn everyone about authentic Cajun food; Were in Los Angeles and unfortunately were not in New Orleans or Louisiana. So this is as close as it going to get to authentic Cajun food. Yes, it could be a little bit better but as a Cajun, I approve. The calamari is delicious and definitely well seasoned. The etouffee was good but the roux needed more cooking and blending in. The clam chowder was excellent. This is it also an affordable restaurant given the circumstances in todays times. Overall, if youre in the area I suggest you check it out for yourself.

2023-05-30 05:50:53I am so glad my husband and I finally made it to Ritters.The food was delicious. I had the House Jambalaya spicy 7. It was perfect! I normally eat Thai spicy, so their 7/10 was on point. The fried Calamari was just as delicious.

The chowder fries were good and huge. I had the gumbo and I asked for a little bit on the spicier side but I still loved it and it was still savory.

Place can get pretty packed, so its best to come early and put your name on the list, especially if youre with a large group. Service overall is great, however is typically slow in the beginning. Once you have your food however, it starts to pick up.

2022-09-12 04:46:18Got the combo pan roast, comes with shrimp, crab and sausages. Also got the po boy sandwich with calamari, comes with Cajun fries. Big portions here, always packing some leftovers home. Quick service, the staff were friendly as well. Will definitely return.

I had the house special with shrimp and lobster and crab in a pink creamy sauce out of this world. My friend had the scampi and thought it was really good. They always ask you if you want it hot meaning 0 to 10 I have course went for the hottest they got in my dish the house special and it was perfect. However my friend who got the scampi said she wanted a little spicy and it was a little too spicy so be careful when you choose your level of spice. We ordered the fried okra for an appetizer it was so good and they had a very delicious creamy sauce. They serve beer and wine. Its definitely worth the visit. Enjoy!
